We have been with Custom Comfort since the Labor Day Floods of 2016. Our AC went out and no one was traveling or working.Custom Comfort got us cooled off and have been maintaining our unit since then. Today Daniel T, was no exception to the level of service we have come to expect from Custom Comfort, small business courtesy with big business professionalism. We are very happy customers.

Custom comfort was scheduled to come to my property to service a unit they did not install. The day of the service, I was there to meet the technician. They called me and said they could not come because they don’t service units they didn’t install. I was not upset with their policy, but they could have told me that when I scheduled instead of making me wait a week and then calling the day of. Find someone else.
Technician Edwin Cruz was on time for our annual A/C routine maintenance for our home. Mr. Cruz was very professional and had all the appropriate personal protective equipment not only to do the routine maintenance and for COVID protocol. Mr. Cruz was able to answer our questions that we had and make cost effective recommendations that we accepted. We felt his service was thorough and did not rush the job. He spent almost three hours in checking all points on our system. We were very pleased with the service Mr Cruz provided.
Custom Comfort does good work: scheduling, arriving within agreed time window, calling you when in transit to your location with an estimated arrival time, and carrying out the work.Yesterdays work was a winter heating systems check under the Gold Club Membership. The Tech (Edwin) took about an hour checking out the system, correcting a couple minor issues, making a couple of observations/recommendations. Professional and helpful. Nice job.
Please do not use this company for AC. They are terrible on appt. or maintances, replacing parts. They lie flat at you. Please do not use this Company. I have used Custom Comfort for roughly 8 years. My first experience with them was to fix a terrible install of two new units by another company. Several companies refused to help me at the time. I have used them since. They have always performed well. The guys sent to me have all been knowledgeable and very professional not to mention very nice and polite. A wonderful young man (Daniel) was here today to do my annual heater inspection. He discovered a small problem that was fixed quickly and easily. I can say with certainty that many companies would have either not discovered it and let the small issue turn into a huge issue later or would have made a big deal about the issue now and would have charged me for a lot of work that was not really necessary. I will also say that my warranty claims over the years have been painless for me. They have handled everything for me. I am pretty sure I will use them for many years to come!
EDWIN DID A VERY THOROUGH JOB INSPECTING MY PACKAGE UNIT. HE ALSO TESTED FOR CARBON MONOXIDE EMISSIONS INSIDE THE HOUSE AS THE HEATER WAS RUNNING! I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE! THANK YOU!

Called out mid morning and technician was at residence around 2:30 PM. We talked about the problem and the tech had the heating unit issue diagnosed and correct in less than 45 minutes.Tech was friendly and explained in detail the issue and the solution.Job well done.
I would like to thank technician Edwin Cruz for his work. He was on time and very professional. He took care to keep the work area clean. He wore his facemask at all times. He was very knowledgeable and gave me a couple of suggestions to keep our system functioning properly.
The ac was running nonstop and not cooling. I called and the technicians came that evening and said there would be a fee to diagnose but we had just paid $200.00 to have the maintenance and a new thermostat installed because the old one was no longer working. He asked us if we needed more freeon?!! How do I know?! We have been diligent in paying for maintenance done twice a year. Third visit the technicians left the outside air conditioner sitting crooked on the slab. The phone applications for the thermostat no longer works. We were charged $700.00 for the repair. Supposedly this was under warranty. They said the $700.00 was for freeon!!!! Must be some pretty expensive freeon. I had also asked the representative on the phone for a call back from the owner and she said they would call me that evening, Im still waiting!! Needless to say, we do not feel valued and are not happy Custom Comfort customers.5/6/21 - the owner called me and sent a technician out. The thermostat started working 2 days ago. Colt came out and made adjustments and offered 1 year of Gold Service agreement. We are very pleased with the promptness and professionalism of the company taking care of our problem. Colt said the owner is waiting for a reply from Lennox about our $700.00 fee. Overall, we would definitely recommend using Custom Comfort for all of our HVAC future needs. We just recently had them to install a split system for our garage/mancave and were very pleased.Thank you

