My daughter and I stopped by this facility on Monday and felt very unwelcome by the coach facilitating the class at around 4:30. She was dismissive, short and rude. I understand that she was coaching the class but she could have spoken to me more politely and professionally. Apparently she feels that the establishment does not need members as myself and my family. When asked what the membership dues were, she stated that we like to meet with people and ask about their fitness experience before giving out rates, unsure what that means, someone might interpret that as they charge more if you’re inexperienced, found the statement to be vague. Like I said, I understand that she was coaching but she could have said leave your contact information and we will contact you. There are several other CrossFit facilities in the area that were more inviting and professional, this facility did not make the list.
10 years ago, I swore I would never do CrossFit. I liked the idea and exercises, but I always found the coaches and the environment to be way over the top. Seemed to be unwelcoming of outsiders. Then I was looking to get myself back in shape after retirement and find some thing I could stick with. Then, oddly enough, I see a couple ads for Seismic CrossFit on my Facebook feed. I made an appointment, went down, and instantly knew I was going to do this.I like that they have you go through a month of fundamentals training. Making sure you know how to do the moves before you really start doing them. showing proper form, holding you accountable, and being supportive all the way.The environment is awesome. Heather and Adam are outstanding coaches and the workout environment with the other athletes is awesome. Everyone is supportive, and everyone pushes each other to do better. It’s just been a great experience.
The coaches are all top notch. They know what they are doing and how to help you become the best you can be.
Had a great experience on the phone with Heather (I think). Its always recommending when someone is willing to help another just for the sake of it. So, thanks!
I started at Seismic in Oct 2017. I was never athletic, never played a sport, and couldn’t do a push-up. The coaches met me where I was, and were welcoming and encouraging from day one. They have fostered a community where everyone belongs and is supportive of each other, and where every personal achievement, big or small, is celebrated by everybody. I highly recommend Seismic CrossFit and encourage anyone, of any ability, to give them a call!
I’ve been a member at Seismic for almost a year and have been thrilled with the experience and the results I’m seeing in myself. The on boarding one-on-ones really help prepare you for the movements you’ll use during regular classes and allow the coaches to evaluate any areas that you may need help evolving.Don’t be intimidated by CrossFit, it really is for EVERYONE. The workouts are scalable to any skill level and the culture is supportive and encouraging.Heather and Adam do a great job with the programming. There is a method to the madness, areas of focus get built upon to improve larger movements over time. It’s not just a random grouping of movements for a random amount of time or rounds.I’ve been a member of a few different CrossFit boxes (and just about every big box gym in Sonoma County) and can honestly say this place is the best for culture, programming, and coaching. If you’re reading this it’s because you’re looking for a new box or wanting to start something new. Try Seismic!
Seismic is like my second home. Ive been doing Crossfit for about 4 years with the last year and a half being here. Im motivated to come to gym for the amazing coaches as well as the other members. Everyone pushes me to be better, and I see constant improvement. I could not recommend this gym highly enough.
Love this gym. Very inclusive environment and knowledgeable coaching staff!
I attended both the old and current locations of this gym, Im disappointed in the conduct of the head trainer/owner of this gym, yelling at myself and other clients for touching new gym equipment on the floor on a few occasions.Tried to cancel my membership while I was going on vacation an accidentally paid for the month I was gone, was told I would get 50% the month I come back even though I wasnt going to be there. I was given the option to be refunded for that month but would have to come pick up a check in person, the owner was always a bit aggressive with me I really didnt feel super comfortable around him, after raising his voice towards me I choose to not even come back. After training at other Crossfit facilities and seeing how trainers conduct themselves with clientele, Im disappointed. That said the owner did have a child on the way which may have put added stress on his shoulders in my opinion. The gym also used to have some young trainers who were fun to joke around and lift with which I enjoyed.
I dropped in at Seismic while traveling and had a great experience. The people were great and the facility is great too! I’d definitely go back.
It took me five messages through Facebook messenger for them to finally tell me that the only way I can work out with them is that I have a personal trainer with them. Even though I’m a bachelors of science in Kinesiology with a personal training certification they still said I need a personal trainer to work out with them and still would not give me the price to do that. I didn’t find it to be a very professional response from their end.All I wanted was to drop in on a session as the reviewer (Ryan) below me did but the Facebook messengers response was absolutely poor and said that was unavailableEven most frustrating is that owner reached out via google review comments and not only didn’t give me a price but ignored that the previous reviewer “dropped in” to a session. It’s almost like they don’t want my money and are afraid to publicly state their cross for prices. So goes it. Just wish I could pay you American money to lift your heavy pieces of metal in a safe and sustainable way as well as jump on your rubber pads.Good luck.
Great, knowledge coaches and fun, encouraging environment.
Awesome trainers and a full body workout in one hour! Seismic CrossFit is the BEST!
Best community in town!
