High quality gym. Dropped by as a guest for the week and am impressed. Smaller than most gyms Im used to but still packs a punch. Has some nice old school Life Fitness Machines. Good little free weight sections. A couple power racks. Good music and some cool regulars. One suggestion - treadmills looked like they need a good wipe down. Other than that no complaints!

I wouldn’t recommend any other gym. The San Clemente location really has a hometown gym vibe and the staff truly cares about helping you progress towards your goals. The location has all of the essential equipment needed for an excellent workout. My favorite are the power racks with the bumper plates. Overall a fantastic gym.

Signed up for the 5 day pass online. Was impressed with the variety and quality of the equipment. When I showed up one of the trainers offered to show me the ropes since I hadnt been in the gym for over 10 years. The customer service was excellent. I was planning on looking at a couple other gyms but ended up signing up that night. They have everything you need and I highly recommend meeting with their trainers.

Awesome gym. Love coming here and getting a pump. The staff is super nice, the gym is super clean and they have affordable rates too. Jason and grant are awesome and helped me achieve my goals. Definitely check this place out when you get the chance.

I’ve been coming here for quite some time now and I absolutely love it! They have everything you need from squat racks to medicine balls. The staff is so friendly and so helpful! Their personal trainers are amazing!! I highly recommend Torrey if you need a killer workout!

This is actually a really great gym. Never heard of Fitness 19 until I drove by this place on the freeway. I love how they have a nice little functional training area right when you walk in the place. Good assortment of machines. Two squat racks with those cool bumper plates. Best part there’s always a bench open on chest day!

I’ve training with Dave for about a month and it’s been great results… in first two weeks gain 2 lbs of muscle according to the body scan and I am up about 6 lbs now ready to do my next body scan to see how much of it was muscle. I’ve been gaining a lot of muscle and strength with Dave’s focus and help. The staff is very friendly and helpful with the body scan data and well as I love the hydro massage after every workout it cuts down a lot of the soreness. Great gym and rarely have to wait for weights. Best no bs gym i’ve been to.

I was looking for somewhere to continue my PT workouts and Fitness 19 has all the equipment that I needed. Their membership plans are all very cheap and affordable. The man that helped me out was very friendly and made the process easy.

Pretty solid gym. A little smaller than the typical gyms im used to but that’s fine they have all the same equipment with half the crowd. Some amenities but not all the bells and whistles you find at other places, but definitely worth the price. I’m only playing $22 a month. Staff seems friendly. Place is always fairly clean as well. Plus they do play some great music none of that top 40 stuff you hear at most places. First gym I’ve been to where I don’t need to wear headphones.

Love this place! The trainers are amazing and offer tons of support and encouragement on your fitness journey. The workouts are tough but rewarding and produce amazing results quickly if you commit to it! I’ve been going to Fitness 19 about 3 months and have achieved better results in that time than I have in years at other gyms.

Its a very well equipped gym and internet special pricing is very affordable at $15 a month with $50 initiation fee.One of the things they dont tell you is there is an annual dues fee of $50 which brings total cost to $200 a year.Usual gym attendance where they have 150 people a day out of 3,000 members.I have never gone by the gym where it looked more than 5% to 10% capacity.

Joining this gym has been one of greatest decisions I have ever made. I first began going with a group that had a group rate but after seeing the facility and interacting with the staff, I am so grateful for all their help and guidance/knowledge and I signed up. Jason initially sat me down and walked me through a diet plan and workout agenda without ever having to commit to anything. This led to me signing up with a personal trainer, Garrett, and my weight and workout goals continue to be met. If you are considering a gym, this a fantastic place to check out. And as a bonus; has a massage hot water bed, and tanning booth.

Gym is very nice, super clean. All the weights re wracked. Friendly staff. They have a solid assortment of pre workout drinks and supplements. All dumbbells are always in the right place and bathrooms and changing rooms are clean. I highly recommend supporting this club. Have helped get me closer to there fitness goals with there amazing array of trainers

I started going here few weeks ago and really like it! The facility is very clean equipment is in good shape and the staff is very friendly! I have been training with Izza and he has been a very great trainer! I’m glad I chose him!

