I responded to one of their ads for an apartment in Lemon Grove. They wanted to do a background / credit check before showing me the place. They also wanted me to move in within 7 days. Just all seems shady.
I have only been at my new place since Friday (4days) and they have a laundry list of things that need to be fixed! All my cabinets were falling off the hinges they looked amazing everything is brand new but once you open the cupboards and cabinets you realize they weren’t installed properly! I had no water pressure in the upstairs shower which is my only full bathroom! Once the water pressure was fixed we realize that there was barely lukewarm water! My 6 year old couldn’t even shower in that water! I have called Carla and Shannon. Carla tells me call maintenance they will come out at a certain time so I wait they don’t show up they show up an hour later, at that point I had to leave for work so I couldn’t make sure everything was completed when I arrived home most of the things were completed however still no hot water which was my main concern! Called Shannon twice left voice mail and never heard back! Carla stopped responding! The maintenance man doesn’t know what he can do. This is going to be a long 14month lease! I’m regretting it so much! It looks nice till you actually need to do something or use something. I WOULD NOT recommend renting from this company!
I had a great customer service experience with Carla Garcia. I emailed her I was interested in looking at the condo. She emailed me back immediately; met her the next day; I loved it; and got rolling filling out the application and deposit and bam, moved in at the end of the month; I have been there since the beginning of this year. I like the area and I am close to work. I have also been in contact with the young lady manning the desk where I drop off the rent at the Murphy Canyon office and she has been super nice and professional. When it came to calling their maintenance people; they too were professional and made an effort to get it all done promptly. Thank you!
I bought a condo managed by them. They dont enforce condo rules especially noise complaints so avoid property from them! I regret not doing my researching.
Our leasing agent Carla was truly an angel! Her personality was so positive happy & energetic & we could tell she wanted to help our family get into our dream home & that she did! Once we went into office one of the main thing that stood out to me is that when I asked who’s the manager of this property Cristen replied with WE ARE A TEAM . I recommend Arcadian Property 100% our family is happy & satisfied & thank you all so much ❤️
We cant speak highly enough of our experience with Carla at Arcadian Property Group. We were first-time renters with very little knowledge about how to find the right place with 2 pit bulls . We met with a couple of realtors before Carla, but we knew instantly that she was the one for us plus she came in highly recommended. She is honest and upfront about the company policies on qualifying and really helped to take the pressure off of us. We only found one landlord willing to accept us but wanted $2000 in pet fees so we moved forward. Carla was very upfront about the fact that her company does not charge pet fees. She was such a delight to work with and we are giving her and the company the best rating. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts we have a pet friendly condo and do not have to hide our breed restricted pets and we are very grateful. Carla you are the best.
I really enjoy my apartment, the bonus is that it is super pet friendly. Since I have two large dogs. Carla was extremely helpful in my case, which I guess everyone will experience things differently. Having good credit and everything ready for an apartment is a bonus an helpful in being prepared. Good luck to everyone who is in search for a home.
Im sad to say Ill have to move out this month, as I had a great overall experience with Arcadian Property Group! It began with Carla, who helped me get into my place with a great and professional attitude! Chad, (a property manager who is no longer there) and Shannon were always on top of any maintenance issues I may have had, and made sure they got resolved right away. If I had any questions or concerns, Shannon always made herself available to speak to. You can be sure Arcadian Property Group will treat you well as a tenant!
Shannon Abbot is the worst part of this company. shes rude when there is no need for it. shell treat you like dirt. Dont know how the owners could have hired her. The place was great until she came on board. i was given 60 day notice after living there 6 years. when i called and asked what was going on Shannon was a Bit*h. so glad i never have to deal with that witch. good luck and enjoy your life.
We rented a Condo in Oceanside never had any issues. They were pit bull friendly so we were able to keep our precious dog. Always fix any issues needed in our condo.
