The food was amazing!! The service was very slow to begin with though. We had to ask to be waited on, but most places seem to be like that right now. The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere has a nice vintage ambiance. We were looking for a vegetarian meal and found it here. The marinara pasta and minestrone soup were delicious!!! Highly recommend and will be back for seconds.

I went to the Spaghetti Factory with some family last week. The service was so-so and the restaurant was dark. The service was slow and we asked for silverware three times before our friend just went to the next table and took a place setting that wasnt being used. We started off with bread and salad. The bread seemed stale to me but other people at our table liked it. The salad also seemed mediocre. The friend that took us loves their pesto dressing. I ordered their crab ravioli and really enjoyed it. It was a little bugged because it cost as much as the other meals but wasnt big enough for leftovers while the other meals are. I almost ordered the chicken marsala but Im glad I didnt. My mom ordered it and I tasted it and didnt care for it. Given the opportunity, I wouldnt choose to eat there.

Had an amazing meal at The Old Spaghetti Factory. The environment is laid back and perfect for couples dining or large parties. The decor and style is early century and has an old trolley in the middle of the restaurant. Lighting is quite dim and furniture is dark...but plenty visible.The food is very good, and the menu has the right amount of options to satisfy many cravings and appetites. Even the kids meal options are plentiful. A great selection of appetizers, salads, dinners and entrees that end with just a couple dessert options - tiramasu, cheesecake and chocolate mousse. All their dishes are rich and full of flavor. Pricing on the menu is about 1.5 dollar signs out of 4; not terribly pricey and you get your money worth in terms of portion size.Service is outstanding with frequent visits from waiter and management checking on food, service and drinks. They have a great full service bar with decent options for alcohol beverages.

We got a place in the trolley to eat and there was only one other couple in there so it was an intimate experience. The meal was, as usual amazing. I hadnt eaten here since before the pandemic so I wasnt sure what to expect. There was a wait time due to the decreased capacity but it was well worth it. The hungry man portion my boyfriend got of the three meat treat was only slightly larger than the normal size so think twice before shelling out more money for that. The spinach and cheese ravioli I got was just amazing and creamy. Their salads are stingy on the creamy dressings so ask for an extra side if you like dressing. The spumoni ice cream at the end of the meal was the perfect way to finish and I couldnt have asked for more. Whether youre discovering this place for the first time or rediscovering it, its worth a try.

The food is yummy. The portions are generous. The atmosphere takes you to the past even though they are modern with the food. It is cool and refreshing on a hot day.

This place is a classic. All of the food you get for the price is outstanding! I love the salad with the pesto dressing and the brown butter mizithra. And of course the spumoni is a big plus! I will say that the bread is a disappointment in my book, but everything else is great!

Worst service at a restaurant in memory.We waited 3 hours before receiving our checks and they did not bring us the ice cream that we paid for nor the appetizer we ordered. It took them almost 2 hours to deliver the main dish and they didnt bring out my wifes salad until then, and only after we asked. We asked repeatedly for the check--probably a half dozen times--for 30-45 minutes. We had to cancel the appetizer because, as mentioned, after 3 hours in and after asking repeatedly for it, they never brought it out (its an appetizer, its supposed to arrive before anything else).The food itself was great, but the experience from the terrible service ruined it. We were trapped because we couldnt even pay so we could leave. I dont ever want to go here again.

Seeing all five star reviews it feels like we went to a totally different place. We started with the soup: it was bland, to taste, but boiled vegetables. The bread was ok (you can probably get better one from a grocery store). I had the Meat Lover’s Treat. It tasted like store bought cheap quality spaghetti and sausage. The Italian soda was so sweet that I wasnt even able to drink it. It was slightly better after all the ice in it melted.Our service was good. However, we were sit by the stairs and the side of the stairs was dusty and nasty.

Used to be a great place to go......not so much anymore. Took our granddaughter for a special lunch - unfortunately, it wasnt as I had hoped.. Service was poor. The spaghetti was not that great. The lasagne was not tasty. The bread was so hard it couldnt be cut. We went around 1:30pm on a weekday. There were very few people in the restaurant but we had to wait 20 mins to be seated.....maybe they didnt have enough staff. Dont need to go back.

