Ive been contracting for this company for 6 months. By far the best experience Ive had contracting. Anna, my point of contact, has been so nice and pleasant to deal with.
Apex is a great company if you are looking for temp to hire work Dalton my recruiter was awesome to work with. She kept me informed about my application process the entire time. Miguel and Jeff in the Salt Lake office were good to work with as well.
It seems to be a common theme that this is not a staffing agency that has any concern for their employees or their well being. I worked one week for them recently during which time, while at work I started having blood drain out of my ears. I finished the day which was Friday. The next week I was unable to return to work due to what I originally thought was an ear infection. I kept in contact with them ensuring they were aware of my situation. What I originally thought was an ear infection turned out to be a much more serious infection landing me in the hospital where I am currently writing this review. At which time once I became responsive again I contacted and let them know I would not be able to return to the assignment. I needed some verification that I had ended my assignment in order to get assistance with a surgery that will prove life threatening to me, a widowed grandmother raising two grandchildren. This is where the so called HR department showed the true colors of this organization. Not only did they make it perfectly clear that my health issues were not their problem and they could care less. They actually took it a step further and maliciously provided inaccurate information about the circumstances of my leaving in an effort to to cause a problem with the assistance I was applying for. This did not work because myOncologists actually cares about me. There was no reason for the malicious intent what so ever. I was absolutely shocked. If you want an agency who cares about you this is not the place. Try Prince and Pearalson or Spherion they are much better staffing agencies who actually care.
My advice: pick somewhere else! I got let go on 12/20 and still have no paycheck. In the state of Utah if you are termed, you are supposed to receive your last check within 24 hours. Nothing. Oh and they lie to get you in the door for thier partner Optum. They say you’ll work whatever hours work for you. Wrong. They make you work overtime without even asking if you can. If you like having an understanding employer and a life outside work and being paid on time, choose somewhere else.
They are extremely unprofessional I adv that my grandpa had passed and I wouldn’t be back to work until the end of the week and they told me to turn my badge in ( which is understandable for messing a week of work) it was the way he said it and then he just disconnected the line it was extremely rude. Also when i was hired in the explained the job way different then it actually was it was not a good experience for me.
DO NOT WORK HERE. The office in SLC hired on 40 people in my training and fired ALL of them within a month with little or no explanation at all. They fired 25 people in one week no joke. They just fired a few people at a time each week. I was one of the last ones to be fired from my training class. And then when people got fired management would talk about it with the employees afterward. Unprofessional much? After I got fired management told people I was fired because of my attendance.?? Which was TOTAL BS. Come to find out when I was applying for unemployment they contacted apex to find out why I was fired and it was actually because of my performance...ok?? Why they were lying to my coworkers or even talking about those kinds of things with employees is beyond me. They’re shady. Not to mention BOTH paychecks I received in my one month of working there were 2 weeks late each time!!! They screwed a lot of people over. SHADY SHADY SHADY! Save your time, don’t let them screw you over too.
Apex doesn’t have your back at all when applying to jobs. They only want to keep a good standing with their employers but not the employees.
Awesome they got me a sweet remote position, highly recommend
Disorganization and confusion appear to be the norm.
