A1 disposals truck was in front of me on I-15 when a long piece of sheetmetal blew out of the truck, and scratched the side of my truck.A-1 admitted fault, agreed to pay for the damages, keep telling me they will send a check, and do not send the check. This has been going on for 3 months.I have emails proving all of this.Stay away from this shady business.

My experience with Melanie and A1 Disposal has earned every star on this review. I originally left a review regarding the amazing service I received while setting up our roll off container for a construction project. We have required two hauls since the bin has been delivered and both times I was able to get through to Melanie to schedule within less than 5 minutes. The bins show up on time, and the ETA is always spot on. I will definitely use A1 any chance I get.

Amber provided great customer service. I was able to dispose of dirt from my yard for a great value. She helped me select the best option, and then when there was a mishap with the landfill that accepted the dirt, she was able to clear up the mistake. Great company to work with.

If I could give zero stars I would.I live at the Spring of Country Wood in Midvale.I want to know why your driver keeps skipping his pickups? He was here again this morning, got out of his truck looked at the cans and again just left without picking up the trash! He has done this a few times already since you were hired to pick up the trash here.We have pickups Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. He is always skipping at least one day a week. And when it comes to the next pickup the cans are overflowing!!He throws trash on the ground and doesnt pick it up. Just emptys the can and leaves.A few weeks ago he only picked up on a Monday. Drove by on Wednesday came back Friday morning and took off. The trash was all over the place. The manager had to call you guys to get him back out here.It was NASTY!!Like I said. He skipped the cans again on the southeast side. Come Friday they Weill be overflowing again!Your driver sucks!! He needs to do his job!Im paying for your service. If I had a choice I would hire WM! They might be a little more expensive and I know they wont skip pickups!And I bet you wont even respond to this rating.Thats what happens when your driver skips his pickups. Look at the picture its nasty!!Here it is May 8th 2018.And they still have A hard time coming out to empty the bins. We here every excuse they can come up with. The driver is sick, the driver quit, driver is on vacation.I have no idea how they are getting a 4.4 star review.Last time they were here to empty the bins was on May 2nd. Before that they only emptied what they wanted to.Here is A pic from this morning.A week ago Monday it was a lot worse.And its just not these bins that look like this. Easy to work with and incredibly helpful! Prices were great! We had been searching for dumpsters to do a large project in our backyard and most companies had a limit of up to 6 tons. Thankfully we found A-1 Disposal who could haul more and had options for flat rate for concrete! HUGE lifesaver! The drivers Chris and Tim were awesome. Very informative and professional. We will definitely use them again in the future!

I love how it is a flat fee.. Other dumpster rentals charge by the weight. These guys give you a flat fee with a weight limit that is completely more than you should need. Melanie is super friendly! Wonderful service!

Mixed review here. I had occasion to rent a large dumpster 3x in the past few months. Each time I used A-1, and the dumpster delivery, scheduling, and coordinating went well. Melanie was polite, and the process of signing agreement via email went well. No one enjoys spending $1200+ on dumpsters to throw away junk but it needed to be done and I had found their pricing reasonable. (5 stars to that point)Where things went south for me was the last rental, and my assumption that pickup was already happening after I had agreed to pay for 1 week use of a 3rd dumpster (because I had one that was full and it needed to be dumped and brought back but apparently no dump & return fee allowed. I needed to pay a full extra week for a separate dumpster - which I agreed to do). That 3rd dumpster was also full after a couple days use.So the 8th day of having that final dumpster came today and it was not picked up so I called. They informed me that I should have called earlier, and that I would be responsible by contract for the dumpster fees today, and each day forward until they were able to come and get it. After an unpleasant back and forth they agreed to help me, but the call ended with them saying I was blacklisted and not to call back and then hung up on me.I felt upset about what I think is a predatory practice of operating in the gray area of assumptions (and memories) with the fine print of the contract. Never did they specifically warn me that I needed to schedule in advance to avoid extra days rental fees. They record the calls, and I am grateful for that, however I was not provided with a copy of the call I could listen to, and I wish the interaction today had gone differently. I am glad they helped take the charge off in the end, but the issue here really is the general assumption of paying for 1 wk as a customer, and then having the burden (as written in fine print) of scheduling IN ADVANCE of your paid rental term so that they can schedule pickup before your term is up. I didnt like, and I stand by that. They could have called me and asked if I needed more time before starting the clock/$ on me beyond what I agreed in the initial phone call? But that doesnt generate more revenue so.... yeah, that is why they would not do that. I dont get a refund for having returned the 2 previous early? Anyways, I dont have a need to rent another dumpster so the Blacklist can exist on its own, but I am posting my experience here as a caution to others.bottom line: Be on the ball with your schedule, because they are waiting to capitalize if you arent. It is on you to schedule pickup in advance.

