Took my puppy to get neutered here. They did a great job and were very communicative during the whole process. Would recommend.

My 18 year old pet dying of cancer and the staff playing a game whether the owners care or not. When my poor little buddy died nearly two years ago I still wonder if they care about animals. I can be wrong but their cruelty I still remember. I changed vets with my new buddy.

My buddy of 13 years passed a couple weeks ago ... through the help of Morena Pet Hospital, they helped me have his body cremated and I received his remains this week. It is a beautifully done job and we were all very happy with the results of the service. But the most special part was the hand written card from the staff that knew and cared for my dearest Jakey. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

Im veteran in distress living out of my car with 2 cats. I understand they cant board pets for free and price the boarding of to cats to $182 and was going to board them here but as soon as I asked if there was any military discount I was blown off and told they couldnt board my cats even if I paid. Suddenly there was no room at the inn, lol.Sad. Id go somewhere that cares more about the people and pets they take care of.

They are wonderful with our old, cranky cat. They have guided us into improving his health. We have taken our various cats there for decades. There’s a new staff but they just as excellent. You can trust your pet’s health to them.

Ive been going to Morena Pet Hospital for over 15 years! They always provide great service, the office is clean, the staff are kind and the doctors are honest and helpful. My fur baby is always taken care of!🐩

Its a small but very friendly place to take your pets! Brought my bunny and the vet tech was very honest about not being used to working with rabbits! I really appreciated her honesty and loved her fun personality! The vet was also very kind and able to help my bun with his needs.

Staff is friendly, and they understand that your animals are your family. It is a small facility so sometimes there can be a bit of a wait, but nothing too awful. I was happy to bring my cat in for regular check-ups with them.

Setup an appointment to spay my kitten. Paid the deposit and waited 4+ weeks for said appointment. Show up for my appointment and get told by the person who had taken my deposit that she never actually made my appointment and I would have to wait an additional 3.5 weeks. No remorse, no “we can work this out”, no sorry you took time off work. If their attitude sucks this bad toward people, for the sake of your pets go somewhere else.

Nice doctors and staff. Love Dr. Steib... she affectionately calls pet parents mom and/ or dad which makes you feel like shes truly caring for your furry babies.

Dr. Steib and her team are great. My dog got into an entire apple pie and damn near died. Thanks to the folks at Morena Pet Hospital, my little girl is still a live and well. We bring both our dogs here and both of them love the staff. If you are looking for a vet in San Diego, this is only place I would recommend.

Used to love this place. Brought my 4 cats here for years. One had an emergency this week and they were booked, which was what it was. I could get him into an emergency room nearby. I did not appreciate the lecture how his condition was potentially life threatening. I knew that which was why I wanted to bring him in. Called Morena the next day for a follow up dental for a suspected tooth abcess and was told it would be a 3 month wait. I tried to explain it was kind of urgent and was basically told I was out of luck by reception. They could not even suggest another place to take him. All this on top of a 2 hour wait last fall for a routine exam makes it clear this is not the place for me or my pets. Its a shame because the vets are very good.

Ive been bringing my dogs here for years. Never the same vet, prices are steep, and they wont fax or phone prescriptions for you. Staff are always kind and friendly with me and my pets. Location is convenient for me.

When I adopted my Bailey, I researched several local vets to get a feel. This is the one I went for. I found everyone friendly and very caring. Even their greeter dog! When I had to bring in Bailey for a bee sting, keeping in mind this was an emergency run, I was surprised how inexpensive it was. (Some vet offices care more about money than the care). An emergency visit, shot, observation and take home prescription. I was expecting a $400 or $500 bill. Not even close! Some of my neighbors have left the vets they were using and switched.If you live anywhere near Morena Blvd. THIS IS THE PLACE TO TAKE YOUR KID.

Cant remember if I rated, but this place is great. Follow ups, easy to talk to, and very comfortable. Everyone was pleasant. My kittie, Oliver seemed happy for a good hour after leaving. hehe...

Never available. Not enough staff. Always over charging. I feel they care more about the bottom line. Been going here far too long. Time to change to a place that is more caring for the animal not the profit.

My wife and I have been dog owners for 30 years and during all that time we’ve experienced many veterinarians. We simply have never met or known any vet who was more skilled, compassionate, and efficient than Dr. Jeanne Potter.We were traveling through southern California when our 10 y/o Lab suddenly developed some very serious medical issues. We came to Morena Pet Hospital frightened and concerned for our dog. Dr. Potter and her extraordinarily caring and efficient staff quickly assessed our dog’s problem, did the necessary testing in their well-equipped clinic and quickly got our dog’s problems diagnosed, treated and resolved. Dr. Potter listened carefully to our concerns, expertly examined and treated our dog while patiently explaining everything to us in detail at every step in the process. It is obvious that she and her staff truly enjoy what they do and that they are very, very good at it.If you are looking for an incredibly skilled, knowledgeable and experienced veterinarian and an extremely efficient and well run clinic, we cannot imagine how you could do any better than Dr. Jeanne Potter and the Morena Pet Hospital.

