First time going and I really enjoyed it. Staff was very friendly and facility was clean and sanitized. Great job Planet Fitness of Salisbury NC. Cant wait to return!

I joined at this location 3 years ago. I signed up as a black card member mainly for the tanning beds, it is all I go for. I would like to start using the machines but I need a workout partner, Im not a fan of working out by myself so I just tan and hydro massage.I would love to work out on some machines and free weights but wont do it alone. I did take s class with the trainer this summer. I did back to back arms and legs classes. It was good just not what I was looking for.Staff is great, never had a problem. I would love it better if showers were laid out differently but thats my issue not theirs.Former manager Joel was great. Current manager Zach is great. Come join, I highly recommend.

Great experience signing up and first few visits! Zach and his team were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions as well as educated me on the facility as well as what would help with my personal goals. I would highly recommend making this gym your home that meets and exceeds all anyone could want it a gym. Also VERY clean and well maintained. They don’t just sign you up and let you loose, they try to dial in on your personal needs and show you what they have to offer to meet what will help you reach your personal goals with comfort and a staff full of support. I transitioned here from SNAP fitness I’m Durham NC where all they want to do is up sell you on personal training that planet fitness offers for free and also half the monthly price of SNAP and offers tanning and massage chairs as well as water massage which my previous gym didn’t have. All around great experience, and this coming from someone that rarely bothers to leave a review

This is the first gym Ive ever joined and been loving it so far. Been almost 2 months and still going every morning after work. Also its close and I get off at 5am so its perfect. Thank you Planet Fitness.

Very kind and helpful staff. I mainly interact with the ladies at the front desk but the guys are also super kind. Gym is big and clean. And the equipment is in good shape.

Been going here for 5+ years, routinely and loving working out..but seriously thinking of canceling membership.. masks while running!? You should not be forced to suffocate while strenuously working out. It should be choice.. if youre scared or barely putting effort into a workout, then wear your mask..Staff is very rude & controlling. You can be in a room by yourself, with no one in sight, doing a hard workout and theyll yell at you to cover your whole face. I use to love this gym because as a woman its nice to have the separate rooms so you can get out of guys sight and feel comfortable. But now I feel very uncomfortable and upset. I miss the old friendly staff and good days of being able to breathe while running. Please reconsider before you lose more members over nonsense.

I used to come into the gym when ever I was able to, Ive only been able to come now during the early mornings. The morning supervisor, I believe her name is Danielle, has to be one of the sweetest human beings Ive ever came across. Always in a good mood at 5am and making sure every member is greeted with a Good morning! As for the gym, it is always spotless and theyre always making sure the facility is clean and sanitized for their members. Definitely recommend attending this gym if youre in search of one!

Everyone is polite. Its very clean, even before the pandemic, the staff kept the equipment and bathrooms very clean.

Overall the gym is great but there are always people who dont follow the rules, like mask wearing.

I went back in November to start my membership again after 3 years. The staff knew I was a returning member so he just turned the computer around and said here fill this out and you will be good to go. Never any conversation about new fees or late fees or annual fees or anything really. So fast forward to January and I get a notification from my bank saying that there was a charge from planet fitness that was not paid...the money wasnt in my account because I didnt know anything about a charge that was going to be taken... then again at the end of January they tried again to take the charge plus my membership plus late fees... so I called the gym and spoke with the man that answered the phone who rudely told me that he told me that there would be a annual charge when I came in to renew my membership after I informed him that he did NOT have any type of conversation with me other than to tell me to look at the screen and fill out the information and Id be good I told him to cancel my account. So today Im almost 4 hours away from home...have been for almost 3 weeks for the arrival of my grandbaby I go to use my card and theres a charge on my account from none other than planet fitness the account I CANCELLED a month ago!!! So now I call AGAIN and again I am rudely told that my account has not been canceled and that it will not be canceled until I come in and sign a paper and they will not refund my money...so I have paid for 4 months of membership a annual fee and late charges all because this planet fitness employee didnt do their job correctly. I will never go to another planet fitness and will make sure to let anyone I know aware of the way things are done. In response....The manager is who I spoke with last

Love this place with a passion. One of the only gyms I visit and truly dont feel judged. The staff is super friendly and will even do workouts with you in the evening, depending on the staff member. More than enough treadmills, elipicals and bicycles. There are about 4 stair masters, and a wide variety of machines for arms, abs and legs. They have dumbells and deadlifting stations with mirrors. Yoga mats and medicine balls in the back. And plenty of cleaning stations to wipe down your equipment. In the back they have rotation stations to complete a workout that targets all muscle groups in your body. They offer tanning and massage chairs to black card members. Its a bit more money but worth it.