I normally never have time to write reviews, but I switched over to A-1 Disposal at the end of last year and I couldnt be happier! I wanted to specifically write this review to recognize Candace for her incredible customer service. She always makes you her top priority. Anytime I call her she goes above and beyond to ensure everything is fixed and that the customer is happy. She is always kind and patient. Its so wonderful knowing I can count on her for anything. I have also worked with a lot of other employees there including Rosalyn - they are all incredible. This is the best company to use in Utah - its always a stress-free experience. I have been in business for over 20 years and I have never been happier than I have been with A-1. Take my word for it and switch to A-1.Sue B.

Not impressed with the service or the customer service. We requested service to be terminated, and were charged for an entire month of no service after our company had moved locations. No one seemed concerned that they had charged us for absolutely nothing, and then when I contacted them to terminate service AGAIN, they picked up the can and charged $85 dollars. Not a good way to keep loyal customers. Too much money for little value👎🏼

These guys were awesome! I had to order a dumpster twice within a couple of months. The first time I rented, they gave me a great deal on a larger can. Melanie in customer service was awesome and really took care of me. The second time I rented was even better. I basically called them last minute at the end of the day and they sent a can over the next morning. The truck started having some hydraulic issues, so they had to run back to their shop, but they came back and had my can unloaded within the hour. But even though it didnt affect my project in anyway, because of the issues, they wrote off the charges for my second use. These guys really know how to take care of their customers!

The overall experience with renting the dumpster was pretty good. The customer service varied drastically depending on who I spoke to. They were very accommodating when it came to the rental length. I gave them 2 stars because when I called to arrange the dumpster pick up I specifically asked that they give me a call when they knew the weight. The person I spoke with said yes youll get a call with the weight and final charge. I knew I had to pay $47 for each ton over 2T. The card they have on file is my debit card (it was the only card I had on me when I made the reservation) and I dont often have extra funds in this account. I didnt hear anything for a week so I assumed I was under the 2 Ton weight. Then this morning woke up to no money in my account as apparently I was way over the weight limit. I understand the policy and if I was told we cant call you before we charge you I would have made different payment arrangements. Now I have an overdraft charge from my bank. I chose A-1 because the reviews were so high even though they did cost a little more, in the future I will probably choose another company.

Awesome Company. Great customer service. We run an asphalt maintenance company and have had A-1s weekly service for over a year now, and have had no problems at all. Always on schedule, and never any problems, no billing issues, just a pleasant company to deal with. We got so sick of the previous company having drivers text pictures when they thought the can was too full, and other various issues, then after a decade using them we switched. Since switching to A-1, have had no problems. Weve even been able to get others in our complex to switch. Thanks to everyone at A-1 for the awesome job! Our go-to trash company! We have been with them for several years now, and not a problem at all. We love their service. From our regular office container to roll-offs, A-1 is the best in Utah!

Ive rented 5 dumpsters from them. Of the 5, two were either picked up or dropped off at 6am in a quiet residential neighborhood which resulted in many noise complaints from neighbors. I would have appreciated knowing this beforehand or at least if it were a residential neighborhood for them to obey typical construction hours. Otherwise the company and service were great. Their drivers were always nice and the office folks were great too.

Good price. Dont have to wait for cans.

