I went to Magda for a lower half leg wax, and she was excellent. She has a very bubbly, friendly personality, and she works quickly. I was pleased that they are following COVID-19 protocols, and its very clean. The pricing seemed a little steep to me, but this was my first leg wax, so it might actually be a great deal. I already have my second appointment scheduled!

Being in my 40s I was somewhat hesitant about going in for services but the girls there were great and made it a very comfortable experience. Well as comfortable as possible when it comes to having hair ripped out lol

*WARNING* They charge you for missed appointments, no exceptions. Ive been a customer for over two years and last week was my first missed appointment (on accident, there was a problem with my phone calender reminding me). I called to explain the situation, asking if they could consider my clean record up until then and allow the charge on my card to go to another appointment as I still wanted my wax. The secretary said she would leave a message for the manager but that there most likely wouldnt be a refund as it was their policy. I never got a call back from the manager. I called again a few days later and again was told the manager would be in touch. Again, I never got a call.Its a real shame. Ive been going for over two years and have loved my experience up until this point. If they truly wouldnt have refunded my money it would have been even worse considering Ive been a loyal customer, have been polite and always tipped my waxer well. I will be taking my business somewhere the loyalty of the customer is honored and the manager is actually attentive to the customers concerns.

Due to sickness and dealing with a family member dying in hospice care, I had to reschedule an appointment. Still sick and still dealing with a family tragedy, I missed that appointment, called and rescheduled again. I was charged for my missed appointment which overdrew my bank account (awesome!) and was told I would be charged to come back so I cancelled that appointment.Horrible customer service. After 2 years of being a loyal customer, I will never return. No compassion and a terrible policy for overpriced services.

I had a great experience with Lily! She was super understanding since this was my first waxing experience. I have pretty sensitive skin, and she was understanding of that, and had me take deep breaths to help me get through it. I would definitely recommend Lily if you want to get a waxing there. Super satisfied with my waxing experience. Will definitely be back!

Will not be recommending this place to friends or family. Receptionist are rude and ignore you till they feel like talking to you unless they have something better to do. Didn’t understand why I had to wait 15 minutes when there are two receptionists to cancel an appointment I was unable to be seen for. Ridiculous.Clumps of wax are always left after my appointment and the environment does not seem friendly unless you’re a preferred customer. I am a paying customer and would like to be treated with the same respect I give.Worst experience

So i have only been here once so far but from past experience i can tell you right now Madison will make all of your waxing dreams come true without it being a nightmare. This chick has all the tips and suggestions up her sleeve and if it is your first time she will get you set on the wax path thats right for you. The facility is very nice, clean and inviting. I still remember my first waxing experience. I was so nervous and was regretting the appointment from before I stepped into the salon. However, Morgan was patient and kind and very personable, so I felt comfortable and keep coming back! It has been two years now, and I still see Morgan and its like our monthly catch ups. Ive already recommended cherry city waxworks to two of my friends and I would continue to do so.

Second time there for my Brazilian and this is one of the better waxing places Ive been to. Madison has been my waxer both times and shes awesome. She does a quick, painless job but is still very thorough.The building is nice and rooms are clean. Check in to check out, all the ladies are helpful and nice. Definitely one of the best places to be waxed.

Yesterday, I received my very first Brazilian wax by Paris. The facility was extremely clean and the staff very professional. Paris did a wonderful job, and it did not hurt nearly like I thought it would, and I no doubt attribute that to Paris skill as a waxer. I dont even have any irritation the next day. It was very fast, as it took less than 25 minutes from the time I got there to walking out the door. I would highly recommend this place!

I came in for a brow and lip wax at my appointment time. They refused to see me because I brought my daughter in with me and they have a no children policy. I understand having the policy, but I was never told ahead of time and had no way of knowing this. Also, a lip and brow wax takes 10 minutes max and it would have been no problem to have my daughter there. They should have informed me of the policy and asked me to not bring a child in the future rather than turned me away at the door. I will not be returning.

I really love Cherry City Wax Works! I have gone to plenty of other waxing places trying to find the right one, and I promise I will not go to anyone but Jazmyne from now on. She is warm and inviting, while maintaining the highest level of professionalism. On top of that, the girl know hows how to wax. Today I had my very first appointment with Cherry City Waxworks and it was amazing! Well, as good as could be expected lol. I saw Morgan and she was super professional and fast. I scheduled my second appointment and cant wait to continue this service with them. I realized after I left that I didnt leave a tip and feel horrible. I was unsure if thats something they do here and when I told my friend they said Im supposed to. So shout out to Morgan and Im sorry! Ill definitely leave a tip next time!

Cancel my appointment on me less then 3 hours before my appointment. Super unprofessional when you have a strict cancel policy. Do I get money for wasting my time? Took the day off work so I could get this done before vacation!!! Will not be recommending this place to any of my customers or friends.... Then to have the owner call me back and harass and threaten to call the cops on me. Still laughing at that part. After reading other reviews and seeing the responses from Jasmine this only makes sense. She must be a peach to work for lol. Never been here and never will. Unprofessional customer service. And horrible attitude over the phone. The wax specialist hung up the phone on me as I was explaining some of my waxing needs and asking questions about their services as soon as I did not make an appointment?? Hmm, Its obvious they are just concern about booking appointments but without the full effort. Its a shame but luckily theres other options out there and Im happy to take my business somewhere else were it will be appreciated. I was lead to call by the 5 star reviews but I trust my gut more. Dont let all the hype fool you.

