Well I learned something new, the Bexar County Sheriffs use Texas towing to impound vehicles. On New Years Eve we loaned our vehicle to my boyfriends brother and because he has luck like we do, his year didnt start off good. He never arrived to his destination so immediately we called hospitals and the jail. We found out he had been arrested so I assumed that the car had been towed to Growdon Road, the impound used by SAPD. After several phone calls, we found our car, Texas towing had towed it to Steves Avenue. The guy working the night shift was friendly and was wearing his Covid-19 attire, his mask. He got us in and out of there quickly. We got our car in one piece however it had been pulled apart in the inside by, Im assuming, the sheriffs. You wouldve thought El Chapo was driving our car....smh. Texas towing did a great job getting our vehicle to their impound.

They went over and beyond their scope of duties to assure that i was not able to obtain my personal belongings in or out of the vehicle. The staff was very rude and mean.

They are very expensive and I had a cop call them for me and there was no choice but I paid 175 to be towed to a mechanic that was a 5 minute drive. super pricey. If you can shop around and compare prices. The guy did come quickly though. the wait time was not long.

The towing company is in on a scam with SAPD where SAPD will let the towing company charge the me 175.00 to get the vehicle out of the way, to safety per officer. Reason being is because the vehicle was stalled out in the middle of the highway. Then the tow guy didnt even know how to get the vehicle onto the tow truck. And he kept our key to the vehicle.

The girl on the phone had a bad attitude, like theyre doing you a favor. As if these situations arent stressful enough. I am paying for a service and its not cheap. But the tow guy was really nice, helpful and friendly.

They take advantage of people when the city calls for a tow. You have the option to pay them to tow it to a location that isnt their lot. They wont tell you this.

We had been waiting 4 hours for a tow truck. They showed up fairly quickly. Driver was very nice and really knows how to park that huge truck into tiny areas.

The ladies at the windows that check you in are some of the most courteous helpful employees anywhere...even though you have to make an appointment to get to your car be advised you may still have to wait awhile after your appointment time...they only allow one person at a time in the yard...A++

I had a heavy duty tow truck move my 35 foot motorhome from one repair shop to another.The driver, David, completed the tow expertly. His customer service was exceptional and friendly.Overall, the experience was more than pleasant.

If I could rate lower than 1 star I would. My car broke down 8 minutes from my work. I walked to my office to get help to move my car. When I returned 15 minutes later a police officer was behind my car and a wrecker from Texas Towing was in front of my car and already had the front wheels up off the ground. I explained to the officer my car just broke down a few minutes ago, and he said I’ve been here for 10 minutes and you have not been around. I said yes that is because I walked to my office right there, pointing a few hundred feet away, to get help and now I’m back. The police officer said the car is going to be towed, I told him I should be given more than 15 minutes to get help or try and move the car etc. the police officer continued to be uncooperative, I continued to explain that I had no control over where my car breaks down and that a police officer should be serving and protecting, not running a scam. The officer said I have two choices. 1. Tow the car to the police impound or 2. Tow the car to your office, which is 400 feet away. I said to my office and I will need your supervisor’s contact info because this is a scam. Once the car was towed to my office (400 feet away) I was charged $175, absolutely unacceptable. IT IS A SCAM and our police officers are the main perpetrators. The police officer was waiting at the end of my hotels parking lot, and when the Texas Tow truck driver was leaving he stopped at the police car and the police officer got out and walked to the tow truck drivers window and they talked for quite a while. I’m guessing they were planning there next scam.

Watch out for this driver... he encroached at 90 degrees in my lane (I was driving 45 mph) and then constantly breaked unexpectedly to make me rear end his vehicle, waited for me to change lane and threw his vehicle at me 4 times to hit me. This was around 1604 and stone oak parkway. He was attending a major crash on 1604. If these are their kind of drivers they hite cant imagine how their management and service must be...

Bad customer service... this people think they are cops and want to talk to you like youre nothing.

My girlfriend was involved in an accident. We had a tow truck at the site of the accident ready to take the vehicle to our desired location. The officer said that we absolutely have to go through this Texas Towing instead. We drove straight to the location while the tow truck driver was strapping the car up. It’s been over two hours now and the driver is still not here. After calling their number 3 times, I was given inaccurate ETA’s, and I’m still waiting after two hours. When I called the number, a very rude lady told me that he should be there soon and we need to be patient.

