This rating is long overdue. We had a serious issue with our brake lines on a Saturday afternoon a month ago.That weekend Firestone was super busy with booked appts. They did look it over but no time to work on it. I was able to get it back on Sunday late afternoon. I have always been pleased with their work. And I am glad they were up front with me regarding the lead time (Thanks Nina) I will continue to bring my vehicle here. Thank you Firestone!!!

First time using this location. Had to get more expensive tires than I wanted because he said they couldn’t order others. Got the car back and was being charged an alignment even tho car wasn’t aligned. Lady at the counter was super friendly and removed that charge. Driving home noticed my steering wheel is now tilted while car driving perfectly straight. Will probably bring this back to my old location even though it’s a lot farther for me now

Had an appointment at 10:30am for an oil change, dropped the car off early around 9:45am. Waited all day for a call or at least an updated, called them 20 minutes before they closed at 6pm and get told the car hasn’t been looked at yet, it might be ready between 6:30-7pm. When we questioned the car not being done yet the receptionist was very rude and told us we really didn’t have an appointment on Saturdays they do drop offs only and just guarantee the vehicle would be ready by closing. We’ll that was never stated while booking the “appointment” and 6:30-7pm is after business hours. Unfortunately we had somewhere to be and had to pick up the car at 6pm with NO services being done to it after sitting there since 9:45am. Will not be returning to Firestone fore services!

I’m giving this location a 1 star for lying about there deals. I was told for 160 extra, I would get free alignments, mount and balance for the life time of the car. So I got it because it’s a great deal. 1 year later, they told me that the 160 is just for wheel repair and alignments; not mount and balance. I would recommend you people to record the conversation when getting offered the deal.

The only place I trust to repair my car outside the dealer. This location specifically. Its also a nice change to have knowledgeable ladies to work with.

Be careful on the oil changes with tire rotation. Mine went from $85 five months ago to $115 today and that was supposedly with $15 off. Absolutely a joke. I’ve never seen a $30 increase on an oil change, the Toyota dealership was cheaper.

Dan went the extra mile for excellent customer service!!! Thank you! I researched for over an hour to find the correct tire needed, along with needing installment as soon as possible. Made the appointment on line, received a call to confirm and as we understood it their were a few errors with the online scheduling and availability of the tires. Dan who called me gave suggestions and also validated my frustrations. He said he would make an appointment for me a bit later then my original time, would call me in the morning after 10am to get some resolution to have my tires installed by end of the next day. Dan called me the next morning as promised, with the tires delivered to the location needed and I was able to keep my installation appointment which is this evening. Really appreciated the extra mile Dan took and the excellent service as well! I just moved to the area and will continue to get my car services here as I was seeking out a location for my car.

This is only my second experience and today I came in for my appointment at 5 and I let the man at the desk to finish his paperwork but then the phone rang and he put them on hold and u would think he would take care of me who is in front of him right? Nope picked up the phone and I waited another 5 minutes to discuss tire prices with the person on the phone ! Customer SERVICE is everything people!

Took the car here to get an oil change and have them check a few other things. Get told by Firestone that the brakes and transmission fluid are good. Check the trans fluid when we get home and its empty. Take the squealing brakes to the dealership and are told they need to be replaced. Wont be taking our car here again.

When you bring your car to alignment, they tell you that you have a 12-month warranty, and they do not validate it.

The people here are always friendly and tell you straight how things are. Once in a while you will get someone who tries to upsell you, but its rare. Reasonable prices, ALWAYS quality work. My only warning for you is MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! Even if you have an appointment, you will likely end up waiting a while, but these guys have gotten so busy that you need to make appointments even for an oil change.

They know tires and basics anything outside of that not so much. Nice folk and helpful.

I have been going to this location for several years now. Recently, I am still going through a process of getting dispute over a mess up that was done to my Raptor there. Over $3,000 that was worth in supposedly repairs that made my vehicle worse than before. I kept calling and speaking to staff there that its crazy that I have been coming here for so long and to make me pay that much for repairs. I got to the point where I went to a different place and was told that my truck was inaccurate in repairs. (This is a dealership I went to). I keep getting told by this location to bring in the truck for more repairs but comes out even worse. To the point where my car wasnt functioning anymore and Firestone knew this issue was happening that they had tow truck bring it over to this location which bothered me because they charged me more and more and nothing is being done. When it came down to me wanting to exchange it for a different truck after telling me repairs were done, the dealership devalued it and diagnosed it with it needing major repairs.

