I am a property manager and have worked with Advanced Restoration for years, they have helped me with with multiple issues including flood cleanup, mold and asbestos testing and remediation. Roof and siding repairs and replacements, and more. I have always had a great experience. Advanced Restoration is one of my favorite vendors and would recommend them to both homeowners and property managers.
I struggled to give Deon 3 stars but settled on 2 instead of 1. The reason is it was a hard job. We had leak in our fridge that went all through our sub floors into our basement. Of his subs I liked 1 of the 4 that came out. The reason I settled on 2 stars though was because of mismanaged expectations. While it was a hard job Deon always had excuses and never took responsibility. Even when I had to have hard conversations with him he would loose his cool and get upset.I was ultimately satisfied with the end product but thats also because if his subs did a poor job I made them redo it which led to conflict. Just do what you said you would and you wouldnt have problems. My thought is his subs were working for super cheap and he was making the margins.
I started a fire in my oven and though it was contained, the smoke left quite the stench in my home. I called Advanced Restoration and Deon came out to my house with fans and an ozone machine. He was prompt, professional, and friendly and answered all of my questions. He dropped off and picked up the equipment when promised. Within a couple of days the ozone smell dissipated and the smoke smell is completely gone. Deon even called to follow up, to be certain I was completely satisfied and no smoke lingered. I would recommend Deon and Advanced Restoration without hesitation. The next time something goes wrong at my house, Advanced Restoration is on speed dial!
My elderly, disabled sister recently had damage to her roof from a severe wind storm. She called her Farmers insurance agent to see if it was covered. He sent Advanced Restoration to access the damage. When Deon showed up, he told her that the wind damage could be repaired for $300 which was below her deductible, but that he wasnt interested in doing it because her roof was in such poor condition that she needed the entire thing replaced. He was more than happy to do that for a mere $10,000. She called me in a panic to see what she should do. She had her roof completely re-shingled just 10 years ago, so I was surprised she was being told that she needed a new roof. I asked a friend of mine who is in the business to take a look at it. He repaired the wind damage for $250 and assured me that her roof has at least 8-10 years before it will need to be re-done. Even if the roof did need to be replaced, $10,000 is extremely high given the size of the roof, but to try to sell a new roof to someone who doesnt need it can only be described as stealing. The fact that he did it to an elderly, disabled woman is despicable.
During the time our property was under contract, to be sold, it was broken into and some of the copper plumbing cut out and stolen. My insurer recommended I call Advanced Restoration. They had a man out the next day, and the job was finished that same day, including a new water heater. The work was not just quick but very professional. As it turned out my insurance did not cover the repair, but that was no problem, as the cost was only a little over what my deductible would have been.Thank you again Advanced RestorationP.S. The house sole for top dollar.
