Overall, this is a nice club. They have dividers between the treadmills and some other equipment, an added layer of safety and something I have not seen at another club yet. This was pretty crowded for earlier in the morning (5:30), the treadmills did not have individual TVs like some other locations (and are a little older), and they had fewer weight lifting machines than some others I have been to. The bathrooms/showers/lockers were as nice as I have seen at any club. It was clean, accessible, and in many ways exactly the consistency you expect from Planet Fitness. Enjoy!

The club is being run very well. The cleanliness standards are truly visible, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. In addition to this, the equipment is great and everything seems to be truly taken care of. I enjoy going and plan on sticking around for a while!

Elizabeth gave me a tour yesterday and was SO sweet! The facilities are sparkling clean. I love how the machines are organized. It was easy for me to get into my routine and understand where everything is. I’m excited to be a member and achieve my fitness goals here. :)

I love how new and clean all of the equipment is. Never crowded so I always have plenty of room to utilize for my workouts! Very affable staff and membership, reflective of the community.

This was my first time at this particular Planet Fitness and it was extremely clean. It wasnt crowded and you could practice social distancing while working out.

Just too busy all the time. The PF meter doesnt really help. The only time the club is not busy is when its time to work or 1 hour before closing time.They lack some really important gym equipment such as bench press and barbells more than 60 lbs. Also, they lack stretching area equipment. No one is going to lay down on floor. Good gym for beginners but that is it.

Being a black card member is awesome! Being able to use the tanning bed, the total body enhancement, the massage chairs/table, and being able to bring a friend every time are perks you cant turn down. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the equipment is clean and not broken!!

I actually enjoy coming to work out at Planet Fitness. I love that the equipment is clean and well maintained and I love the motivational messages posted throughout the gym - judgment free zone, etc.

Ive been a member of Planet Fitness in Rockwall for almost a year now. I come five times a week during different times of the day. Overall, I am happy with my experience, but I have observed a few areas that could use improvement.Here are my suggestions in order of need:More Smith Machines, preferably with a vertical line of motion unlike the angled ones we have now.The four racks we have now are by far one of the most used and occupied pieces of equipment in the gym. They are almost always full and require the most rest time between sets, and usually people do more than one type of exercise while they are on it. For these reasons, it takes longer for people to finish using them. Two more would really help.More 45 pound platesI have found that there are not enough 45 pound plates to go around because they are often being shifted around between racks, the leg press, and people using them as free weights. I would suggest having at least 8 at the leg press and 6 per rack which would mean adding two plates per Smith Machine.Lying leg curl machineWhile there are two seated leg curl machines, the lying curl works the hamstrings differently. The only one available is in the circuit room which we are not supposed to use unless we are participating in the circuit.More incline/adjustable benchesThe benches are another very popular and busy area, specifically the incline benches. If more cant be added, I would trade out a few of the flat benches for incline as incline can be used both ways making them more versatile.Calf machinesThere are very few options available for calves in this gym. The one calf machine you have has been broken for a while causing patrons to make do with other machines such as leg presses or Smith Machines which are already busy.I understand that there is only so much space in the facility, but I have noticed that half of the gym is taken up by cardio equipment, yet they are never fully occupied (or even close to being occupied). From what I have observed, the number of cardio pieces could be significantly cut down in order to add more weight equipment. I hope we can see some great changes soon.Edit: I emailed the management team over a week ago like the comment suggested and have yet to receive a response. Also, before reviewing and emailing I attempted to speak to the manager about this issue, and she would not come out of the office. She just sent a message with the employee I originally spoke to.

I am a black card member and have been for several years. I enjoy my time at PF. It is time to open back up 24/7 per what we are paying for. Other PF facilities in the surrounding area have. I am paying full price but with less accessibility.

Enjoyed visiting this location. Friendly, pleasant staff. Place is neat, clean and orderly. Lots of well maintained machines and plenty of room to workout.First time ever seeing granite bench tops in a mens locker room. The staff is always polite and attentive, which feels very welcoming. I love having the PF Black card and using the amenities- I definitely get my bang for the buck! Facilities are nice an clean.

