The services given by Communities in Schools is astounding. Working within the public school system, CIS serves the most challenged children in Rowan County by providing tutoring support, gently used school uniforms, non-perishable food on weekends, encouragement, school supplies, and more. The data shows that children are increasing academically and bullying is reduced. I have nothing but high praise for Communities in Schools and feel it is a model for other schools.
