From taking a long break from martial arts I was nervous when I came back to do it again, but after a few weeks at Legend Martial Arts I learned so much from good etiquette to being able to protect myself. Going to Legend brings a smile to me and everyone I meet, no matter the skill level people always enjoy coming there. I have never seen a person not want to go to Legend yet.

Im very glad that I selected this studio 5 years before among all the other studios. Master Kim created a friendly and family atmosphere with an excellent curriculum. I like the way he approaches each kid with their individual ability. I adore his Leadership class because thats where kids will learn their responsibilities and respect towards fellowship and taking care of the environment. It is a great school and plays a vital role to tune my girls in their young age. Awesome MARTIAL ART Studio!!!

Legend Martial Arts is unlike any other studios out there. I have tried a few other places but none could get my kids onto their mats. Master Kim has opened so many doors for my kids. After a few classes with Master Kim I was able to take them to swimming, piano, and tennis.I have two kids. One girl whom started at 7yrs old and one boy that started at 6 yrs. old. They are super quiet, shy, anxious, and uncoordinated. All the other places we have gone to they just would sit and cry. My son is so anxious that he throws up very easily but master Kim and his wife Mrs. Tori assured me that they could try a private lesson at first and we could work from there. First time we showed up they cried but somehow with Master Kim’s encouragement they got on the mats right away while crying and did what he told them. After a few minutes their anxiety went away and they started to enjoy what Master Kim was teaching them.After the first private lesson, they transitioned into group lessons wonderfully. When they first started they scream like little kittens, now I’m so surprised at how loud they can be. They are much more opened to taking other extra curricular activities. They are coordinated, stronger then ever, more disciplined and self motivated. They first started at 2 to 3 days a week and eventually wanted to go 5 days and sometimes even 6 days a week. There were days they didn’t want to go but because I already paid I wanted to get my moneys worth and made them go anyways 😂 They always tell me at the end that they were glad I made them go since they felt great after their workout. They have learned so much at Legends. They learned sparring, nunchuks, bo staff, and acrobatics. When they first started it was their dream to just work towards a black belt and then stop. Now that they just got their black belt they love the camaraderie environment that Legend Martial Arts has provided that they can’t wait to work towards their second strip. We highly recommend this studio. Master Kim, Mrs. Tori, and Master Hall has made great strides with my kids and I’m sure they can help yours too!

Legend Martial Arts has been like our second home for the last 6 years. Our journey began in 2014 when we moved to Roseville. We enrolled the kids at this place for taekwondo and it has been a great experience and a wonderful journey since. Master Kim is an excellent teacher and a hard task master. He is technically very sound and expects the same from his students. The kids train rigorously and Master Kim is willing to put in the efforts until the kids get it correct and the results show. My kids have attended a lot of competitions throughout the state over the years and have always done great. The kids love going to class to train and have fun with their friends. Master Kim puts in a lot of effort into every student and helps them overcome their fears and anxiety. My kids have been learning taekwondo, kickboxing, acrobatics and various other forms for martial arts at Legend. The kids received their black belts two years ago and now are training towards getting their 2nd degree black belts. Master Kim is also very strong on teaching the kids to be leaders and mentors to the younger students who are just starting at Legend. My kids have become confident, respectful individuals thanks to Master Kim promoting leadership and building their confidence. Master Kim always makes learning exciting for the kids and engages them in everything. Legend is an outstanding place for kids to learn martial arts in their formative years and channel their energy. It teaches focus, discipline, confidence and respect along with martial arts. The place offers everything the kids need and the parents want.

We came from another martial arts school, and I have to say, and after 1 year, our son is really learning so much more here. They all work really hard, and his behavior in class is much better - no chatting or goofing off. Master Kim finds a way to bring out the best in his students.

Wow, where to begin. We have been with Master Kim for 5 years. Both of my kids are now black belt and are still very excited to continue their martial art journey with Legend. The level of caring and dedication from Master Kim is second to none. Master Kim is funny and also very tuff at the same time. The kids have so much respect for him as a master. My daughter has spent the last four years here to get her black belt. We started because she needed less time doing video games and more activity in her life. Learning Taekwondo from Master Kim has certainly given her more activity, and a lot more. She takes responsibility for her schooling and helps around the house now too. All we see are positive results here in her character development. She still goes, as she loves to help the younger students develop their skills.

