This business seemed legitimate initially. I took my truck in for a smog after waiting about 30 minutes they brought me out to the bay to look underneath it to point out that my catalytic converter had been welded on both ends. 6+ years ago my catalytic converter was stolen and through my insurance it was replaced and then a safety measure of welding it to prevent future theft was performed. I have had my vehicle smogged three times since then by three separate businesses and passed Each time without issue. Smog mart proceeded to tell me that my catalytic converter was illegally installed showed me a diagram and matter-of-factly suggested that it be replaced. They told me this was my only option and they failed my smog. I explained my entire experience withMy catalytic converter to them and even told them that I had paperwork but they refused to pass my smog and Took my payment. I immediately left went to another Star certified business and my vehicle passed within minutes I discussed with that business Smog Mart‘s findings and they assured me there was nothing wrong with my catalytic converter. I also confirmed this with two other businesses as well as my mechanic. I went back to smog mart the following day explained to them the findings from the other businesses and my mechanic and asked for a refund. They insisted that they were correct and told me if I wanted to pursue a refund that I would have to take it up with the BBB. I am sharing my experience to forewarn anybody wanting to use this business that you may be coerced into purchasing products that may be unnecessary or having work done unnecessarily by this business for profit.

This is the second time I have been to this business and I can’t begin to express my highest praise for their kindness, customer service, professionalism, communication and their quality. I have an old truck that needed a lot of engine work, unfortunately she wasn’t given the proper tlc which I was aware of and was prepared for a high estimate. Poncho and his team were wonderful, as an older female it is very easy to be taken advantage of but not here, Poncho explained everything making me very comfortable about the work that was being done. When the truck was finished I was unable to drive due to an injury, one of the owners whose name I have never gotten brought the truck to my home. I can’t express my gratitude enough to everyone at this establishment and highly recommend them to anyone needing service no matter how big or small. They have my loyalty. Drove around town trying to find an open smog shop and everyone else was closed, these guys were open and were very friendly, willing to help me anyway possible

I took my car there Sat for brake repair. Paid them that afternoon and the brakes still were not fixed. They kept the car until Wed and when I got it back they still werent fixed. The mechanic Anthony misplaced my OBD reader. He gladly volunteered to replace it. A REAL STAND UP GUY. The owner HAMZA RUDELY TELLS ME IM NOT GOING TO TALK TO HIS MECHANIC AND DEMAND SOMETHING. WHICH I DIDNT . When I asked if we could do some kind of bill adjustments SINCE THEY DIDNT DO ANYTHING HAMZA lightweight THREATNED me. THIS IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE I GET IN AMERICA? NOT. I spite of the fact that this shop is located in one Sacramentos hottest Covid-19 zones, no one in this shop is wearing a mask, and many mask less people pass through the shop. If you are, like me, a person at a higher risk level, you should avoid this shop.

I went here to get a quick smog check done. The smog check itself was quick and cheap, but unknown to me, they did a “complimentary vehicle inspection” I didn’t give an okay for. Upon giving me my certification, the manager gave me a list of things “found wrong” during their inspection. Told me my breaks were worn down and trans was leaking fluid, then told me abt some payment plan they provided. Something in my gut didn’t feel right so I took it to LesSchwab to get a second opinion. Turns out, they found absolutely nothing wrong with the car and told me my breaks were fine. Before you get your smog done, TELL THEM NOT TO DO THE INSPECTION it’s a waste of time to try and scare you into spending money.TL:DR, Did a “free inspection” during smog, lied abt problems with the car. Got second opinion from a more reputable place, said nothing was wrong.

Have 2008 Chevy Aveo and these guys have done my AC system, wheel bearings, belt tensioner and now my power steering pump. They always check to make sure they get the best parts which I thought was pretty cool. They are all very professional and knowledgeable. They are very honest and upfront. I would recommend them for any auto repairs you might need. Really these guys are good. A++++

I needed new brakes for my car, my breaks were making weird noises whenever I would come to a stop. I had gone into smog mart because it was referred to me by a friend and it has a great convenient location. Derrick, the front desk employee had approached me in a friendly and professional manner and had booked a diagnostic.after about an hour the auto tech had given be the best deal possible compared to other auto body shops and fixed my car in a very efficient timely manner. I would recommend smog mart for any smog or auto repair needs as their prices are unbeatable with excellent customer service.

