Had a electrical problem and needed a whole new fuse box put in. The guys at spitfire fixed it and informed me of some other things they found and i gave them the go ahead to fix. Even with the added work i was happy about the price. The price at spitfire with all the work they did other shops would charge just to put in the fuse box. They informed me every step of the way and got the job done in a timely manner. Truck starts like a dream and the ac i thought didnt work does now. If any thing else happens to my truck this will be the only place Im going to take it.

Place is full of incompetence! Took my truck there for trailer connection and battery issue.. THATS IT! No other issues at all … Got it back the first time and ac was not working. Took it back and they charged me to fix it… picked it up again and the truck didn’t accelerate over 50… both times they said they had nothing to do with it… but whe I said “ it hasn’t moved since I gave it to y’all and hasn’t been driven since y’all have had it “ they had nothing to say except “ sometimes that happens “. They will break something else either on purpose or accident after they fix initial problem. PLEASE DONT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HWRE … believe me I feel so strongly I’ve hired a lawyer because now my cruise control doesn’t work and neither dose my horn… I’ll get my money back and more for all they have put me threw !

Great job, they (Mechanic) checked and found exactly where the problem was, no guessing due to their Hi- tech experience with the ad of machines as well. Saved us lots of time but better yet, money! Thats why weve been customers there for the past 15 years. Thank you and God Bless all... 😁👍

I took my vehicle there to get a diagnostics test instead they broke something that I just had put in their brand new and blamed it on somebody else and they also never did the diagnosis test again making me not trust any mechanics shops out there cuz it seems like they all do the same screw you over steal your parts or break your stuff and make excuses how it wasnt them and dont even get the job done very disappointing I will not be taking my car back just by the fact that they wont replace my broken part

My rating is more towards the experience I had not for mechanical or electrical service I received ( cause I had none ). The person I spoke with was very truthful and honest. They couldnt help me because of the type of vehicle I have. Instead of lieing to me and saying yes they could help me and stealing my money. He apologized and recommended another. I highly recommend spitfire electrical. 20 🌟s across the board

Was recommended by a friend and neighbor to take in my vehicle here. Not only did I get a bait and switch pricing between getting a quote from Senior @ $60/ hour to $90 when Junior checked me out for performing simple, top-side engine bay repairs, but the following day discovered theyd damage my vehicle during diagnostics for the original stalling problem; they obviously attempted to look into the fuel filter as a culprit and in doing so cracked and broke it! But instead of simply replacing the $10 part correctly, the filter was sealed permanently with an apoxy which ended up leaking and spewing all over my car, garage and driveway, causing me to frantically race on my Saturday morning to find the part, cutting the hose out and repairing it myself... Stay away from these dishonest & cheating guys!!

Had electrical issues with my 2006 Mazda 3 that through my best efforts and my regular mechanic’s couldn’t diagnose in order to get my cars AC back up running. Spitfire had it figured out and ready to go and I was back in car the next day and at a quarter of the price some dealerships where wanting to quote me before even knowing the issue. Very polite and welcoming staff. Highly recommend. I’ll be back for any automotive electrical problems I will have in the future.

Consumer beware!I think my Camry was not properly serviced when I took it in for repairs for a malfunctioning a/c system. My cars a/c was blowing hot air. After the mechanics/automotive reps diagnosed it, I was informed that the damper actuator needed to be replaced. When this was done, the a/c did not work that well. I took it be to be corrected, but was advised the blower motor was defective and needed to be replaced and would cost additional fees. I decided to do this myself. After purchasing this part and in the process of replacing it, I discovered that this was not the case. Come to find out it was the air cabin filter that needed to be replaced. This painful experience took about 7 days (I had to leave my car at the mechanic shop) and cost over $500.00. Consequently, after this supposedly a/c service repair, the following fall season, my heater was no longer blowing out hot air because apparently it was disconnected from the actuator gears, which they replaced, and I asked for the old part too and did not receive them. I endured a freezing fall season as a result. My husband ended up repairing the heater, but not before he spent time locating a selector switch and replacing it, which was the initial problem. Thank God my husband had time to resolve this matter for me and now I have heater that works. This all happened about 1 year ago, but I think it is worth noting.

They always been the best of the years at what they done. My family and I have been coming to years and always found what ever short each vehicle we owned . And they didnt let down this time. I did what ever I could to get my cars electric fan work to no avail. I knew only thing it could be a short under fuses and they confirmed. Only charged me to fix it and not test. And kept it at test price . They were awesome. Now taking it to check ac cause maybe short since it did same when fan went out.

