I had heard some noise coming from my rear brakes. When I took it in they called later to tell me everything was fine. This was the first time somebody did not try to sell me anything. I will be going here when I do need brake service. The gentleman behind the counter was professional and courteous.

Eric was amazing. He took the time to walk me through all of the info I needed to know in order to make a decision. Very professional and not salesman pushy. He explained the value and gave you the option to accept or decline. Very impressed. Jason also answered a few of my questions. Communication was great during the service. Highly recommend the location.

Awesome service from the brake check team!! I came to them after terrible service and work from Big ‘Ol Tires. They repaired their work and went above and beyond to make sure my car was aligned properly. They took it for a test drive three times to ensure no problem still remained from the shoddy work at the previous shop. I left my car there at 9:30am on Saturday 8/28 after speaking with someone earlier that morning stating the large amount of work I needed could be completed by 6pm that day. At 5pm I still had not heard from them so I called to followup. Only then did they inform me they hadnt had a chance to get to my car because they were busy all day. Then they informed me they didnt have the part for one of the services I needed. I asked the gentleman on the phone why they hadnt called me earlier to let me know they wouldnt get to my car, and also that they were going to be able to complete the repairs. He didnt have an answer, except that it got it busy. The gentlemen on the phone didnt offer any discounts or try to correct the problem, and honestly seemed like he could care less. Makes me think this happens often. I ended up only have them complete an oil change and picked the car up at 5:55. It was well over $1k of work I was ready for them to do, but will definitely take my business elsewhere. May cost me more, but I cant lose a whole day again without a car. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION!

Came in expecting new brake pads for all 4 wheels after 65k miles. They could have easily done that and charged me. Nope, they said all good for another year. Oil change and out. Thanks for being trustworthy and honest. Always go here

I spent $1300 getting new brakes and rotors on all 4 wheels and also front wheel bearings replaced. Now, my parking brake will not hold. I guess they dont think the parking brake is important. I will replace the parking brake myself. The other brakes work well, though.

The guys were great! They took the car sooner than what they had said and fixed it sooner as well while doing a good job. I can’t remember the guys name but he explained everything with detail. Awesome place to go if you ever need your car serviced!

I had an appointment and I still had to wait 20 minutes before I was even acknowledged as a person. Several makes walked in after me and were checked in before me. 40 minutes after I checked in and my vehicle was brought into a bay the manager tells me he needs the wheel lock key. 40 minutes later, if this was a walk-in appointment thats okay. This was a scheduled time spot. The lock was not in my vehicle at the time so I stood next to my vehicle inside the work bay for 20 minutes waiting. Waiting for someone to take my truck off the lift. I made eye contact and pointed to my truck with every single employee. Including the manager who laughed at the situation, then chose to take a personal phone call. I will not return to the facility and I will tell every person I can how ridiculous this place is. The manager clearly does not know how to manage anything. Zero stars!

I needed my brakes replaced after having my HONDA SUV for over 5 years. I went online and got an estimate straight from the website then drove over to the bandera and 1604 location. Scheduled an appointment for the following day. They were very attentive, the text updates were helpful and I was given a call to state only my front brakes needed to be replaced. Overall satisfied with my visit and scheduled service!

These guys were AWESOME! Fast, professional, and didnt try to charge me for things I didnt need. Showed me exactly what they were gonna do and told me why it needed to be done. Will definitely go back and would recommend them to anybody!

Booked an appointment early afternoon to replace front pads, resurface rotors, and an oil change. Took over 4 hours to complete without acceptable excuse. Failure here was a quote that it would take about an hour. Communication was seriously lacking. Not one update on the progress/time was ever given. Wouldve dropped it off given accurate timing. Very disappointing.Price was still acceptable for the services and the minimal interaction with the staff was pleasant enough.

I was here out of town and was in need of immediate brake repair. I was very stressed out because I needed them done the day I brought them in. The customer service was amazing. 10/10 would recommend! The service man I dealt with thoroughly explained everything to me and even showed me the work that needed to be done. He understood my situation and got me right in. I am very impressed with the great customer service, speed, and getting me a good price. The service was a lot quicker than I had thought it would be as well.

I went in for brakes and received a time frame of completion… Spot on—just a few hours and when I returned everything was explained to me in detail plus I also found out that I will be due for a master cylinder replacement. These gentlemen are amazing, professional, and detailed in their explanations!!!

I set an appointment and they were ready. They were very thorough and communicated through the process. For an oil change and an alignment I ended up paying less than some places quoted me for just the alignment. The truck is driving like new 10/10 would recommend to anyone

Quick service. Did free inspection and then explained the results and the total costs. Quoted how long it would take and were done ahead of schedule.

Update:After many recommendations I decided to give Brake Check a chance to redeem themselves and they certainly did. This was my third time to them and much more resembled my first contact with them and it went well. It still did take a while but the point was they communicated that to me early and often which allowed me to plan. Maybe my second visit was a fluke. I would recommend these guys to anyone.This was my second time coming here. My first experience was great. I was in and out in an hour. Today, was completely different. I went in yesterday and they said it would be an hour but if I wanted to make an appointment for the next day my service would be expedited. I made the appointment for 915. I showed at 9am. They took me in right away. The service took FOUR HOURS. Many people came in after me and left before me. I was told at the two hour mark and the 3 hour mark they were almost done. The service I had was front pads replaced, front rotors and fluid flush. It should not take this long. The worst part was I missed another appointment because I was told it would take an hour to an hour and a half.

