Idk why this place has bad reviews. I always have great experiences when I come here. Literally the parking lot is so convenient and Mark always goes above and beyond!! Great customer service Mark!! Thank you
Worst postal experience ever and horrible customer service. There was a misunderstanding with my dog where she was outside when the carrier entered the gate and he saw her walking on the grass and immediately walked out and left a note that my mailbox would have to be moved outside and that he was withholding my mail. I contacted customer support immediately and explained that the dog would no longer be staying at the house after a couple of days and she was very nice and helpful and said that the mail should be delivered as normal. However, this post office emailed me in regard to my call with the general customer service and vaguely reiterated what the postal carrier wrote on the note with nothing else. No explanation, just saying that I had to move the mail box. She also said that the dog had chased the carrier out of the gate, which was wholly untrue, as she did not get close to him whatsoever. Now I do not have my mail and I am pretty sure the San Clemente customer support gave me the wrong number to contact them because my phone keeps on ringing for about 2 minutes whenever I try to call.
And theyve done it again they marked my package insuficiente address simply because they dont want to make the trip to deliver. Inconsiderate.....This is the 1000th time theyve done this and keep having to schedule pick ups instead
From Lost packages, to Accidentally sending it back and now dealing with a stolen package! My iPhone screen protector was delivered a week ago! It went to the facility and never got delivered!!! Now no one in the office can locate itThis place is the worst. Just shut it down already
I do not recommend this PO for PASSPORT services. The certified employee was very frazzled and doesn’t even know what the requirements are for the different passport scenarios. She made my son (and then me having to get involved) jump through a bunch of extra hoops by bringing an Original birth certificate down there, on his second visit to get this done, when in fact the State department confirmed (as did two other Post offices where we did the rest of our family) that we did NOT need to submit an original birth certificate for an 18 year old with a current passport. The website is very clear on what you need for your appt., it was also posted on the walls behind her in her office, the requirements for passports. When the extremely unprofessional and very rude manager named CASEY came out, she flippantly said “those are out dated” to their papers on the wall and then said “the state dept. website is incorrect”. Huh? Both of which were 100% not true. She then verbally mocked me to her employee and in front of my son, saying curtly “just do as she says, she is now a certified passport clerk”... “that’s what your saying right? That you know more than us”. I was stunned that this was how a supposedly trained manager handles a situation. Nice way to lead by example Casey. Maybe all your employees can be mocking customers by the end of this year. Sad that this is how a manager would handle something instead of using a voice of reason, mediating and moving forward positively for both the customer and employee. Do yourself a favor and do your passport business elsewhere. I highly recommend passport services at Dana Point Post Office on Del Prado. The properly certified employee was super kind, helpful, and most importantly totally knowledgeable of the passport requirements. They take your picture on the spot too if needed.
If I could give this Post Office no stars I would. I have packages delivered to the office and if it does not fit in the mail box its marked as a failed delivery attempt. I guess he couldnt be bothered to go up a flight of stairs and deliver it to the suite. There are absolutely no issues with the other delivery services.
Well, long story short, I did not like it. Short story long, the woman there kept taking breaks while I was waiting for a passport. She said that it would be ready in half an hour, half an hour later she said in an hour, an hour later... yeah, you get the point. The other customers and I wanted to see the supervisor to talk about her. Im not sure if she even called, but she possibly lied and simply said Im a puppet, dont criticize. And she took a lunch break after the 15 minute break she just had. Two or three other employees were these, but they did not stop her and when we complained they simply said She was emotionally overwhelmed. The supervisor never showed up, and we had no solid answer to the ETA of the passport or when we could talk. Overall, very disappointed, I highly recommend not going there, it is extremely understaffed with many incompetent employees. Also the woman kept asking if anyone needed stamps, when there were only two families in the room who were waiting for hours to get passports.
I just had the worst postal experience here. There is a miserable ugly lady there by the name of Laura who works the counter. She has got to be the most disrespectful/rudest person ever. When I was at the counter, she ripped the package from my hand as I was double checking the label. I told her to take it easy as I simply checking the address and taking a picture to document it. She barked at me saying that this is the post office and I cannot take a picture. Talk about someone who is miserable. What a sorry excuse for a human being. She also crushed the box a little when she took it from me. This clerk could be the poster child for the term going postal.
WORST LOCATION/FACILITY EVER!!! Called the San Clemente store location over 25 times with no answer, spent TWO HOURS on wait/hold just trying to talk to a representative with USPS customer service and when we did get a hold of someone we were told there was nothing they could do. They would not allow us to reroute our package, have a relative pick it up or even complete the delivery. We spoke to five different people and got absolutely NO HELP. They do not care. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! To be honest I am so happy that they are going to be obsolete in 10 years and will stop being a cancer to the world.
