We are SLC locals and went on the tour to explore our own city. Highly recommended! The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Even though some of the places were closed because of construction and COVID it was still worth it.

Just finished our Explorers tour of Temple Square in Salt Lake City and wanted to give a big shout out to our awesome tour guide, Chris! He was fantastic! We didnt expect much from Salt Lake City as were just passing through on our way back from Yellowstone and on to the national parks. This tour ended up being a highlight of our trip thus far! Chris had a lot of great stories and factoids to share about the buildings and culture. He really seems knows his stuff and have a passion for what he does! A gentle soul who was very concerned about answering the questions posed by those in our group. Great experience and highly recommend it!

It was really nice tour to see the famous place with guide. I can’t remember his name, so sorry, but he was really kind and helpful. He was professional. Me and my family are asian, and we are not used speak English. He spoke slowly and pronounced clear for me and family. Tour courses are reasonable and easy to access anywhere. I’m highly recommended this tour for everyone who plan to see most famous place with awesome explanations. Thank you so much!!!!

Absolutely fantastic. My wife and I were booked with City Tours from our hotel, and they arrived promptly at the time that they said they would. Since there were no other people signed up for the group tour, it was just my wife and I in the car with our tour guide, Michael. He took this job as a retirement gig to stay busy, and he was just full of amazing information that he provided with kindness, passion, and humor. We had a blast with Michael for FOUR HOURS! We were thrilled! He was sweet, patient, informative, and truly made our tour a special occasion. We are appreciative of his time and care.

I enjoyed the tour this past Sunday. It was a great way to see all the downtown sights without having to wander an unfamiliar city. Our guide was fun, humorous, and very informative. The tour covered lots of things and we even got to hear the Tabernacle Choir and the famous pipe organ. I liked that the tour left just the right amount of time to see things.

I wasnt too interested in that aspect when reading up on their website but now Im glad we have them, theyre of very good quality and didnt add much to the cost.

If you plan on Visiting Salt Lake City (SLC) the best way to see it is to take the tour with Salt Lake City Tours. You will be driven in an air conditioned bus by your guide who is well informed of the history of SLC. Our tour guide was Mike part bus Driver and part Thespian. During your tour, when he needs to tell you about the history of SLC he will go into character which made it fun and interesting to understand how SLC came about. I highly recommend this trip with Salt Lake City Tours before you try to go out on your own thru the streets of SLC. You wont be disappointed its worth the price you pay for the tour. Oh, and dont forget to TIP your GUIDE after the tour!THIS IS THE PLACE

This is a charming walking tour around downtown Salt Lake City led by a local guide. We saw many buildings downtown and went inside some of them. There was a half hour musical production with a pipe organ and colored lights on the organ. We saw the historic train station that Walt Disney copied. We walked through a beautiful garden with a mirror pond by the Mormen temple. The state capital was gorgeous! There are many places and things to take pretty pictures of. It was only a two hour tour but my phone was nearly dead from taking so many pictures! The website suggested tipping the guide 20% which at first I thought sounded kinda high but he really earned it! He gave us a lot of personal attention and was full of things to say about everything. He was great! The price was pretty good compared to other walking tours weve done. Thank you for making our stay in Salt Lake City fun!

What a wonderful place - and Chris explained it all!He was a wonderful guide on our afternoon/evening tour of Salt Lake City. We had been in the city for a few days and were curious about some things - he had them all on his tour. He gave us insight we could not have gotten elsewhere. Great experience, great tour, great service. Everyone should start here for a tour - then you can come back to sites on your own!

Wonderful day!Our tour guide was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about all of the places that he took us without sounding like he had memorized a script. He made it a priority to make sure everyone had a good time and got the most out of the tour. Walking was easy as we frequently paused for commentary about things around us. Never was there long stretches of walking. I highly recommend this tour if you have never been to Salt Lake City. There is no way we could have experienced that much on our own.

Id definitely recommend this tour. The guide was very well-informed and shared a lot of interesting information and history in a fun way. The website says walking distance was one mile but it didnt feel that long. There were no long stretches of walking. It was hot outside but the guide kept us in spots with shade and we were inside air conditioned buildings for much of the tour. There was a half hour organ concert on the morning tour we booked. The inside of the Utah capitol was incredible! We found parking at City Creek Center one block away from the meeting point to be cheaper than the Plaza hotel garage the website recommended for $2 per hour. The shopping mall parking was only 2 blocks to walk and it cost only $4 for 4 hours. The roll at the Lions House is worth getting for a snack for $1.