Tops for service / repairs good folks.

Went for an oil change. Guess the tech couldnt be bothered for 10 seconds to reset my maintenance light and they said my battery was reading low and priced a new one for $238 with labor. Went to another shop and turns out battery is great and dont need one anytime soon. Be careful with what they try to recommend to you.

Eric Pasquale, Service Manager was extremely helpful with my repair. I was extremely impressed by his can do attitude and going out of his way to accommodate customer needs and making sure that customer is satisfied with the repairs. Ive been going to this store for past 12 years for all my automotive maintenance and repairs needs for my 3 cars and always found the the whole team at this Firestone location extremely helpful & cooperative! I went in for a front end alignment and two matching front tires. I was informed I had to change a left wheel bearing and the tie rods at a considerable additional cost.I would caution anyone intending to have work performed on their vehicleat this facility to get a second opinion. I did and needed only the front end alignment, no expensive extras. The tires were overpriced compared to my second oponion.

They are very professional and get the jobs done. Prices with the maintenance is very well worth the service. I had to get a new holes and thermostat for my truck. Price for the parts and labor was fare. My truck runs better and a/c is blowing cold air again and not over heating. I was there when the guy in the comments below was given an inspection paper describing problems with his vehicle. He went off for no reason at all. Over a piece of paper that just told him what his vehicle needs. Some people are never satisfied with the truth. They have good customer service. I recommend their service to everyone. The guy that’s talking down on them disrespected them and they still kept it professional. George you were out of line!

How wonderful to find an auto care station that is open on Sundays! Nina, Carlos, and Peter were all friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are competitive, and I was able to drop off my car without an appointment and still pick it up far sooner than I even hoped for.I highly recommend this place and would not hesitate to come back again.

I am not from the area and was in town to visit my grandmother in the hospital. I went to Firestone to have my brakes looked at and I got the absolute best care I have ever received in my life! The staff was extremely friendly, honest, and helpful! They were fast and efficient and did not insist on ANY unnecessary repairs! I went in thinking I was going to have to spend hundreds of dollars to get my brakes fixed and they did an inspection for free and told me that there were no emergent repairs needed and assured me that my car was safe to drive! I will never go to another auto care center again! Firestone will forever have my loyalty as a customer and I am incredibly grateful for the wonderful service I received!

Went in for an oil change. A mechanic there named Jose took care of everything quickly and cleanly. Was very satisfied with the job.

The best service and great service rep: Carlos. I went in for lifetime alignment recheck after replacing a tire and the van pulled to right side. I called and asked honest opinion before taking the appointment and assuming I’ll waste their time.Carlos offered to bring in vehicle for recheck and the team fixed it easily rather then me getting additional new tires to align the car.Good team of folks and good customer service!

Had an urgent issue requiring a mechanic to check my alignment and wheels before leaving on a trip at 4:00 pm on a Saturday. Called Round Lake Beach Firestone, told them my issue and requested they help me today so I could feel safe leaving in the morning. As always, they were friendly, very helpful and AGREED to look at my vehicle at 4:30. They adjusted the alignment, checked the wheels and had my car repaired by 5:00 pm even though they were busy and trying to prepare for closing. They are always helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. Not sure why it took 2.5 hrs to put new tires on my car even tho I had an appointment, that was a little ridiculous. It sat in the bay (with the hood open which seemed strange to me cause they were literally only supposed to be putting tires on, but whatever) for an hour before it even went up on the lift, then sat up on the lift for another hour before they finally got around to putting the tires on, an installation that took about 15 mins once they got started. But eventually it was done and done correctly so points for that I guess?

Needed a battery installed in a pinch, they took care of it and didnt charge an outrageous price.