Well, my mistake was not to take it to these guys at the beginning of my electrical problem with my Jeep. Not only did they locate the electrical short quickly, they saved me a lot of money. Will... not recommended.. took my car because of electrical issues so I thought..car would start on key turn over at times it took multiple before starting.. car runs fine it always has..they made mechanical repairs to solve starting issues to no avail..issue not resolve still will start at times on first key turnover and multiple times to start... mechanic was looking for more mechanical repairs which was never needed from beginning.. check engine light still on after repairs... but runs the same before repairs were made it always ran fine ..1020.00 dollars later.. issue not resolve..

Being newly retired military to the area, I was referred to Spitfire by another reputable auto mechanic shop North of 1604 (on Bulverde Road). They highly recommended Spitfire Automotive because of their electrical expertise and due to all the electrical issues I was having with my 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser since arriving. The shop on Bulverde Road said that they themselves had taken a PT Cruiser to Spitfire that had electrical problems. After dropping off my vehicle, they soon told me that the T. I. Power Module was faulty and needed to be replaced. The biggest wait was that the power module was on a national back order, but once the part came in they went to work and repaired my vehicle. In Closing, I highly recommend Spitfire Automotive for their customer service attentiveness, their automotive mechanic/electronic expertise and last but not least, their reasonable prices (to include the military discount I received).

I dont recommend this place at all .took my truck in bcux it didnt start and when I got it back he said well its not gonna run the same bcuz it needed more work he said at 500 dollars more after I paid 450 then I took it at the back it barely stayed on come to find out the didnt put 2 of my hoses back on my truck, so for $500 more they wouldve gave me my hoses back

I took in a 1995 jeep Cherokee a few days ago after months of not being able to figure the problem & less than 3 days later they called with an answer. The service was nice & respectful, kept me updated & guaranteed I could drive off safe. I havent gotten the chance to test drive but when I got home and turned the engine off it shut off like it should as opposed to before, when I would take the key out the engine would hesitate and stay on for a few seconds later when it shouldve shut off immediately. Knowing this problem was tied in or contributed to the reason I took it in I feel assured that they took care of it well & feel safe driving it for once.

I am thrilled with the service and work I received at Spitfire. My vehicle has been giving me issues for months. No less than five different mechanics had taken a look at it and no one had found the problem. I took it to Spitfire, and they called me two hours after I dropped it off and said they had the problem located. I picked it up today and it is running without skipping a beat I am so happy! You guys are the best and honest and fair!!!!

I went to Spit fire on Saturday 8/27/2016 after me having to call them several times they tell me my car needs 2 replacement coils and the ignition control module which I knew was a lie because the coils had just been replaced on Thursday and then I was going to have another mechanic replace the Ignition control module and he said after it being tested over 10 times that this part wasnt bad either. He suggested it could be an electrical problem so I decided to try them since the diagnostic was $45 but in turn was going to cost me $518.00 for something that wouldnt have fixed my problem. I took my car to have friends cousin which after speaking with him states he used to work for this place and they are scam artist that is the reason he no longer worked there. I dont recommend anyone goes to this place. RIP OFF

They add extra cost not discussed. I called them and explained to them that I need a part replaced in my car They quoted 260 me a so I spent $60 to tow the car to them. But then they added a diagnostics to for another $60 after me telling them that I didn’t want it because i already did one and I just wanted them to do what we discussed over the phone they told me that they were going to do it anyways I feel taken advantage of. I had no choice but to leave my car. I wish they would have been up front with the extra cost. Will update of if they even replace the part or if they try to add even more bull charges.UPDATE: they told us they could do the car the same day it has now been a week we had to rent a car to get around they finally called and told us they same thing auto zones free test told us a misfire but they couldnt fix it they want to send us to a transmission guy want a jokewhat a rip off now I dont know what we are going to do

What a rip off! I took my 1996 Tahoe in because it had a slow battery drain. They checked it out gave me the green light told me everything was okay and charged me for diagnostic checks.My battery continue to drain can I had to replace the battery several times.I decided to give them another chance and give them a whole lot more information. I logged the battery drain on a daily basis giving them a percentage of how much it dropped everyday. I made sure to talk with Cesar Junior letting him know how slow the battery would drain. He assured me that they can take care of the problem. I trusted him and took it in.Later the next day they claim they found the problem it was wiring and they can fix it. $471 later I took my Tahoe home only to find that a week later the battery was dead. I took it back two more times and the last time they had it for 2 weeks. The problem still persists. Its unfortunate that these guys specialize in automotive electric yet they cannot fix a simple parasitic draw from a 96 Tahoe. In addition to not fixing my problem I received a couple new door dings on my pride and joy. I would not recommend these guys to a friend or family.

