Ive steadily been attending classes for about two months now, and hands down Ive experienced a total life change. The class is perfectly paced, all the students are great, as well as the instructer. Extremely friendly and a family like environment. The best part is the variety, as Im learning jujitsu, judo, aiki jujitsu, weapons based escrima, and we recently brought kickboxing into the mix. This is the best bang for your buck. Ive also lost 20 pounds since Ive started.

We just joined and the instructors are great. Kids get personal attention and in 2 days the progress was wow! My son is usually shy but his confidence has changed. Very happy we chose this school. The availability daily classes is just icing on the cake.

An amazing school that isnt intimidating when walking through the front door. My wife and myself now attend this school and their classes. I feel great and get to train with my wife who never threes punch before this school. I am learning three different systems that simply work. No nonsense fighting, grappling and striking. This isnt an MMA school, they dont train fighters. But they train hard. Also, their kids classes are great too. They teach kids general street smarts, to respect parents, situations involving bullies and even stranger encounters. I cant ever see myself going anywhere else.

My son has been at this school for almost two years. geared more toward self defense and anti-bully attitude. my son was previously in karate that practiced perfect scenario self defense. not very practical in my opinion. what he learns at the dojo martial arts school will hopefully prepare him for (a day that i hope never comes) being confronted by a bully. this school teaches a variety of martial arts, including but not limited to, jujitsu, kickboxing and judo. anyone can go to the school to watch one of the kids or adult classes to see for themselves.

This is an amazing dojo. They have a family oriented atmosphere, great for learning step by step instructions and not having to rush and learn the next 10 moves for the upcoming tournament. If you are looking for quality training for self-preservation and fitness, this is The Dojo for you!

Very wonderful people! I have a purple belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu and over 6 years of experience and they never made me feel like they needed to prove anything to me. They have a wonderful gym and couldnt have been better to me, they treated me very well and I will be back once I get my work schedule to accommodate the class schedule.

Experience here was fairly mediocre. Your better off trying to teach your self from you tube than learn anything here

Horrible instruction. I did not learn anything here. I have 2 years of BJJ experience and was open minded and gave this place a try. What a waste of my time. Dont get me wrong Jeff is a nice guy and very good grappler but not a good instructor. Some guy named Cass or Caz seemed impatient and thought he could beat every BJJ practitioner and just spoke bad about BJJ. Not humble at all. Thats San Antonio for you.

Great place to train. The students are very cool and help each other. A beginner feels very welcome...very fast. Sensei Tovar is amazing with the kids and makes the adults feel right at home. Ive been to all the testosterone dojos...what a waste of energy and time. This Dojo is about personal growth, fitness, and family.

Was good during the first few times i went, but after a while i wasnt help in the goal i was trying to accomplish. My experience training was satisfactorily but didnt enjoy Jeff very much. He isnt very good in teaching jujitsu in a way you would fully understand the art nor the kickboxing part which i enjoyed. He seemed very insecure about what he taught and how he taught it. He also tried to like a cool outgoing guy he wasnt really the more you got to know him. i would always hope he wasnt there and enjoyed being taught from anyone else but him. Drama played a major role in why i hate it here . This place would be a great place without Jeff.

Stop thinking about it, and just come to the school. Feel free to just watch, but participating is much more fun. Become part of the relaxed, fun-loving, family atmosphere. Sensei Tovar will immediately make you feel at ease and like you are a part of a family. Sensei Tovar places an emphasis on health and wellness, but make no mistake you will also learn an art. His motivational skills and knowledge of jiu-jitsu are nothing short of amazing. In only about a months time my strength and endurance have doubled, and I have lost 20 pounds! I say again...my strength and endurance have doubled and I have lost 20 pounds. What are you waiting for? Become part of the family today.
