I saw Chandra for the first time about 4 years ago. I took a little break since life became a little hectic. February of this year I started seeing her again once a month for a Brazilian and Underarm wax. The first time back was definitely not easy but it has gotten easier with every visit. Chandra is sooo fast and very very precise, most importantly she has always made me feel very comfortable. I have noticed that my hair is now very thin and grows back so much slower. Ive gone from doing underarms once a month to once every 2 months because I really just dont grow underarm hair anymore!!! I have seen a very dramatic improvement in hyperpigmentation in both areas and that alone makes me very happy.

Chandra is so welcoming and wonderful, she works with what you want or need, and youre in and out in no time. Her new office so inviting and warm. If youre debating between sugaring and waxing dont hesitate, book a sugaring. Dont get me wrong, sugaring still hurts a bit, pulling hair out of your body will hurt BUT with sugaring my redness goes away within a couple of hours vs. a couple days with waxing. I dont bleed with sugaring, and the sting goes away quicker than with waxing. Honestly for days after waxing I felt very tender, but not with sugaring. Not to mention that the hair itself is pulled out better, without breaking, making the regrowth process better. Also, dont be confused when someone says they do a sugar WAX, its still not the same technique as sugaring which gives you all those added benefits I mentioned.

I’ve been going to SD sugaring for a few months now for a brazilian and have recommended it to all my friends. The first time was no walk in the park for me but to each there own. After the 1st appointment it was smooth sailing. The best part is, is that you’re in and out within 10-15 min. I was very nervous at first to go but the experience was very welcoming and you get comfortable fairly quickly. it was not painless ! it definitely hurt especially for me personally because i had very thick and strong hair. it went by quickly compared to how long i thought it would take though. i was a bit sore afterwards but i loved the outcome. i had seen videos and expected to not see any significant change from just the first session but there was a huge difference ! my hair grew back slower, way thinner, and a bit patchy (just from one session!). when i went for my maintenance appointment, it went by so much faster and definitely didn’t hurt as much because of the difference in hair growth. it still stings a little but only for a moment and once i was done i wasn’t as sore and it was cleaner than the first time. it’s not painless how some might explain, it all depends on your body but it is totally worth it, i am never shaving again !

I used to think regular waxing was the way to go, but then I discovered Sugaring and its so much better. Not only that, but Chandra makes you feel so welcome and her location has such a lovely and soothing ambience, it always makes for a pleasant experience. The sugaring itself hurts a lot the first time(but a little less painful than regular waxing). However if you keep on going consistently, it gets a little bit less painful everytime. At Sugaring SD, Chandra doesnt waste time and she does an amazing, speedy and efficient job every time! Definitely recommend for any hair removal service!

I’ve been a client of Sugaring SD and owner Chandra for a few years now. I go every couple of months for “Brazilian” sugaring treatments. Not going to “sugar coat it” (pun intended), it hurts! Sometimes it hurts a lot, sometimes it hurts a little. We are all different and experience pain differently. And sometimes each person experiences pain differently depending on the time of month, blood flow, genetics, etc. I use over the counter numbing creams, which definitely help. But the good thing about sugaring is that it’s totally bearable and much easier than wax! And it gets better each time you go. Plus, Chandra is the best. She will work with you, take as much time as needed, and make it as comfortable as possible. She’s got a beautiful new space in Mission Hills. It’s super clean and relaxing. I highly recommend trying it out! The results are amazing!

I was recommended here by a friend to try sugaring. I had never had sugaring done before and now I love it! I’ve always had thick dark hair that grows back so fast. Every other waxing place I’ve tried I’ve either gotten bad ingrowns or I was just left feeling like my hair is growing back just as dark/fast. My hair now grows back so thin and light and it’s way better than any other waxing/hair removal I’ve ever tried. Also, way less painful and quicker than typical waxing in my opinion. When I started going to Chandra my skin was inflamed and irritated. I was breaking out and I had sun damage that was very visible.
