Consistent and good service. Im not sure why they let them say 1000mbps service when that is just a max number. Ive never actually gotten those speeds. Consistent get around 200mbps down and about 75-150mbps up. They raise the rates 10-20% every year. Just got the bill for next year and it went up 17%, last year 9%. No change, just more expensive. Some heads up and explanation on why the rates increased so much would at least be nice instead of just receiving a bill for a big increase every year.

Better than cable but while everyone else keeps lowering data services these guys keep raising prices for no reason. First T mobile and now Verizon 5g home internet at or below $50, good luck Webpass, in another years time you will have far fewer customers, but thats ok you can raise your prices again

If youre lucky enough to be in an on-net building with them, I cant recommend them enough. A stable, well-tested ISP that understands the metro fiber market. There have been outages every once in a while due to switch failure or port problems, but the company is always on it quickly and provides solid notice before planned maintenance. The service itself is stable and a FAR better value -- especially for a symmetric upload service -- than youre going to get anywhere else in San Diego.I was a bit worried service would be affected by them being purchased by Google, but Im pleased to say that things have remained incredibly reliable -- probably because much of the team is still there.

Its our first day on Webpass and I have to admit we are very impressed. Our very friendly and very hard-working installer came to the house at about noon and worked with our funky wiring for about four hours until it was fully up and working. We are now getting super fast speed of 31 megs down and 16 up, and paying a lot less then with Comcast. We are very happy customers so far.

The technician who came to install our internet, Billy, was fantastic. We were told his window was 8am-12pm, so didnt know exactly when to expect him. I really appreciate that he got here early (even before 8am) to walk around the apartment and waited until 8am to knock on our door. He was very professional and diligent and friendly. We are super excited to finally have Webpass!Dont forget to tip your technicians!

Can I give them 6 stars please?!?!? The Webpass service is fantastic. The Internet service is speedy, the cost is fantastic, but my favorite part is their SERVICE. Jamie was my service technician, and he was amazing. We had so many problems getting disconnected from Cox. It took 7 calls and 6 service visits from Cox before they could get their done. Jamie was there the whole time, ready to go as soon as Cox got their act together. He was patient, supportive and relentless about getting my new service set up. Raul was a super great help, too! I am so impressed with the service I received from Jamie and Webpass. I look forward to doing business with them for years. Thanks guys!

Internet never works and support wants you to email them as they aren’t open during they’re own business hours to accept calls. I’ve never hated a place so much. You’re better off paying for a cable package from a trusted provider. If I could give negative stars as a rating I would.

The service is reliable, and unbelievably fast. The tech who installed was quick, knowledgeable and friendly. It is also simply and fairly priced, much better value than any other isp in the area.People rating them 1 star because they don’t provide service to their homes are just absolutely idiotic. It’s called infrastructure people.... it doesn’t exist everywhere. Get a freaking clue! Would you give a whale watching your one star because they don’t offer tours in Nebraska?

Works Great! I am really surprised at all of the bad reviews. I have had such good service. Not only am I streaming all day long with my TV, I am on the internet working all day & stream all night. I NEVER have down time nor is it slow. I have multiple applications open on my laptop. I live in a 14 story building as well. Sorry to see others are having such bad experience, not sure why mine is so good.

They go down at least once a month for anywhere from 4 hours to 24 hours.Never get an RFO or even someone from customer service to call you back regarding all of the outages, despite multiple attempts. It might be cheap and fast, but if its down then its not worth a penny.

I switched to webpass a few months ago and initially it was great, but a few months ago the internet started getting really slow around prime time and their tech support said the building was oversubscribed. I waited a few weeks and they upgraded the building, but then the slowness started happening again. Online gaming and streaming are slow/unusable during these times :(Update: Service has been stable for about a year now, and FAST. Updating to 4 stars from 2

Ive been using Webpass for the past couple of years in the San Diego area. My experience with them has been great. When they initially set up the installation, they called and told me when they were coming and were on time. Note I never got that kind of quick, punctual service from Spectrum (or whatever theyre calling themselves now). They have had maintenance outages but those were often in the middle of the night and brief. Also, they had emailed me about the outtages ahead of time. Now to the most important component: internet speed. My DL/UL comes in at 20/10 Mbps on a Netgear 600 router. I had the same speeds from Spectrum using their cable modem over wifi. I would love more speed and perhaps that is more a function of the router and not the ISP: they guarantee 100 Mbps and can get up to 500. Im operating at 5x lower than what they deliver, likely because of the router. I havent done better with any other company; so for the price, the principle and service its the best Ive encountered to date.

