GOLDEN WEST HOTEL is stately, historic hotel that used to be for workers. Now it serves college students, older adults, and staff from the downtown business area. The rooms are very utilitarian, about 90 square feet with high ceilings and a fan and sink. The resident provides a small micro wave and fridge. The rent is 550 a month and deposits vary. Shared bathrooms and clean showers, a male section, and female section. There is a huge lobby to read, eat, talk quietly, or study. The floor is beautiful penny round mosaic, originial 1900s,and has art glass ceilings. Entry is controlled by buzz in.