I ordered 3 spaghetti & meatballs meals to go, and when I got home to eat, all I got was DRY WET NOODLES! NO SAUCE OR MEATBALLS! I spent $80 on noodles that I could have made myself for 80cents… I was disappointed and when I called to tell them what had happened. They were not able to refund me. They told me that they would send me free meals in place of the refund, but it has been a month and I haven’t received anything!! I will never eat at spaghetti factory again and would not recommend it to any of my friends.

With delicious meals, the place is perfect. The surroundings are pleasant with a retro furniture and dim light. It is a perfect place to host a family gathering. Everyone in your party would like the choices. I had some of their best sellers, and as usual, they taste good!

This restaurant is located in the historic Trolley Square, which has several unique shops. The restaurant has always been clean, the staff was courteous and both the wait to get in and to be served was not terribly bad. The Italian cream sodas are a yummy drink option and you get to keep the glass. I like their meat sauce and several members of my family like their clam sauce. Not too bad prices for a 3 course meal. Great location! Would highly recommend!

The Old Spaghetti factory of Salt Lake City, at Trolley Square, is one of the oldest of that franchise. It serves the same menu but it served every time that Ive been there, and that can be comforting. Its nice to know that I can still get brown butter and mizithra on spaghetti and enjoy the flavors that they have perfected over the years. I really do enjoy the creamy Italian soda. I also enjoy the pot pouri plate with three classics on it. When I want something pretty close to Italian, this is a pretty good place to go.

My family has been going to the Trolley Square Old Spaghetti Factory since I was just a kid. The food is tasty, the environment and atmosphere is unique to this location. We always look forward to dining here, its a special treat. And theres free icecream after the meal!

Amazing cheese bread, pastas cooked perfectly, spumoni. The food could not have been better. All sauces are distinct and very satisfying. Italian done right. Mizithra (brown butter sauce) with the fried mushrooms and bacon is one of my favorite flavors ever.

I ate at at this location last night with family while they were in town. The location is really cool and the food was delicious.Our server spilled spaghetti on my Father. Not a big deal, mistakes happen. She was giggling as she apologized. I also understand that’s how some people react to stress. We waited about 5 minutes and we got a new plate of spaghetti.We finished our food and received our bill in full, including the spaghetti she spilled all over my dad. No further apologies. The shorts now have a marinara stain after washing.

We had a 45 min. wait with small children. When we were shown to the our table there were at least four other empty tables we could have been seated at! In fact, the new hostess seated us at the wrong table and had us move. They were out of the appetizer. Our waiter was good. The food was average.

It was OK. I liked the mizithra and brown butter, and the spumoni ice cream. Everything else was not much to my liking. My husband thought it was good. The atmosphere was interesting, lots of great furniture and light fixtures.

This place is great with delicious meals. The environment is relaxing with vintage decor and dim lighting. This is a great location for a family celebration. The choices will please everyone in your group. 3 course meals: soup, salad, main dish, and spumoni for dessert. Each of our meals were amazing. A great summer time treat.

Cool venue. Food was pretty good. Ravioli, Italian sausage, and hot bread. Had a great time watching my girlfriend barf up everything that she ate into a couple of water glasses and having the waiter trying to serve us dessert afterward! 🤣🤣🤣

We have been coming here for a few years now and have never left disappointed. Its a really cool restaurant with an awesome environment. They have a wide selection of amazing food and always have awesome customer service! Their spaghetti is delicious and you top it off with a scoop of delicious ice cream.

Had a work lunch with 10 others. Server was quick and professional. Remembered every order and drink. Didnt have to ask twice for anything. Food came out hot and cooked perfectly. Pasta wasnt clumpy and sauce had plenty of flavor. Had the three meat lunch plate. Meats were good. Could have had a bit more spice to it, but overall good tasting. Still enjoy that you get dessert with the meal. Definitely worth the trip if you like pasta dishes.

Mediocre at best. Boiled chicken that wasnt even seasoned with canned mushrooms. Not a $15 meal by any means. The spumoni was definitely the star of the show this visit

One of our favorite places, they always cook the noodles right, and the sauces are amazing! (And if you cant choose, they have options for that, too!) They have Italian sodas, soups and salads, artisan bread with garlic butter, and spumoni ice cream that are all great, too.

