They encourage businesses to tack on a sneaky 3% fee to your bill at the end.According to Stephen Zolezzi, president of the San Diego Food and Beverage Association he wants to keep the fees separate instead of just raising prices. He said keeping a surcharge separate from the prices on the menu allows the restaurant industry to send a message.“Yes, its a political statement. Were trying to show people the consequences of legislation that adds to the cost of doing business,” Zolezzi said.No one minds increased prices just be honest. But this a**h*** wants to make dinner a political thing.Like seriously, do what In-and-Out and every other respectable business does and just bump up your prices.Rent goes up every year, so should wages!