The damaged my truck more then it was at the time to be towed, fee was fair enough but I know another small company with better rates and more careful drivers .... They damaged my truck body and suspension (the crash was on the front end and I had to fix a door and frame under the door, replace suspension part too.) there isn’t 0 start option .

Get all of your belongings out at once, because once it gets to their lot they will clean it out I mean anything valuable. Oh the company will tell your it is a gated and secured facility dont worry about your vehicle it will be in a secure place. Its not people breaking in and taking your stuff its the employees.

Called Texas Towing to tow my truck down the street to my house. Having needed a tow before, knew it would be around $65-$75. The tow truck gets here and the driver starts to hook my truck and I ask for the price, he says $125.... I canceled on the spot. I wasn’t about to let them rip me off...

A soup-Nazi atmosphere. They lack the ability to explain in detail in written or verbal form exactly what you need to do to get your vehicle out of car jail! Be ready to jump naked through fiery hoops with your eyes closed to accomplish anything here! No-one at the front desk can make a decision on their own so they must get the soup-Nazi to clear ANYTHING! Good luck!

Texas Towing truck was parked in the FIRE LANE at Home Depot on Fair Ave for 30 minutes while the driver shopped. Just pisses me off.

Great front desk service. But thats it. DO NOT expect any breaks or discounts! I am a police officer who had my vehicle stolen. Thankfully another PD arrested the guy but I couldnt make it to the scene to pick up my vehicle cause I was at work. Worst mistake of my life! Texas Towing picked up my vehicle and held it for only 6 hours and they charged me 220 to get my vehicle back that was stolen from me! Twice it seems. Again dont expect any help breaks or discounts! Losing a contract for sure!

Had to call out for a tow and these guys went above and beyond to take their time and make sure they didn’t damage my truck. They worked hard and efficiently to get the job done. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough and I’ll have to have it towed again on Monday when Freightliner opens but that is not their fault. Marquees (not sure if I spelled that right) was respectful and answered any questions I had and took his time to do the job the right way the first time. I’ll call on this company if and hopefully not I am in need of another tow.

Entering on 410, truck 1909 turns on overhead lights and cuts me off to merge into traffic. Leaves overhead lights on pushing his way across lanes. Once on 410 eastbound, shuts lights off. Seems if theres no call, using lights isnt appropriate. Appears drivers need better education as to when to use lights!

If you want a honest review they are a very good company. Half of the reviews are of people angry because they got car their towed. They where very helpful with moving my car when it broke down on the highway. my car was handled with A good amount of care.

My truck was stolen, which makes me the victim. The police found my truck and now I have to pay over $170. to get it back. They should have a program set in place so that I victim does not get victimizes twice for the same issue.After looking at the other reviews,Maybe its time to look into this towing company. Even though I hate towing companies. Charlotte was very kind and patient with my call and didnt make me angry.

There is quite a difference in emotions when your car is towed without your knowledge versus hiring a towing company to rescue your car because it has broken down somewhere. Our family would not have any company other than Texas Towing to handle towing our cars, boats, trailers, RVs etc. They have even traveled out of town to tow a truck that broke down. I too, have parked in a parking spot from which my car disappeared. I was parked in my friends spot at her apartment because she does not drive and her space is always empty. I went to take her something one evening and poof, 20 minutes after parking my car was gone. Not knowing that unless my car had a special sticker it was subject to being towed so I assumed it was stolen and called the police. When I learned that my car had been towed for not having a sticker I was livid as can be. I am still mad. The company that towed my car patrolled that complex and knew the space was always empty. The jerk actually saw me park there and when I went into her apt he hooked up my Lexus and drove off. In as much as I think this is reprehensible, I understand that it was my fault for not knowing the rules of covered parking. And the jerk only gets paid when he can tow a car. Sad. But, Mr. Kaufman at Texas Towing has helped us many times and we think he is a great guy.

