Install and refinish wood floors in your home

After a disastrous experience with an unnamed flooring flooring contractor we hired Atlas Hardwood Flooring to come to our rescue. Walter assigned their expert installer Nick to correct the damages from the previous company and apply the new floor in our family room. He is a true master with 30+ years of experience!After much research we decided to use a new water based product from Lobo that enhances the natural tones of our existing 30 year old white oak floors.As this product is new to the market Walter was uneasy with using it. He ultimately agreed to use the new Lobo product.The final outcome is that our white oak floors are beautiful beyond our expectations. Our floors look fabulous! Atlas did demo to dining room/kitchen tile, and laid new flooring to match existing parquet wood. They sanded and stained the two floors to match perfectly... Again, Our floors look fabulous!Walter was a pleasure to work with. He is honest and only does things the right way.We couldnt be happier with our floors. Its a good place to get your floor done right, even though the show room is closed, call and get it done right the first time

We selected Atlas Flooring for a difficult water damage repair on our existing 14 year old ash hardwood floor. Basically, they needed to repair the plywood sub-floor, replace the boards in the damaged area, (approximately 200 sq. ft.) and then lay new ash flooring in an area originally covered by carpet (30 ft. x 30 ft.). Walter did the initial bid, provided us with a hard schedule for installation after the wood arrived, and backed it up with discounts based on schedule slippage. After the wood arrived (3 weeks from order), it acclimated in the house for about a week and then Nick did the installation. I cant say enough good things about Nick. He is a true craftsman and the hardest worker I have ever hired. He was prompt, clean and is an expert at his craft. He selected each piece of wood to insure the repair looked seamless with the existing floor. After installation, the wood acclimated for another 2 weeks and then it was sanding, staining and 3 top coats of Polyurethane on 2000 sq.ft. of flooring. We elected to pay a little extra to have the wood water popped to enhance the grain which added an extra day to the process. Nick worked over the weekend to get the process back on the original schedule, finishing a day early and getting us back in our house the day before Thanksgiving. The whole process took about 6 weeks from wood delivery, but the results were outstanding. We couldnt be more pleased with the results and would recommend Atlas Flooring to anyone looking to re-finish or repair an existing floor.

We highly recommend Atlas Hardwood Floors if you are considering refinishing or installing new hardwood floors. The excellent work and customer service was a 12 on a scale of 10. Not one detail was overlooked. This was our second project with them and would not consider using anyone else. They took an impossible project and made it like new.

We were very impressed with Atlas work. Walter was a pleasure to work with and even returned after the job was done to review it. The work was perfect and we have received raved reviews. One thing to remember is that when you have the floors sanded, it will get everywhere... Other than that, would have them back again when need be.