I went in to check that my membership is still frozen. I saw a crowded gym with no masks except for the staff. No social distancing. Im not going back until there is a vaccine, if then. Ive seen guys take a dump and walk right by the sinks. I dont trust this place with my health. Try harder people.

My daughter had COVID and was not able to comply with the cancellation policy which was to deliver the cancellation letter in person or send it via certified mail. She could not deliver a letter to Planet Fitness or go to the post office and stand in line to send a certified letter due to being quarantined and recovering from COVID so she mailed the letter. Due to the issues with USPS in December, the letter was not confirmed received by Planet Fitness. When my daughter called to confirm receipt of the letter, she spoke to a lady on staff that told her that she could email them a cancellation letter because of the USPS issues and the potential for spreading COVID. She did send the email the cancellation letter but the manager would not honor the cancellation because it was past the date to cancel and that she did not follow their cancellation policy. She had COVID and was could not send the letter certified nor could she deliver the letter in person. My daughter was billed the $39 as the manger refused to work with her. If she had followed their cancellation policy, she would have contaminated the gym and they would have had to shut down. This gym does not COVID policy for cancellation so be careful what you sign when you join. Their cancellation policy is archaic does not work during a pandemic. Poor customer service!

An older Planet Fitness with a different type of layout Ive never seen. Most planet fitnesses Ive been to have their 30 min workout area to the left or right. This one has it in the back. The Kannapolis PF is nicer but this one is closer to home. Some of the wipe stations were out of paper towel. Its ok, for $10/mo you cant complain.

The equipment, the staff, and the cleanliness

Seriously soo impressed with these gyms. They have a lot more to offer than machines. They have free weight racks, cable machines, ab areas, circuit training areas and are super clean. Their black card offers you to bring a guest free and to tan (if your j to that) and use of their hydro massage chairs that are AMAZING.

The team did a very good job on covid 19 sanitizing the gym .. great job keep up the good job..

I love going to Planet Fitness. All the staff are so nice and welcoming. The trainer, Kristi, is awesome. She is so personable and cares about the people she is working with. I love to attend the group fitness classes each week and one thing I love about the classes are that they can be modified based off of your personal ability level. Thanks PF!!

Personnel and People (members); just wonderful! Im retired now and attempt to work out three to four times a week which at 90 minutes to 2 hours each visit requires a friendly place bolster ones health and well being. I Love It!

Excellent !!! For me it’s a placewhere I can escape everything.Seems well maintained.I would go every day but my wife would think I have a girlfriend.I go through my workout in my headbefore I get there so it’s seamless for me. Great to have PF so close to work and home.Good job PF staff.

Best gym ever

Nice planet fitness with helpful staff. One of the busier planet fitness gyms I have been to. They have all the machines. About half the people whip them of after they use the machines. Good location and easy to find.

I like this location. I visit many of the planet fitness locations across the state and this is always one of the cleanest I visit. They also have a good selection of equipment.

Its probably the best gym Ive been to. I tried different 24 Hr fitness and LA fitness in Dallas, TX and Miami and a couple of upscale gyms in Romania and Mexico. This one is small, but not crowded, and they have really cool equipment. The vibe is also really good.

I love to come to get my fitness on at this location in Salisbury. It’s great that’s it’s open 24 hours a day. It has tanning beds and massagers in this location. Our facility is new and very clean. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to get into shape, Try Planet Fitness out😁

Awesome! They have everything I need to get fit and healthy. They have a trainer to help you and at no extra charge. I can go as many times a day and they are open 24/7! Check them out. The price is so low that youll be pleasantly surprised. I have the black card which entitles me to a lot of extras. Check it out and get yourself a new you!

Worst planet fitness ever

I l like the fact that it really is a judgment free zone. I can work out at my own pace and not be pressured into anything thats Im not comfortable with. Going there anytime I like is a strong draw. Along with the friendly and helpful staff makes every time I have a great work out. Im so glad they came to Salisbury. I would recommend Planet Fitness to all my friends and family.

Planet Fitness is a rip-off. My Daughter came in November to cancel her membership and because someone messed up they did NOT cancel her membership and the payments were continued to come out of her bank account. She now has acquired over draft fees and planet fitness will not shut her account until she pays the late fees and membership dues for December and January. WHAT BS!!!!

It is a good place to work out and the staff is friendly enough, I had to cancel my membership and even though I went in ahead of time, they are still going to charge me the annual fee of $39. Keep an eye on your account, because they do not for warn you when the fee comes out either.

Been a while & finally got back in the gym this AM. Was greeted with a welcome back Jason! Always clean & machines in order.

