I was passing through town and my aunt noticed the tread on my tires was very low. She found these guys and we are SO HAPPY she did.Rick’s offered us very kind and helpful service. Amazingly, my computer bag was stolen out of my hotel room in West Sacramento, and somehow it ended up dumped next to the dumpster on Stockton Blvd near Broadway, at this business. The owner looked through my bag, found my contact info, and left me a message saying he was holding on to it for me. When I retrieved it, my laptop and everything else was still inside! Its a minor miracle.I have to give my earnest appreciation to the owner of Ricks Tires. He certainly could have done any number of other things but he reunited me with my computer friend. Ive never been a customer of Ricks, but if I need car work, I know where Im going. I trust this ship to do me right and theyve proven it for sure.

I usually take my car to the dealership for all work. This time, they said they couldnt fix my issue and sent me to a body shop. The body shop said they couldnt fix it either. Ricks had me in and out in 10 minutes. Theyre great problem solvers and really nice!

They told me I needed a new engine for my truck. Got a second opinion never needed a new engine at all. They told me it was going to cost 4K to fix my truck even though it was parked in the same spot it had been towed to and clearly not even looked at. Got a second opinion and it wasn’t even engine related and cost me 1600.

Ricks is now my go to mechanic from here on out. My 2009 Mini was in need of an oil change and they took my car on the spot and finished in a short time. A few week the yellow check engine light came on and they fixed it that day - I was very impressed with their professionalism, experience, honesty and low prices. I will never take my car back to N****O as they can jack up the prices and recommend unneeded repairs. You cant go wrong with Ricks!

I accidentally over-filled the oil in my car, and they were able to take my car in and drain it to the proper level within a half hour of me calling. Also, they only charged a nominal fee where I know another shop might have taken advantage of my position and way over-charged. Trustworthy, fast, freindly, honest. These guys saved my day!

I took my toyota carolla into Ricks and got wonderful service. The staff was professional and clearly explained their recommendations for my situation. I got a lot of work done, and they had my car back to me in less than 24 hours. Im not going anywhere else in future, thanks Ricks!!!

Did my tires as well as can be expected. Called them on the phone and asked a question and they abruptly said they don’t do that and then hung up on me.It’s fine to say no, but to hang up on a customer?!? Nawww, that’s just rude and they’ll never get my business again.

I had already researched what the average for the job was. His quote was right in line with the average. The work was done sooner than quoted both times I have had to have work done. They listened to what I said and then showed me what they found to be making the noises I would hear. They do use premium parts, which can cost more but my life is worth it.

They stay below the other shops but sitt provides good service

I took my car to Ricks Tires and Auto Repair for routine maintenance and they did a wonderful job. Thank you Mukhtar for finding the issues that I wasnt aware of and for doing such a great job. As a result, my car now rides smoother. I would use this shop again and recommend it to others

Everyone was very professional, and helpful, especially Anthony, the mechanic working on my car. Work was done within a reasonable amount of time. Prices are reasonable as well. Overall I am very happy and recommend this place.

This shop is being run under new management and staff for over an year or so. They have re-modeled the shop and added more services. I have been going to this place for few years. My recent visit was about to buy/install new tires. Job was done professionally. Their prices are reasonable too. I would definitely recommend them. Great service!

I hesitate sharing this because I dont want this level of service to be an expectation. Basically, I thought I had a certain problem. Their inspection lead them to the same conclusion and they did the work at a reasonable rate and very quickly. However it turned out that the problem was different than we thought, and much more severe (New engine territory) so they put the old(still good) part back on called me with the information, gave me my keys and didnt charge me a dime. To top it off Im visiting from out of town, and they knew it, and they still treated me like a valued local customer. Bummed about my car but Highly impressed that did what they did.

What great people! I live here in Oak Park and my car wouldnt start so I called this place. They walked me through some simple steps of ways it might start. After trying couple of these steps the car didnt start but the mechanic knew exactly what was wrong. So me and friend got it towed to the shop and i left it there for 2 hours. Thanh gave me a initial quote before i left. I got back and as to what he said was wrong with the car he had fixed the issue and charged me not a penny more for what i was quoted. (Changed the starter).Above all the tire guy Sam took the liberty of plugging a nail in my tire without charging and said he checked all brake pads and that they were good condition for couple more months.I will definitely recommend this place for auto work or even tires! I know i will be back for brake pads!

Great service! My car ran over broken glass and I could hear the tire deflating fast. Drove to this tire store and they stopped what they were doing to repair and I was back on the road in less than 5 minutes. Reasonable price too!

Words dont do justice to the fact that these people are just amazing. Ive been getting ripped off everywhere in sac by so many people but i go to this place and i know i can trust them with my car. changed my radiator three times before from shops near me and paid insane amounts. Its been well over 6 months now and the radiator these guys put in is working amazing. No leaks what so ever! Like i said words dont do justice!

Rick is an honest mechanic, which can be rare. While I was there for an oil change a women had a front headlight out that he repaired for her without charge since she brought a new light with her. Hes usually done earlier than he predicts and does good work. I had a window smashed out and he gave me a really good price compared to other places and did the work quickly.

I came here for an oil change. The guy told me it was only going to take an hour. I came back 2 hours later and it wasn’t finished. When I arrived, he said it’ll take 5 mins....15 mins pass and mentions there’s no mechanic. What shop has one mechanic..??? First and last time coming to this place.

Ok, first off any positive reviews this shop has received are obviously written by the employees. about two months ago I sent my car(02 Mitsubishi galant) in with my wife to have the water pump replaced. no diagnosis needed since my pulley was free spinning and coolant was pouring out from the seal. this dumbass excuse for a technician tells my wife the water pump is good so she sticks her hand under the car like I showed her to reveal yes in fact coolant was leaking from the water pump seal and all he could say was oh. needless to say, the other customers abruptly left. then today I call for a crank-no start diagnosis and the guy says we dont work on Mitsubishis? how could you in under two months suddenly not work on a car that I have a service receipt for? my advice to anybody looking for any repair more complicated than a tire change is take your vehicle elsewhere. even Wal-Mart has better techs than this dump.

These guys do an outstanding job. I went in with what I thought was a major problem. After charging me the going rate for a diagnastic check, the machanic sugested that If I wanted to save a few dollars I could just replace the damaged spark plug wire myself. They were very helpful and friendly. The shop also quoted me some good prices on some addition services in their shop.
