Even though Niello Volvo is the only option for dealer service in the Sacramento area, I would highly recommend them. Rick, my Service Advisor explained the required repairs and was empathetic knowing that the bill wasn’t going to be cheap.The service was performed with the usual Niello Volvo precision and attention to detail. The car was returned clean and ready to go.
Excellent service ! I can’t say enough about the Service Department. The Service Manager, Rob Pane was wonderful in so many ways. His persistence with the insurance claim to replace my cracked windshield was way over and beyond all expectations. He then scheduled the work quickly and provided a courtesy car. The technician did a beautiful job replacing the windshield on my new Volvo with only 2000 miles on it. The inside was immaculate and outside washed. I’m so happy to have this Service Department to take care of my car. If I could, I would give this a ten star rating. Excellent customer service and Excellent work 😊

Brian was great! The test driving, trade-in and financial approval process was seamless. The reason I did not give 5 stars is because I waited well over an hour to complete the paperwork as one person was ahead of me. Id hate to think what happens if theres multiple sells and only one person. :(
One-day annual service took three business days (Wed-Fri) plus the following weekend to complete. To make matters worse, I was not advised that I would not have my car over said weekend. In fact, I was not contacted at all on the Friday before the weekend regarding the status of my vehicle. The final disappointment came on the following Monday when I was able to finally pick-up my vehicle, only to discover that it had not been washed before returning to me (as Niello would do normally) after being in the dealers lot for five days, including one unseasonably rainy evening. Please note that previous to this encounter, all of my service appointments with Niello have been exceptionally good.

Great experience! Has been looking at one of the used cars online and requested info and Justin called me immediately. I told him the key items that were critical for me to even come down to the dealer to view the car. He told me he would look at the car and call me back which he did! Said everything looked good so I made an apt for a couple days later to test drive. Jorgen and Justin both assisted me with looking at the car which I absolutely loved and were no pressure at all. I wasn’t sure if I was going to attempt to purchase just yet but after talking with them I went ahead and saw what I was able to do. Everyone was so nice and courteous and the process was really simple. I have never dealt with a dealership that was so organized and honest. Had a great experience with fixing a recalled issue with the door latches of my car. From the start of the issue (7/14 @430pm), Matt had my car in the shop and fixed within 24h (7/15 by 430pm). I was kept up to date and informed though out. Couldnt have asked for an smoother transition. Will be buying a new Volvo from them in the future.
We are so happy with the sales team that made buying our car possible. All of them were wonderful, personable, and professional. George was with us from the first phone call to driving out in our new Volvo XC60. He was knowledgeable, prompt, curious, and most important kind. He paid attention to all the details and made buying a vehicle a pleasant experience.
Given it was a scheduled visit. Everything was done professionally and efficiently. I would say coming from a mid size city in Central New York where excellent old values still exists in terms of customer service. This place is reminiscent of my old stomping ground Ask for Rick Fuentes when you come for a visit.
Matt always goes “all out” to make sure customer experience is good. Recently, although I had a tight time frame, he squeezed me in for a small recall correction and a more significant maintenance service. By the end of the day most staff had gone home so Matt washed the car himself. You’ll never hear him say “not my job;” he’ll find a way to make the situation better. I’m very pleased with the service at Niello Volvo.
I was excited to see a car they’d just taken in as a trade in that they claimed was in great shape. When I got there I found out it had been smoked in (they did a good job covering the smoke smell, but hadn’t eliminated the obvious cigarette burn in the passengers seat) and that the drivers seat had multiple tears in the leather. There was paint inside the passengers door handle (it scratched off easily) had a few chips in the paint on the hood, was missing a molding on the passengers side, and had some sort of goo in the center console. I wouldn’t have known any of this has they had time to fully detail the car before showing me, so I was really only bummed that they weren’t forward about the tears in the seat and the smoking. The reason I didn’t buy the car though, is because they run a scam at the dealership claiming that they put a $1,295 gos tracking device in the cars as soon as they get to the lot, and simply pass that along to the customer. When I explained that I don’t live in an area with theft, and my insurance covers theft they said they don’t take them out. They offered to discount the car $300, which ch only added $1000 to the price. We all know about tax and licensing fees, but to be told of a bogus $1000 fee after we’d test driven the car just shows the dealer lists things low to get you in to door, and makes up for their low pricing with a $1000 “safety” scam. I searched for gps chips for cars and found quite a few for between $30-75, and as much as $180, but I couldn’t find anything for $1,295… I’m bummed these guys couldn’t be more clear about the car and it’s price before I drove so far to see it.

