I wish we used a different escrow company, what a nightmare. They have not paid out my homeowners insurance premium, which is now past due. I paid this through closing costs, and it was specifically listed as supposed to be paid through escrow. Same story with my home warranty. BEWARE of using Foundation Escrow. I’ve called multiple times throughout the process to get them to follow through on what they’re supposed to do (I should not have to do this). Many times when I’ve called, their voicemail box is full. I have no confidence that they are following through with paying out all line items wrapped up in my closing costs, and I’m worried about things going wrong post home purchase. I do not recommend using Foundation Escrow when buying a home.

I recently purchased a home in San Diego and worked with Desiree who was FANTASTIC! She was highly responsive, addressed all of my questions and anticipated all things required with my closing. I had a very hectic international work travel schedule and managed to meet an aggressive 14-day closing due to the guidance, great communication and hard work from Desiree and her team. Desiree was on vacation during part of the closing period so Heather assisted who was equally wonderful to work with. They were a great team and made everything very easy!I absolutely recommend working with Desiree and Heather and will personally reach out to work with them again for future home purchases!

Terrible service in the end, we were told that we would have our money for the sale of our house promptly but this didnt happen. The sale of our home was recorded and turned over to the new buyers 5 days before we received our funds. I would never use this company again. Im currently in the process of filing a complaint with the state of California against this company.

This was my first time home buying, and Foundation Escrow North County made it easy and fast! All my questions were answered in a timely manner and the staff was very pleasant. I would have preferred an option to go to a notary instead of them automatically coming to me and charging me for it, but overall, would recommend.

Wasnt impressed by the communication efforts of Foundation Escrow North County. Asking for (lengthy) executed documents 15 minutes after sending them paired with setting up appointments unbeknownst to the end customer doesnt score well with satisfaction.

Our dealings with this escrow company was terrible! We signed all documents and wired our all our closing cost per the document we had just signed. The Notary stated that the following day we would close and it would “happen fast”. The following day we were told that the seller did not wire the correct money, we thought how strange, but let it go. Another day went by we were told that they were still trying to get the sellers money correct. The 3rd day they contacted our Realator saying that we owed and needed to wire an additional $1044.00 for taxes. We were floored! How is is possible that a legal contract was signed 3 days prior stating all monies charged and paid and after request more money? We were bounced around the company And it was unclear of who our contact person was. We were first contact via email by Becky, then she ghosted. When they asked for additional money we received an email from Vallerie. I called Valerie and she was immediately rude, defensive and lacked customer service. I kept on asking how could it be that we signed all the documents 3 days pervious and now they are requesting additional money. She rudely continued blaming the tax collector the loan officer And stated it was “our” bill. Never did she take any accountability for the confusion/mistake on their part. I was so upset with her approach with me, I stated, I would not pay the money requested due to the principal of the costumer service. She ended the phone call stating “I will contact all parties and let them know this sale is not going through” I told her to do whatever she needed to and I would maintain contact with my realtor. I contacted my realtor and told her that I did not trust the escrow company and would not pay the additional money regardless of loosing the house. My realtor stated she would not let that happen over $1044.00. I do not know who paid that money, only that I did not. I have not heard from Foundation escrow until this email requesting a review! I would never recommend this company. My lender had estimated that closing fees would be around $17,000 and that was on the high end. We ended up paying over $19,000 which did not include the additional money they requested. I question whether the documents I signed were actually correct! What I do know is they were not rude, unorganized and lacked costumer service. Definitely not someone you want to utilize when dealing with your hard earned money!

I did not like being asked to Docusign papers that were not complete or filled in, I called for help and was told how to answer the questions but was giving incorrect instructions, while this issue was holding up the progress. Another issue was the deed paperwork was sent to us too early (and I only say too early because if the deal had fell through that $30x2 would had been a waste). While others Docusign was last minute or even after the sale of my house. Last thing was they would not itemize. For example, they wanted me to sign a last minute page that said Repairs----- $1200 when I knew repairs had already been signed off on. Those repairs turned out to be staging and carpet cleaning. I had to ask them to break down a few different pages but that should be automatic.

The paper work signing was great . But when the money from the sale of our house was never wired into our bank account, they were very unhelpful. We called every day and got no help. After a week I called to see if I could get a tracking number so I could do a police report. Then and only then did they find the money . They said the money was returned to the bank that wired it on the very first day. I have no idea why they refused to look into it for us. Would not recommend this company.
