I can’t afford to play around with other less experienced shops who forget oil caps or leave rags in your belts. They DO NOT try to get rich off every customer. You sent me away free of charge but you did absolutely nothing. Didn’t even top off fluids. Another auto repair place found several things and gave me peace of mind before getting out on the road. You lost that $$.

From fluid changes to water pump and timing belt replacement to rear subframe work, they always take great care of my cars and me. Prices are fair, and much lower than a dealer. I’ve brought everything from brand new Corvettes to 17 year old Nissans here. Same quality and response every time.

I towed my 2009 MX-5 to Auto Spec after getting the runaround from the dealership. Jeremiah and the team solved the real problem with my car (MAF sensor) and for way cheaper than all the incorrect parts the dealer was trying to throw at my car (fuel pump, instrument cluster?). I really appreciated how fast and accurate their diagnosis was. Saved me a ton of money too!

Mike always takes great care of us. The service here is fast and thorough. Several times they’ve had a situation where they easily could have recommended a more expensive solution or repair for our cars, but instead they’ve recommended only what they actually felt was necessary. Once, Mike quoted me a price for labor, but the actual hours of labor they put into the repair exceeded what he had quoted me. Instead of raising the cost of the repair to accommodate for the extra hours, like most other repair shops would have done, Mike discounted all the labor so the end charge was exactly what he had quoted me. Love this place!

I have been using automotive Specialists for about 9 years. I first started using them for inspections as my vehicles were relatively new and not needing much work. They were always quick to get my inspections done with a smile and get me on my way. I finally started needing repairs and since my inspection experiences were good, I decided to give them a shot at the repairs. I was not disappointed. I always found the work to be reasonably priced and done neatly, in a timely manner, and professionally. Both of the guys in the front are absolutely GREAT. This trip I needed a new starter. Ray took the time to give me all my options. The one I chose was the most expensive because it was original equipment, but I wanted a good part. Ray went out of his way to find a cheaper way. Turns out a dealer re manufactured part is done in the US and carries the same warranty as a new one. Only difference is its $160 cheaper. Ray didnt have to do that for me as I was already sold on the more expensive option, but he did. These guys have my business for as long as I live in this area. I have bever had a bad experience with these guys and would feel comfortable recommending them to anyone.

It is so difficult to find a mechanic you can trust. Several years ago another shop said I needed an expensive repair, went to Auto-Spec after a friend recommended them and they said it was a simple fix. After a couple of experiences like that I will not take my Mazda or Mercedes anywhere else now! Prices are fair, they are always honest and a 24month/24K mile warranty that they will truly stand behind. These guys are great.

I had them complete the 100K mile service on my truck and they came in $500 lower than the dealership. Additionally, they completed the work in one day and even went so far as to straighten out my front sway bar without an extra charge.Ive been recommending them for years, and I will continue to send everyone their way. Ive been taking my 07 Ford F150 and 07 Honda S2000 to JC Auto Spec since I moved to Austin in 2006. They take great care of my vehicles, answer all my questions and explain all needed repairs thoroughly. They also have a courtesy shuttle that can take you to work or back home if its not too far. Theres very little turnover of staff and mechanics at this shop, Ive been seeing the same people the last 10 plus years and everyone is very courteous. One of the most honest shops Ive been, they diagnose problems correctly and only fix things that need to be repaired. I always recommend this shop to all my family and friends!

Disappointed at how a situation was handled. Called to ask about a part that went bad 2 weeks after it was installed (thermostat). Unfortunately it had to be replaced while I was out of town on business. Wanted to know about part warranty. Associate assured me that he would talk with the owner and call me back (2 weeks ago). Weve used Auto Spec since they were called JC Automotive and was hoping for a little better service.

Had my car looked at twice Mike was very helpful let me know the first time the people before had lied to me about something needing to be replaced and told me the second time for a different issue what was wrong how much it would be and suggested I check with the dealership to see if it was covered under warranty. Automotive Specialist is simply the best auto shop in the Round Rock area. I only bring my vehicles to the dealerships for warranty repairs/recalls. Aside from that, I go to Auto Specialist. All the service advisors and the crew there are really nice, honest and very helpful.My latest experience was last week. My Sienna had a broken transmission shiftgear bushing. Other shops I called automatically told me the whole cable assy had to be replaced and that will cost me $500++. Auto Specialist tried their best to find a replacement bushing and they found one and it SAVED ME A LOT, I mean A LOT!I will not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Ray is really very helpful and polite to the customers. Theres a saying first impression is lasting. Rays honesty and helpfulness is what makes me stick to Auto Specialist.
