Now is a great time to Restart a career. At least it was for me!Forty years ago I graduated from college and started a career as an application programmer. After 15 or so years in many roles as a technologist, I started down a management path for career growth. While I was successful and enjoyed my career greatly, I also missed the technical work. Right around that time the Object Oriented Paradigm came into being, the Internet arrived and web development took off. And so, I drifted further and further away from the technical proficiency level that I had enjoyed so much. In those subsequent years, the world of technology changed leaps and bounds. I won’t go into all the details here, you’ll have to wait for my book; “Everything that changed in my lifetime...”. Ok, I’ll give you one change that I became aware of; when I was a programmer and ran into a problem, I had a small number of co-workers in the office to seek help from, maybe some friends in other companies and a vendor or two. Today, the user community is global and tightly connected. Tell Google your problem and instantly you have many suggested solutions. Wow! To continue; A year and a half ago, with a little push from a pandemic, I decided to “restart” (not retire) my professional life. After some soul searching and research, I landed on a Full Stack Developer Immersion program offered at San Diego Global Knowledge University. This online course was exactly what I needed to take me into a world that I knew existed, but was foreign to me, and which I know I will enjoy greatly. The skills that I learned will help me to expand my horizons for many years to come. Thank you SDGKU!!!In conclusion, I not only recommend the SDGKU program if you want to be a web developer, but I also highly recommend that you consider a restart and whatever that might mean to you. All the best!
Do not recommend. The full-stack developer program curriculum is ridiculously fast-paced and it is unlikely someone without any experience will be ready to apply for a job after the program. If you a veteran, there are better options to use your GI Bill. I incurred a debt after leaving the program and enrolling at Platt College and the staff said that because the VA paid them for the whole program (I was a few days over the cutoff), they were going to keep the money. There is zero chance you will be a full-stack developer in their 7 month program...zero. I checked out a few other programs and a director of one of these web developer programs laughed when I said they had a full-stack developer program that meets three times a week for half a day each meeting.***Response to your response:I am surprised that you are surprised that I would leave a review after previous communication. I waited a year until I had more experience coding and with web development in general before I left a review as I wanted to ensure a sense of fairness and truth in my review. In that time, I have contacted multiple institutions, all accredited, and they ALL say it is literally impossible to comprehend your curriculum. In fact, your instructors would have us copy and paste code because there wasnt enough instruction time to code the projects ourselves (this was a recurring theme, happened more than once). As I enter a web development bachelors program at design school next month, I am confident in my assessment above (and below).Your program has serious issues. The professors are unable to foster a true learning environment. There is not enough time for us to code and critically think through the problems ourselves. On many occasions, we were given code to copy and paste. The supplement for the curriculum was Team Treehouse, a service that costs individually $25/month. Its a great resource, but it certainly shouldnt be part of the curriculum. The students should be focused on curriculum you develop and a portfolio developed by projects created by the students completely on their own. The portfolio thats built are follow along projects that are (slang) copy pasta: the professor builds the project and we follow along. Thats known as a hands-on, instructor-lead demonstration, not an actual project. Yet were advised to add those to our online portfolios on portfolium.com.As for the refund policy, this is a VA policy, not a dissatisfied customer policy. It was my responsibility to ensure that I withdrew by a certain date or the VA would transfer the remaining funds to your program. So a simple remedy is that you could write me a check for the funds that you dont deserve. VA policy doesnt mean you need to keep the funds: you choose to hold funds for services unrendered. This may be contractually acceptable, but morally reprehensible.3 hours daily 3 days per week is a joke. At my current design school, we meet for 4 hours 5 days per week. The bootcamp that I am considering attending in Orange County (and one I checked with in San Diego) are both AT LEAST 45 hours weekly of class time. I retract my previous statement about your program being fast-paced; rather, its a lengthy program with too many coding languages to truly master or even be adequate with but without enough instruction time.As someone with 3 associates degrees and a bachelors with a minor from UCSD and working on a second bachelors in web dev, this school is a money grab, nothing less.
The Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about everything I had questions about. I learned so much from the Full Stack program. Thank you SDGKU

This is an outstanding online University for Full Stack Coding.
Outstanding coding university
Tienen un sistema muy practico de 11 meses para obtener la doble titulación. La maestra Mayra Nava es muy paciente y amable.
I recommend it, since they welcome you as if you were part of a family. I loved how they treated me from the first time I asked for reports. The support teachers are very professional. friendly, patient, very prepared and dynamic. The material is very good and explicit (the manuals), although I would like your Webcast to be a little more updated and also the platform. These are some details that I am sure will improve, but the Human Resource is fabulous.
The university has an excellent academic level, I can assure you that I have learned much more in these online classes, than in face-to-face classes. So far it is the best online learning system I have ever had. Personally, I thank all the staff and teachers for the opportunity to study here.
Very good service, they boiled my registration very easy and simple and my classes have been very enjoyable. My first few weeks have made me feel like its a good investment.
