I just went here yesterday to get a blow out and style.There was only 1 stylist. I have been getting my hair blowed out for years by different people in all seasons; even in humid weather. I have natural 4c hair. NEVER has my hair frizzed up hours later. After the stylist blew my hair out with a blow dryer I noticed that my hair was stiff compared to when other stylists blow out my hair. There was no movement in my hair at all and when other professional stylists blow out my hair there’s movement....but I thought you know what let me give her a chance.....maybe when she flat irons my hair it will be fine. She flat ironed my hair and it was still stiff. No body or movement. I was nice and pretended like I liked it but I didn’t. It looked like I could have done it. She was nice but I paid her to blow out my hair and a part of good customer service is how you treat people but it’s also the quality of how you do the customer’s hair. I came home and looked in the mirror and my hair was already starting to frizz up. That was the WORST blow out and style that I have EVER received from a professional. I remember once I even went to the Empire beauty school here in Ga and even THEY do a better job than what she did. If I could take my tip back I would. I am still upset and very dissatisfied with how my hair came out. I am NEVER coming here again.

I’ve been to this salon a couple times, but my experience with Lisa has been unmatched! She is absolutely amazing. I have finally found a hair stylist that listens and styles my hair exactly how I want it. Her cutting and styling skills are on point. If you’re looking for a versatile stylist that can do all types of hair, Lisa is the person to see!

Great Service!!! Theres a new stylist there who is absolutely amazing. I dont know how they were lucky enough to find her but she is the bomb. Her name is Lisa and she can cut, curl, silk press and style!!! She did my hair and had great conversation had me laughing and it felt like I had known her for a long time.. very personable. I will definitely be seeing her again.

I needed my hair wash and ends trim while out of town. I saw Smart Style in the local Walmart and decided to give it a try. My stylist name was Lisa. Fortunately for me, shes been a cosmetologist for over 20 years and you could tell because she knew her stuff! Shes friendly, got me out of there in a reasonable time and I absolutely loved my hair!Thanks Lisa!

Shawntelle did a great job on my hair, was very friendly and made me feel welcome. I was just passing through Roswell on holiday and needed a freshen up. I got partial highlights, cut and tone. I had a bit of green build up from swimming over the past few days and she did her best to remove almost all of it. She did it exactly how I wanted it. Feels and looks great.

Lisa did an excellent job on my hair, she is very personable and I will be back.

Im not going to give it four stars because they have the potential to do better. If they want you to make an appointment- they should take the walk ins welcome sign down. Also paying $10 extra because my hair goes past my shoulders is a bit much. All they were doing was shampoo and trim. I decided to go on and get a blow out- why didnt they use the round brush and regular blow dryer. I dont like having to tell someone how to do their job. I am going to try again though.

I just moved to GA from Clarksville TN I happened to walk in Walmart just for some shopping passed by the beauty shop saw a young lady cutting someone’s hair, I proceeded to walk in just to ask if she knew how to taper the back of my hair she said yes and said her name was Lisa Burton.I asked how would I have to wait she said about 19 minutes so I waited and I’m very picky about my hair she cut my hair perfectly like my barber did in TN. Needless to say I’ve gone to her several times and I’ve been nothing but pleased with Lisa, she’s been very professional and is a great stylist. I’m so happy that I walked into this Walmart.If you want someone that will focus on your hair and take good care of it I recommend anyone to go visit Smart style in Walmart on Mansell Rd ask for Ms. Lisa Burton.Excellent service

This was my first visit and wont be my last. Ms. Vee is a miracle worker, my hair was desperate for some tlc. Her and the other stylists are so welcoming, I felt completely comfortable like Ive known them forever. I will be returning 😎.

Very unprofessional (and rude) employees. I made an appointment for my daughter at 11:00AM with a stylist named Ashley. We arrived at 10:55AM and met with Ashley whose first question was WHO gave you this appointment? She followed with Youll have to wait, Im getting ready to start on my 10:30 client. She then proceeded to chit chat with her other client (who appeared to be a close friend) for an additional 10 minutes before even getting started on her hair. Rather than creating a scene, we just left. I attempted to speak with management about our experience at Mansell but found out the Roswell location has recently become a franchise. Do not expect any accountability, professionalism, or customer service at this location. I wish I had read the reviews before making an appointment.

Colored Moms hair wrong and had to Re-Do

I called in today to see how much it would cost to get my hair straighten and the first thing the lad asked me was is my hair natural. i gladly said yes!. She then told me okay itll be $42. I asked her how much it would be if my hair was not natural (bc it seemed weird to ask that question at a salon, as if it made a difference) and she said $22. I then asked why was there a price difference and such a high difference. She said she didnt know probably bc of the texture of the hair. itll take longer and more skill to straighten your hair. I am completely outraged at the racism that this store and apparently all Walmart salons have! Hair is Hair! if you have a licence to do hair then it really shouldnt matter what the texture is because the process is the same!!

This place has terrible customer service. I went there last year and i wanted my hair cut a little bit more shorter. The lady told me that it would be price of two hair cut. This was while she was chatting with her friend while giving me a hair cut. I mean hello, im paying you to focus on my head so it would have been nice if she paid attention to cutting my hair instead. I wanted to give this place another try so i went in there again last month and i was charged extra because it took them two tries to get my hair to how i looked even though i repeatedly mentioned that i wanted more shorter and even showed my old picture from a different cut on how i wanted to look. That wasnt the worst part. I told the lady to follow my natural neck line but she left that as is. It was until i went for a beard trim later at a different place that they showed me that she completely left my neck line as is. Because im a nice guy I even tipped them both times regardless of the trouble I had with them each time. I will never go to this place again and I suggest you dont either. You would be paying a few extra bucks but atleast they wont act like they hate their job.

After asking for a shampoo, end trim, and blowout, and being told the cost for that was $31.95, I was told today at this location that the Shampoo, cut, and full style for $31.95 is not for African American women with natural hair. (This was told to me after she shampooed, cut, and blowDRIED my hair) Apparently, for a shampoo, cut, and style, for AA women it would be $60+. She told me that the blowdrying was considered as the style and if I wanted my hair straight it would typically be $60+. This isnt the first time Id been to Smart Style, and Ive never paid more than $40 to get my hair done. The stylist is new and was left alone, and she seemed like she didnt want to work. Her attitude was disgusting and between that and the discriminatory pricing I will never return.