The price for a smog of a diesel was twice as much is other locations. Bummer this was much closer to where I live.

This review is based on what we charged vs. what the opinion of a friend who works on cars. We needed a brake job so we randomly chose this place. The people at the shop were really nice and we felt good about taking it there. But our bill at the end was $450, which others told us was ridiculous for a brake job.I looked at what they charged us. They charged over $100 for a part that on amazon was $20. And this was the case for all the parts. And they charged us for 3 hours labor for something we hear should have taken an hour max.I’m disappointed at the thought that they probably took advantage of us, tho I guess that’s part of the game.I very much hope that in the future, they can charge more reasonable prices for their sake and the for their customers too.

Took my mercedes in for a brake job, they got it done same day, bled my brake fluid and installed a missing bolt where the plastic panel sits under the car since it was flapping around. These guys really took care of my car and did a full inspection as a courtesy. The owner was really nice and made sure I received proper OEM parts as many auto repair centers mostly deal with aftermarket.

I brought in my AMG to SmogMart when a check engine light popped up. I was greeted by a friendly auto tech who checked me in on a timely manner. I was quoted for a diagnostic, and waited about 45 min in the lobby. Afterwards the auto tech took me to my vehicle and showed me exactly what the issue was. I was able to leave my car with them and the very next day I received a call that the vehicle was ready to go. I appreciated the timely responses and the competitive price of the repair. I will be taking my vehicle here from now on, and am grateful for the great service!

Brought my car in for smog and brake lamp inspection. Was told 45mins wait... waited 2 hours to find out my car failed brake lamp inspection due to broken wheel studs, which when I brought my car the studs was ok. Then they tired to charge me $90 per a stud replacement, 3 were broken. I got the the studs repaired at another shop n took it back to get my certificate at smog mart. The same tech inspected my vehicle n damaged the studs again. Dont take your cars there banch of clowns working there. Thank you general manager Ahmad for reaching out and trying to fix the situation.

I brought my vehicle into the facility for an oil leak that my vehicle was suffering. Walking in, I was greeted by a gentleman who checked me in right away. They were able to complete a diagnostic for me in less than 45 min. They took me back to the repair garage, and walked me through exactly what the problem with my car was and what my options were. I needed to replace my oil pan and normally this being an expensive job, SmogMart was able to give me a competitive price. They were able to repair my vehicle and have me back on the road the very next day. I highly recommend SmogMart because the employees spoke to me human to human when normally, going to any other auto repair shop, they make everything seem do or die only wanting to make top dollar off of you. SmogMart displayed great customer service and showed me integrity. I have found my go to place for all things auto repair related!

I brought in my corolla for service since my brake was acting very spongy and wouldnt stop unless its all the way on the floor. Im amazed by the service they provide! They sent me a health report of my vehicle on where it needs maintenance and repair. Having nearly 250k miles I wasnt expecting perfection, but I loved all the pictures that were taken and the walk through of things I should keep an eye on. Didnt have to wait for a crazy amount of time to get my car fixed, and price was very reasonable.

I was given an appointment in the early morning for a simple tune up. Only the spark plugs had to be replaced in the car. Despite calling 2 days ahead and giving the year, model, and make of the car, and having a set appointment, it took them 6 1/2 hours to get the spark plugs I requested to be replaced. I was told to come in at 9am and was told the car would be ready by 1pm. I had to flag down a worker at 2:30pm and the parts were still not in. A bit after 4pm the car was finally fixed. No discounts or refunds were offered. Now, 4 days later, the check engine light is on. Cant imagine what caused that.

This is the only place I take my car when it needs any work done. The staff is friendly and caring. They always go above an beyond by finding the best prices for the parts I need. Not only that, but they do honest work and make sure youre satisfied with your car once theyve completed the job.