We recently had Custom Comfort Air replace our older Lennox unit with a new Lennox A/C & Heating system. From the time of initial contact to the installation, they have been very professional, friendly and polite in our dealings. The installation team was on time, careful in our home and did a great job.Thanks to the owners and their staff for their help. They delivered!D. S.
Our air conditioner had been going out slowly and it finally wouldnt meet the set point, it was running 24/7 and our electric bill was 2X normal. My wife called Custom Comfort and they showed up promptly. The tech then proceeded to tell my wife that we needed a whole new system and it would cost ~$10,000. Ummm NO! As an added bonus, we got to pay a $99 service call for this outrageous quote. We ended up using 3rd Coast out of Needville. They arrived the same afternoon and located the leak. They charged the system with enough coolant to get us by for a few days while they ordered the necessary parts. I would not recommend Custom Comfort to anyone. They saw a woman without AC and thought they would take advantage of the situation.After reading the owners response I will say that when I got home the only written estimate was for a whole new system. No written estimates for any other options. My wife was given the impression that a whole new system was needed and I will stand by my review above. 3rd Coast had the part in three days and the system is now in working order for a fraction of the price of a new system.
Custom comfort is contracted through Costco, that’s a huge plus. We got two new complete systems through custom comfort- they are amazing! Miguel explained everything and the install crew did an amazing job in only one day! Nichole has been awesome through the paperwork. We recommend them to everyone we know!!
Great experience with this company. Price was competitive and installation of new unit was super professional and fast. If Costco chose Custom Comfort Air you have nothing to worry about. My father has used Custom Comfort Air for years, so when our AC started to smell funny I knew who to call!!! We were able to get in same day, our tech Tracy was on time, appeared knowledgeable, but did come off kind of short. I am editing this review 4 days later because after 2 1/2yrs of no issues are AC is now broken. We got a second opinion from a trusted source and the second opinion has refuted several of the recommendations in the invoice we received from Tracy. Tracy had basically told us everything about our system was wrong and seemed annoyed. Maybe he felt like we were wasting his time or he was having a bad day? My husband is a contract worker as well, so he was kind of put off by his attitude also. Im sorry, but we will not be using in the future.
We had our furnace quit working on us right as a cold front was about to come in. After calling a couple other companies (who said they couldn’t touch my furnace because it was over 10 years old and that I would just need to get a new one) I called Comfort Air. They were really responsive and professional and had someone come out that day to take a look. Tracey did the actual repair, he was very professional and explained what had happened and what part he would be installing to fix the issue. From start to finish, I think he had it all figured out and the part replaced within an hour. I was super impressed and if I ever need another repair, they will be the first people I call.
If you want the job done correctly, go with custom comfort air. I have a unit that I purchased from another company for 11,000. Within 2yrs. We had to have one of their techs come out each summer. This final time our unit went out and the company we got our unit from told us they couldnt get a tech out for a week, keep in mind our unit still has warranty. We called custom comfort, and in 1 day they were able to order the part and install it!! Jesus our tech was very informative and answered all questions we had. I was very impressed by the knowledge he has with units. We are now custom comfort customers!! The other company called, I didnt even bother picking up. Thankyou Custom comfort.
I was lured to use Custom Comfort because of Costco and the rewards associated with it.This was a mistake. The only positive thing I can say is that they were fast. We had a new AC system up and running in a day. The crew that installed it could barely speak English, however. The gentleman who gave me a walk through spoke such broken English that I didnt ask any questions, because I felt he couldnt answer them.Things were hunky dory for a while. However, problems started cropping up. I had service calls and then I saw first hand the kind of work they do. I have this fancy air filter. Somehow, when they installed it, they basically destroyed all of the foam on the filter. When a tech came out to check on the system, he used an electric drill to open the screws, and when he put it back on, he put a large dimple in the metal of the cover because he was careless. Nothing was said to me. I had to discover this by putting in a new filter. To get a replacement, I had to call several times and argue with management there. They finally ordered me another door, but instead of the one that uses screws, this one uses clips. I had been told previously by someone at custom comfort that the clips dont work, and this was validated by personal experience. I have to use duct tape to keep it closed. The owner straight up lied to me and said they work fine, though.This was months ago. The reason why Im writing my review now? Our back rooms do not cool like they should. Its annoying but I basically ignored it. Having my fill of the professionals at custom comfort, I call a service company I had used in the past. The rooms not cooling in the back is because the ductwork isnt sufficient. I have complained about the cooling to them in the past and not a word was ever said to me about this.Ive had my system for two years now. Do not use custom comfort.
The installation crew was very professional and personable. The installation of our new system was the best residential system that I have seen. Terry sold us the system and came out the week after installation to tweek the system, do another check and give us a few tips about the system.
Custom Comfort replaced my 18-yr old malfunctioning HVAC system with new, efficient Lenox equipment. Everything went well except we experienced continuing high humidity, near 70%. Their techs came and did repair or adjustment work, but the problem persisted. But, they did not discourage us to call and call we did. Again, the tech Tracy Apker arrived, apologized for the incontinence and wen to work. And SOLVED THE PROBLEM! Now the humidity is at a desirable level of 50+/- 3 % level. Climate in the home is now comfortable.Machines fail sometimes, but what the dealer does to fix the issues differentiates between good and bad service. This dealer did a super follow up job and solved the problem.
Highly recommend Custom Comfort Air! We had obtained three bids for replacing our 4 ton unit and they were the most comprehensive and reasonable. The technician Terry was very polite and knowledgeable. Enjoying our new system this summer!

