I was greeted by 2 Sister missionaries they were very friendly one from England and one from Missouri. They give a great tour of the place they collect clothes and many other Goods and they sort them into three different piles for men women boys and girls in 200 pound bales and send them all over the world. They also do charity work like provide wheelchairs for people with disabilities and water wells for people who need fresh water. and many other services. They distribute these two not just members of the church but to any other people all over the world..

This is the single most spiritual place Ive ever frequented. It was even more spirit-filled than the temples Ive gone to and Ive gone to several. I was so overwhelmed when I stepped in the door that i wondered for a moment WHERE I WAS! I love the tour and the ending movie and all the amazing people I saw there. WHAT an experience!

I was so impressed with all that goes on at the Humanitarian Center, and felt very proud to be part of a church that reaches out to help so many. The tour was great, the missionary couples were wonderful, and the opportunity to tie quilts was fun! A great Relief Society activity!

This is the Deseret Industries Humanitarian Center. NOT a Thrift Store. They do not sell anything here. They prepare humanitarian supplies for use worldwide and train those desiring to develop employable skills to become self-reliant.

Great place to learn about the humanitarian efforts of the LDS church. It is also a fun opportunity to help by tying quilts.
