Toms have been working on my car for several years now. The service recommendations have been great and my older vehicle with high miles have had no problems. It runs and sounds great. Being proactive on the maintenance and services helped me avoid unexpected no starts and avoid being stranded on the side of roadways.

I was on my way to work when my car suddenly loss power. After a minor repair attempt, the crew at Toms Automotive determined that I had engine damage. Due to the age of my car I now needed a new car. Not only did they not try to upsell me on additional repairs (Im a woman & wouldnt have known any better), they allowed me to keep my vehicle at their lot until I was able to figure out what to do with it. Great people, great service!!!!!

This is the only shop I would go to if it was not a hassle to drive there with downtown traffic. Last year, the driver side rear window on my PT Cruiser stopped working. The shop I usually go to for routine maintenance only because it is so close to my house wanted about $425 to fix it. Out of the question given my finances. I called Toms. They said that their distributor did not carry the needed parts. They (Gloria I guess) was nice enough to call other shops and said it would cost about $325. A friend recommended an independent mechanic who said he would do it for $150 but I had to get the parts myself. I bought them on eBay for under $100. But I considered whether I could do the job myself. Finally, I called Toms again and asked if they would do the labor. They said they could, for $120. I took them up. Works perfectly. Saved $200.

I took my 04 Jaguar S-type R to these guys for a lack of power/check engine light. They made pretty quick work of diagnosing the issue and their price to repair it was waaaay better than the Jag dealer.Car is still running great and no complaints from me.If youve got a misbehaving Jag, give these guys a ring.

A mechanic I can trust. Fair prices good service and communication and no nickel and diming. Had another chain shop quite repairs and they were $500 more (because they wanted to do something that Toms said was bogus). So so happy that Ive found a place to go back to. A customer for life.

First off: Rick didnt fix my problem. But Im still giving him 5 stars. Why, you ask? Simple: hes honest. He fixed part of my problem - and was upfront that he might not be able to fix it 100% - and the part he fixed, he fixed perfectly, at a fair price. He thought from the beginning he might need to send me to a specialist as this was a weird electrical issue with a kind of car he doesnt usually service, and I am just fine with that (said specialist is fixing that part as we speak).However, I would definitely go back to Rick first in the future. He gives unbiased, good and accurate advice, stands by his estimates, is a nice guy, and works FAST. Ive got no complaints. Theres a reason hes the top-rated auto mechanic in Sacramento, and Yelps 2011 best of.I urge you to use him for your cars problems.

They are great, they clearly and concisely explain any costs to you, even if you are in no way a car person. They even show pictures of broken parts if you ask them to. Fantastic customer service. Seriously, dream mechanics here.

Great work and customer service. No weekend hours, but thats the only complaint - taken care of my ride for years.

Quick and trustworthy repair service. Hue was very good at explaining the issue and provided an accurate estimate on what it took to fix it. We will be taking all our vehicles to Toms from now on.

The guys here are great. They even diagnosed a issue I didnt realize was happening. They advised me to consider looking into the problem when I could (payday) and how to keep my truck going until I could get it fixed.

Went here for a service and was quoted an overpriced amount compared to another mechanic in town. The employees were friendly and informative but not very honest with pricing.

Gloria is a doll, everyone is friendly throughout the shop.
