They showed up on time, took due care to protect our property, and had the old roof off amazingly fast. I was equally impressed with the time and attention given to installing the replacement decking, new underlayment, and shingles. Cleanup was top notch. When Jason (Foreman) & crew of 5 arrived he indicated that it would only take one day to tear off 1 layer of shingles down to plywood on my 2000 sq ft one story house and replace it. Work started @ 7:30 am and by 5:30 pm the roof and clean up was complete. The crew was amazing - if there is ever an Olympic event for roof replacement they would win the Gold!!! Have gotten many compliments. Will definitely recommend Spicer Bros to anyone needing a new roof.

Super quick and easy process from getting the estimate to getting the actual work scheduled and completed. I’m a truck driver on the road most of time and Spicer Bros. kept me updated on everything going on and what exactly they needed me to do. The crew came in and wasted no time getting to it, they covered all my plants out front to keep debri out and striped the roof down. In the first day they completely striped the roof and had a portion of it completed. They came in the 2nd day and knocked it out in half a day and completely cleaned my yard and driveway. My neighbors said they enjoyed just watching them work, singing, whistling, and dancing while getting the job done. After the work was completed, the president of the company called me to make sure all my needs and expectations were met, and to thank me for my business. Called because we have a leak. Spoke with a rude woman (Crystal?) who was snide and impatient. Told me that, just to have someone come out and give me an estimate would be $250 for 1st hour + $200 each hour after that. Got the distinct impression that they did not want my business. I was shocked by the rudeness.

The day started bright and early meeting Dustin. Very respectful and professional man. 5 minutes later his crew showed up and the work began and did not stop till it was done. These guys WORK!! All the while Dustin kept me updated on the progress and answered all my questions and concerns. At one point there was a question about the ridge vent because of the size of the existing hole in my roof. Dustin caught a potential issue, made some phone calls, and ran out and got different ridge vent at minimal cost to me. Now thats customer service. I found my experience with Spicer Bros. to be extremely pleasant. The office staff was very helpful and insightful. I received my estimate in a timely manner and was given a timeline. The day my roof was scheduled, they showed up at 7am as they had stated and were done by 5:30pm and you could not tell they had ever been there. The workers were extremely professional and the crew chief Jordan was very accommodating when I had questions or wanted to change something. I called at 9:10am Saturday, August 8, left message and no return call. Called again Monday, August 10, 2020 approximately 9:30 and girl who answered said Leslie would call back and set up an appointment for siding. A week later still waiting for Leslie to call. If they can’t even call and let me know the appointment can’t be set up due to busy I can accept, but no call back I can not! Not a good way to do business.

I can sum up my experience with one word - AMAZING! Spicer Bros. staff members were great to work with from being to end - Mike the Estimator, Kelly the Account Manager, and Warren the Supervisor at my house, jobsite, during the installation of the roofs (house and detached garage). Warren and his staff members arrived on-time and kept me updated on the progression of the project which I greatly appreciated.I was not home during the roofing project so Warren was very kind to call me to let me know the complete project. The entire job was completed in under eight hours. A few days after the project was complete Warren called to confirm I was still satisfied (which he promised he would do).My house looks AMAZING with the Patriot Red shingles. When I pulled up to my house I was like a little child getting a great present. I knew my new roof would look good, but it exceeded my expectation as it is amazing!!! Thanks to Spicer Bros. staff I smile with pride every time I look at my house.

BUYER BEWARE- DO NOT BELIEVE THE COMMERCIALSSiding Job-Poor job on the estimate. Did not include all work (trim, etc.) on the estimate.-Called us regularly until contract was signed, then could not get a phone call returned, making it seem that all they care about is money.-Postponed job week after week due to being understaffed.-Eventually subcontracted the job out to another company who we did not hire to do the job.-Project manager Dave was no where to be found and did not conduct a proper walk through for my complaints to be voiced (though we later found out that Dave lied to the boss by reporting that he had done a walk through with us. None of the work was ever signed off on as it was supposed to). We were told Dave was fired shortly after our project, which was too little, too late for us.-Did not include common sense items like trim in estimate. I paid $7000. Of course, I expect the trim done.-When these issues were voiced to Tony, he basically said, Sorry about your luck! If I am willing to pay 7k for a siding job, of course, I would be willing to pay another $500-1000 for the trim. Use some common sense! Tony said he would be getting back to us. Guess what, we never heard from him either!-Needless to say, they didnt stand by their work. The good reviews literally sound like a different company than the operation I dealt with. Dont walk away, RUN away from Spicer Bros. They have gotten too big and are not controlling the quality of their service. They need to spend less time making commercials and more time on the operation of their business.This is an honest review of our experience. It is not meant to be mean spirited, but a honest, cautionary account.Douglas Seth

Our repair was relatively minor. Originally team came out to repair our gutter/downspouts; however, upon checking closer discovered we had some rotted wood underneath due to the length of time the gutter had been in disrepair. They took pictures of every area involved, talked with Bill, etc., and advised we would get a detailed estimate as what it would take to complete the repairs/replacement. Received that by email in a timely manner and we were scheduled for the work quickly once we approved the estimate. The guys showed up early, went to work and did an excellent job. I have a rather unwieldy vine growing up the brick in an area they were working. Asked if they could give it a hair cut if I gave them a machete. He was more than happy to do that little extra for me while he was up on the ladder. Greatly appreciated.Again, overall we are very pleased with Spicer Brothers and would certainly call them in the future. Thank you.

