The residence at A Happy Home is beautiful, clean, and spacious and has a wonderful yard that produces roses from over a dozen bushes, a lovely apple 🍎 tree in the backyard, and a rear deck that is a great spot to enjoy the day.I have always felt safe and cared for here.I am relocating to be closer to my family and church, but this is the type of environment I would recommend A Happy Home to friends or family. A great place!!!

Had to make connection at the transit station to get to work on time. As soon as I arrived I got off one bus, waited 4 minutes and got on the other one. Perfect timing to make sure I got to work on time. Thanks.

Generally good service and helpful drivers, but theres always a few who are rude and unhelpful. Some of the drivers definitely need some customer service training.Mask enforcement has improved, but drivers do not enforce social distancing or occupancy limits.

I remember when it was $.50 to ride the bus. The bus in Salem has come so far from when I was little and it is for the better.....

You need to train your drivers better. They would not let me on because I had food in bags in my hand never been an issue before. Then they close the doors as Im half way in them. Hitting me and the food.

I strongly recommend Cherriots as a form of transportation! Most of all my experience with Cherriots has been great! The customer service is respectful, understanding and always finds ways to help in our inquiry! The transit center and the buses are some of the cleanest in the Willamette valley, and the bus drivers are just amazing! Cherriots has been listening and improving their services with amazing service enhancements that have bettered my life and hopefully the people in our community. Im thankful to have cherriots and look forward to more service enhancements over time!

This particular bus service is a well operated and maintained one. The facility is nice and very well kept. Unfortunatly right now you are unable to have any use of public restrooms due to covid. The bus service was cleaning in between the transit buses everytime one came in to drop/ pickup people they would then clean each bus once again due to Covid. The routes are almost back to normal right now so its a decent tine to ride the transit system. That and due to the fact that they are running right now without any fares needed, its a great time.

Most of the drivers are friendly and attentive. The transit center is in a nice location. Convenient rack in front of the buses for bike. A good alternative if you dont have a car and need to get around Salem.

The bus driver to drive to Dallas and back is a great guy. He stopped when I was running to the bus in Dallas to pick me up when I wasnt at the bus stop but he noticed I wanted to be in the bus. I also almost forgot my water bottle in the bus when I left but he yelled for me and gave it back. Cherriots has great employees! Thank you for all you do!

I am giving them a 4 star rating due to the fact that the people who are supposed to disinfect the touch points in the bus do not do that because the seats are cloth. YOU CAN STILL WIPE DOWN THE REST OF THE BUS JUST NOT THE SEATS.

The drivers are awesome as well as the transit mall staff. I just wish they kept the bathrooms open until nine pm. Almost had a major problem one night and one of the drivers understood my need and helped me out. So thankful they are back running on Saturday and looking forward to Sunday service.

The desk and receptionists are always friendly and Knowledgeable about these services chariots offers and different types of bus passes. The terminal is clean and has security as well as local and forsman readily available hands down one of the most well kept transit terminals Ive ever had the pleasure of working with.

Salem bus service isnt bad. It doesnt run on weekends yet, but thats coming later this year. The drivers are nice (some are nicer) and theyre rarely late except for that time the truck overturned on the bridge from West Salem.Also try the baklava and ranch dressing from the deli at the down town station. Not together, but theyre really good there.

They are not organized enough. They dont have easy to understand logistics and scheduling is not accurate. Good drivers though.

I was at the transit waiting for my bus and noticed there werent any employees cleaning out the buses anymore disinfect wise. Yall did it for what a month and gave up. Covid-19 is killing people.

I love Cherriots, because I have always been able to get across town if I needed to. Its always been a real plus that Salem has had a reasonable transit system for more than thirty years. Not very many cities our size can make that kind of claim, and so I wish Cherriots the very best for their future.

ITS a local bus. The current board does good work but they need a lot of improvements in the routes. There are too many times where the buses are empty and then do not serve when they could be needed the most. The new signs offer very little identity to the cherriots brand.

Useful service during covid. Though only up to so many are allowed on the bus at one time the I increased number of buses do assist.

One of the wheels fell off my Walker while I was at the transit mall on Thursday and two of the customer service staff inside at the information desk helped me repair it so that I could use the Walker to get back home thank you very much for your marvelous service.I asked them if they had any washers so that we can repair it they found what we needed and they got me back up on four wheels so that I could maneuver and be mobile again.

For what little they have to work with, its not bad, but expect it to be busy inside (especially the restrooms). I do not recommend the mini-mart unless you are desperate. Its not exactly the most affordable place.You can purchase bus passes here; daily, monthly, or annual. Prices are reasonable, and varies what age you are. Small children and seniors get a discount.If youre looking for weekend or holiday travel, youre out of luck. Busses start running from around 6 AM, and the last ones depart 8-9 PM (depending on the bus). Maps and schedules can be found inside or the official website. As goes for the information I provided above, plus more.