My husband and I recently got a place through Carla. We had to do it all over the phone and she was absolutely amazing ! She was so much help and made sure we were 100% happy. With this being our first home together she was very patient and VERY helpful ! If youre looking for a place in California I highly recommend contacting Arcadian property group! We couldnt be happier with the place, pur 2 pittbulls that are banned everywhere else are welcome and happy as can be ! We will definitely be recommending and if we need another place well definitely be going through them again! You guys ROCK
I rented a condo in Mission Valley, from June, 2014 until July, 2016 and had a very positive experience with everyone at Arcadian Property Group. Carla was very knowledgeable and professional. Within a couple of hours or inquiring about the unit, she met me onsite to show it. I went to her office later that afternoon, she approved me on the spot and I gave her a holding deposit. The next time I saw her was the day I moved in. She personally checked all appliances and faucets, closet doors, etc. Shannon was great with maintenance requests the entire two years I was there.I ended up moving because they were selling my unit. They gave me plenty of notice and options to buy the unit or lease another one of their properties. Since my move and move out inspection were completed by Sunday and I was paid up until Monday, I received my entire deposit, plus the additional day back.To everyone who seems to be bashing Carla: She is the leasing agent, NOT property management. Its pretty irrational to expect a leasing agent to call you back in reference maintenance issues, especially when they have a tenant portal for all maintenance requests and a 24 hour emergency line set up. Personally, I had very few maintenance issues because they had completely remodeled the condo, prior to my move, but the couple of times I did need assistance, I found that the response time was fairly quick. Its simple really, a landlord/tenant relationship, is a business relationship, that needs to be mutually beneficial, in order to be a good one. I paid my rent on time every month, communicated respectfully and took care of their property and they in turn treated me with respect and were good property managers.I would recommend them and rent from them again, if I needed to.
Id give then less than one star if I could. I have had nothing but trouble with this property group since I moved in. They are extremely rude both in the office and over the phone. They have zero concern for their tenants and offer no assistance problem solving when an issue arises. My husband and I are military and they definitely do not make our lives any easier.
I have had a great experience with my recent move with the company and with Carla. I was on vacation but was looking for an apartment and found Carla on Craigslist. I contacted her and we did everything over the phone and thru email. She responded quickly to all my questions and went above and beyond by sending me videos and pictures of the unit since I was all the way in New York.Upon my return on a Sunday I was unable to get my cashiers check but Carla was not annoyed by the inconvenience on my part. She gladly showed me the unit and around the complex answering every question I had. They even left touch up paint for me.I went to the office that Monday where I signed my lease. I moved in November 6. I got November rent free and paid December up front. No worries about rent until January. No pet deposit or additional pet rent. My unit was just renovated and no pest. This has been the best moving experience since me living in San Diego for 3 years. Thank you for a great experience
Getting station in San Diego had to find any type of housing that could except my pitbull. Somehow I came across Carla on Craigslist. Very helpful from the moment I contacted her. She got us our first place with a blink of an eye. Even found us our second home at a cheaper rate.My husband got deployed so I moved back with family. Here To the rescue again Carla is finding our 3rd home when we come back.I love these people would recommend anybody who has those breed restrictions dogs. They have no extra rent pet fee no pet deposit. They are truly what a pet friendly environment means. As much as they are great with pets they are great with us.
I have had an absolute terrible experience so far. I moved in yesterday and started a load of laundry. The entire upstairs of my unit flooded and it came through the walls and the ceiling. Everything is poorly maintained, they have put baindaids on everything so far. My down stairs toilet just flooded. They put a bonus room downstairs to make it seem as if there is a third bedroom and it makes the door way so narrow you cant fit furniture through it. I am shocked and mortified with my experience. This is the worst business practice I have seen. I am so sad I got involved in this.
The worst customer service experience ever. I made an appointment to visit the property that I interested in and I called the person who was going to show me the unit and she said I have other appointments at the moment. On top of that I told her that I have the documents that they require 10-15 times and she kept asking the same questions and I wont be approved if I dont have the documents. I told her already that I can provide the documents and she kept telling me that you need your paystubs. I have everything and she refused to show me the unit after I dont know why. I asked her managers number and called. She was even ruder than her. She kept telling she is not comfortable and I am not providing the documents that they need. Who asks for paystubs to show the unit? I am not even sure that I am going to rent the unit and they were requiring me to show them my pay stubs. I felt super uncomfortable. I would suggest you to not give your property to manage them or dont even waste your time to schedule something with them!!
Ive only been at my place a month and this property manager raised the rent from $1150 to $1300! Happy holidays to me :) I did find a great one bedroom in North Park for $1025 so it was a blessing in disguise. I am a hard-working, middle class guy who didnt deserve this treatment. They wouldnt even work with me before I found my new place. They also didnt tell me the reason for the increase, but I know its to allow more section 8 tenants. Faceless, corporate greed at its best. Please avoid at all costs, both owners and tenants!!