Morena Pet Hospital is a place where I trust my babies lives to. I have a deep devotion towards my cat and dog, and thankfully Morena has the same attitude. Its hard to gauge the prices, what does one pay to save your baby. But I am always able to trust that Morena isnt wasting my money.

Absolutely wonderful staff. Very good customer service and the staff clearly knew what they were doing, even though my cat was very upset. If I was staying in the area, they would be my vet for sure!

Took my dog in due to signs of periodontal disease .. It was my only concern and reason for taking him in to see the vet. None of questions regarding his periodontal disease were answered . Her (Veternarian) only focus was to convince me that my dog needed flea medication! My dog did not need it but if I wanted to also get his nails clipped, then he would have to receive the flea meds because he would not be allowed in the back office, it would cause a flea infestation.. REALLY? Steep prices and no answers...

The most caring and compassionate vet weve ever had.

My dog had licked her paws raw; I took her in to Morena PH when sores became evident and there was no way to prevent the causing behavior. I was very pleased with the facility and everyone I came in contact with. My only complaint is that although the cause of the excessive licking was most likely a contact allergy, I was talked into two tests to rule out other causes costing over $60. I declined a blood test that would have cost even more. The treatment for allergy and secondary infection has been very successful and I will use this pet hospital in the future; declining tests that dont affect the most probable cause of presenting signs and symptoms.

I am from out of town and the service they gave me and my pet was outstanding. Dr Steib is an angel! Staff is wonderful. I had an emergency and they took us right away, stayed late, communicated all costs and options and possible outcomes for my dachsund with a ruptured disk. Dr. Steibs initial diagnosis was confirmed later by an MRI by a neuro vet. She was spot on without the MRI which is excellent vet care in my book!

I got my dog neutered here and Dr. Mahlberg was awesome. She was very thorough and even called to check in with me before the surgery.However, I will not be taking my dog back to this vet because I told them I needed a certain type of heart worm medicine that I could only order through 1-800-Pet-Meds. 1-800-Pet-Meds needs vet approval before they can ship any perscription. Morena informed me to bring my dog in for a $40 heart worm test and if his results came back negative they would give the approval to 1-800-Pet-Meds.They gave me the run-around for over a week and never ended up giving approval to 1-800-Pet-Meds. They told me they were unable to do so. When I told them that they were the ones that told me to bring my dog in for a heart worm test so that they could okay the prescription, they changed their story. Now they could write a written prescription but they couldnt fax it or email it to 1-800-Pet-Meds. I ended up having to make an additional trip to the vet to pick up the written prescription and mail it into 1-800-Pet-Meds myself.Then, come to find out, they didnt even write the correct prescription so now I have to start from the beginning.As a result of their poor customer service in this issue I will not be returning.

Absolutely beside myself how to react to the event How can I say this without sounding disrespectful. Well first and foremost I am grateful that my best friend is alive after almost having his leg torn off by a pit bull.I was able to break them apart and carry my dog away as the pit bull kept coming at us all the way to my front door as I lifted my 73 lbs Labrador retriever into safety. My first responder skills that I learned with the Volunteer Fire Dept. quickly came into play as I next wrapped a truncate around Ruegers mangled front right leg to stop the gushing blood.Ruegers 8th birthday was on 3/12/15. 5 days later on St. Patricks day we got lucky all right! No one died...Quickly I rushed Rueger a block away to the closest animal hospital for emergency care. I was desperate to have him treated but not at all emotionally or financially equipped for what came next. After carrying Rueger into the operation rm I asked the Dr. / Vet about different options to keep the cost down like getting stitches through humane society, they would not do that. I had no choice but to max out my brand new credit card that I just made my first payment on earlier that day. The estimate was outrageous and knew that when I made a suggestion to bring in my own bandages and cone to save on the bill the girls got snooty and snobby. They said to return in a week for a bandage change no charge they said. So i returned they changed bandage then Crystal Steib gave me the bill: $31.50 for 1 small bandage. Oh noi said you said no charge. They said if i dont pay they will send to collections. These bandages cost around $2 at pet stores or tractor supply is where i got mine. I took 2 of the same unwrapped vet wrap bandages back to them on my third visit to replace the one they used. They still wanted to bill me for the bandage they said was going to be free. Please dont let Morena pet hospital get away with this highway robbery. I took the stitches out even tho they said that would be no charge either. Yeah right. Crystal steib you should be ashamed of your self for taking advantage of me in my tragic time. How could you. No. No.