The waxers are always knowledgable, friendly, and helpful during the appointments. They are trained the same way and follow specific procedures during the appointments so even when you are scheduled with different waxers, the experience is the same! It is nice that each time I go I know exactly what to expect, and each waxer does a wonderful job! I always recommend Cherry City Wax Works.

It was my first Brazillian EVER! I loved Morgan, she was so nice and made everything a really pleasant experience and I will definitely be going back to her! The environment was also very calming, not scary at all.

I did not have a great experience. It was a lot of little things that added up to an uncomfortable experience.Firstly they have a 24hr cancellation policy (and will charge you if you cancel with less than 24hr notice) but called me about 90 mins before to TELL me theyd moved my appt. Not asked me but TOLD me. Full disclosure, it was only bumped up 15 mins and there was a half-hearted apology at the end of the mssg apologizing for the inconvenience but still it just didnt seem very considerate.Secondly, the front desk lady wasnt particularly friendly when I came in . When it was time to get waxed the girl told me to undress but didnt leave the room to allow me to do so. It made an already slightly awkward experience even more awkward. There was also no privacy towel to cover myself while I waited.Thirdly, clumps of wax were left in areas that were difficult for me to get to on my own though the finished product did look good.Finally (and the part that really bothered me) was the waxing room door opens into the main lobby and is in view of the front door. After my wax the girl went to leave the room and just opened the door while I was still undressed on the table. Anyone could have walked by and seen me.Ive only gone to one other waxing place but had such a better experience where my comfort level and privacy was taken into consideration more than this place did.For me, getting waxed is awkward and a little embarrassing but I go because Im not good at doing it at home. I just wish they showed a little bit more consideration.

Service was ok although I was very disappointed that I requested a specific person and got moved to another without being asked. Also this being my second Brazilian I was expecting it to be like my first (nice and relaxing) instead it hurt due to the girl pushing WAY to hard on me while applying the wax . To top it all off I ended up coming home with wax still on my body that I ended up peeling off myself. Felt a little pressured into making a follow up appointment. I may end up just looking elsewhere for better service.

The staff are super nice and patient, which makes me comfortable every time I go. The prices are decent and they offer discounts when you refer someone and they go, or if you get waxed by one of their new employees who are still training.

This is the best place to get waxed if you live in Salem! I have been going in every few weeks since July, and the depilar treatment that I am getting is not only easy but very effective! On top of it all, Jazmyne is so down to earth and fun to catch up with. I look forward to my appointments and HIGHLY recommend that you go there for all your waxing needs... you wont regret it!

As a male in my low 50s, it was my first Brazilian. I was talked through all of the process, except the ones I didnt want to know. Its not painless but it wasnt bad. I had a nice conversation and kind of look forward to going back for maintenance.

I will not use their services ever in the future. Had an appointment a few weeks ago which went fine with the gal doing the service. Although the front desk person was not friendly (owner?). But I booked a second appt to return. Today I mistakenly missed that appointment, (I had the appointment on my calendar for tomorrow). I take full responsibility for getting that mixed up, and I also understand that it should’ve been my responsibility to read the form that I signed, stating that they would Charge my credit card if I missed an appt. although I don’t like that policy, it wasn’t that, that upset me. Overall I get that. It was the tone of the call informing that I missed the appt. from the get-go. When I questioned her about the auto charge, she got more defensive. In light of that, I said, “please don’t reschedule me”, it got worse... she hung up on me midsentence. obviously I knew I would not give them a good recommendation nor would I ever be back. She referred to “my business” so I’m assuming it was the owner.

I was a client for over 3 years & had GREAT experiences with Madison. I saw the owner one time when my regular was on maternity leave & she made me VERY uncomfortable. (I dont want to hear about your drinking problem. We literally met 5 mins ago. Im just here for a Brazilian.)I recently called to cancel my next appt because Madison is no longer there. The owner was really SNARKY! She tried to get me to reschedule without informing me that Madison isnt there anymore. Hopefully shell start being honest with other clients.

Im blown away at all the rave reviews, and Im thinking it must have to do with the lead lady herself, Jazmyne, not the overall quality of the place. Jazmyne only takes new clients through referrals now, so an average person has to go to one of the other waxers at Cherry City. I was not impressed. Cute and clean facility, but there was minimal communication and poor results when it came to my actual waxing. First: Im neither brand new to waxing nor old hands, Ive had a few bikini waxes before in others places Ive lived. I was expecting this to be the same, but 1) Previously my waxes have always been in a triangular shape, really just taking some off all sides of your natural business, and this was also explained clearly before the waxing started. This time I got (to me) a weird looking rectangular shape that I didnt expect and she didnt tell me was going to happen. This is a little my fault; I assumed at this point that everyone does bikini waxes in relatively the same way, but she also should have explained her plans before starting to rip out hair. 2) Not that much was done to minimize pain. Sometimes shed apply pressure to an area that was just pulled as an after thought. 3) The wax was unlike whats been used on me before, there were no strips it was just applied, hardened a bit, and then was pulled off directly, which Im not against on its own, except 4) I would say that about 1/3 of the hairs were not in fact pulled out but rather broken off at the top. This is bad. This is where bumps and ingrown hairs come from. I started to notice something was wrong when after 3 days I was still red and bumpy, and when looking down realized that this was because I had many follicles with now very short hairs trying to break through. My results are slightly better than if I had just shaved the area, except that I paid $30 plus tip for this.Given how positive other people have been, Im sure there are some reasons for this. Bad day? Something going on with the wax? My hair is strange? Maybe my previous waxing experiences were extraordinary and not actually a good norm to compare things to? Cherry City wasnt awful and Im sure you are safe to go there and give it a try, but I wont be returning or telling friends to head in.