Kristi the personal trainer at this location is amazing! I was always hesitant to try the group classes and training sessions. She makes each personal feel right at home! She is very knowledgeable and professional at all times. Now I am hooked! She has personally help me overcome some limitations I set for myself and now the skies the limit! I have never felt better!!!

Great place to workout, price cannot be beat. Typically not very busy in the mornings and busier in the evening. Even though it’s busier in the evenings there are no problem with getting on any of the equipment. Equipment and facilities are clean and in great condition. The atmosphere is comfortable, plenty of different channels on the tv’s. Overall great experience at the Salisbury Planet fitness.

The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable! The hours are great too! I work full time and have a family so its great that they are open during the night and I dont have to try to fit working out during the hectic day schedule. Plus the black card membership is totally worth all the perks I get! The is the first gym Ive ever joined and super happy I did! 😊

Wasnt always a fan, but this location has made me rethink how I felt about Planet Fitness! They have a very friendly staff and the equipment is well maintained. Not to mention the people I have met while working out here are just as friendly and it truly is a judgement free zone!

Love this place. Great place to start your fitness journey. I just wish they have more full body mirrors and have a Sauna instead of tanning beds.

Its a good place, friendly staff and clean equipment. I am rather disappointed in what they play on the TVs though. A lot of the time it has VERY indecently dressed women and men being displayed in music videos or movies. Theres young people that workout there as well as people who simply do not wish to be exposed to poorly dresses individuals.

They have tons of equipment for Pilates. However they dont have a class for it or have anyone who can teach you to use it. They are clean, spacious, and have lots of everything.

I love the fact that I can just come in and do my thing and not worry. The gym is always clean and the equipment is always available.

I love this location. The only problem I have is that it is not open 24 hours 7 days a week. My work schedule requires me to work 1ST, 2ND and 3RD shifts; so there are times when I can not work out on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. There are people other than me who are dealing with this issue as well.

Staff are consistently courteous, and exhibit high degree of professionalism. Equipment is well-maintained. Facility is clean. There is close attention to safety. Joining Planet Fitness was the best decision for my fitness needs.

You can get a good work out for only $10 a month

The people are so nice,and they have a large variety of workout equipment.I go six days a week.

The staff here is rude and all they do is follow you around telling you what you can’t do according to the rule book. I can’t have a peaceful workout without some employee telling me I’m doing something wrong. I hate this gym and will be transferring to another one. The GYM is where you track your progress and I do that with pictures and videos but apparently that’s against the rules. This place is a joke.

Love it so far but sincerely wish they had later hours Friday, Saturday, Sunday. My boyfriend and I love working out together and he works 7 am- 7 pm those days so they arent open at all any of the hours hes off work. Other than that, loving it.

Not sure if its the resolution crowd or the low intelligence crowd, but the gym is being overran by inconsiderate people of late. Numerous bros wearing cut up tank tops, masks not covering their noses and often not covering anything beyond their chin. They dont wipe down the equipment, jump between multiple prices of equipment, use the 30 minute circuit like its in their garage, and slam weights on every set. If the Forum has closed I can understand why they are now here ruining our gym but Ill be going elsewhere if it continues. I watched someone use the Smith machine yesterday who had no shoes on, just sweaty socks leaving footprints on the floor. Mask was on his chin, grunting on every rep, and slamming the weight into the rack. Its off putting to older members and not what were accustomed to at Planet Fitness. Thanks for listening to my rant, just getting discouraged by the lack of enforcement of the club rules that make Planet Fitness welcoming to all.

Love planet fitness especially the hydro massage. I like how a guest can come with you but I wish they be able to use the hydro when they went with you Also wish it was longer then 10 min.

I think Planet Fitness gets a bad rap. I do wish it was more of a traditional gym at times—they would be so much better with a real bench press and free weights, but they do have a TRX area at this Planet Fitness, with battle ropes and other stuff as well. The other week I realized they have some row machines! That made it a little better that they only have smith machines.

The teenager summer challenge is great for those who cant afford a membership

It is a great gym for the price. The only problem I have is the no critics and judgment free zone part. Thats all fine, but dont go and say that you supposed these things and turn around and put the definition of the word Lunk on the wall . Might as well put the deception of hypocrisy while youre at it. Just saying. Other than that, great gym lol.

I would like to see this location get the total body enhancement. It has plenty tanning boths but for those of us that dont wish to tan can we have something to enjoy when we visit as well other than exercise and go home? Theres plenty benefit with the total body enhancement.

Was informed once I made the trip to the facility that my guest couldnt be permitted since she was under 18 years of age. I think its redicilous to be locked into a contract monthly membership that limits who you can bring with you. Very dissatisfied with the strict rules at this facility and how they govern every little aspect of your experience while you are there.