It’s time to open back up 24 hours. As a black card member hours are not as advertised yet we pay the full amount. Blaming COVID is no longer acceptable as other Planet Fitness facilities are open normal company hours.

Great gym in a great and safe location. Was not busy with plenty of space to work out on a Saturday.

I like this location the staff is friendly. Some times during my work out I see them wiping down the machines they also replace paper towels alot at the cleaning stations. Dont usually have any issue with machines except for later in the daytime 4-6. Use the app to see the fullness of the gym if not you will be waiting a long time to use machines or weights. I try to go earlier in the morning or earlier in the day and have no issues with it neen crowded. I do recommend this gym have not had any issue as of now. Almost forgot when I had a problem with my bar code scanning on phone the staff was quick to help and get me going. :)

I paid for a 24 hr gym and now they are closing their store in Rockwall, Tx but still charging us all the same price. Other Planet Fitness gyms are back to 24 hrs so isn’t this one. Or knock off some of our fees since people like me that go late at night can’t go.

Pretty sorry of Planet Fitness Rockwall not to honor their 24 hour commitment to their customers. Closing at 8pm is not what was advertised when I signed up. I have no respect for a business that cheats it’s customers.

Just joined planet fitness at another location that’s 24 hours. Was very upset to hear they were kicking all 30 people working out because they were closing at 8pm. I can’t believe this gym doesn’t stay open at least until 10 or 11pm. I’ve never heard of a gym closing at 8pm. Very unhappy member.

I Enjoy the app and check in process from my phone. First day back at getting healthy. In the app I can track my exercise activities.

Great club, staff is amazing! Really wish this club was 24 hr like all the others.

Employees are not very helpful, you must clean the equipment before and after use. Showers are not very clean. But it is cheap 🤷 and decent equipment. There is usually a wait to use the free weights.

I like the variety of equipment and the affordable price, however, you really need to return to a 24 hour format to spread out the crowds. Thats the one thing I miss. Also, after the initial close of the gym during the pandemic, there are a couple of things that disappeared such as specific bars used on the four square machines. This gym has been a wonderful place and I really want to see it stay that way.

Took my daughter today as a new customer and they didn’t let her get in. i’ve been told because my membership it’s classic so I can’t bring visitors she is a new customerWhich does not make sense she is not visitor I was trying to explain to associate but she said NO it’s not allowed

Im gonna join...first time there... Looks good.. Clean... They dont have many free weights and I am not fond of a few other things... But its not a deal breaker

It has lots of equipment but no trainers to help on staff. So if you already know what youre doing cool but if youre new to working out maybe not the gym for you it feels slightly overwhelming

UPDATE: After talking to them they did cancel my membership but they did not refund me the month fees they took out!! I was exposed to Covid not once but two times and called the gym to put my account on hold on 12/14. I was told to mail a letter since I could not go in. I never heard back and on 1/15 they charged my account. I called and this time they said email them, I did it still cannot get them to confirm my membership is cancelled. I guess they do not care about the safety of their facilities and I will have to go up there is person to cancel.

Great place to workout and get in shape.

The gym is ok, its been getting packed lately since covid my complaint is not enough Smith Mechines maybe because people just sit on their phones taking up space and wont move, it would be nice to have the dumbbells go up to the 75 lbs and resume normal hours like most of the other planet fitness gyms.

The tanning beds have so many bulbs out. Some have 7-8 out. There is only 1 bed that has all the bulbs working.

Needs to resume normal business hours like every other PF and gym in the area. I signed up for this gym because of the late hours but Im having to rethink my decision. You cant blame it.on covid because the gyms are less packed at night, than they are before and after most people go to/return to work. Again every other PF is normal hours why is this one holding back. Im tempted to move to other gyms and cancel my membership as Im not able to use it as often anymore because the terrible hours.

