Trash has been at the road for 7 days and still no service. An automated phone call the day before my scheduled service said we could experience delays of 24-48 hours. Its been 7 days. And its the entire neighborhood. Ive called twice and left a phone number both times. No one calls back. Called the main corporate office. The lady I spoke to was nice. She said theyd get my stuff picked up and someone from Operations would call me. I told her they wouldnt because they hadnt yet. She insisted they would. They still havent called me.Never had a problem when Heartland provided the service. Now you see what big corporations provide.I cant wait until they send customers notifications on the new trash limitations and the higher rates, because its coming.

So I never signed anything with Republic. I rented a dumpster on January 21 from Dependable Disposal, paid over the phone at drop off Jan 27 of which I have banks statements to prove. Driver said my invoice would be mailed. While the dumpster was in my possession for 4 weeks (picked up by the same guy who delivered March 1) they were bought out by Republic Services. Now I keep getting $1,000 plus bills with threatening letters about reporting it too the credit companies. They are even trying to charge me for months the dependable dumpster wasnt even here (March, April, May) It is a false debt. They are harassing me and claiming a debt I can prove is false. Do not use these folks as they can ruin your financial stability over something you dont even owe.

Our rep Tammy has got to be the sole reason we love working with Republic Services so much. In all honesty, we were unhappy with their lack of response and care until Tammy was assigned to our account. As long as they continue to hire good reps like her, everyone should experience what I do: which is a level of care that is vital for me, managing HOAs and difficult homeowners. Their rates are competitive, and we appreciate their responsiveness and Tammys willingness to solve problems for our owners. Its definitely a company I prefer over the other options, in my industry, but make no mistake that Tammy Barba has a LOT to do with that.

Think twice before signing a contract with these guys, our organization has a regular pick up with a 4 yard dumpster and for the last two months we have been trying to reach out to increase the size of our dumpster to a 40 yard. I have called no less than 15 times as trash continues to overflow across our facility, absolutely no luck getting a response, even when an escalation has been promised. Have them for business and home pick up. The drivers are very safe, professional and always come. The customer service is also top notch at the local and national level.

I had my car parked in my private spot in my community garage and one of their drivers hit it with one of the containers. The value of the reparation is around $1500. After so many phone calls and zero cooperation, the company is not going to take care of it so I am reporting them and filling a police report against them.This company is a SCAM and their service is completely AWFUL.EDIT: After reaching out the California Department of Insurance, Cayman Services (the company that Republic Services hired to pick up the trash of my apartment complex) agreed to pay me $1100 for the damages of my car even though they did not declared themselves responsible for the damages...

Missing schedule pick ups, very unprofessional I called them, I request to speak a to a supervisor they left me on hold for almost 25 min .

This company is heinous in their operations. They damaged my car during a dumpster change-out, quoted at over $1600 in damage, gave me the run around for four months with me contacting nearly everyone in their organization and they are now trying to shirk responsibility through their shark of a third party insurance company and this is after they accepted responsibility verbally and in person!!! So terribly depressing. Absolute TRASH of a company. Do right by your patrons Republic Services, this is absolutely shameful. I have made countless attempts at contact over all avenues, email, phone calls, social media, etc. and absolutely no action on this companys part.UPDATE: RUN from this company!! I emailed the below email in search of communication and help from Republic Services. They have refused to respond to me over a month later.

The gentleman who operates the recycling truck for our Windingwalk area is professional and accommodating. The phone staff are courteous and helpful. They even picked up our dead dishwasher at no extra charge.

Have called numerous times to get my recycling cans picked call in and the first they always say is Im going to escalate this and have someone pick it up tomorrow.Well that never happens the cans sit out on the street for days and still dont get picked up. But yet im still expected to pay my bill on time for service I dont receive!worst service Ive ever experienced

This company overcharges for services and has terrible customer service service when it comes to returning phone calls. Ive been leaving messages for over a week for my account rep to call me back regarding my increased bill, with no such luck. Super frustrating! If youre looking for trash service, run the other direction-this one is overpriced and obviously doesnt give a s**t about its customers.Update to my previous review:I finally received a call from my account rep, 2 weeks and a day after my initial call. She was able to help me get my rate lowered and fixed for a period of time I agreed to. Im much happier now with my new bill. Guess you just need to have more patience than I had when dealing with this company.

Our entire neighborhood used Republic and switched to EDCO. Republic kept increasing fees and then when you cancel and they pick up your trash cans its $30.00 PER CAN plus a fuel fee. A total rip off and the co is difficult to work with. I would not recommend them.

I am a resident of an apartment building and my parking spot is right next to the dumpster. The trash men routinely do not put the dumpster back into its spot so every Tuesday and Thursday I get out of my car to finish their job for them. SIX calls into customer service and THREE supervisors later, the issue is still ongoing. Customer service supervisors care more about their own pride and being right than helping customers. Would absolutely not recommend Republic Services to anyone. Stick with EDCO.

