Vanessa is friendly, warm, and so talented. Her shop is set up with a retro aesthetic and her fun personality gives it the perfect atmosphere. My partner was pampered with warm towels, great products, a neck massage, and scalp massage while he got his hair washed. The cut looks amazing and he is definitely a customer for life now.

Was looking for a barber who was open on Saturdays. Thankful I found this place. Very cool vibe and Maria have me a fantastic cut and line up. The best I’ve had in salt lake. Very detailed and meticulous. 5 stars.

Amazing experience! Traveled from Arizona and luckily waited to have Vanessa get my beard right! Treats you like a king and you feel like you couldnt look any better when you leave. Outstanding atmosphere at the building and the shop. It is the kind of place you would hang out before and after for a drink.I will be coming back consistently for haircuts and beard shaping. I was in SLC for a work conference and in bad need of a hair cut. I searched barbers who allow online bookings and Retro-Barbers popped up. I decided to give it a shot because it was entirely female barbers. It did not disappoint. It is located in this cool small business incubator like 4-5 blocks from downtown. I was handled by Vanessa who was professional, courteous, and gave me a great fade. My cut came with a rinse and a shoulder massage. Definitely full package service. I highly recommend booking with Vanessa if you need a cut and want to book ahead. Also, if you are booking and you are NOT in mountain time, make sure to confirm your appointment as the online booking platform does something screwy with reservations made from other time zones.

Super RAD place. Vanessa is so genuine, as well as a top tier barbor/hair stylist. When you arrive, the location alone will transport you years into the past. Then, before you know it youre greated by a pin up girl and taken back to begin the most relaxing enjoyable experiences you could have in a barber shop. Only down side is there isnt one back home in AZ. Anytime Im in Salt Lake Ill be getting my hair cut no matter the length because it was so enjoyable. Went from looking like John Lennon to Thomas Shelby and couldnt be happier!

Vanessa has been cutting my hair for years, and I couldnt be happier that she has started her own shop. All of the services are very reasonably priced for the personal experience you get here, and you will not find a kinder person or a more skillful and thorough barber than her in Utah.

This place is fantastic. It appears on the surface to be geared overall more toward adults, maybe, but I took my boys, and the way they were treated, the haircuts they got, and their satisfaction afterward were outstanding. More fun than your average haircut experience, and the boys were asking if we could come back next time before we even left the parking lot!

Vanessa has created an experience unlike any other in the Salt Lake City area. Besides the 40s era retro theme, she treats you like you are a star (even though she is the star), shes stunning, and shes incredibly talented. I recommend stopping by and letting her work her magic.