This company delivered a dumpster to a neighbor of my mothers and were also picking one up. The dumpster was blocked her driveway, not the person who rented it. My elderly mother asked the driver prior to completely dropping it to please move it and he ignored her request. I called the company, the girl answering the phone seemed helpful at first, she called the driver and said he was moving it now, I informed her I could see and he was doing nothing. She proceeded to yell at me and tell me that the dumpster was only blocking 1/2 the driveway and so we could get out. I informed her that was not true and it was not legal to block the driveway. As well, landscaping made that impossible, she said I dont know who you think you are, do whatever you have to do then hung up. After extended time the driver pulled out of the neighbors driveway and put used dumpster in the middle of the road now blocking 3 residents driveways (morning commute time) and the full street. He dumped it, then backed into a fire hydrant 2 times, drove on another neighbors lawn, and hit the side of the renters house with the dumpster. He never got out to check damage or inform residents. Witnessing what I did today I would use caution in hiring this company cuz your neighbors may sue you for damages. I have pictures if I could share that prove this.

Had troubles with a different local provider and decided to shop around. I got Melanie on the phone and she knocked it out of the park. I have been using A-1 Disposal since 2004 and have been happy with their service. They have the best drivers I have ever seen. Every week, the driver will not only dump my garbage, but he will get out of his truck and clean around it if I ever fill it too high.Its been almost 13 years and my rate stays low. I can call customer service any time and get same day answers.

Melanie was a tremendous help in scheduling a an additional pickup the following day at my Center. She reached out to the driver running the schedule for the following day and was able to coordinate the extra pick up with him. I moved my business garbage disposal services over to A-1 Disposal about 6 months ago and have had nothing but GREAT / AWESOME service!!! they were actually way cheaper than our old service provider. I have TWO other locations I plan to switch over A-1 the SECOND I get out of contract with ACE.

Very good experience. I didnt plan my job very well and realized I needed a dumpster right away. I must have called 10 companies and A-1 was the only one that gave me an option for that. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and I am willing to pay for results. Driver accidentally plugged the wrong address into his GPS or they would have been right on time also. Im sure that was a lot of juggling to get my dumpster there but they delivered in every way I could have hoped for. Melanie did a great job listening to what I needed and making it happen. Also gave me a dumpster 50 percent bigger than I ordered at the same rate which turned out to be a godsend because my trash took up a lot more space than I thought it would.

Two weeks notice I requested a 40 yd roll off. They deliver a 30 yd instead without notifying me. Then they show up the next day unannounced to pick up the 30-yard and drop off a 40-yard At 7:30 in the morning.Now for the accounting department issues. I received confirmations of payments from somebody elses credit card on my account send via email. So I am concerned somebody else is seeing my credit card information. Also they tried to bill me for both of the dumpsters.Initially everything sounded great and I appreciated everybodys efforts but the end result was very much less than I had expected from a company like this.And after all of these mistakes and errors, they still think its proper to charge me for the dumpster being overweight

Our neighbors had a dumpster delivered in a really idiotic spot. A-1 Disposal came to retrieve it and without our permission they drove all over our property and left it a complete mess. Trying to understand why this happened and how it could be avoided and/or fixed has been a total debacle and the office staff doesnt seem to care at all, even offering a snarky, rude comment along the way. While their field staff has been apologetic and somewhat helpful, overall they dont seem to care too much.

Ive hired this company in June of 2015. they have damaged my carport overhang and its been a year since I filed the damage claim with them and no one will call me or answer my questions as to when they are going to fix it. They made me switch to weekly dumps in April of 2016. They didnt empty the bin this week and when i called they told me i was on a 2 week cycle but my bill is still up. they told me that the price i am paying is for biweekly dump and that is what i have always been on. i pulled my account records and found i was right they did increase my bill when we changed to weekly dumps. I called them back and they say they will get it dumped today or tomorrow but if they increase my bill again I will post that so you all know how they work. Also I am still waiting to have a manager call me back so I can find out when the carport overhang will be fixed that the driver hit, i wish i could add pictures. If they ever fix it will post that also.

Couldnt put the dumpster in the driveway like they said they could. Had to leave it all the way at the end blocking the driveway. . We were done with it 1 hour later, called and was told they couldnt come get it for 5 days. Decent price,but not worth the hassle.
