John was our technician today he was very friendly. He answered all of my questions, and I feel like he did a very good service. He Sprayed everywhere I asked him to which made me really happy, he also Left traps everywhere in my home. Really recommend their service. I had a termite inspection and they determined that I didnt have an active problem. Im so relived! Very professional, on time and reliable.

UPDATE: After failing to come to two scheduled appointments, without a phone call, the Branch Manager called me and explained the situation. Rather than make excuses, he owned the mistake and we had a good conversation. He was extremely fair in making up for the missed appointments and we rescheduled. The tech showed up within the two hour window and did an excellent job finding the sources of the problem and was more than willing to explain what he was doing so I could do main pest control in between appointments. The tech worked quickly but efficiently.ORIGINAL: Ive heard nothing but good things about Orkin, but I dont think I can trust that. I scheduled my initial inspection, left work early to meet the tech and they never called or showed up. I sat on the 800 number line for 45 minutes before calling Orkin HQ and rescheduling for the following day. Same thing. Left work early to be there for the 2 hour window the tech was supposed to come by. At the very least, they owe me for the time I missed at work (5 hours). Thats the bare minimum discount Ill accept to do business with them.

I love my Technician Chris. He’s been coming to our home for a year. He’s very nice. I was curious of the bugs in my-monitoring traps; without me asking, he explained to me what they were. Thank you for always being so helpful!

Update***I called in bc I thought I saw an unauthorized charged. Called in and got told what happened which the agent explained perfectly. Told agent what I actually wanted to be done on my previous call and she offered to cancel my service over the phone but did still need to wait the 30 days which fine. I’m changing my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars bc this agent made a WHOLE difference and changed my perspective on the way the company runs. Shout out to her!Original ****Still not sure how I feel about the service overall but I’m very upset about how we have to cancel service and their billing. Before signing up GET CLARIFICATION.Was told I have to write a 30 day notice letter stating “ I want to cancel my service” in order to cancel which is in my opinion ridiculous. I’ll be putting a block on my card so they don’t try anything funny while they get my letter. I’m making sure I get a copy of it and copy of it being delivered. I feel like I just got scammed $100 + the initial $150+ I paid to start the service.

The inspector was thorough, made me aware of what he was looking for, & patient with his assessment. He did not rush through the inspection and educated me during his stay. He was educated, professional, & enjoyable to speak with. He was fair and gave me tools to manage at home to rule out what the problem is and a plan for if I will need to have him return to intervene. I highly recommend this service!! You will be taken care of well!

They came right away when I called. Thorough inspection. Did not jump to conclusions. Enabled me to find my own evidence before engaging in service. Treated me with respect.

The tech wasnt any more sure than I am that I have mice, since the indications that I have experienced havent been very clear or specific. However, whatever is there, I think in the walls, needs to be eradicated.He put down some traps and sealed two entrances that mice could enter through, one under my sink and one outside by my air conditioner.He was very thorough, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. He was also very concerned about my issues and I appreciated his friendly attitude and that he even gave my puppy attention as we discussed these issues. I would like to give him a commendation if thats a possibility.

Great company. I use them mostly for the Box Elder bugs and they definitely help. The lack of other pests was just a bonus for me. Any time I call they are quick to respond and their techs are great.

I was extremely disappointed in my service with Orkin. We had a Tech come out to our home to spray and he did not do full rooms or walls inside, there was spider webs all around our back door, front door, and entry way when he left the house. He was here for under 10 minutes and then I was charged $113.I have now been in contact with Orkin for over a week to cancel my service and get a refund and I have been passed around over and over. I have spoken to 5 different people in the office who have all told me Your information has been passed along, please wait to hear back I have yet to be contacted or refunded. This was very unprofessional and I will not be using or recommending this company again.

I’m very pleased with my service today! I was sent text messages to let me know when the representative was on the way, and when he arrived! ( on time might I add!) Vincent was very thorough and explained the service agreement and process in detail.

Arrived earlier then expected and wore PPE while inside our home, was quick and hyper efficient.

The 1st guy that came out to my place did amazing job. I found mouse droppings under my sub Floor in two of my rooms and the first room got clean up properly. In the 1st Room the guy came out twice and was thorough about it both times. The 2nd Room a different guy came out and did a horrible job. There were so many mouse droppings that were left and clearly visible that i had to go in and disinfect and throw away insulation. Why did I pay for service where I am the one that has to go back and finish your employees job. I told the first guy about it and he said he would contact the office to get someone out again, but I needed to start working on the house again and didnt have a choice but to clean it up. The first guy was great but the second guy makes me want to not recommend your service to other people

They didn’t give me the mosquito service when I specifically asked for it, and they weren’t very thorough with the rest of the service. Sad. Next time I will use Aptive!

There service has been hit or miss. They constantly reschedule or send messages stating that they need to return to complete services. Also they have messed up my billing since the beginning. I have only had services from them for a few months avd have had to call customer service a few times already to resolve billing issues. In the end they always resolve the issues but its a huge waste of my time and a huge hassel.

Weve been going through them for years. Its the only pest control company I will use, as its the only I have found that works!! Great price and very rarely do we ever have to have them come back in between scheduled visits! Always kind and courteous, and they make sure you are 100% satisfied!

Horrible service hired to get rid of gophers and was told if they could not get rid of them that they would refund our money. That was a lie it has been a year so plenty of time to get rid of them and they are still an issue. Asked for our money back and they refused. So when they tell you money back guarantee its a lie. Never use Orkin

I recently got treatment for box elder bugs done at my house using Orkin’s service. The treatment seems to be working great for the exteriors of the house. I’m trying more intensive treatment for the interiors of the house. Their manager who’s looking after the North Salt Lake region is a professional and reasonable man. I felt at the core of their service is the ability to work with the customer for their satisfaction. It’s this humility of theirs that made me go for their service after talking to their competitors. Box elder bugs is a seasonal issue with “no silver bullet” and “Orkin doesn’t have a new secret formula that’s going to revolutionize their treatment”, but having the ability to empathize and connect with a customer at a human level will go far far in establishing customer loyalty than any monetary factor or google review. I hope they realize this subtly and keep doing a great job.

I have used Orkin for years. We have an older home with a lot of foliage. We have had numerous ant problems & some big pests wed rather not have indoors. Orkin has consistently cut this down to a fraction without harming creatures we like (garden snakes). We have tried other pest control companies & we were always disappointed & it never saved us money in the long run. Now we just stay loyal to who we know works. Very nice inspector, grateful for his help. However, when I was showing him where I could see sunlight from the outside that he could fill, he made it sound like pulling all of the insulation and finding those holes would be too much work. We are just waiting for a follow up visit within 10 days.

This company is collecting all the payment while providing me with half the services. Social distancing means they will do outside of the property but not inside and I find it not only similar to fraudulent business practices but poor value as well. Canceled my services and will NOT use orkin EVER again.
