Jarvis (San Clemente location) is here today doing mold remediation in my house. All individuals have been very professional, polite, respectful, responsive, and careful not to disturb the furniture and other items in the room around the mold and water damaged space. They promised to establish a negative pressure space in a tent which encloses the area containing mold, with a filter, to contain the mold spores and drywall dust and prevent spread to the broader room. They hung a tent, but did not seal the edges of the plastic with tape or create a negative pressure space by turning on a pump or fan. As they began demolition of the ceiling and walls, I noticed this and asked why they didn’t create a negative pressure space as promised. They replied that they don’t like to turn on the fan or pump during demolition because the dust and debris might clog their filter. They did have a scrubber running, inside the tent, during demolition, so hopefully that removed much of the mold spores and drywall dust before it spread to the room outside the tent. I am rating this business only three stars based on the work done at my house today, because while they were very professional and polite in demeanor, they missed an important step to prevent the spread of mold spores, even after promising to do so.