Texas Towing is a shady business with a contract with Bexar County. Not only did I get forced to use this company after an accident, but the tow truck driver agreed to bring the other victims (a law enforcement official) car to the dealership, but refused to take mine to the dealership without buying him lunch. This company is complicit with law enforcement in forcing accident victims to impound your vehicle instead of letting the insurance company take care of it. They dragged a broken vehicle 25 miles downtown instead of towing it 1 mile to the collision center we asked for it to go to from our insurance. We watched the driver unnecessarily look around inside the vehicle looking for items to take, DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! DO NOT LET THEM TAKE YOUR VEHICLE AFTER AN ACCIDENT!

AAA was called, this was the service for the job.Everything was a problem. EVERYTHING from the tires to the RV steps to the gate to the neighbors fence across the street.All problems and reasons why they could not do there job but no solution. I was actually told if we could drive the RV into the street they would toe it then. WOW! If I could drive it the street I would not need a toe.Look people if you don’t want to toe cars etc close your business and do something else, pretty simple. It’s kind of like calling a company to put a new roof on your house and they say they can’t because they do not have a dumpster for the old shingles. Wow just wow.

I was forced by SAPD to use this tow company after an accident. Despite my insurance company sending a flat bed out and arriving before the police. SAPD sent the truck away, and this company shoes up. Both are laughing, and it seemed shady on the spot. Then when I asked if it could be taken to my body shop, I was told no. The tow driver stated that the my collision company would not allow him to drop off at that their locations. More red flags. I was given no choice on where it was to go. Now I discover between picking up my vehicle and dropping it off, they lost my keys. Only key I have for the vehicle, and now it is missing. Called and they stated they would look into it, but never call back.

Just saw one of their tow trucks put on his lights and run a red light on SE Military and Presa! This is a busy intersection and surprised no one got hurt.

One of the most corrupt businesses Ive been FORCED to deal with! Thanks city of San Antonio! Which one of your city leaders is related to or in bed with this business? !? The only way their still in business or any where else in jail! Usually they just steal everything of value in your car! Every single time they have towed a vehicle of mine EVERYTHING of value was taken with out fail! Some four or five times! Things like Rayband sunglasses (3) pairs one time and a $300 radar detect or! Over a thousand dollars of things in just one time! That Texas towing!This time my girl, left nothing of value in her car, so I guess they were Mad. The driver pulled her car all the way up on the truck bed and then let it go to roll all the way down and slam into the ground! With such force the cops even jumped! So much force it bent a tie rod and could not be driven anymore. And even though there were numerous witnesses, cops and others, and caught on dash cams, Texas towing has not returned one call in over a month about paying for the damage they did! But they sure charged us to get it back! And when we did we found out that they damaged it in inpound with a large dent in the rear!It is like we were in an accident and that accident was Texas towing! An accident would of been better, at least our car would of got repaired! They took a perfectly good car and charged us $300 plus and destroyed it! Returning a vehicle we cant drive!

Towed my vehicle and tore off the bumper and damaged the radiator in the process. They dont care about others property, I would advise hiring any other company but this one.

Was driving on 410 on 10/4/16 on my classic car when a clearly labeled Texas towing lunged its towing truck towards me, i did get to accelerate and miss him, he then decided to go back to the lane he came from and cut me off, this did happen around 3 times. from a point of view of a business owner if this is how you want to present your business and get business i am utterly disgusted, i would never use this company to tow any of my classic cars if this is how they would be transported.

Today (Friday May 20, 2016) Truck number 253 drove down the shoulder of Loop 1604 West with his yellow lights on from Judson Road to past Bulverde Road (could not see him anymore once he went over the hill) just to get past traffic. There was no accident on 1604 to respond to an even if there was, it is illegal for him to drive the shoulder until he is at the accident if he is going to one. Nothing in that area needed a tow truck.

This place is NOT customer friendly, DOES NOT have decent customer service, nor do they even attempt to help you at ALL!! Do NOT waste your time!⤵ PCR!

Truck number 2131 see driving like a maniac on the highway while turning into other cars and flipping them off as the truck forced its way into another lane multiple times. This was in heavy traffic.

Im not even a customer and I had a bad experience with this dumb company. Driving on the highway one of there employees tailgating me for a few miles. I was on the slow lane the whole time. All I can day is you have rude and out of control employees that put peoples lives in harms way.

If you are in an accident move your vehicle off the street and if you cant move your vehicle, have them tow to your house so the body shop or dealer wont charge you $500.00.