On time for the most part. Im also glad that to can feel safe riding the bus with my kid.

The props I will give this company is that they offer free Wi-Fi and their buses are beautiful they are clean and comfortable. Everything else though was disgustingly dirty the buses are not clearly marked as to where they go you have to ask an attendant if you do not know the lineI paid $5 for regular coffee at the coffee shop that is not located at the bus station but was led out through the hallway into their disgusting bathroom I was very u empress, also if you work at a commute station you should not be cleaning the bathrooms right when there is a switch off.

I have ridden the buses for over 20 years since my 17th birthday. I have made a lifetime learning the routes and adjusting to the changes that have come during those years. I view Cheerios as a system that enables me as a disabled person to get around on a budget. I have limited income. I can have fun, and still meet my needs with riding the bus.

The bus system in salem isnt bad at all. Living clear in Dallas has shown me to appreciate things like a city bus. I enjoy being able to jump on a bus & get just about anywhere. Although my one complaint would be needing a stop closer to Bonventure off of Kuebuler rd. I freaking hate how far it is to walk to the nearest stop.

I love city bus transport. My favorite bus color is green. Too bad they don’t have any green cherriot busses in my area. I also love red. And blue too. All busses are fantastic. The people are very nice. Sometimes they smell like wet dog but damn... All busses are amazing!!!

Not really a serious bus service, they start too late in the morning to get to work, dont run weekends and changing a bus to get anywhere adds an hour to a journey. My trip to work in a car takes less than 30 mins, by bus it takes up to 1 hour 30 mins. I really want to be able to take the bus.

They are amazing.. Lots of love and hard work goes into what they do on a daily basis. They have been there for me & my family for more than 10 yrs. I love them all (customer service too)!!!

Their now running on Saturdays, yea..friendly drivers an always willing to help, I use the Red line service when I need to go shopping or Dr. appointments, can call Cherriots an order book of ten passes for $32. an they mail them to me, very convenient..

Normally very good, but this evening the last bus passed right by me without stopping. The driver wasn’t even looking to see if anyone was waiting at the stop. Consequently, I had to hike a quarter mile uphill and arrange another ride. Try harder, Cherriots.

Cherriots busses are clean. The drivers go out of their way to help you. They are knowledgeable if you need help changing busses they provide quick accurate information. Very kind professional drivers. If you dont ride the bus maybe you should give it a try and park your car. Like I do even if you dont get a day ticket. Two dollars is a heck of a deal for a ride.

Cheerios is better than not having any transportation but they really need to study Trimet and work on things to make things more convenient for their customers not their drivers.Routes are kind of horrible especially if you work and have an hour between buses and the buses dont show up or even leave early! The hours like most of Salem are poor and no weekend service is just asinine. Several of the drivers have no personality at all and these people are making far more than me to give lousy customer service. The few rising stars they have I hope get recognized or promoted.

This station is appalling! I have to visit Salem every Friday and cringe at the thought of having to pass through here. Restrooms are hardly ever cleaned, theres never any seating as its become a daytime habitat for the less fortunate, and their own security which comes in ample supply through G4S fails to help my wife feel safe.Shame on you, Salem

Its easy to get around once you get use to it.

I am a 17 year old boy who has rode Cherriots countless times, this experience was the only one bad enough to warrant a poor review. I looked up the bus schedule, and patiently waited at my stop for close to an hour (about 54 minutes to be exact) just for the bus to arrive. When the bus arrived, the bus driver made eye contact and just continued driving. Im not sure why this happened, but I will not be riding a single Cherriot anytime soon.

I called customer service because my partners bus was not only a half hour late, but taking the wrong route. The representative kept thinking I was lying. A lot of the new drivers also refuse to take me downtown to get a month pass. I even had a driver flip me off and honk at me after kicking me off because I told him I was on my way to get a month pass.

Utter long term disappointment at times. Drivers have no respect for passengers at times and buses are always never on time and in fact arrive during times where its not even near the stated ETA estimates online. Can come across as rude to people who are just trying to help with other passengers. They almost always shut the door behind you and go unexpectedly which is really bad for people who have not-easily-visible physical disabilities. Absolutely would not recommend this service unless you have no alternative to transport. Even though I used it before, it certainly was a service that didnt provide its best to its customers.

Excellent bus system. Only faults are no night or weekend service. All buses are A.D.A. compliant with wheelchair ramps. Day passes and monthly passes available.

I write cherriots all the time and I really enjoy it. It may take a little longer to get places, but if you dont have a car its worth it what cheaper than driving a car and have to pay for your insurance and everything

Hi, july 5 this year I got on the number 2 headed for fred meyer when I saw our bus driver go nonchalantly through a red light that was already red and still was after we passed. I saw a cherriot bus crash into a car when I was a kid. People got hurt. Ours went across a street that would normally be busy but because it was approx 10:30-11:30 nothing happened. Now for a driver to space off like that can be a little unnerving. I want the driver to be talked to about that incident.