I have tried to get a package sent to me by my husband back for over two weeks now they have run me around with what I need to do. They finally just told me that it has been sent back to him overseas but he is no longer at that address. This office is completely ridiculous no one has been clear with what I need to do and they don’t care if you are unhappy with the service. They are slow to get back to you and only cause further problems by giving incorrect information. Don’t trust USPS with any of your stuff unless you want to spend time trying to figure out where it is and how to get it where it’s supposed to be. I have never had such a terrible experience and lack of customer service as I have with the San Clemente post office.
They lost a package that I had to spend $40 in shipping for. Nothing valuable in the package, but has meaningful value that I will never get back... Worst experience ever.
Excellent experience. Simon greeted us kindly and was super nice. We were in and out in less than 2 minutes.
AVOID IF POSSIBLE! . I had a package being sent to the wrong address by fault of the sender and was told by FIVE DIFFERENT PEOPLE there was nothing I or they could do about it. They said I could not redirect the package and I could not have it held for pick up by someone I did know in that area! I spent three hours on the phone just trying to talk to their customer service representative and was ultimately told looks like your SOL by the supervisor. I ended up having to contact the sender and that is when we discovered that THEY STOLE/LOST MY PACKAGE!! This is the absolute worst service I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Would give no stars if I could.
I have now been calling for three days trying to find my sons lost package but am unable to talk to anyone. I think it would be easier for me to just drive from Texas to California so I can talk to someone face to face. I would give them 0 stars but that is not available on here. I have called the usps 800# and thats a big joke, wait times are over an hour long.
I love the staff here
Patience, folks.
Great post office!
Why are most of the clerks sleep walking every time I visit this office lately? As a business owner, I have decided it is better to spend a few more dollars going with other providers than to risk getting things mixed up with these people.
Opened 7 minutes after 9. Visited on tax day (even though I didnt have to send out my taxes) and when they did open they had one person to help customers with 20 people in line . Extremely disappointed and left.
One star is too many but it wont accept 0.Back in mid March my PO box was locked after 30 plus years of use. After waiting for 40 minutes to speak with a representative, they told me I did not pay and I assured them I had never received a bill. I requested to pay but the agent said he could not accept payment as the computer would now issue me a new box. He said he would unlock the box and they would let me know what to do as soon as the figured out the problem. I gave them my phone#. He said others had the same problem. I never heard back by phone or mail and now today my box is locked again!Part 2: I filed the above complaint with their online complaint form and never heard from anyone.I went back to the Post Office, waited in line again, and spoke to the representative. He said he would re-issue my box. But the computer is broken so I will need to come back the next day.The next day I wait again and get my box re-issued. I pay for one year and am given new keys. The next week I go to get my mail and my box unlocks but has some sort of “block” in it. So, I wait in line again. Clerk can’t help me and I’m told to wait for a supervisor. After 20 minutes she comes out. I once again explain the situation and she say she will remove the block. She once again takes my phone number but once again does not call me.Now I get a call from my accountant that my important tax information was returned as un-deliverable even though my box is paid for. I tell them to re-sent it. (Note that I use a PO Box for important letters as it is supposedly safer than my street box.... So much for that idea.)The next day I get my mail with no problems but the tax stuff has not arrived yet.Today, May 19th 2016 I go to get my mail and hopefully my tax stuff and my box is locked once again! New keys do not work!So now I will need to make a special trip back to talk to them again. This Post Office literally has the most incompetent people with the worst customer service attitude I have seen anywhere. From the clerks who can’t help me to the (at least 2) incompetent supervisors who cannot call as promised or resolve what would seem like a simple problem that is 100% their fault. I can handle a simple mistake but this is unbelievable!I have filed 2 complaints with the Postmaster General. Each time they said a representative would get back to me. I’m still waiting…..
Dont even bother calling the number it is always busy. They workers attitudes are terrible. That is what you get for an government operation.
Misinformed and the clerk for passports is never present
I swear it is in their contract that theyre not allowed to smile. The employees are beyond slow and do not care if there is a line. If only 2 people working, they just walk away and disappear for long periods on time. Poorly run and the up keep is just as bad.
So far had the two packages stolen because to this post office it is considered Delivered when they smply leave a package at your door.....You have to be kidding me
Very disrespectful people...i dont know why.they still work here..very disappointed
Customer service 0 stars, cant even get through to talk to someone on the phone. 3 days in a row busy tone, do they leave the phone of the hook on purpose?
Friendly helpful service!
I love this place
Answering phone is a joke
Very limited parking.
Post game on point.
