I canceled my membership in writing, in person, and was still charged for the next six months. I would not recommend doing business with them.

Do NOT give these thieves your debit card number. Ive made multiple attempts to cancel since the start of the pandemic and was either given the run-around or intentionality mislead. Staff is probably pressured to be deliberately evasive and I feel for them; but, the way this franchise traps its members is so unethical, I dont even know how its legal. Its been well over a year since Ive even set foot inside a Golds and still they squeeze me for rent money. Unless youre ready to make a deal with the devil--DONT sign up with them.

Great staff and good equipment, including free-weights. They have a one-time fee of $69 that they use as a sales tactic and as an extra source of revenue because they actually charge that fee once a year when you go to renew. To be clear, they seem to be advertising a one-time fee while charging it to their clients once a year. This is what I was just told as I was about to renew for a second year, but I wont be knocking 3 stars off until I get positive confirmation this is actually true and the salesperson isnt just misinformed.

This is one of the nicest gyms Ive ever seen. They did a great job with the design. It looks so clean and modern. The cycling room is top of the line with stadium levels. I hear theyre bringing in a top of the line body imaging machine that gives you your body measurements and an outdoor functional training area with sleds and ropes. Golds Gym Salinas South is the premier place to get fit. Tony, the manager has a great staff and are all nice to work with. Cant wait for the retail merchandise to come in.

Good that they are outside. Bad that people are NOT practicing s. Distancing ( about 1/2 were), machines werent cleaned between each person. And there is NO,NONE at all shelter from above, weather sunny or night, theres no protection from elements. At this moment there is an active slert for EXTREME AIR QUALITY ALERT, due to SEVERAL FIRES in our area,its at 159, (#3 worst air in the US, at this moment) without the employees warning about the risk, and or letting the members continue to work out ( when its even been on the news that no one should be workingout/exersizing outside and its been an active alert for 3 days), they are either1) ignorant to the damage it can do to each person[ which obviously is different for each person,2) oblivious, and just busy playing with there phones,perhaps they dont get paid to care about the members( this is an everyday occurance, with several different employees)3) they are so money hungry, that they do not care4) perhaps no one, permit wise knows they are open and operating like this,5) they could have permission from city, and if thats the caseITS A WHOLE DIFFERENT ISSUE,Bottom line, if i need to work out without a proper mask, ( for the ash, which covid masks are not rated for that) i would hope my gym would use good judgement and due dilligence..and do what is best for members AND empliyees, whether they like it or not..i can no longer recommend businesses like that😟content://com.android.chrome.FileProvider/images/screenshot/15980327175183104427490856524680.png

I when there to check the prices and get more info but on 8/16/2020 around 5:00 pm the two guys working there were really rude and is like they didnt want to give any information. I felt sad because I wanted to join them. Ohh well😔

Worst golds gym i have been a member of. Its not a corporate location which is why the quality is lacking. Owner doesnt seem to care to maintain facility. Employees do bare minimum and when you tell them you found an issue they say thanks but nothing gets done. The official app doesnt work here so you cant check class times from app. In fact this location doesnt appear if you search for Golds Gym. Torn padding on machines, missing knobs on benches, equipment accessories scattered about. Takes weeks to fix equipment once they place an out of service sign on it. This location is hurting the image of Golds Gym.

I have been going for a year now and can say it has continued to keep location clean and well taken care of. Continues to provide equipment and classes that members are looking for to reach their goals. Enviroment continues to be friendly and respectful and appreciate they made great use of this space in the neighborhood. Thank you!

Not the young stud I used to be but I will always enjoy going to Golds where the real iron is being pushed. Great facility, good people, old school gym atmosphere.

Customer service is bad. A lot of people feeling themselves at the check in desk with a ready to fight attitude. Ridiculous.I have been going to gyms for 5 years and tried different gyms. Golds is the worst. If I could give 0 stars I wouldve. go on yelp to see the real reviews about this no sign up gym.

Nice gym in a good location. Much bigger on the inside and up to date equipment.

Great staff; Tony, Mark and Spencer are all very nice people! They work well with clients, would deft recommend!

This gym opens really early, is super clean, has plenty of weights with a great variety of machines and you cant beat working out with new equipment.

Its a great place to get a good workout. All cardio machines have there own tv

Wow each machine has internet and TV... I am in Love with this gym and so so clean!