Awesome service! I am glad that they were able to fix my cars braking system better than the dealer did. The part that made my visit better was the great communication that was given to me about my vehicle and what steps were taken to fix it as it should be from factory. This will be my go to location for future services!

Chloe, John and Chris stayed late to finish the brakes on my SUV and get me back on the road safely. I had come in towards the end of the day and needed urgent help to address an issue before driving back to Houston. The whole time, they were super friendly and very professional. John and Joe were amazing! I had stripped my drain plug and they kept me in the loop as things got more and more serious. They were able to get the drain plug out and I didn’t have to go get a loan to pay tye bill. Highly recommend this place!

Needed work and pricing was explained before the work was done. My only complaint was the time involved to do the work. The appointment scheduling doesnt seem to work, I was there for three hours.

3rd time going and finally writing a review. Every time I go they get to my car quickly. This time they were a little more busy but they still kept me informed when they would get it back and when they expected to be done. Everybody who works there is friendly and they do have seating outside for those worried about covid or just don’t like people. Definitely going back to this location in the future.

I had a second car worked on here . It needed brakes, struts, shocks and suspension components replaced. I saved a tremendous amount by going here instead of Caliber Auto repair or Christain Brothers. John, the manager, was able to work on labor that other places would not . Highly recommend you get estimates and then go to brake check and talk to John.

10/12/2018: I was referred here by Discount Tire. My first experience was with the gentleman behind the counter named Luis. At first he came across as rough, but after talking to him he actually ended up being a really nice guy. He gave me a discount that he didnt have to give me, and saved me like $20. Every dollar counts in todays world. He made me feel like he was going to take good care of my vehicle, and with the lifetime alignment I will never have to pay for an alignment ever again (except a $3 shop/service fee only if they actually do an alignment). That pays for itself in like 2 or 3 alignments. Now Ill be checking my alignment every oil change. Also Mark the technician was very helpful and patient in explaining which parts I needed, why, and how much it would all cost. He gave me good advice, and made me feel like I was not being misled. I will still get a second opinion, but this place usually has decent prices and labor costs.

The manager at this particular location is super helpful and very nice. He went through every detail about the services they provided. I would highly recommend this location for service.

I am so happy with my new brakes!!! 😂 I still think this everytime I come off the highway and its a smooth transition. More happy that I didnt have to pay for new rotors. This is my second time using brake check. First time oil change due to a coupon received in the mail, next day appointment for alignment. Love the customer service at this location Sheinfield . We were there a little longer than expected due to trying get my Jeep aligned correctly which kept being off. They took the time to make sure it was aligned correctly. I may need shocks down the road. My point is they continued trying to fix the problem which I really appreciate. Somewhere else would not have went to that extent.I would recommend this location and will be going back.

The service is second to none, and from management to the service people are always pleasant and they explain every detail of what needs to be done or what they recommend needs to be done to your vehicle to keep it running right.

Went in due to a popping noise when making right turns and going over bumps. Was told that I needed the bushings and front axles replaced. Seventeen hundred dollars later, I still have the same popping noise despite the repairs. I took the car back in and bushings on a rod (?) were replaced (bushings different from what was replaced with the axles). Well, still have the popping noise on right turns and when going over bumps. Very disappointed with the work that was done on my car as I still have the same issue that I had when I went in a few weeks ago and spent $1700. This wasn’t my first time taking my car and my husband’s car here. They have performed other work on my Highlander and my husband’s Tacoma, and had never been disappointed in the quality of work or cost. Definitely not happy with the quality of work on this last visit.

Came in for some minor Brake Work However: The Staff recumend a few other options. Thus, I left with Proper Brakes, a plan for future work, all within a Fair Price.

This place is incredible!! The staff was friendly from start to finish. I went here for a brake check inspection since I didnt trust the other place I was at and Im glad I did! The employees were friendly, treated me like a friend, and got the job done all in one day, they also found issues with my oil pan, which they showed me. Thats another great thing about this place, they actually show you whats wrong or not even. I will be coming back for all my brake and oil change needs for now on. Trucks been here for 8 hours and this is the second time they say it’s done went to leave an brand new 2021 f150 alignment off when said was good and steering wheel not even close to straight, so I’m back here waiting for the third time

I have two vehicles and switch off so I take one every other time. Been going to this particular location for a couple of years now. They are courteous, professional, quick, and never push any products. They will suggest but take a negative answer with courtesy. I will continue to take my vehicles here.

My husband went and got my brakes done here today, they weren’t working very well but I can definitely tell the difference now that they’re fixed! Major difference in how the car stops. Brake check definitely did a good job taking care of my car.

I had an appointment at 2 pm for an alignment. Arrived at 2 pm and they were very busy, although they were ready for my truck. Tricky challenge with soft brakes but they stayed with it until the problem was fully solved. Its nice to feel safe again after working with professionals.

I went in for a problem with my Land rover. They quickly found the problem and advised me that they could take care of it but that it would be covered under warranty with the dealer. Anywhere else they would do the job and charge me but the guys there are honest and hard working. Got me out in time to take it to the dealer and the repair was covered under warranty. Thanks a million guys!!!

Came in for an alignment on a Sunday, on Monday brought it to the dealership for an oil change. The dealership told my I needed an alignment. I was like what!!! I just did it yesterday.