Went to Firestone to get two tires replaced and a vehicle inspection. It was outstanding experience and for a very reasonable price. Overall great customer service there. Ruben assisted me and was very helpful and made the process very easy. He kept me informed on the progress of everything and it was quick and simple. Really good service -- Sofia and Carlos were most helpful, and they managed to squeeze us in to get a new tire mounted (we had a flat and were far from home on a Sunday, and needed to travel the next day). Very appreciative of their good work! Prices were reasonable, no pushy sales nonsense, and just pleasant folks to work with.

Eric is always helpful whenever i come to this location. He goes above and beyond to make sure that his customers are satisfied. He also is very understanding and willing to explain things to you, while working with you. I will definitely recommend this Firestone location because they get you in and out within no time.

Recently I visited Firestone Round Lake Beach location. I was looking for tires for my Honda car. I met Nina Lucas there and she was very helpful. She answered my all questions patiently and give me expert advise about the tires. This was my first visit to Firestone. Their customer service is very good.

Came in to get tires changed out for a new set. I was helped by Justin. Very professional and respectful. A bit pricey but its because of good previous reviews and good customer service that i didnt go to Pep Boys across the street. Keep up the good work. Will be back in a few months for my wifes tires.

Been using the Firestone in Round Lake Beach for a few years now. Have not had a bad experience there yet. Knowledgeable staff and courteous service on board at all times! Technicians like Carl and Casey are a wonderful asset, Mike Caputo and Matt working the counters are always friendly and accommodating! Went in for an inspection on my vehicle. Appointment was at 1:00, vehicle didnt get to a bay till 1:25. Was told the inspection was going to take 45 minutes, ended up taking nearly 2.5 hours. Partially due to all of the technicions taking their lunch at the same time. I understand lunches need to happen, but maybe a staggered lunch schedule would be better. Also the techs stood around for at least 20 minutes before returning to work. One of the positives I can see is the price for my inspection, and the waiting room is very good with comfortable chairs. A good thing too because you might be there a while.

This place was great we walked in last minute and they took us in with out appointment on Sunday and were able to finish the job at the end of the day thank you for fixing my tires and the oil change my vehicle runs like new

Great service and smart mechanics. We had a noise that was difficult to pin point but the guys took their time, found the issue and fixed the problem in a timely manner for a good price.

They dont repair things, they replace things. Good place for front end alignment but steer clear of their advice. They love to sell you on needing new parts. They told me I needed front brake pad that werent even 3 weeks old.

Round Lake Beach location has excellent customer service. There managers are understanding and listen to concerns without pressure. And all service technicians are very friendly and offer advice about services due with vehicles.

I had a alternator belt break and went here for repair, and im eating the firestine chain good even though the belt came off a week later, because I brought car ti another firestone, and the put another one on. They honor thier warantee

I am a loyal customer for life. I had an expensive repair in January for a check engine light and since then I had to return 4 different times for things either related to the check engine light or some small fix and all those Ive been able to get in quickly and they didnt charge me. I am grateful I found them!!!

I wouldnt recommend using this location at all. You make a appointment for Sumday at noon 4 days on advance and arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment and are told that it will be 1 1/2 hour wait.You might as well just show up without an appointment and have the same wait, and what really stinks here when you mention this to the staff they couldnt care less that you have an appointment. Customer service at its finest.

I went there based on a recommendation from a friend and Im glad I did. Everyone acted professionally and the place was clean and well organized. I felt the work was done right and at a reasonable price.

Took care of my fleet vehicle. Oil change and Tire rotation. Work took about 45-50 minutes to complete. Would advise an appointment before service so you dont have to wait as long. Nice clean facilities.

My wife was at Great America with my 15 and 11 yr children, when they came to car notice tire was flat. She and kids removed tire and got a ride to firestone to have it repaired. A worker name Justin told her we close in ten minutes he could make her appointment for fist thing in morning. My wife explained we live 1 1/2 south and need to get home, he said sorry but we close in ten minutes. Needless to say they left with only to stop at Pep Boys who were closing also but fixed tire no problem for $20. I will now drive the 1 1/2 north to spend $1000.00 for 4 new tires..I hope the manager/ owner reads this and you teach Justin better customer care because I will never take anything to Firestone again.

