Fairly open floor plan with lots of varied equipment. I prefer the squat racks, pull up bars and open space. My wife likes the varied machines as well for her work as a bodybuilder. Lots of other amenities. Check it out. Kudos for them for staying open with tight controls.

Staff told me several times I can only close my membership in person. Had to find out from someone at Battle Creek that they were misleading me.December: I go on Courthouse App to close my membership. It says it went through. I find out in February that they “are not finding a request.”Took me from October - March (hopefully) to get my membership closed.Do NOT get sucked in to it. They will take advantage of every possibility to keep you in contract.Do NOT donate to this failing company. Please let them fail as it is the consequences of their actions towards our community.

Amazing gym, always clean and never too busy; the staff are incredibly helpful and polite. The fact that they have 3 pools, a hot tub, AND saunas is ridiculous!

Called to get prices and they were twice as much as snap fitness but they do have a bunch of more amenities so it makes sense. Just not what I was needing so if youre looking for amenities go here.

Love High Fitness On Saturday mornings at 8AM ; Its a High Intensity aerobics class - Wide range age group; Usually several instructors per class - Instructors all super approachable. Exercise modifications included during the hour workout for most skillsets.

When I signed up I was told if I signed up RIGHT NOW I would be just before the policy changed and would not be charged an annual fee, just my sign up fee and my monthly fee. This is why I signed up that day. Well one year later they charged me the annual fee. I spoke with the manager who (rudely) informed me that none of his employees could possibly have said that, they all know better so I made it up. He refused to do anything at all to make it right. Apparently when you run your card the first time and sign for it (like any other card transaction) they sneak terms and conditions in there. When this was brought to my attention I spoke with the manager about how there was nothing on screen or verbal informing me of this. The manger basically said that was not his problem then offered to start my 3/mo cancellation process. Basically, they proved to be dishonest and rude. I was a member for over a year, never missed a payment or did anything at all to prompt this rudeness. When I went to the manger I was polite and confident they would correct the issue and things would move on like normal.

Place was clean.. The hot tube was hot. The machines were ok. I thought they would have more. Employs were nice. I bought the 20 dollars for 20 days. Its worth the money if in can make it every other day. Nice gym Not sure how much it cost to join full time.

Great place to work out. Instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful. Wide variety of classes. I enjoy going to the senior classes. Always get a good workout. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

They are charging over $60/mnth and $100 once a year. Their water fountain are all closed, sauna/steam are not working, exercise room is full, because of social distance, swimming pool is full and there is nothing i can do, just go home and wait until gym is going to be available to exercise, but they are charging like crazy.

This is the worst gym when it come to Communication. They will raise your rates for no reason they do not let you cancel your membership unless you would like to pay a $200 cancellation fee. They then send in other fees and charges without notification. Anytime I talk to anybody it seems like they have to always find somebody else to answer the question. I signed up to what I thought was a One year minimum membership because I just moved here and when I left my apartment after 12 months I realized I was still paying for the gym and was confused and they told me then it was 18 months not 12 and now I’m stuck in this membership. They have no consideration for the average person. I now live in a town where they are not located so I can’t even use the facility I’m paying for...

Great gym with options for everyone!

I received such a warm welcome here. Felt like one of the regulars, instead of a visitor. Was able to enjoy three workouts during my vacation.. Great teachers. Great energy. Wonderful overall experience here.

They always have a blow-up slide for children on the outdoor pool and have really kind staff. They have a spa and indoor pools as well as plenty of exercise machines/weights. I go there every week for private swimming lessons. The coaches are easy to get along with

Ive been going to Courthouse for about a year and thoroughly enjoy everything from the staff to the facilities. There are a lot of opportunities to train on your own, but I especially like attending the classes. The instructors are encouraging, make you feel comfortable, and give options for all fitness levels. They switch up the routines fairly often so it keeps things interesting and challenging. My personal favorite is High Fitness with Hrace and Jesse. They are the best!

Love it has everything

This is the best gym in town due to the pool and sauna. The classes are good too and the childcare helps a ton. With that comes the price of it all, which can get steep. Overall a great club to join if you have the money.

The facilities are clean and temporary membership was a breeze to get with the help of the coaches there. I am visiting from out of town so it worked out perfectly. Without them I wouldnt be on track with my ironman training

This has a very large selection of exercise equipment they are always trying to improve their equipment they have excellent customer service they always say hi Tom and if I have a concern they automatically address my concern thats what I love that about the courthouse athletic clubs and I can go into any of the clubs and get the same response and theyre all very close to each other less than 10 minutes away from

I think this place is great. I dont use all the stuff it has but I do use the cardio, open room and weights. Staff are really helpful (thanks for hanging the heavy bag for me I love banging that) and nice! I go early weekends and anytime from 5:30am to 9am weekdays (my work schedule changes) and Ive never found it to crowded. Im sure it could get that way but Ive never noticed that. Im quite happy and recommend it.

Absolute best gym in Salem! Always clean and friendly, the staff has great advice and the weight room and cardio machines are very well maintained. Tons of classes, daycare, three pools, hot tub, sauna, steam room, and an awesome little community that goes there! ❤️❤️❤️ love it!

Great gym in Salem, but you pay the most for it. It has childcare, and you have to get a childrens membership to use it. Theyre are great classes and wonderful instructors and trainers!

The Courthouse fitness center in West Salem is truly the best location! It is the most beautiful workout facility in Salem, a must see! The staff are very nice and helpful and truly want to help you be a healthier and happier person, there is always someone there for you. They also have so many different classes to choose from and 3 indoors/outdoors pools!

My better half and I have been coming here for a year now and overall there’s cleanliness in the gym. We are not impressed with the downtime of equipment once something is broken. The leg extension machine was out of service for about two months and now the ice machine is broken as well and no progress seems to be made. This is not ok for a gym.