When I first started coming to the gym, I was pretty nervous to see all the free weights and equipment, but with the help of the super friendly staff members and personal trainers, my experience in the gym has been a blessing!! Today I officially squatted 360lb on the hammer strength squat machine (which is really handy for someone starting up and wants to build better leg muscles). I couldn’t have imagined myself doing this until I came here and received so much motivation from the staff team! Thank you guys!! Highly recommend this location!

It was time for me to consider changing my gym, so I shopped around. Fitness 19 was on my list and dealing with them was an absolutely terrible experience. It was one of the worst sales experiences Ive ever had, if not the worst.First of all, its a tiny gym. They only have 2 power racks, and barely any space to do any sort of exercises that involves lying on your back. When I came in, the 2 power racks were already incredibly crowded into the free weights section. I imagine the wait for a power rack must be pretty long during the busier times of the day. I also may be wrong but they dont seem to have a locker room. They have a hydro massage chair, but when I visited it was broken. Overall, its about 1/4 of the size of the SC 24 hour fitness, and while it has a smaller fee structure, the sales team at Fitness 19 is just terrible.My first interaction was when I called in to ask about how the fee structure worked. Their staff will tell you all kinds of numbers over the phone to get you to come in, and when you do come in, they change those numbers. Over the phone, they told me it was from $10/month, so I visited later that day and the sales person told me it was $15/month but he would honor the $10/month fee, and that the cancellation charge is $5 cancellation fee. However, he was not entirely sure about cancellation fee, so I left to check out some other gyms. After figuring out that Fitness 19 seemed like the cheapest and closest, even though the facility was the tiniest, I figured why not give it a chance at $10/month, $5 cancellation fee.I called them the next day and a pushy sales guy, Garret, told me over the phone that he will only talk to me in person. Fine, no big deal, so I come in. I was ready to sign up, but I wanted to make sure I understood all the fees.When I came in, he had a grimace on his face. Bad sign. He proceeded to spend no more than 5 minutes explaining the fee structure. It turns out it was $15/month with a $50 cancelation fee, $50 annual fee, and a couple other fees I still had questions about. I told him what his other staff quoted me the other day, and he said he wouldnt do that, even though the other staff member said he would honor it. Despite that, overall, it still seemed like an okay deal, but I still had some questions. But apparently, you cant ask questions at Fitness 19. If you want him to explain anymore than his initial pitch, he will staunchly tell you to either join or leave. He wont even take out a sheet of paper for you so you can calculate out the costs that he just quoted you.His behavior was so rude, that it got to the point where I told him... Look, Im obviously interested in joining. I came down here, didnt I? Are you not interested in making this sale? but he had already made up his mind to just become a broken record with only the ability to say I suggest you do the $150/3 months. Either you join or Im going to have to ask you to leave. At that $150/3 month rate, you may as well join the $45/month month to month rate at the SC 24 hour fitness which is 4x the size, has a basketball court, locker room, swimming pool, jacuzzi, spin room, and Pilates room. And thats exactly where I headed to right after Fitness 19. I suppose Fitness 19s sales success relies on a murky fee structure, and pushy, aggressive tactics.In summary, Fitness 19 is a tiny gym, with terrible sales staff who quote you really low prices and then dont honor it, and on top of that tell you to come in only to push you out in 5 minutes if you ask any questions. Garret even had the audacity to say Not worth my time. when I was leaving as though I had greatly wronged him for trying to be a customer at a his gym. All I did was repeat back quoted prices that his own staff gave to me, and try to understand what exactly I would be paying for. I now know why people choose larger gyms like Crunch and 24 Hour, and its not just because of the size. The staff at Fitness 19 are just rude and awful. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

This is definitely a gem of San Clemente. The gym has a fairly good size workout floor with very professional and good staff. The general manager, Jason is very flexible on membership start up costs, willing to work with you, and seems very passionate about each member getting to their health and fitness goals. The gym is clean, and COVID-19 friendly. One of the coaches there, Daniel, wipes down the equipment regularly if he doesn’t have a client. The coaches offered at the gym are very professional and knowledge especially if you’re wanting to compete (see Daniel or Dave). All in all, it’s a very high quality gym and a good community. The other members are very kind and respectful so you will definitely enjoy your time here.