Awesome company to do business with. Our salesman Tyler explained the options and benefits of Lennox, Custom Comfort Air, and model choices to consider. Installation was available within a few days, the install crew was on time and professional. When finished the install crew explained all of their work, basic operations, provided necessary paperwork, and left all areas clean. The new system is exceeding our expectations.
Colt was on time and prompt with his work. Explained all work which was being done clearly and easy to understand. Different options were offered and clearly explained. When work was done he went through all the completed services and left the worksite clean. Colt was greatly helpful and would highly recommend his work.
Our Trane heat pump compressor fan went out only one month after the warranty expired. It is expensive and would have cost ~900 to replace it - just the fan! Tracy determined that the existing Trane airhandler was compatible with a Lennox 2 stage compressor unit so we just replaced the entire unit which saved us about 7000 compared to the cost of a new system. The Lennox compressor is much, much quieter even on the high stage than the Trane one stage compressor. Were not that impressed with Trane equipment, but very impressed with the Lennox.
Waldir from Custom Comfort Air did a great job on routine maintenance of my Lennox A/C & heating system today. He arrived on time, did a through job, with no problems found. Im a happy customer.

I called and spoke to Terry today when my air conditioning stopped working. I tried everything and couldnt figure out the problem. Terry was able to walk me through the whole thing over the phone and II now have air conditioning again! Amazing customer service and he really knew what he was doing.

Colt the technician came for diagnostics yesterday. Very courteous and professional. They got the motor ordered and kept me informed about it. Today Colt came back and fixed it and now I have heater for this cold day with high 46 low 35.
I have been so pleased with the services provided by this professionally ran company!! Their staff are so honest, hardworking and bright!! I first using them about 7 yrs ago when they replaced both my units. Their latest addition to the staff (that I have meet anyway), David is so very bright and did a great job troubleshooting and repairing my drain pan problem. I will request him every time!