They are terrible. They have a central line somewhere in Atlanta. I’m trying to get service in San Diego. They take your money for a dumpster...then when they dont deliver it you have to call them 3 -5 times. You are always routed to a nice person who cant help you and cant tell you anything.They have the absolute worst customer service possible....you couldn’t design it to be worse than it is.I suggest never using them if you can

Absolutely the worst service possible. Complete run around waited two weeks for a bin only to find out they are not servicing the area anymore. Multiple faxes DocuSign etc.... all with ok your bin will be delivered tomorrow. No luck ....highly unprofessional I’d give them zero stars if possible

Terrible! Should not have services in its name, because it certainly doesnt provide any services. The regularly forget to pick up either the recyclables or the trash (or both!). Our HOA then has to call and threaten them to get them to pick it up. They then show up days later or not at all. They are happy to take our money though. This company should be out of business.

If you’re moving mid month, expect to still have to pay for a full month of removal because their system can only close out accounts at the end of the month.

They overcharge every single month because over weight thats what they said, one time a put empty boxes on the dumpster just to make room and some bags on the top to make look like was over weight and they charge me and I had problems to get the service done.

Scam! Scam! Scam! They won’t pick up the trash periodically but the automatic debit from your account works perfectly!!I called dozens of times, they “escalated the issue” and nobody helped. Nobody returned my money! Scam!!

One of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with. Worse than phone companies, worse than internet companies, worse than airlines. I cannot remember being more frustrated with a service provider. Been trying to get service set up for a month. Their system had problems so it kept getting delayed over and over even though we had already paid the deposit. Then when it finally got set up, it has taken over two weeks and they still haven’t delivered our trash cans. We have a pile of trash bags that we can’t do anything with and Republic customer service is absolutely horrendous.

This trash company will rip you off. They charged $220/mo for 2 yard bin and then they raised it without any warning to $280/mo. When we asked why did you raised it, they said they made mistake and they’ll drop it to the previous rate. And yet they are still trying to bill us for the $60 extra. We decided to shop around and we found EDCO, offering the same service, same sized bin for $85. Not only that they overcharge, they left their bin for 15 days after we cancelled their services and they have the audacity to charge us $130 for removal of the bin. What a scam! We’ve been with them since 2002, bills paid on time and they treated us like that. What a TERRIBLE company!!

I moved from Seattle to San Diego recently and I have to say I’m very happy with Republic recycle and garbage pick up! Always on time and our town house complex is extremely skinny with dead ends and the drivers are so precise and careful.

Republic Services regularly skips one or more trash containers and on one occasion they missed an entire neighborhood! This week, our trash was not collected as scheduled; when I called I was told it would be picked up in two days. Guess what......it still sitting on the curb!

Lazy... Once emptied, our dumpster at 4170 Park Blvd. is mistakenly placed sideways - perpendicular - to its enclosure, and sticking out onto the public sidewalk by Republic Services, so much so that its enfencement cannot close, and instead it hangs out onto the public sidewalk haphazardly. There should be no confusion. It is very obvious that the dumpster should be replaced so as to fit within its en-fenced enclosure. The blame and fault is on the laborer who chooses to put little work into the job, and just shoves the dumpster back however he chooses - his lazy effort creates a public hazard.

We are paying for and supposed to have our dumpster picked up 2x per week. I dont think they have actually come twice even one week since we have signed the agreement. This week they missed the monday pickup and despite being told TWICE that theyd come, they didnt. Then a supervisor (who I had to wait 45 minutes to speak to) told me that they HAD picked up our trash at 5:45 am. Our staff confirmed that the dumpster was still full of the same trash on Monday morning as it had on Friday afternoon. Our security cameras conformed this fact. So then a customer service representative scheduled another pick up so we didnt fill our parking lot up with trash AGAIN and AGAIN they didnt show up! Called them and was told that they could see the pick up request but that their operations had canceled it. What a messed up company!

We at Myrtle Terrace Condominiums pay for 3x a week dumpster collection and they only come 1 and occasionally 2 times a week if lucky. Pay attention to your collection dates...you may be getting rippef off too!

These people are horrible. They dont pickup the trash but still bill you. Use somebody else.

Missed pick up many times including the day after Christmas made up pick up. Called many times and was promised trash pick up at the complex but never happened. Horrible! Got neighbors complained about trash not pick up. Should check the bill sometimes for extra charges.

CHECK YOUR BILL,, IT WILL GO UP FOR NO REASON,, IF YOU DONT CHECK IT AND YOU PAY THAT WOULD BE YOUR BILL,, VERY HIGH PRICE SHOP AROUND IT SHOULD BE MUCH LOWER WITH OTHER PROVIDERS.AND IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL THE SERVICES THEY MAKE YOU JUMP THROUGH LOOPS, YOU HAVE TO SEND THEM A CERTIFIED LETTER,, JUST TO DELAY YOU..NOT GOOD SERVICE...

Pick up days are Monday, Wensday & Friday. They missed Monday & it is somehow our fault, they will not send a truck till our next pick up day & will not let me speak to a supervisor. Find someone else for trash pick up

I was behind a Republic Services trash truck today that had litter just flying out of it as it drove down the street in my neighborhood. There did not appear to be a cover over the truck. I took a picture. Something needs to be done so this doesnt keep happening.
