A complete waste of money if you are looking for Microsoft certification. The salesman you have to go through to sign up are hard to deal with, mine typically would call me of upwards 4 times per day before I finally said yes. They will say literally anything to get you to sign up. My salesman told me that if I take courses through them, they completely prepare you for the Microsoft certification tests that I was looking for. They even went as far as to sign me up for each respective test for a few minutes after each class was completed. EVERY SINGLE TEACHER I had during my time here told me this was a flat out lie and Id need to purchase additional material to be able to pass these tests. I took the first test, disregarding what the teacher was saying about needing additional materials, that was a huge mistake. I failed that test even though I studied for hours and hours with the material they provided. After the first failure I went online and found the additional material the instructors told us we had to purchase. The material went over everything we did in class and then some. It was also a lot easier to understand and after going over that material I was able to pass the exam without any problems. The classes were fine for general learning/training and I did learn a lot but it was a huge waste of time and money towards trying to go for my Microsoft certifications as I had to turn around and purchase study materials to be able to pass the tests and gain my certification. I personally will not use their class services again.
New Horizons was a great experience for myself! Richard Mitchell is an fantastic instructor. He not only taught me the material but was able to really prepare me for the certification exams. I attended his CompTIA A+, 5 day, course and, I was able to pass the 2 exams right after! I definitely plan on going back for future certification classes!
Buildings nice, they provided food all week. The chairs are so uncomfortable, the internet is slow, projectors are okay. The on site tech guy bends over backwards to take care of the tech issues. but the chairs are so bad.
Im rating this a 0. Basically, there is nothing one can rate good about this place other than the instructor, but Im not rating the instructor here, Im rating this organization at this location. If you want to take an exam there, good luck. Ive had the lack of pleasure attending classes twice and trying to take an exam twice. Heres a simplified list of bad things about this place:Lack of communication by personnel; Parking issues where you have to walk from a different businesss parking lot because theres no parking available due to over booking classes; Noise issues on 2 occasions of trying to take the exam for 20 minutes the 2nd time and 50 minutes the 1st time; Frequent network issues; Chairs are very uncomfortable; Not easy to find out where to go due to lack of instructions; Not all material is covered for full preparation of the exam; Personnel stating they will do something and dont even do it after asking 4 times; Noise issues during class; Network issues during taking one of the exams; hard to get into & out of the place when driving; Slamming the door when leaving the classroom after troubleshooting Network issues. There are other things to list but that sums up most of the big ones. I cant see a single reason to go through them to get a certification. My entire experience was very bad. One out of the 2 instructors seemed very knowledgeable and helpful. I would probably rate him good, but as far as anything else with this place, I rate 0 because I cant think of a single good thing I can say at all about this place. There you have it. Good luck if you decide to risk putting yourself through all of that potential trouble! BTW, half of the class failed the exam in my 2nd class. Stellar numbers Id say with pun intended.
Searching for training while out of state was difficult-but Brady was professional, supportive, and completely on top of curriculum offerings. I ended up going elsewhere, but not because of any lack of NH. Strongly recommend
I have tried to reach out to the main office multiple times, I cant ever get anyone on the phone about signing up for classes, this place is already turning up red flags before even starting Excel lessons.
I paid 4000.00 for ICDN1 and ICDN2 to obtain training to obatin my CCNA. This was a boot camp that was to cover both courses. They had a special group come in from the LDS church and spent most of the time going over their particular issues and only had time to cover ICDN1. They gave me a certificate confirming I finished and was offered ICDN1 and then tried to bait and switch me to take the CCENT. They still owe me ICDN2 and to prepare for the CCNA. They promise a lot then the bait and switch. Whats up with that. This is true story.
Photoshop class was fun! The others, Word, Excell, Access? Dull as a kitchen timer, until the oatmeal is done.
Need Microsoft Excel Training? This is the place that you will learn something new in every class!
Ownership is horrible.