I just had a flat tire. I stopped to change my tire by the Starbucks and as I started jacking my car up a few of them men came over with tools and a lift. Then helped to find out where the flat was. One of the gentlemen said we are closed right now but if youd like we can do a quick change and have you on your way with out having to use the spare. Great service even though I didnt use them. They were very helpful and got me back on the road very quickly. Thank you guys.

Good guys, also honest people. The thing though is that they take way to long just to fix a flat tire. I understand that if its a radiator,generator, or anything big to repair takes couple of hours to fix. But a flat tire? It took them four hours just to repair one thing that i wanted them to fix... But like I said before, their really good honest people.

Have been using their services for several years now. Bought lifetime alignment from them and I am happy with it. Mostly they do tire related work for me - alignment, tire installation and balancing, valve replacement. They also did some suspension work for me. Everything was fine.

Dont know if they are slow or full of it. I called around 2 and was told to come in for a fleet oil change. I get there by 4. Nobody remembered talking to me. Then they told me the bay needed was locked. Just wasted my afternoon after a hard day driving. Sad

Update on 12/28: after seeing and hearing about my dissatisfaction, the manager / shop charged me NOTHING for the repairs! They had called and stated they had some resolution for me, and honestly I was expecting a few coupons or such, but never expected them to pick up the entire tab. Absolutely amazing customer service on this follow up, and the shop / staff is to be praised for their concern about customers and their satisfaction. Thank you!******************************One of the worst experiences of my life regarding car repairs happened here. I had a brake line leaking, so only wanted the one brake line replaced. Estimates on line ranged from 100 to 300 dollars, so I took a chance and had the car towed there. They called me the next day with an estimate of almost $1300 dollars!!! After picking my jaw up from the floor, they claimed they had to replace the calipers on both rear brakes as the bleeder line screw was frozen, the rotors and pads on both back !!brakes, and BOTH sides of the fuel line!!I do some car repair, and I have never run into a screw so badly frozen that some penetrating oil and time and patience wont ultimately break. But they can be tough, and Ill give them the benefit of the doubt on this one.They then stated that in addition to the calipers, they have to replace the rotors AND the pads for insurance purposes. I told them I replaced both the pads and rotors myself less than 10,000 miles ago, and that this requirement was ridiculous. After substantial arguing, they agreed to keep the old ones if I signed a waiver, which I did. What was really suspect is that at first, they told me the parts had to be replaced due to wear, and I know no brake pad or rotor wears out after less than 10,000 miles. When I talked to them at the store, they then changed their tune to the insurance reasons for needing to change the parts! So, which was it??I then asked why BOTH sides of the brake lines to the rear had to be replaced, when only one side was leaking? He stated something about a T connection which feeds both sides, but did not go into any further detail. I know for a fact, only one side needs to be replaced.In summary, this place will end up replacing your entire car if you go in for any simple service, and claim they have to do all this unnecessary replacement for nebulous reasons like insurance purposes. They also seem unable or unwilling to deal with the most basic of issues one encounters when working on an old car (like stuck screws), and instead claim they have to replace the whole part the screw sits on. This is completely unwarranted, and they either need to 1) make sure these policies are understood BEFORE they start working on your car, or 2) give you the option to sign a waiver to keep the old parts.Even after all the negotiating and arguing, it still cost close to $1000 for a simple brake line repair. These people are not mechanics, they are parts replacers. My advice would be to go somewhere else. No, Im not a professional mechanic, but I do most of my own car work, and know enough to know this price was outrageous for what was actually wrong. If anyone from Firestone reads this, please contact me, as I intent to file a complaint with the BBB on this one if I dont hear anything back.

I recently had to have my tires rotated and front headlight changed, and decided to wait at the Starbucks next door. The estimated wait was an hour. They were done in half that time. The people here are always polite and professional. Ive purchased tires here, done tire rotations, oil changes, etc. If you decide to leave your car instead of waiting, they will actually call you when its done, unlike other places!