Our furnace broke down and another company told us it required a total replacement. We called custom comfort to quote a new system and they ended up repairing our furnace with an inexpensive new part. Needless to say we will be using custom comfort air from now on! Thanks to Aaron and the rest of the team there, we had a warm house for Thanksgiving.
Sometimes we make mistakes and allow it to define us. When you run a business and you make a mistake what defines you is what you do to make it right. With that said I want to give props to a local company in Rosenberg. Custom Comfort sent out a tech last week that I thought could have been more thorough. When I called to voice my displeasure the owner Richard spoke to me and apologized. I also received a small discount on the work performed. Its not the discount that impressed me the most. What impressed me is that Richard drove to my house, introduced himself to me, shook my hand and apologized to me face to face. Props are deserved and given. To be clear Custom Comfort has always done a good, solid job for me over the years. I have always found them professional and knowledgeable and my experience last week compared to getting a slow waiter at your favorite restaurant. It was nothing that would keep me from going back. I highly recommend Custom Comfort.
Custom Comfort Air - Dont waste your hard earned money using this company. They are not thorough and it is clear to me, from my experience that they get most of there business from repeat trips not referrals. It amazes me how they can ride around with Angies List on their vans. I had a service call and the tech claimed that I had a bad thermostat so I told him that I would replace it ($25) because they were going to charge me over $200 to replace it. 3 days later when I replaced the thermostat, it kept doing the same thing that it was originally doing. I scheduled for another call and the same tech came out but this time he tells me that the capacitor was out and that was $132 so he replaced it and same situation. Then he starts using his voltage meter and says that the blower motor was overheating and shutting off and the good news is that the capacitor is free but now it costs me $725. The tech even checked my Freon levels and said that it was good. My wife called and spoke with the man that handles the invoices and complained about the ridiculous charge and he gave her the run around. Here it is 7 days later and the outside unit is icing up and guess what? The Freon levels were low and I got it fixed for a little of nothing elsewhere. Let this testimony be your warning.

I have done business with Custom Comfort for about 35 years and you are one of the very nicest. You have certainly paid it forward today. Your employer should be very proud of you.
8/5/16Custom Comfort told us that our A/C system had a leak and that we needed to replace our coils. They advised that the aluminum coils were superior to the old copper coils and persuaded us to buy the aluminum. We did so on 7/28/16 and were told the aluminum coils would be installed on 7/31/16. After numerous phone calls the coils were not scheduled to be installed until 8/3/16. Fortunately we caught the Custom Comfort employees attempting to install not the aluminum coils that were sold to us but the copper coils. These employees reported that they were told to install copper coils. The project was terminated and our original copper coils were reinstalled. A third party Lennox dealer then performed a thorough analysis of the system and found 1. The system did not have a leak 2. Our existing coils were performing well and did not need replacing and 3 The system was operating satisfactorily.

We bought house which had coverage from this company and the previous owner authorized to use the coverage now my ac is out from one weeks and they are not working with the coverage and telling me that the coverage is with the name on it. What I have to do or should I tell the previous owner to carry the ac unit with them or the coverage belongs to the location where it is situated.my kids are without ac from 3 weeks .
My wife and I have been customers of Custom Comfort for years. We recently had a problem with a blower motor which was very hard to diagnose and correct. The employees of Custom Comfort worked diligently to get this resolved. I would like to especially thank Terry who pieced many bits of information together to determine what the exact problem was and to get it fixed. I have used this company since 2008 when Hurricane IKE hit in Galveston. I live in Rosenberg and the weather knocked out my electricity for two weeks due to a down wire. I contacted one of the big name companies out of Sugar land/Houston area and they told me my system was dead and I would need it replaced for a tune of approx. 8K. I contacted Custom Comfort for a 2nd opinion and the tech was able to replace a part and it only cost me $200.00. I joined their Gold club and have not once regretted it. They come check my unit twice a year and every single person I deal with from Heather and Michelle in the office to Trevor, Terry and now a new member, Tyler that come out to the house to check the unit all have been very polite, honest and truly do care about their customers. My unit is 15+ years old and went out last night. They were here this morning and I am getting a new system tomorrow. Thank you Custom Comfort Air!!!Jeanette R.

Recently had terrible rip off experiences totally over 1000 dollars that still resulted in a broken home air conditioning HVAC.Needing a whole home replacement is never easy and finacially draining and painful. These folks from Aaron in the field to.Nicole in the office to the installers redeemed my lack of faith in the industry as a whole. Professional, kind, empathetic and courteous doesnt begin to tell the story of how.wonderful a panful experiencr can be. This is the one and only company that you should ever deal with when repairing are replacing your HVAC!

Custom Comfort has a representative at Costco . I registered my name and address with them more than a week ago . No one called as they promised and more than that I found out yesterday that the sheet with my name and other customers is still at the Costco . Very bad customer care .

Maintenance program is not worth the money. They just look at the unit and do no maintenance, two weeks after a service my pan overflowed. They refuse to take responsibility and charged me more to correct their mistake. Very expensive, especially for the low quality work.