I really like this gym. It has everything I need to have an amazing workout. The employees are really nice and the trainers really know what they are doing and talking about. They will make you have a great workout.

Signed up her a couple months ago when I moved into town. They’ve been constantly adding new equipment since I’ve been here which is awesome. Trained with Dawson for a couple months and just started training with Dave they are both great trainers

Fitness 19 is my favorite gym in San Clemente. I have memberships to a bunch of different gyms but spend most of my time at Fitness 19. They have a lot of machines and cardio options. Also a nice free weight section with a couple squat racks.

I transferred from a Northern California location and have had a great experience at this gym. I started sessions with their trainer Dan and was amazed in the help with my knee pain. After discussing my issues with Dan, he helped with exercises and techniques that have almost eliminated the chronic knee pain I was experiencing. Will be recommending family and friends to this location, and well as the trainer Dan!

This was a great place to get a workout in, the staff is friendly and you always feel very welcomed when walking into the gym. I would highly recommend this place!

Fitness 19 San Clemente is hands down my favorite spot to workout @. It’s that personal touch and community/family vibe that larger corporate gyms completely miss the mark on. I look forward to getting in the gym now and would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone.

Great Gym💪🏽 My gym just shut down recently and I drove past fitness Fitness19 and saw that they were still open. This is a great gem in San Clemente It’s not too big but that means I get to avoid all the crowds you find it normal bigger gyms. I have all the equipment I need to get my workout in they have a hydromassage bed for me to use after my work out and they also have a tanning bed. The sign-up process was super quick and easy pay nothing down for the Black Friday sale.

I’ve been working out here for months I love it !! I usually go back and forth between this location and the mission viejo location they are both pretty similar. One thing I like is there is never a big crowd over here

I just signed up at this location and it was super easy and very inexpensive. The gym is not very crowded which I like a lot. The place has good music, I always see the employees cleaning, and I get to use the tanning bed after my workouts too! overall, Im very happy with this gym.

Super clean and everything is continuously being sanitized. Staff was super chill and very easy going.

My boyfriend and I were visiting from out of town and looking for a gym with day passes. The staff here were very accommodating and offered a guest pass through their website. Very friendly staff, clean, and plenty of equipment. Wish we had a place like this back home! Thanks for the hospitality!

Go in and smell the men’s bathroom before you join. Must warn you, the smell could cause you to fall down and pass out. Hazardous. This place gets a lot of good reviews and it is reasonably priced, but in comparison to other gyms I’ve utilized here in San Clemente, this place is by far the dirtiest gym. Paula was always super nice and treated everyone well. She was always concerned for the well being of others and that they get the most out of there fitness experience. Equipment was easily available for use, I was Always able to move around the gym without having to wait extended periods of time for equipment. If they cleaned the place up better and kept the focus on cleanliness, I would consider coming back. I’ll have to stop by for an inspection and see if it changes .

Hidden Gem of a gym in the Area of San Clemente. I have been going here for a long time and this review is far overdue. This gym is always very well maintained and cleaned by the staff, new equipment in good condition, plenty of variety for all types of gym goers, and most importantly the staff is always amazing and on point with any needs of the visitors. I am a night time visitor and one of the staff that stands out and shines the most is Nikolai who is the reliable go to night time worker. The managers Zack and Ray are amazing and personable people who take good care of the gym and it shows. Do come here if youre thinking about it!!!

Fitness 19 starts at $19-$29 a month the most expensive you get a inbody reading plus hydro massage. Both plus for me also the whole staff /manager are really nice as Well educated in nutrition and fitness. Zach is a great guy always smiling and greeting everyone does a good job keeping this place nice along with the staff they keep it clean nice and no music blasting like a concert. Over all great place if you’re looking for a good and not over crowded gym.