Like everyone else, the services started out ok, but now has hit the wall. It has become consistantly slow and they don’t answer the customer support line. It is not worth it to get, I really hate to say it but I would still recommend AT&T, because at this point I can’t even stream anything!

Not in all areas. I called they said we are just in downtown currently. I placed a review on yelp and they have it removed. If this is the way they do service screen out reviews. You may want to think twice. After reading more reviews it seems they have issues and are trying to hide them by removing removes like YELP. Sad if thats their way of doing business. That made up my mind, I no longer want them as this is bad and there are bad reviews of speed inconsistencies. I have the emails from yelp showing my review was removed three times. Now i know why!

I read about this new service provider in area and wanted to see if I could switch. I called and was told theyd have to do a building survey first and I need to get the permission from HOA for them to install their equipment if necessary. I got all the approvals, called back. The person on the phone said they dont know anything about installation and that they would have someone call me back. No one did. I called again and again was told they would get someone to call me back. And again no one called me back. I tried 4 times. Never heard back. So basically I was going through the loops with HOA paperwork for nothing. What a waste of time.

I was so excited for the possibility of having WebPass come and do a site survey on the property I live in. Within an hour of speaking with a representative (Antoine) I put him in touch with my property manager to schedule the survey. Nearly a week later, after not hearing anything from anyone, I contacted my property manager who told me he was never contacted. Ive called Antoine several times after that - he doesnt pick up or return my calls.Too bad--- I didnt even get a chance to try out the service. A terrible first impression though.

It seems Im not the only one experiencing the same problems with Webpass. As most will agree, initially they were great! Maybe the fastest available. But in recent months the wifi connection has been so weak my laptop refuses to even connect. Webpages wont even load up. Dial up was never this slow! The worst part of it is Webpass simply doesnt care once they have your money. All theyre concerned about is getting a contract and moving on.

I highly recommend this service to anyone who can get it. The biggest problem with Webpass at this point is that availability is limited to larger apartment + condo complexes.Near-gig speeds at a great price. No BS contracts, data limits, overage fees, introductory rates, or haggling on the phone with retention for better prices once those rates expire. Fast setup, with an installer who was actually on time and good customer service so far. I typically see 600-700Mbps up and down, and have yet to have an outage which lasts more than a couple minutes.A note about the service - theres no extra equipment offered or provided with WebPass. All you get is an Ethernet jack with Internet. If you need Wi-Fi or multiple Ethernet connections, youll need to buy your own router. Dont skimp and buy a good one, making sure it supports the latest Wi-Fi protocols and Gigabit Ethernet. WebPass will supposedly help you set up your router, but its going to be your job to understand how it works and deal with any issues.I see some people complaining that their router or Wi-Fi is bad and giving WebPass one or two stars because of it - just realize that WebPass didnt provide that equipment and isnt responsible for it. Unless the review says that they connected their device straight to the WebPass Ethernet port and the problem persisted, you cant blame WebPass for the issue. Also, Id recommend connecting as many devices via Ethernet as possible. Wi-Fi in dense urban developments tends to get shaky because there are a ton of devices competing for bandwidth, but Ethernet is stable.WebPass has a fairly strong commitment to network neutrality principles posted on their site. Id love to see Webpass come out officially behind Title II, but maybe thats too much to ask. Their parent company & Google Fiber both support Title II, so thats still pretty good.

They were good in the beginning. i.e. when they first started their service in San Diego -- heads and shoulders above the other ISPs. Now the service is either intermittently out or so slow, its virtually unusable. The past week, especially, the service has been horrible. If I can connect to websites at all, the speed is either so slow the web pages time out or take minutes to load. I have done speed tests and am getting between 20 Kbps - 1 Mbps speeds. Literally my most recent test was 20 Kbps. Thats slower than AOL dial up in the 1990s. Ive resorted to using my mobile phone as a hotspot in order to have Internet access at home. Thats a tragic state of affairs. When I put my address into their online service indicator, it says the service is fine in my building. Let me tell you that its definitely not. I have to say I never thought Id say that I missed Cox or AT&T, but they were never this bad for this long.