I love this place. From the child care to the classes to the staff, everything is wonderful. It is always clean and the staff is so friendly, ready to help with anything. Courthouse at West feels like family.

Good club, but high priced. I am a member having joined before some of the lower cost alternatives were known to me. It is a convenient location.

Ripped me off more than once...

Pool review - ok overall. Life guards werent paying attention which made me nervous. One kid tried a front flip and nearly hit his head on the concrete as he was going in, but the life guards werent there. My brother jumped into the pool and they told him he couldnt dive just earlier. Great pool and indoor pool. Great facility, but the people working werent doing their job and werent taking it seriously.

Tried to cancel my membership, was told to go online to cancel. Filled out the cancelation form and submitted. Was charged fortwo months after cancelling my membership (not a part of my contract, just kept charging me). Was told they would not give me any refund despite me never using the gym during those two months.

Great full service gym. I love having a steam room in the locker room.

Best courthouse facility in my opinion, having tried all the other courthouse gyms in Salem/Keizer area (except the tennis court). It can be really crowded at times but its big enough that I can bring some weights in one corner and do my workout there. They have newer spinner which I really like.. more adjustability. Im much more motivated in this gym.

Fun but challenging R30 and CORE classes with instructor Drew Baker at the West club. Front desk staff always have a smile on their face and a welcoming attitude.

Love to come here & work out! The Zumba Classes are wonderful & weight lifting classes keeps me in shape. Its fun & before I know it, the hours over & I got my workout for the day!

This gym is great. Staff are very nice and super helpful. The only downside is how expensive it is.

Prices leave more to be desired (whew, expensive!), but the amenities are second to none. If you want a gym with the best options in town and youre willing to pay the price, this is the place!

Theyve got all the usual amenities plus three pools, a hot tub, and separate mens and womens steam rooms and saunas.They also offer group classes, group trainers, and personal trainers.The only down is that theyre spendy.

While this is a nice facility overall. Theyre not worth the price, the corporate staff and instructors are very unprofessional.

This is a great facility but, needs a good cleaning. Everytime I go in here it smells like dirty gym socks! Especially at the entrance

Courthouse West has a wide variety of activities you can join. I enjoy taking my grandsons to swim in the indoor and outdoor pools.

Member for several years now, but I have become slowly jaded over evolutions of change at Courthouse, seemingly motivated by maximizing profit. Nice place in general, but they nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING and they’re starting to have space issues. Example: I have a huge beef with something they recently started called “Squad”. At $180 per month!! (3x the typical membership), a trainer and small group/class of people now encroach on the common gym equipment that other members use and pay for. This is essentially just a class and since they dont have the room to expand that class they call it personal training !! To make room for this, they removed good equipment that targeted specific areas of the body that nothing else they have can, which effectively decreased the value of my membership. Additionally, the Squad trainers will try and monopolize equipment when they only need it for a small portion (if at all) of their class or you will get the stink eye (or they will get in your space - to try and get you to move) when you attempt to use what is (or has been) an open machine. They will have Squad running through walking areas and around equipment which presumably you are to yield for...because they are paying more as a member I suppose. They did the same thing with their spartan program, eliminating 1/3 of the gym and making it into a room for a class they can charge people extra for (which is not cheap) and goes unused and empty most of the day = lame. As a result, I have to wait longer to get on equipment or have people hover over me waiting to do the same. The layout of their gym equipment is a bit wonky, putting equipment in odd places. In some cases you have to stare at someone on a piece of equipment directly in front of you. Awesome. They have a good cardio area. Their classes fill up and people seem to like them. They lack any real place where you can do ab workouts without fighting for space or getting in anyones way. I’m fairly certain they do not clean their blue ab/floor mats. Front desk staff are really nice. Some of the trainers have attitude, but Ive seen that elsewhere and some arent in the greatest of shape. Sorry, I expect trainers to practice what they are paid to preach – or maybe courthouse charges their trainers for memberships. They have parking issues at peak times, ie you need to park a block away at the grocery store. Cars have been broken into – I suppose that can happen anywhere, but there is a field next to the lot which makes for easy cover. They have had theft from lockers due to broken lockers in disrepair for some time, but they seem to have fixed that. Im a member because its close by, but once another facility opens up nearby, I will definitely be re-considering my options. If they simply offered everything but personal training as part of the standard $60 membership, I would easily rate them much higher.

This place is expensive, but I guess you get what you pay for. It seems like it continues to grow into a local place to be seen more than a gym. The facilities are very nice, gym, three swimming pools (one outdoor, indoor kids, lap), hot tub, sauna, steam room, cardio machines, free weights, weight machines, TVs, lots of classes, and daycare.

This gym’s business practices are extremely shady. We have been members for a year but needed to quit because my husband was injured in an accident and I am 8 months pregnant. We were told that we had to pay for an additional 2 months before our membership would be canceled. Lame, but part of the contract (which they conveniently do not give you a copy of when you sign up for your membership, it’s all electronic). The kicker was that AFTER canceling our memebership we were charged a $75! annual fee for the upcoming year, the year that we would no longer be members. This is straight robbery. We called the main office to have this fee refunded and the woman on the phone couldn’t be bothered or care less. I am telling everyone I know to avoid this gym, they clearly don’t care about people’s health and fitness, just taking their money with ridiculous policies.

Too expensive. You pay $42 a month and are not able to utilize any classes, and dont have acess to the other Courthouses, then top off you get hit with Annual fees . Clean yes, but too much for not being able to utilize classes and other gyms without having to pay higher cost for those commodities

One of the best equipped gym options in Salem. Be aware that the traffic to get here is usually pretty bad from about 4:30 to 7:00 each night.