Online it states bread comes with the order which means I paid for it, but didnt get it. I am upset. I love their sourdough bread. I know I will not be compensated for their mistake.

Overrated! I attended a big group lunch here and our server was very slow, the cocktail I ordered was not tasty, and the spaghetti was not exceptional in any way. I also don’t care for the dark decor and prefer dining with natural light! Pick a more charming and tastier spot for your group function.

OSF has long been our familys favorite place to celebrate whatever we want to celebrate. Weve gone there before sending off our missionaries and after we picked them up at the airport, we had a wedding luncheon there, celebrated many birthdays and many visits just for the food. We always love the food! Recent visits, however, I have struggled because of the condition of the womens rest room. I had a friend say that you can judge the cleanliness of a place by the condition of the restrooms. This may not be always true,, but I feel OSF can do better. The ladies room is in disrepair and dirty but the worst part is the odor! It smells terrible! We may have to find a new favorite party place if we cant stand to use the facilities. Just saying.

The old spaghetti factory is a great place for simple, tasty pasta. It may not be ultra-authentic Italian, but it is always good! Service is consistenly great as well.

The theme and atmosphere were excellent. The food was great but not extraordinary. No complaints to be had here.The gelato after the meal was a nice touch that was light enough to not make you feel bad about having it but also enough to adequately cleanse the pallet.I think the only thing that would’ve made it better for me personally would’ve been a bit more of an extensive menu. It was all very standard Italian fare. Again, nothing wrong with it at all and the quality was great. Worth a visit with friends and family if you’re looking for something different than Olive Garden. Definitely worth the visit.

A great place for a daddy daughter date. My six year old loves to sit in the trolley at The Old Spaghetti Factory in Trolley Square. Their food is decent, neither the worst or best Italian food Ive had. Atmosphere is fun and friendly. I have had more than one service issues at this location, but the managers always make up for the problems. Probably the best part is the inclusion of salad, bread, and ice cream with every entree. My little one got spaghetti marinara. I got spinach ravioli. We had a great time and finished off with spumoni.

Anyone coming for the Local Influence promotion don’t bother, they didn’t accept it. And we were charged full price for the meal, we were disappointed that they are the only location that has a promotion on this site and refuses to honor it, very disappointed.

I love The Old Spaghetti Factory. I went to the one in Portland Oregon for 20 years and never had an issue. Its the same way with their Trolley Square location. Their staff is kind, courteous and always professional. Oh my gosh! I almost forgot, their food is awesomely tasty too!

Smelled like a gym locker. Wait times were 20 -30 minutes over the estimated time when we arrived and asked how long the wait was. Staff hung around the front desk and was not looking to be working hard to try to seat the 30 people that were waiting for a table. Then the food was not good. The sauce was flavorless the noodles over cooked. The bread was okay. And then our bill came and it was ridiculous in comparison to the quality of the food and service we got. Dont recommend

We went on a busy, Saturday evening so I wasnt expecting it to be fast, but we sat at our table for 40 minutes before getting our drinks and then 10 minutes after that we got the free bread. Our server was slammed with tables, but the most upsetting/confusing part to me was there were CONSTANTLY 5-6 people standing in the reception area. We enjoy the food, but wont be going back on a weekend.

Very disappointed, ordered chicken masala everything was good except the chicken was very dry and almost flavorless luckily it had the sauce on it. Service was great, Ashley took very good care of us. the cheese bread was excellent

Our server was the best! He was so attentive and patient with us when we were deciding and helping us choose menu items. The food was delicious! We got the Italian Cream Sodas to drink and all of the flavors were so good! And you get a complimentary cup to take home at the end of your meal! Definitely worth it!

Scheduling and working out the details for a large group was more difficult than it really shouldve been. After all they did a great job. The server was wonderful and got and EXTRA $20 TIP on top of the 20% for our group. Some enjoyed the food more than others, but over-all it was a positive experience and would recommend for a nice dinner out for a couple or even a larger group. Really cool memorabilia glass that you can save from your night.

Maybe Im just not a spaghetti fan but I found nothing but average food and below average service. Drinks went unfilled for long periods of time and the waiter had to be asked for those refills. The table didnt get cleared as new food came out so the food was placed on top of dirty dishes.Its good for kids, groups and had a nice looking place. I wouldnt bring a date here as I would be embarrassed.