Wonderful tour doing the Ultimate sightseeing experience package! The tour driver was very friendly and savvy about everything we saw. The Great Salt Lake was quiet and peaceful and the tour driver had a lot of information to share. The Salt Lake City portion gave a great overview of the main things of the city. The stops at Temple Square and the Utah state capitol allowed us to walk around with the tour guide and have a private tour. The organ concert was phenomenal! The lunch at the Lions House was a great choice. The tour guide told us the story of the famous dinner rolls and honey butter and he was spot on! Delicious and we even bought a dozen more to take with us!

Great job to our driver! This was a lot more than I expected it to be. The driver had so much information to share on the lake and explained things very well. He was a funny guy and kudos to him for adding some spice to the trip! There isn’t much to the lake other than a few pretty photo spots and the information the driver shared. It’s quiet, not at all like going to a beach or lake back home. There were just a couple of boats on the lake and a Chinese tour bus had a hundred of them everywhere but otherwise it was very much not a busy place before they arrived. The driver told us a few things about the city and it sounds like the city is the more interesting place to visit. We thought it would just the opposite! Oh well, we saw the great salt lake and crossed it off our list and next time we’ll try the city tour.Pickup from our Hotel was very convenient and the vehicle was new and clean with ample leg room.

Terrific tour of Salt Lake City, 6 stars! Great Salt Lake tour was good but maybe just 4 stars. Overall I rate 5 stars for both tours then. Not much to see at Great Salt Lake but I give credit to my guide for trying very hard to make it as interesting as possible. Without him the lake would’ve been a complete bust. So at least he made it informative and somewhat fun. The City tour was outstanding though!

This was quite a good tour of Salt Lake City! We were picked up for free from the hotel. We made several stops to take pictures and walked around the Mormon temple and garden, the Catholic Church was beautiful, went inside the Utah Capitol building and it was gorgeous, a lookout point over the city, the pony express national monument, the Mormon trail monument. It covered a lot of ground and gave a good overview of the whole city. The driver was very informed about his city history and a very nice and easygoing man. He offered to take pictures for us with his professional camera and sent them to us later that day. This was a great value for the money well spent!

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with this tour! Weve taken walking tours in other cities and with the exception of New York, San Francisco, and Paris, typically theyre cheaper but usually theyre dull and this was a good case of we get what we pay for. This seemed kind of pricey but it had positive reviews so we booked it online and got a confirmation email and met the tour at the Plaza Hotel. Our guide was Chris, he was super sweet and cute. I enjoyed his stories and pop trivia about Utah. We saw a lot more to the city than the website description said and the organ concert in the Mormon tabernacle was marvelous! Chris made it a fun day for us and I wholeheartedly give my endorsement of him and this tour!

He had every ideal photo opportunity down pat, so dont forgot to bring a camera or you can ask him to use his nice camera and he sends you the pictures. I always love to Red Trolley any new city Im vacationing in,and this tour was notably exceptional and above and beyond! The 3 cast members were knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and comfortable with their scripts and with the history of Salt Lake City. The tour encompassed more than I knew to expect, so much more than the Mormon settlement, so my new knowledge of SLC gave me an even better appreciation for the city, its people, and its history. And the tour offered snacks! I would definitely recommend the SLC Red Trolley Tours!

The tour covered the highlights of Mormon history and founding of Salt Lake City by them, as well as a lot non-religious commentary and humor. This was not a religious tour or one just for Mormons. On multiple occasions the Mormon missionaries at Temple Square approached us to recruit us for their narration but we told them we already had an excellent tour guide.Although not a photography tour, the guide did try to incorporate photography at many of the points of interest and offered to take portrait style photos for people in the tour group. He was gracious and sensitive to my own personal disinterest in having my own picture taken, I don’t subscribe to any social media nor scrapbook, I was on the tour simply for the sightseeing. Though most in our group seemed anxious to take advantage of his offers of photography. The guide brought a camera with a large lens.