Super disappointed in the service there now. There used to be reasons I went there to get my car serviced. Now after today’s experience, I won’t be going back even though I have prepurchased services still. I took the day off work (because they are not open on Saturdays anymore), drive an hour and a half, to have a couple things done. The main thing I brought the car in for, that I already prepaid when I bought the car, was unable to be done (which I was informed of after having my car for 5 hours). No discount, no solution, just sorry we don’t have staff to do it, maybe next time you come. I used to brag about how incredible the service was there, but now I wouldn’t refer anyone there.
My XC60 was immediately taken in at the appointment time and I expected my annual service to run about three hours. Worked in the lounge area and enjoyed fast Internet and good coffee. At about two and half hours I was informed the vehicle was finished, washed, and ready to go. Fabulous service, exceeded expectations!
Parking is a little sparse because of all the new vehicles and the test driving of new vehicles. The building is a great showroom. Offices are clean. Staff is really friendly and all about your comfort and patience all the time. As far as car buying experiences go this is in the top of the dealers Ive been to.

The service was fine, but two issues bother me: 1. I had scheduled a routine maintenance on-line, but prior to the appointment the vehicle developed a problem I wanted to have checked out before the appointment. I called numerous times, left voicemails, and no one ever returned my calls. This was during a 10-day time period. Unacceptable. And 2. No loaner? We purchased a new car from Niello for a significant amount of money less than three years ago. I had to rent a car to have transportation while our car was in the shop. Also unacceptable. Lousy customer service that will result in our next vehicle purchase being made elsewhere.

We’re relatively new to Niello, but longtime Volvo owners, having purchased nine cars at Smothers European/Volvo in Santa Rosa over the last few decades. Currently, we have an S90 and a V60 Cross Country, and since we are a bit far from Sonoma County, we’re now with Niello. Just have to say that service advisor Matt Jeffrey is your best advertisement. Charming, honest, attentive, and funny as well. For him alone, we’ll continue to take our business to Niello. Also I should mention KC Ramos in parts, from whom I bought a roof carrier, because he was so friendly and helpful, even though the part was apparently available elsewhere online at a somewhat lower price. My only concern would be Niello’s loaner car policy. I spent a productive day using your internet in a nice quiet spot, but it really was most of the day for my S90 “big” service. An offer of a loaner car, as we always had at Smothers, would have been appropriate. That said, we’ll be back to Niello for Matt Jeffrey.
My volvo broke down and the dealership did not have a service opening for 10 days. Therefore, I was without my car for those 10 days and Niello would not provide a loaner. I spent 1k on a rental. They did pay for a rental the 2days that it was in the shop. They wanted to charge me $475 for a battery, because according to them it was an incorrect battery. However, when I told them that it was the battery that came with the car, they tried to backpedal and said the battery was fine and would not replace it. The final paperwork still showed that the battery does in fact need to be replaced.I was not told how long it would take to fix it. It was at the shop for 4 days. They called me late on a Friday, too late to pick it up. I was without my car for an additional 3 days. When I picked up the car they couldnt provide me with a print out what would be under warranty moving forward. I waited 20 minutes and was given a brochure not a print out of what they will cover.The last time I brought it in it took 2 days for them to replace a rim, for $700.Not a good experience.

