Great Mechanic shop. Everytime i go and drop my car off i fell like its getting the best care and it does. Kyle is a great technician and his team is the best. No issues have i had since i got my car worked on here. Everything they fixed was completely on-point.💪🏿😁🏁.

This is a great shop. Kyle is very knowledgeable. They keep my Honda running like a champ. They even stay late if necessary. They do it all.

I highly recommend them for, in my experience, tire issues. Unfortunately they had family issues today and they closed early, but even though all this was happening they still took care of me with great time and work. Their prices were excellent and they didnt rush me at all. My tire pressure was literally at 1% and they got it done. Thank you so much guys. Yall have a wonderful team.

Awesome service. The only mechanic service I could find in the downtown area. AC went out in my car on a trip to San Antonio. They got me in and fixed the same day. Fantastic experience from start to finish.

My daughter had her battery replaced here 18 months ago. She moved out of the area, and then the battery went bad. Kyle was awesome helping us track down the right information for us to have the battery replaced under warranty. Thanks!

I had such a great experience with Mike’s Garage! My car wouldn’t start one morning, and I was freaking out. My tow driver recommended Mike’s, and at first I was wary to take the recommendation when I had another shop in mind. However, I saw that Mike’s had good reviews, and so I gave it a shot.And I am so glad I did!! They replaced my starter, patched a tire, and replaced a belt for a very reasonable price. They also did it in great time and were so kind and professional. I always worry that I am being swindled because I don’t understand cars, but Kyle (I think his name was?) showed me the exact problem and explained in a way that I could understand.I highly recommend these guys 👍🏻

If I ever have vehicle trouble in the san antonio area Im definitely bringing it back here, Kyle was a very big help and was very upfront about the price and how long it would take and they got right to work on my vehicle and had me out out very quick and gave recommendations as to what I should do so it wont happen again, very happy with this place

I went here bc I had a 2 year plan when I bought my vehicle. Brought it in for an oil change, brake check and radiator flush. Had a smooth transaction but didn’t check my vehicle before I left and when I checked later that day I saw there was no coolant in my reservoir no under the cap. Did they forget to put it in? I had to go back the next day and found out they put in the wrong kind of coolant for my vehicle. So they had to reflush the radiator and refill the coolant. They didn’t charge for the labor which they shouldn’t since it was their mistake that it “bubbled out” but they charged for the coolant I needed on top of the coolant I already paid for that I wasn’t even sure was in the vehicle. So I watched as they redid the vehicle and one mechanic had to show the other how to ensure the bubbles got out? I rechecked my oil and filter to be sure it was changed but looked like it had been. After they were done I asked how much coolant the radiator took and the mechanic said 2 and 1/2 bottles but when I asked for the 1/2 it was completely filled. But luckily I was able to take it with me as I paid for it.I will not be going back here and advise anyone going to recheck and ensure the job they claim to do gets done right.

I live out of town and needed to have my truck serviced due to the Check Engine light blinking.Kyle was very welcoming and worked quickly to find the issue. He let me know what the issue was and did not talk over me or with industry lingo.He made me feel comfortable and confident with their diagnosis.As i waited for the vehicle to be serviced, I noticed how Kyle spoke with other customers in the shop and on the phone. He delt with each customer in an honest and friendly manner. I could tell that he takes pride in his work and the work of the crew at Mikes.Give them an opportunity to earn your business.

I had to have my truck towed to this shop today. I had never been there before but I read the reviews and decided to go with them. I’m So glad I did because they provided Great service!! Very fair prices!! Professional!! Honest and kind!! They figured out that it was my fuel pump...They were able to replace it and get me out of there in about 4 hours from the time the tow truck driver dropped me off 😁😁 Thanks so much to the manager Kyle and the Master mechanic and the other mechanics for fixing my truck !!! Great Guys!!

They really should have some entertainment available for waiting customers but they are complete professionals at their jobs. The place is tiny and a little hard to park and leave. At least they parked the car where I could leave more easily.

Very quick and nice, my check engine light had gone on and he quickly diagnosed it was the fuel cap being unscrewed despite it being busy. It was extremely generous to not charge. I will visit this place anytime Im in San Antonio

Pretty much a rip off place! Charged me 107 for a tire sensor. Then he said if it doesnt turn off just go to discount tire! Of course all the lights are on now! Basically do your self a favor and go somewhere else!

Kyle at Mikes is very kind and conscientious about helping out his customers. I have taken my vehicles here for at least ten years. I have had them do everything from the regular maintenance to the more significant repairs like AC and transmission work. Ive even been towed im there late one evening when my vehicle alternator went bad. They have been fair and worked with me, always doing their best to get my vehicle done and out of there and in an agreeable price. I recommend you give mikes a shot, especially for service in the downtown San Antonio area.

We live in the neighborhood and were very happy to see Mikes Downtown Garage re-open in their new (nearby) location because the other options were not as trustworthy and efficient. In less than an hour my car was back to normal! My car was misfiring on the way to work that morning and gave Mikes garage a call since they were the closest shop near my work AND the reviews were positive. I explained what was going on and gave me a possible cause. After running a diagnostic, they found the problem and went to work (replaced spark plugs and one coil)What I really appreciated was their quick response and knowledge of the problem and solution. They worked efficiently and confidently.

As a mechanic with not enough time on my hands, I trusted Mikes Downtown with my vehicle. Of course I knew what the problem was just didn’t have time to tackle it myself. I took my car in a few months back to get the oil changed. Had a decent experience, it is close to my office so I was able to drop off my car and come back after work. I got the synthetic blend oil change for $20 and thought it was a great deal. I attempted to bring my car in again this morning and they told me that the $20 deal would not work for my car and I had to use the $50 full synthetic. I was extremely concerned because they either put the wrong oil in my car the first time or were trying to take advantage of me and get me to spend more money. Needless to say I did not leave my car there and will no longer use their services. The sad part is that it was the same service manager I dealt with the first time that told me the $20 deal would not work for my car. When I explained to him that I took it to him previously and was concerned that the wrong oil has been in my car for three months he shrugged his shoulders and said we will flush it out. It was absolutely ridiculous and I hope he does not feel that way with all services that they provide. Next time he may shrug his shoulders when they dont put the lug nuts on tight enough.

Not even worth one star. They replaced my brake booster and brake master cylinder and had to have it in twice over several days to make it right and couldnt ever get the brakes working properly. Had to take it somewhere else to get fixed right and then the whole brake system failed within a couple of months while driving... finally sold the car and the new owner found it to be a bad brake master cylinder (done by these guys). Will never take a car here again.

Worst experience ever! Paid 2,000 on a repair left the lot and in the middle of the Highway my car stopped . at the time where more people are driving the car behind me has to slam the brakes because my car went down to 5mi hr or less. It soon couldnt drive at at all had to get it towed to good year again. Waited 3 additional days and my car is now Fixed. The problem was that they did not know how to program a computer on a Cadillac and let a customer leave with her 3 yr old go on the high way with a questionable car. They messed up on other areas on my car that I no longer wanted to return to this one again so I went to the austin hwy kengood yr.I do not recommend this place over priced you can get better service at another mechanic and better service. The manager was helpful here but there is No knowledge on forgein cars and I was not returned my money
