First experience brought me back. Honest and absolutely the most knowledgeable person to work on Volvo cars. That being said, I took my Volvo in to look at the ball joints and replacing the front axles. Finished the job and did I test drive. And on the test drive Kevin noticed something was off on the suspension. Gave me my options (including one to fix myself) but I was like you just go ahead and do it. So I know there will not be any issues. Definitely coming back for future service and would highly recommend.

Came into the shop for a quick oil change and also to get a headlight replaced. Kevin provided very quick service at a reasonable price. The car was a little behind on upkeep, so he also notified me of a few other maintenance jobs that it was due for. I set up another appointment right away and was able to get back in later that week. I brought Kevin an 06 Xc90 that I had bought as a salvage. He found me a complete used engine for it, checked the transmission, went through the brake systemreplaced some components that it needed for the ABS, and updated the software in it. He did a full safety check and made sure everything was A OK. I was kept in the loop the whole way. Very pleased with his work. We, can feel confident now in letting my teenage son drive this Volvo. I have a 1990 Volvo 240 wagon with 250k on it. It’s a well loved vehicle and needs a special kind of mechanic. Kevin surpasses my expectations and addressed all the mystery noises my car was making . He was expedient and easy to work with. I’m so relieved I found him!

I dropped off my car for a check engine light thats been on for a couple weeks. Kevin checked it out and gave me an honest diagnosis of what needs to be addressed. I went to what is apparently known as a reputable volkswagen shop before KP and right off the bat they were trying to get me to pull my engine apart and quoting me some ridiculous prices. Id highly recommend taking your car here if anything is wrong. Ill definitely be coming back if I have any problems.

I have been going to Kevin before he started KP Motorworks he is an excellent mechanic that knows his way from front to rear of the car of any car. I would not go too other mechanic with my 2001 V70 or my future Volvo.

Love working with a Volvo professional! Found Kevin @ KP Motorworks about 5 years ago. My 242 Volvo Turbo 1983 needed smog. Kevin pointed me to other local pros and success! Got a V70 AWD since then and Kevin’s neighborhood shop has been my ‘go to’ provider of Volvo excellence. He gives a hard unvarnished look at what the car needs and a timetable to do it in. That’s what I need to keep going on the freeways back and forth to SF! Yahoo!!!

Ive lived in Sonoma County for almost 50 years and maybe it has made me naive and allowed me to be mislead/cheated by Kevin.I paid Kevin to do a pre purchase inspection on a Volvo 850 wagon that I was buying from a dealer, Greg Hill, that Kevin had connected me with. Since I know very little about cars I trusted/depended on Kevin to tell me if the car was good. His written report mentioned three small leaks and a missing heat shield, and he gave me a positive verbal opinion about the car.When I took the Volvo for its first oil change the mechanic called me out into the shop and showed me that the bottom of the car was all rusted and that the radiator was held in by glue since the regular mounts were rusted away. That mechanics judgement was that the safety of the car was compromised.I have spent the last four months trying to sell/get rid of the Volvo, which proved almost impossible, as I could not lie to potential buyers. Also, they all would open the hood and immediately notice that the radiator was held in by glue and then would ask why I had bought the car in the first place. Then I would have to tell them about Kevin and the serious omissions in the pre purchase inspection.I called Kevin and he was very curt and said he would do nothing more for me than post the car for sale on his bulletin board. There was no apology, just claims that the rust wasnt a problem.I dont know how good a mechanic Kevin is, but I would advise other people to be wary about trusting him.