We had a great experience! I tried the clam sauce on my pasta and it was 10/10. What really made our night was our server Grace. She was patient with our indecisiveness and had great recommendations for us. She was very attentive and kind. Overall we had a great time!

Okay, we have all endured many changes this past year!Also, eating out has changed to carry out/pick up and take food home.Here is something my wife and I discovered we like to do with lovely Old Spaghetti Factories delicious sauces.We get 3 pints of sauce to go.One meat sauce, one clam sauce and one mushroom marinara (I just discovered this one and love it!)We bring the sauces home, then on your own eating schedule, boil water and pasta and presto you have delicious Old Spaghetti Factory from the comfort of your own home! 😊Enjoy!Roger

Food portions were small the only difference between a kids ravioli meal and the adult was the adult got 3 ravioli where as the kid got 2. The homemade lasagna was tasteless johnny carinos or olive garden serve better lasagna. The chicken in my wifes chicken parmesan was cold and not cooked all the way. Was very disappointed in the service and food. Got sat and waited for 15 plus minutes for the waiter to acknowledge us and come to our table then when he did show up and we told him we were ready to order he said he had to come back as he had to go dish up Ive cream for another table so he then came back 15 minutes later took our drink order then once again said he would be back with drinks then took our food order then wasnt seen after and left our drinks empty then comes by and was oh you got your food and walked off had to ask a hostess to get our refills

We went there last night, me and my daughter shared the spaghetti rich meat sauce, garlic cheese bread and cotton candy limeade. Came fast with house salad and free dessert for both of us. Great and attentive service, great taste and good recommendation. Overall it was great to be there. Well be back for more. Thank you for having us over.

We have been going (and lately ordering from) this location for over 10 years, its sort of nostalgic for our family. This time however our service was terrible. A part of our order was missing, leaving a member of our family without a meal. I was a little shocked that the manager told me the driver must have lost 1/3 of my order on the way to my house. The only option he gave me was to get a refund, leaving one person still without a meal. I would recommend getting spaghetti from a different establishment.

This place can makes your dollars worth it :D It has a three course meal including ice cream as the default dessert. I had the Meatball sauce with angel hair. Loved it! You also get a complementary sourdough bread... Thankfully the sour taste is not overwhelmingly distinctive. The garlic cheese bread is so good with added pepperoni bites. The soup I had to was very flavourful. Im not sure of the name but it tasted like massaman curry with a touch of lemon.

Our server was wonderful!! But the website said it opened at 1pm so that is the time we arrived .. No it opened at 2pm. The meals were dood. Had to ask for more dressing, it was a bit watered down. The bread was delicious and hot! Other than that it was a good experience!

Completely disappointed in this OSF. Have been to many over the years but have never been treated so poorly. Ordered through Uber Eats and had to cancel one order because I ended up with duplicate orders. I called the restaurant directly to make sure they did not start making the extra order. When Uber eats charged me for both orders anyway, this OSF had no problems taking the money for both the orders even though they didnt make both of them. When I call to ask for assistance, they just me tell it isnt their issue. Of course not... they made almost $40 extra dollars for no work and no loss of food.

Have been a frequent visitor never had bad service until 5/11. Took the waiter 10 minutes to ask us what we wanted to drink another 10 to bring our drinks. He never checked on us after bringing our meals. When we paid he kept our credit card for over 20 minutes. The manager found it and finally returned it. Worst experience ever and Ive been going there for over 30 years

Two separate occasions, we tried to get some service for both a funeral catering and take out order. Each item was difficult to one. Order and two. Work with a human being to get it delivered. Unfortunately funerals only come so often, and feeding 50 to 75 people was an important duty for us, however the manager refused to come out and speak to us because they were on a phone call with somebody else and I waited for 32 minutes and it is an excusable. Unfortunately they lost my business and I will not go there again.The other occasion was at the sugar house location where the host was rude, impatient, and with an asking mom, ridiculous as all she wanted was to eat at her favorite restaurant and the experience was utterly shameful. I tried to all for the manager and he just walked away. I wish I knew names, however, the experience has turned me away from the Utah stores.My mom passed away 3 days ago, and get wish was too cater our dinner, and to make a customer wait and ignore the hosts notes was disgraceful. Your customer service is on par with WalMart, except I never expect anything but bad customer service from Walmart.