The job was planned in advance. The crew showed up early. The job was done in a single day and much quicker than I imagined. The roof looks amazing. The leaks are fixed. When minor accidental damage was done to my driveway by the crew the damage was promised to be fixed. GREAT customer service, especially when it came to the accidental damage. I will recommend Spicer Brothers and will use them again because of how they handled that issue and because of the great work they did with the roof.

We had a new roof installed 5 years ago using the GAF lifetime warranty system. This afternoon we lost a few shingles from our ridge vent from high sustained winds, we could see the sky from the attic! We called Spicer Brothers and they sent a crew out straight away - Yes, like within 2 hours we had the shingles replaced and all is good! My wife and I are blown away and shocked by the high level of service from this company. They saved the day and our home from the rain expected tonight. Well done Spicer Brothers Construction! I cant write a review of their work but I can of their customer service. I have a missing ridge cap which means my roof is open to the sky and rain. I called Spicer Bros. Construction based on the advertisements Ive seen on TV. My first interaction should have been a good clue as to how things would go. I was told to call the original installer so I did, they were out of business. So, I sent a request via their on-line service request form relaying the fact that I have a hole in my roof. I got a call the following day to set-up an appointment to get an estimate 5 days later. The estimator came out and looked at the issue for a minute and told me I would get the estimate via e-mail. Now its the following day and still no e-mail.Maybe bigger jobs get their full attention. Maybe the other work I needed done could have been enough. Guess Ill never know for sure.

They did an amazing job. In just one day they replaced the roof on both the house and detached garage. When they left, everything had been cleaned up. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a roof replacement.

July 2008, we were looking to put a new roof on our as I want to fully retire in a few years. We had the idea to make sure our home was ready for our non-working years. Thats when we searched for a good reliable roofer. We received prices from several contractors. At that point Spicer Bros was contracted. We had a good repore with the Brothers. They were a little messy leaving debre and nails around the house and driveway. At time time we were very satisfied with their work. We later discovered a leak in our pourch roof. I also found they did not put a starter eow on the garage. They were notified and cheerfully returned to fix the leak and put the starter course on the garage. After number of call backs we thought it was fixed. Now jump ahead several years. We realized we had some soft spots on the porch roof. After taking part of the ceiling down we saw mold and water spots on osb board. We also noticed a rafter was spongy. A few years earlier we also noticed a rotting post. So we hired an independent contractor to repair the damage. Yesterday as they were removing the two layers of shingles the discovered a good deal of rot along the gable edge of the roof. There seemed to some problem with the installation of the drip edge and tar paper. As I believe it was installed wrong I phoned Spicer Bros office. Yes it was July 4. I knew they would be closed so, I left a message asking them to phone me Friday morning. I also had Bryan Spicers number, so I phoned the #. To my surprise he answered. I explained what I had found and he started he would be in the office early on Friday. I ask if he would send someone out on Friday to see if the problem. He stated no problem. So this morning I waited for a call. None came. About 10:30 ish I phoned. An office employee answered. I explained my call with B Spicer. He put me on ho hold and talk to, who I believe was B Sicer. When he returned to the phone he said they would check in to it. I ask them to phone me by the end of the day to let me know if they were going to check it out. Its now after 6:30 on and no call. The labor warranty was on the roof was 10 years. I was aware of that. I was hoping they would just lookat it to see way it leaked. I was told they would come to evaluate the roof for a fee of I believe was 230. Dollars. So said for a local business that we once praise, has grown so big that they no longer care about their previous customers. I have no idea how many customers I sent their way over the past ten years. Definitely all around great service. Their patience with my family and determination to explain everything that will be going on in order to do our roof is excellent. Im soooo happy my mom chose them instead of peninsula roofing. For years peninsula roofing has been bullshitting my mom and charging her out the ass because they preyed on her. The main lady she dealt with basically told her lies and was too lazy and money hungry to fix the underlying problem. Spicer brothers has definitely got them beat by a long shot and I hope that anyone who is currently dealing with peninsula roofing that they stop before they sign any contracts or agree to any of their amateur work because days, weeks, months or years from the day you sign youll regret you ever chose peninsula roofing because they take the cheapest route possible instead of trying to do the work right. They do this on purpose so you constantly call them to fix the problem and charge you for their mistakes that should have been done right in the first place. Spicer had a guy come over and to check my roof and this guy didnt even seemed like he cared then he said I would get an estimate 5 to 7days so how this ended up I had to call them back and they gave me an answer alright just to do my roof 8,500.00 and the lady on the phone told me thats for the bottom line. So I thought that was expensive so I was blessed and fou nd a Thomas Brown he has an awsome team and he came to my home looked at everything got on my roof and it wasnt more then a couple hours after he left my home called me back and gave me an estimate of $7,200.00 and that was to put lifetime Timberlake sh niggles on and replace all my gutters fixed all rot spits on the house power washed my home all included with that price of $7,200.00! And they fixed my carport as well!!! Spicer cant even touch that and you had to pay more for lifetime shingles so no I wouldnt recommend them as a customer stand point mine.Call Thomas Brown roofers or go on Angies list you cant go wrong and they done an Asome job and kept there word on everything they were going to do.