Went there to get a free brake estimate, they lifted the car, told me that the front pads and rotors needed immediate replacement. They printed out the estimate which i still have, stating the above . I decided to do the brakes and rotors on my own, bought the parts and i had a friend help me replace them and it turns out that my” immediate brake pad and rotor replacement “ were not necessary . The pads were at 50% and the rotors completely fine . I have pictures . Thats what u get when u go for a free estimate people that are trying to RIP YOU OFF and take your HARD EARNED MONEY. DONT TRUST THIS SHOP, ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION!

This my go to fix It shop. They are honest and competitively priced. Their lifetime alignment is a no brainer. The staff are always friendly!

This is by far my favorite car shop, the people here are always helpfully and nice. If I have a problem, they figure it out and fix it without issue, but they arent pushy about it either. If I dont want something done they give me a quote and send me on my way.

I spoke with Carlos Cortez. He was extremely helpful and held true when I came into the shop. This place was one of the friendliest places I have ever been to. I will be back.

Compare with Discount Tires before making a purchase. If you want to get a tire repaired on a Sunday they will do it for you but its going to cost you a little over $40. Wait till Monday if you could and spend around half that amount just about anywhere.

Got robbed from this place, I went in for a full coolant flush because I had the original factory coolant which is clearly pink/orange and mixed in Prestone green universal coolant by mistake into the radiator. I asked for the Dexcool coolant after they “flushed” out the system, I pick up my car to find that it has the same exact coolant I left it there with. They claim they used a “universal” coolant and the whole car has the same coolant in it and i believed them. 2 weeks later I find that the reservoir that had the green “universal” coolant had turned back into the original orange/pink coolant, needless to say I went back to ask how is this possible if they “flushed” the entire system. They give me a BS answer saying that the neon green coolant was changed to orange because the orange was a dominant color! .. I now have to do the work that they were too lazy to do. I will even record me doing the procedure for more evidence .. my final say is avoid these scammers and take your work to more trustworthy mechanics.

If theyre not working on your car, theyre trying to sell you something. Dont trust what they tell you when it comes to whats wrong with your car. The only thing theyre good for is labor on things that youve identified somewhere else.

They tried to sell a 400.00 part I didnt need replaced a starter that wasnt bad when I took it in and now the cars dead on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck wish wed gone anywhere else. If you value your vehicle avoid these people like the plague. They used to have good people but not anymore!

About 5-6 months back I went in for a break inspection which turned out to be my rotors and breaks were unevenly worn. They told me I would need new break pads and rotors so I told them to do the job. Today I brought my car to a different shop because I had the same problems I was having before and it turns out that Firestone did not replace my rotors. The shop my car is at now is 100% certain that my rotors have not been changed in a long time. These guys are not trustworthy in my book and I will not be returning to any Firestone location in the foreseeable future. I would recommend Londanos in Round Lake as that is a shop that I can trust.

I took my jeep for an alignment and I had a scheduled an appointment for.They took it back without issue.Well after 30 minutes they proceeded to come and let me know a bunch of tie rod ends were bad.I work in autoparts so I wasnt going to pay the up charge on parts.I told them Ill get the lifetime alignment and replace the parts later on my own accord.I just told them to get the alignment as close as possible just for peace of mind.They said sure no issue.Took it back for another 15 minutes then finally they said they couldnt do an alignment on my vehicle because the clamps wouldnt work on my rims.So you mean after an hour and pitching a sale to me you couldnt even do the alignment?.Sounds to me like they were upset they couldnt make a ton of money off of me.Thanks for nothing.For sure will be reporting this to the better business bureau.Sad how you get treated these days.

My girlfriend had her tires rotated at this shop and 10 minutes after she left she had a flat....Nice...when she called them for an explanation or help, they basically said...good luck...Even Nicer...

I paid a little over $700 for new brake pads and rotors here only to have them start squeaking again 1,000 miles later. Since the work was warrantied I took the car back and was told we put something a little better on this time (because they put on junk the first time??). Now 5,000 miles later I took my car into another garage for a strange noise - the culprit was the brake pads and rotors. Which are now being replaced again, but this time for less than half the price Firestone charged. How is it I can go 50k miles on one set of brakes until this place touched my car?? Ill never go back.