This is a very, very clean, well maintained and well run gym, with an outstanding staff, a overall great, non-corporate vibe, excellent AC, very well trained, passionate trainers. Ive been a member of Fitness 19 here in San Clemente since they opened it here in town, and have always loved it. Especially the last couple years the remodeled and added a lot more space to exercise. Recently, I started Personal Training with Paula and it has made the experience even better. If you need somewhere to exercise you cant go wrong here.

Love this gym! All new, clean equipment. Staff is super friendly and helpful. It’s never too crowded like some of the bigger gyms. All around great environment. Not to mention it’s one of the cheapest gyms around. PS, that hydro massage bed is heavenly.

This is one of my favorite gyms. Most gyms I workout at are usually very crowded and hard to get on equipment. Ive been coming here 3-4 days a week for 6 years now, and its easily the most affordable, fully functional gym in San Clemente. Everyone is proactive and never hog the equipment.

This place is very inexpensive. They give you a 5 day free trial to see if you like it and from there have a few different membership levels. You can have full access to the equipment along with included personal training sessions for about 20$ a month right now.

So I moved and you can’t cancel ur subscription over the phone whatsoever and there’s no fitness 19 near me to cancel so I had to drive allllll the way back to do it and to cancel u have to pay a fat fine and You’ll have to pay that month also even though You never attended this month it’s a joke I feel scammed and I lost a lot of money due to this issue.

This gym is a scam. They put you on auto pay. When you try to quit they run out of forms nut tell you theyll take care of it. Then they still charge. You call and they say theyll take care of it and they dont. You then mail them as they request after the third time and they ignore it. Deny it through your bank and they deny that and claim you never notified them. I couldnt despise any tacit more than this. Its theft. Stay away from these thieves.

I have been a member of this gym for the past 8 years. Wouldnt go anywhere else for my workouts. Recently remodeled, the friendliest staff and members, no crowds...its the perfect example of a small town gym, where people are always happy to see you walk through the doors. I primarily lift weights for my workouts. The back 2/3 of the gym are machines, free weights, squat racks and cable machines. The front 1/3 is cardio machines. Everything you need is there. There is an additional large piece of resistance equipment towards the front corner of the gym, near the mats, kettle bells, and medicine balls. I love this particular piece of equipment. It has the TRX straps you can hook your feet in, a moveable platform for box jumps, a giant continuous piece of rope that is great for an incredible shoulder/cardio workout, triceps dip portion, cables towards the back. Convenient location by the freeway, the friendliest members, kindest staff. If you are looking for a gym in San Clemente, pick Fitness 19. I’ve been a fitness 19 customer for over 5 years at different locations in Ca & this place is by far the worst. Philip Lancaster, the manager, refuses to do anything about the unracked weights that are a constant problem. Never been to a gym that has been this bad with unracked weights.I have asked Philip to put up a sign for people to rack their weights like every other gym has but his response was “People who read the sign are those who already rack them” & that “We are more than happy to rack them for you”. He says that but it doesn’t happen. Obviously Philip is clueless on proper gym etiquette.The employees I talked are agree with me that unracked weights are a problem & would prefer the sign.Glad I cancelled my subscription.Never coming back to a Fitness 19 after 5 years of being a loyal customer.Good job Phil 👍

Easily the dirtiest Fitness 19 Ive been to in the county. There is only ONE paper towel/disinfectant dispenser and its hidden in a corner with a bunch of equipment surrounding it. If youre lucky and can find it, theres a good chance there wont be any paper towels. I feel like this plays a big role in why the equipment is so dirty and full of disgusting sweat marks. No hand sanitizer anywhere. Highly recommend bringing your own towel and covering the equipment while you use it. I get it, this gym membership is cheap, but this place makes any other Fitness 19 look like the Taj Mahal. If you can go anywhere else, I would recommend it, this place is gross.