Horrible Horrible Horrible. I’m writing this review basically 4 plus years after residing in one of the properties listed. Upon moving into one of the properties I asked if a parking permit was needed, was told no I don’t since they have all our vehicle information on file. Fast forward a few months and on a Sunday morning and both vehicles were towed. Found out later as I caught the spotter and tow truck trying to tow one of our neighbors in which I confronted them both. Luckily the neighbors came down and shown them the last that was in the window. Needless to say I bet they felt pretty dumb to try that stunt again knowing someone is outside. In addition dealing with leaks constantly from our bathroom into our cabinets, which we reported on constantly and they would do repairs when no one was at home. I personal think they’d just mop or soak up the wet spots and do a shabby patch job and say all done. Yet this has ruined it for our neighbors who still love there and cause them to have to move out. Shame on them for that, id there is an issue you need to fix if vice jacking up prices and attempting to keep individuals deposits to cover your screw ups. I dealt with Carla, Shannon, PJ, Chad etc..... all smiles to get that business but when your in need it’s sinks or swim. Good thing I’m a swimmer. I’d highly I’ll advise anyone to do any business with them unless you absolutely have to. Like I did in my case do to breed restrictions. Just be careful document everything, if they say it, re confirm it in an email and send it with a reply from them. It’s sad you can’t do honest business it seems anymore. Trust me when I say nightmare though. Why else would I wrote this 4 years after the fact. Beware.......... beware........ beeeeeeewaaaaaaareeeeeee!
Management group reviews are always so emotional, either its the worst experience or the best. Renting was simple, they worked with me and were very clear. The 24 hour maintenance is just ok, sometimes they had to come a few times, but we were never left with a broken anything. The pet policy is amazing, and saves tenants a lot of money. Being able to pay rent with credit card got me a lot of points this year. The actual property was a little frustrating, with parking being furiously bad, and rude neighbors, but thats not on the management. All in all, a solid company
A couple of weeks ago I gave the best reviews. An update about this Property Management group will be added. Please review Contracts well before signing and please check in a couple of weeks what situtation my husband (from Germany) and I had to experience.
Excellent costumer service... extremely friendly aND helping... I would recommend to anyone...
The property manager Shannon is very hard to get ahold of. Even though you leave a message, it does not mean she will call you back. Ever. When speaking with her on the phone she always acts as if she is bothered or annoyed. I called to get a timeline of when my bathroom light fixture would be fixed and she gave me a snarky answer and that it wasnt an emergency. I never said it was, but it surely was inconvenient to not have light in the only bathroom I have. If Im paying over $1300 for rent I expected my place to be functioning. This is only one of the multiple negative experiences I have had with her.
I been renting from Arcadian group for almost a year,so far this is the best experience I had ever with the rent.i moved in brand new and clean apartment, Carla and Christen helped me with the tour and the paperworks, they ware awesome .the propriety manager Shanon is very profesional, she always answer my emails and calls.the best thing I like about this place is that they have an emergency phone number and they have maintenance staff available 24 hours a day.Im so grateful to fined this place😊
Shannon Abbot is hands down the worst property manager I have ever dealt with. Upon move in and approval they knew I was self employed, two months in I had a client now pay me for work and I was left to take legal action, I was very up front and clear that I would be paying my rent in full after the lawsuit was taken care of. Shannon seemed to be ok with it during our phone call. 5 days after the first I was given my first late notice and I had some how accrewed a late fee, I called Shannon and I was shown her true colors, she didn’t care about my hardship, and charged me the next month as well, when the lawsuit was over and I was paid my money I paid rent a month in advance from then on out. Shannon will make a mistake and blame her team members and was a total b**** over a refrigerater(that she ordered wrong) then wanted me to return after I already had it packed up and came home to a broken one with spoiled food in the first place . I would tell anyone that is considering renting from them, I don’t care if it’s your “dream home” Shannon will not be worth the experience! Good luck arcidaian! I hope they replace her soon, cause they are gonna loose their clients just like they lost mine. After renting for a year I called to see if I could go month to month or extend my lease, the owner has decided to sell 🤔.
I contacted Arcadian Property Group and spoke to Carla. She returned my calls the same day, Im very happy with her professionalism and her real estate knowledge. No pet fees! My dog is over 100lbs!