Matt and the team at Neillo has taken excellent care of me and my XC60 Recharge R-Design every time I visit. Delivery of my car was rough, but mostly due to a lack of action by another dealership before the car was sent to Neillo for my purchase. Neillos Service Department spent a lot of time working on completing my warranty repair concern as quickly as possible, and I havent had a single issue with the car since. I love this little sleeper sipper, and I will seriously consider the Neillo family for any future luxury vehicle purchase!

Wanted to give a shout-out to Jackie (Jacqueline) Westlake from Niello Volvo in Sacramento. I was in a car crash that totaled my 2019 Toyota. So I was looking for a safer car and had always heard about how safe Volvos were. Anyhow, I sent in an email request for certified pre-owned XCs, and Jackie responded, contacting me via email, and then followed up with phone calls (yes multiple). But in a good way! I set aside time on a Saturday to look at cars with my sister, and Jackie was very accommodating. I thought the XC40 was in my wheelhouse, but after testing it, it felt a little too small. Jackie did a search for inventory of XC60s so I picked one and she quickly got it ready for us. She even turned on the AC to let it cool down in the 100+ temps before we got in for the road test :-) We drove that and told her that somehow, being only 53 that the headrests didnt feel comfortable. My sister suggested why not try the XC90 (which I thought was out of my price range), but Jackie did another search and I saw one that had great features (pano roof!). We test drove that one, and I really loved it. Came back the next and Jackie was very efficient in filling out the paperwork. She was only 1 of a few sales staff, so she literally was RUNNING to coordinate keys, signatures, etc. In speaking with her, shed only been at Niello selling Volvos for just 5 months. I was impressed with her knowledge in the short time there. She is very bright, has a great attitude, and super helpful. I would highly recommend Jackie, and Niello Volvo. It was a great pre-owned buying experience... and I LOVE my new-to-me XC90!!

My wife and I own two Volvos both purchased from Niello Volvo. The service after the sale has been first class.Today after I dropped my daughter off at school I got a flat tire. I replaced the tire with the spare and limped into Niello with a little over an hour before I had to pick up my little girl..Matt and the service team at Niello replaced the unrepairable tire and got me back on the road in time to get my daughter all that and they washed my car too.

I haven’t dealt with sales at this location however I have dealt with service now a few times and I have to say I am thoroughly impressed each and every time!!Rick Fuentes is my service advisor and each time he goes above and beyond. He listens clearly to any concerns with my vehicle and the techs always check into everything, giving me a proper picture of how my car is running anytime it’s in. Amy and Michelle are always extremely pleasant to speak with and do their best to help in terms of scheduling, getting us a loaner car and more. Also, I’ve never once felt that the service department tries to sell me anything I don’t need. When it comes to brakes, tires and other wearables not covered by the warranty, Rick is always clear, and let’s me know how much life is left in each part. He recommends when I will need any replacements ahead of time so that I know in advance. After dealing with many different dealers and their service departments from various brands (Toyota, Mercedes, BMW and Volvo), Niello Volvo and all their employees continues to stand out as one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of servicing my car with! My experience at this location on 5/27/2020 was exceptionally poor. The staff seemed highly uninterested in providing me with service, and did not acknowledge me in any way until I approached them. It’s 100+ degrees outside and we’re in an ongoing pandemic, I knew exactly what car I wanted and had every intention on purchasing that vehicle today. The staff did not take me seriously, nor did they engage with me long enough to know my intentions. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
Took my car in for brake issues, and they tried to charge me $1000 for a simple $100 part installation which wasnt even the problem. After I replaced it myself, I took it back, and then they tried charging me $3000 for another relatively easy fix that only cost me $80 elsewhere. I know dealerships typically charge a little bit more than other places, but the pricing has been rediculous. Service members were nice.
Its been two weeks since the pucharze of my preowned car and I am totally satisfied with thepersonnel, the process and every single aspect of the process. They even found me a lower rate than my credit union. Very friendly, pleasant and professional environment - 5 stars all the way!!!