Legend Martial Arts is more than a studio that gives my son an extracurricular activity. It is a second home and a family. The masters do a wonderful job of motivating each student to do their best at their training and encourage respect at the studio, home, school, and beyond. I appreciate how they motivate students to learn at their own pace, but also instill a sense of teamwork. My son has had the opportunity to learn forms, kicks, sparring, weapons and acrobatics. He has gone on to compete and perform, which has built a lot of character. Its not just about getting the next belt. And although getting his black belt is his ultimate goal, there is much more at Legend: adult classes, family classes, parent night out, birthday parties, leadership club and day camps. My oldest son has been attending Legends for approximately 6 years. We have tried other places but never have found the equal to Master Kims ability to create respect with a atmosphere of fun and exercise that my kids love. I have two boys attending now and I love to see how they progress in other aspects of their lives from attending. Master Kim is truly one of those people who is a joy to be around and is an outstanding teacher.

I cant say enough good things about working with Master Kim, and Master Hall here at Legends Martial arts. We tried 4 chain martial arts studios before our trial lesson with Master Kim. His teaching ability, martial arts knowledge, and individual attention to each child is unmatched to our other experiences. He also has an incredible balance of humor and high expectations that drives his students with positive motivation. My 8 year old son absolutely loves going to TKD. In the beginning, I was just hoping he would enjoy attending practice 1-2 times a week....its been years and he is still asking to go to practice 6 days a week. The masters do a great job of meeting the kids where they are and building on their individual strengths. They are challenged to be a better person, a strong athlete, and to give back to those they come in contact with. The classes are always different so the kids are never bored. I cant imagine going anywhere else!

We love Legend Martial Arts! Our son has been a student for over three years. The masters keep the kids motivated to try their best both physically and emotionally. She has learned and excelled so much from her instructor Master Kim. My daughter not only mastered pomsee and sparring but also learned martial arts weapons and acrobatics. He focuses on precision and techniques which can be seen in their many demonstrations at various public venues. Master Kim and Master Hall are the most influential teachers I have ever had. I’ve been training at Legend for about four and a half years now, and I wouldn’t trade those years for anything. The fun but focused family studio is a great environment to train in, and I would definitely recommend training with them if you are looking to join. There is a great leadership team who helps the masters out with teaching the classes, individually helping students, and they will always be there to help your children. My son started attending Legend Martial Arts only a few months ago, but he has grown so much. He has improved at home as much as he has improved in class. Master Kim, Master Hall and the leadership team are great with the students, with a balance of instruction, discipline and fun.

Master Kim is a first rate instructor. Works me out hard, pushes me and has a great sense of humor. He also is great with my twin girls; hes increased their focus, listening skills and respect for their parents. He has also shown that with hard work you can earn stripes on your belt, that’s why one of my daughter has a yellow stripe and the other is now trying harder to get one.

Legends Martial Arts is a great place for everyone from ages 5 to 70. Master Kim is very nice he teaches all of the skills in a fun and friendly environment. Master Kim and his Wife Mrs.Tory are amazing people and their cute little son. If youre look for a place to work out and learn taekwondo technique, its the perfect place.

Legend Martial Arts is an awesome place to train at for children and adults. Mr. Kim is a great teacher and makes you want to push yourself to be your best. Whether you just want to get back into shape, start a new hobby or practice Taekwondo competitively, it is a great place to go. He also teaches children to have respect and anti-bullying tips. I have been going for a few weeks now and I would recommend this place to everyone.

Ive been taking my 7 yr old daughter here for almost a year and I am beyond thrilled with master Kims teaching techniques and the results we are seeing. In fact our family had planned to move but one large factor that made us stay here was that we wanted our daughter to continue learning Taekwondo with master Kim and his awesome team. He is such a great example to the children. My daughter who was once extremely shy, is now outgoing and her teachers say she is a leader in her class. Legend Martial Arts is a great place for both children and adults to take Taekwondo and be physically active. Mr. Kim is very helpful by teaching the children first hand about self defense and bullying. Coming from another taekwondo school out of state I began the search for a new school to continue my training, it didn’t take me long to realize that Master Kim’s school and talent was one of a kind. I had visited multiple other taekwondo schools but none could match Master Kim’s talent and quality of instruction. Being used to training in Olympic style sparring I was very picky about I wanted to train under, and after meeting with several other instructors Master Kim’s kindness and courtesy surpassed them all. Not to mention he remains physically able to demonstrate how to properly perform a movement and do amazing aerial tricks AND knows how to use and teach an assortment of different weapons. Which is incredibly rare among Master’s in taekwondo, Master Kim not only teaches but also joins in on the adult classes during sparring, grappling, and kicking. I’ve been in taekwondo for nearly 6 years and have visited over 10+ schools and sparred with literally a 100+ students/competitors including some collegiate athletes and Olympic finalists, believe me when I say the quality of instruction Master Kim provides for his students is second to none. As for those who are contemplating starting taekwondo for themselves or their children, it’s never too late nor too early to start, all skill levels are accommodated and trained accordingly. I highly recommend those interested to inquire further, stop by and witness firsthand what taekwondo is about and to meet with Master Kim and the other instructors there.