I cant believe what heartless people work here. My fiance and I moved across the country and found the apartments on Calle Montecito since they do not have a breed restriction list for dogs. We unfortunately did not get to see the property in person before we moved in, however hindsight is always 20/20. After living there 12 days, we were victim to attempted carjacking. Men dressed head to toe in black with masks on surrounded our car less than 1/10 a mile from our apartment. Luckily my fiance was quick on his feet and got us out of trouble. The police explained this is the main street for a sizable gang. I could not sleep another night here.We contacted Arcadian Property group and the property manager the following day explaining our situation, yet somehow THEY were offended that we were leaving. Cristen Romo refused to answer the phone and texted us back that she wasnt on the clock basically... No regard for our safety or happiness as tenants. I may be naive coming from the midwest, however I never knew people could be this cold. This is negligence to not disclose this information. They told me it was safe to walk my dog at Libby Lake park at night. I soon found out that is the WORST idea, there have been murders here. Please stay away from these people. My fiances company has placed them on a list for future new hires to stay far away. They are adding bogus charges to try to get as much out of us as possible after breaking this lease after our safety and peace of mind have been shattered. I wish the current tenants the best of luck and safety, as many were very sincere and pleasant neighbors.
Worst rental group I have dealt with! Ive rented for 3 years and they constantly keep getting worse and worse! Very unprofessional and all about pinching pennies.
The worst renting experience I have ever had. I was in the Navy for 10 years until I experienced a back injury that required I be medically discharged and be . Contacting Shannon Abbott with Arcadian property group was the least helpful, most frustrating and discouraging conversation Ive ever had with any person in a position of customer service. I ended up hanging up on her after attempting to explain the timeline and process of my separation three time, with her clearly not knowing what I was talking about and not caring. She then emailed me saying she didnt understand why I hung up on her. I emailed her back telling her again of my situation and that I hung up because she was making it seem as though I was waisting her time. She emailed me back saying she spent 15 minutes trying to help me. Our phone call was 6:43 long. I notified my command of everything that went on and they flagged Arcadian as an unreliable reality business to avoid service members from becoming involved with them in the future. Bottom line is- San Diego can be a difficult place to find housing at times, but it is not worth your trouble renting from Arcadian.
Had an awful experience with a woman named Carla. We had called on 20 or so apts and made sure to state which apt we were interested in so when they called back, we could keep track of all of the information. She calls back the next day and says I missed your call. whats your question? I asked who was calling and if it was in regards to an apt and she said well obviously. I missed your call. I was surprised by her arrogance and dont know how she thought I would know what in the world the call was about without even saying who she was, but nonetheless I said yes were looking for a 2 bd 1 bth and we have stated the one we were interested in in the message, (again because I had never spoken to her before, I couldnt magically know which of the 20 places she was calling back about without her telling me who she was calling from.) So I asked what the apt was that our message contained so I know which listing is calling me. She said she didnt know. She never listened to the message and once I got it figured out to call again. I said we did have it figured out and the info was in the message. She said good luck figuring it out and hung up on me. I couldnt believe how completely arrogant and disrespectful Carla was to a potential resident. She was too lazy to even listen to my message and then got mad at me for not being able to guess who or what she was calling about from a total of I missed your call, whats your question. Im not sure Ive ever had worse customer service.
KARLA was great and was happy to have her help but unfortunetly CRISTEN took over the property and from the start was extremely unorganized and unprofessional. Regardless the outcome the process was a nightmare and very frustrating. After forgeting to give her email multiple times and forgetting our appointment to view the house i continued to try. She seemed very lost and confused and she continued to tell me she sent me her business card Then realized she had only sent the front not the back. She then attempted to give me a buisiness card but couldnt remember where she put them. I politely pointed to the card holder that was right in front of her on her desk. Too many signs of inexperience in the office for me. TO ALL FUTURE POTENTIAL TENATS AVOID THIS AGENT. YOU WILL RECIEVE LITTLE TO NO HELP OR PROFESSIONALSM THROUGH THE PROCESS.
Definitely do not recommend.
PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND RUN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION WORST PLACE IVE EVER LIVED CHARGE MORE THAN OTHER PROPERTY GROUPS THAT SHARE THE PROPERTY AND NEVER GET THINGS DONE AND WANT TO SAY ITS YOUR FAULT IVE LIVED HERE FOR A FEW MONTHS AND ALREADY HAVE HAD MORE PROBLEMS WITH THEM THEN ANY OTHER PLACE IVE LIVED