I am not thrilled with the to go order section personally today. Dine in is great, stick to that in my opinon. My issues started with 2 employees taking our orders that did not know the menu and questioned us multiple times when we were ordering our items, Potpourri.. yes its a menu item... So we ordered garlic shrimp fettucine which is a different sauce with that menu item but they gave us alfredo (thich creamy sauce, they are different yes) wish we would have known that though before we drove home. we live 45 minutes away and were already in a rush so we did not realize until we got home. Now I am not complaining about the food itself with the other main courses as it tasted fine.. the alfredo was a bit bland. But overall the food was fine. I just wanted a different menu item.I also have to add that the salad sides are laughable. Compared to Olive garden we got a tiny salad in a little to go box and 4 croutons... 4.. photo shows what we received compared to olive garden (yes I save croutons, dont judge me). I get times are hard but really? The soup sides are good though, no issues there.Not your finest moments Old Spaghetti Factory. /shrug. A new customer probably would just go to Olive Garden after an experience like that but we are attached, so just would like you to take it seriously and try to teach the employees the menu and make sure they get the right orders. Food was amazing, service was so slow. I was not impressed by the cleanliness of the waiter. His hands looked like he worked on a diesel truck and never cleaned up. While handling our drinks and food I could see he probably didn’t wash his hands properly because his Nails looked like he was digging in dirt.

Going to the old spaghetti factory is a tradition with my family. Always tasty, and always gracious amounts of food.

Pretty standard but a few small but sad changes.Ended up here when parking for the company Christmas party, several block away, was unavailable.It had been years since eating here. A HUGE fan of Brown Butter and Mizithra Cheese dish I mistakenly detoured and decided to try a similar dish which was also listed as a “Founder’s Favorite” which was a twist on the dish and listed as Garlic Mizithra to include mushroom and bacon with sautéed garlic.Ordered without mushroom...however the dish was disappointing. I couldn’t taste the garlic and the bacon threw off the entire dish.The other dish we ordered was the the Gourmet Jumbo Crab Ravioli. I very healthy portion and the crab could be tasted. Well executed and would order again.The bread no longer was sourdough, but what just a plain French loaf. That was a little depressing as we were looking forward to the warm and chewy crusted sourdough.Hint: don’t hesitate to ask for a side of the house dressing and use it as a dipping sauce for the bread.

One of my favorite more affordable restaurants in downtown Salt Lake City. Delicious spaghetti entres with your choice of homemade sauce or sampler of sauces that include salad or soup with warm bread with spamoni Icecream for desert at a very reasonable price. The other dishes are okay but the atmosphere is awesome, its part of the historic Trolley Square mall, inside it decorated like old world Italian style with antique chandeliers and furniture and even has an old Trolley car you can dine in. Its a chain restaurant but definitely doesnt feel like it. Parking is always easy and free if you park in the mall lot across the street from the mall on 600 S and use the walkway to cross the street into the mall. Have been going since I was a kid and have always had friendly and attentive service. They also serve alcohol and delicious Italian sodas. I recommend the Mizithria Cheese and browned butter, clam sauce and Meat Sauce for the spaghetti. Thank to our server Kevin from our visit tonight!

My wife took me here for my birthday and it was sooo good. We got the cream sodas which they let you keep a the special cup they come in. The chicken parm was delicious the tomato sauce they use is literally out of this world. Now the spamoni ice cream is something else. Its like neopalitan but chocolate, cherry, & pistachio. Unless youre allergic make sure you get some!

I got my spaghetti to go. Service is great and the food is so good. Spaghetti with browned butter and mizithra is literally my favorite food. The minestrone and bread it comes with are also fantastic .

I have been here several times. It is a great 4 course meal. Recommend the Lasagna, Managers special browned mizithra and clam sauce, Italian sausage. Prices have gone up.

Normally we try local resteraunts when travelling, but we had never been to one of these so we gave it a shot. The atmosphere and decor were amazing. Felt like 100 years ago. Wood floors and authentic antiques. Super clean bathroom. Super professional staff. Very good food at reasonable prices. This place is well managed and it shows. We would certainly return.

Ive been going here for years. The food is always amazing and its worth every second of the hour long drive to have it. Id eat here every day if I could!