Fix electrical problem, fast and friendly. I took my mothers truck and Manuel helped us. Told us up front the fees to diagnose the problem. Called within the hour to tell us what the problem was and how much it would cost for parts and labor. The car was ready the same day but I asked if I cold pick up the car the next day. The total price was cheaper than what they quoted us at thte beginning. Thanks

RUN WHILE YOU CAN I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone! TERRIBLE SERVICE ! My husband had left his truck for a check up at 1 pm and it is now 6 and we have NOT received a phone call about the vehicle so we called a little after 5 just for the recording to say they close at 4 when the guy said they closed at 6 today, they must be on drugs then come to find out they are closed on sundays how do you expect us to be with out a vehicle NEVER will I recommend this company AGAIN worst service ever

This place is s total Rip Off.. I paid $423 for electrical power windows to work. Replaced fuses so the tale lights to work. So now I have no back up light. They sold the business, new owner didnt guaranteed their work. Now my windows still dont work. Got Ripped off.

I am the owner of Powerstroke Towing, and I can tell you...these people, Manuel, Ceaser have really helped me out, many many times... I have been meaning to put a five star review for them over two years ago. This time it was a MUST! I took my tow truck to Southwest Public Safety on Perrin Beital, They not only told me it would take two days because It had an electrical issue in my wiring, but after taking it to Spitfire it took them three minutes to replace a fuse! I kindly called back to Southwest and told them that my truck would’ve been down for two days because after diagnosing it they were saying it was a short in the wiring... The gentleman at Southwest told me ***Very happy for you, I hope you choke in your sleep”*** I stayed calm, and professionally hung up, I called back to speak to a manager and he was telling me he was the manager and I asked him how he could talk to someone like that and he just did not care. I totally recommend taking your stuff to spit fire, they may be real busy and backed up at times...But they know there stuff, that’s for sure! Thank you Spit Fire for getting my tow truck back on the road!

Spitfire Auto Electric has the worst customer service given by the so called manager!!! They had our truck for almost 2 weeks and hadnt fixed it!!!! Knowing we needed our truck because we were down to one vehicle!!!! They already had the parts to do the work, which my husband had bought for them already on day 1 and day 3 of them having our truck. Spitfire had the nerve to tell us one of the parts wasnt working right and that was causing delay but we never got a call about it!!! My husband and I had to drop by more than once to ask about our truck getting fixed because when you call, the manager gives you the run around and tells you he will call you back with update and never does!!!!! So disappointing and Ive never experienced such horrible customer service!!!!! My husband and I decided to tow our truck out of Spitfire and took it to a mechanic not far from there and in an hour he got it running perfectly with the so called part that wasnt working right lmao!!!Spitfire had the nerve to charge us Almost $150 still!!! For what?!?!?! I have no idea!!!!!!!! What a rip off!!!! Also, this so called manager had the nerve to raise his voice at me when i was asking him why didnt they call us for any updates or for putting in a so called part without giving us an estimate etc??? You can tell he was so upset that we were towing our truck out of there and questioning him.....such a bad negative attitude....I will never go there again and I will never recommend this place to anyone!!!!!!!! Mechanics seemed like hard working men though and look like they have no say so unless this bad customer service manager tells them what to do.....its so sad when we were towing our truck from there a few of the mechanics apologized for their manager told my husband of other mechanic shops to got to lol!! This establishement, sounds good at first. They give you one price for the work. But dont explain during the process of your vehicle or even update you before the repair is being made. They expect the customer to cough up the money from out there was to pay for the despair. This place is a scam. I expected to pay less than what I paid. I have a family to feed and I know he does also, but he takes advantage of the customer..so be carefull when leaving your vehicle at this place, you may loose it if you cant pay the bill.....take the vehicle somewhere else...

This place is a RIP OFF!! One of my car windows would not roll up. They thought I was a vulnerable female and tried to charge me $300! Manuel there told me that it would be $68.00 for the part (window switch) with another $65.00 for labor and $167.00 to replace the wiring. Sounded like a scam to begin with. So I asked Manuel if I bought the part if it would make it any cheaper. He told me that he had to special order the part because none of the dealerships have them in stock. So...I did my research and called the Dodge dealership on IH35 and Somerset (less than a mile from there). The switch cost me $17.00! When I went to pick up my car, I mentioned that I found it for $17.00 and all he had to say was ah, chingow. Then I told him I would replace the switch and see what happens. Then, he goes on to say Well, I would fix the wiring first because if you change the switch it will just burn out again. So bought the switched, changed it out myself (with no tools) and it worked!! Obviously he told me that so I would not change the switch and realize that he was full of crap! If the wiring was messed up my window would of not gone up. Those Jerks!! I will report them to BBB because I would hate to see ANYONE get scammed so badly. DONT TRUST ANYTHING THEY SAY! Do your research.