If you liked super crowded gyms then this is for you, but for me i like smaller gyms with more weight aspects and things like that! so it’s just not for me!

There is an issue that been ongoing with a staff member that seems to always single us out. Today again she went to my husband and asked him to put a face mask on mind you all the gym is pretty much full of people not wearing their face mask while the workout. Nikki needs enforce this all well with everyone. There just seems to be other situations we’ve encountered with her !

Very modern, clean, high end feel. The locker room and amenities are over the top. Trainers and staff are top notch.

Very nice place with a great staff. Everyone has been very friendly and helpful there. The machines are very nice and theres plenty of room and equipment.

So the gym is open and i called previously to put my account on freeze.. so 2 months go by and i was still getting charged. So i actually went in and told them to freeze my account. Then i got an email showing it was now frozen. I like the gym, but with Covid-19 who wants to take their chance in touching gym equipment with sweat on it from someone who could possibly have the virus..i see the home gym market taking over..if it doesnt get better in the next few months..then i will also cancel my membership and go to straight home gym.

So frustrating. What is the use of having all the employees at the front desk if your not going to make the patrons follow the rules. Sadly people can’t be trusted to follow the rules so it’s left to the employees to make them. While I know it’s hard for them to make people do this to bad. If we don’t all do our part this gym will end up closed down again and then where does that leave us. I would gladly tell people my thoughts but I don’t have time to get into am argument with people in the gym. If people don’t like to follow rules then they should not be allowed to come to the gym. We all have to do our part

One of the best things about this place is just how many things they have you can do. There is literally something here for everyone. I love this gym. It is always kept very clean and everyone is very respectful.I tend to wander when Im at the gym and really dont have any specific places I hang out in. Sometimes its cardio, sometimes its the machines, and other times its the free weights. Everywhere I go, there is always an opening (or a friendly person willing to share) and I never see any of the drama Ive seen at other gyms.The locker rooms are very clean ( I cant speak for the mens) and set up for as much privacy as you can expect at a public gym. I will continue to use this location because its honestly everything you would need in a gym unless you have a specific program you are trying to follow.

I like the black card membership were I can use the tanning beds, water massage chair, and the body enhancement. I like that they are open 24/7 so when I get off of work at 10 I can go to the gym. The staff is so nice and friendly I have never had an issue! The machines and equipment are always clean and so are the locker rooms.

Always very clean and a nice staff. Lots of equipment and you will never have to wait for a treadmill.

Been here for over two hours and the water has been shut off for what ever reason. So there is nothing to drink, nowhere to use the restroom and not possible way to use the showers. I asked how long before they get the water on and the manager said she has no clue. No to mention this is my first time visiting.

BEWARE! They do NOT send you an email when your contract ends, even though they will continue to charge your account, and they DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS. I also never received an email stating they were reopening after quarantine, nor did I receive one before they started charging my account again. I will never have a Planet Fitness membership at any location ever again.

Felt safe

Friendly staff, they are always helpful and willing to answer questions. Club is clean and the machines are maintained. I like the personal trainer holding classes. Also, like the separate areas to stretch, 30 minute workout and 12 minute abs! The hydro beds are awesome after working out. I love that I am to workout and tan at the same place. Can’t beat the price for all that Planet Fitness has to offer!

Just getting back to a workout program at 60, I have lots of questions which are always graciously answered without making me feel they are less than important. I love being a member at planet fitness, but I hate the new hours. Havent been able to make it back in since reopening. Would love it to open earlier or stay open later.

As of this morning, 27 Jan @ 0530, two of the cleaning stations were out of paper towels. This seems piddly however, I witnessed many customers leaving their stations unsanitized upon completion of use. They close at 10pm, open at 4am (actually staff is in earlier to get gym turned on), there should be no excuse for this.

Great gym! Took them long enough to open back up, but Ive always enjoyed working out here

I recently moved to a new area and wanted to join a gym. The two main gyms in town are 24 hr Fitness and Planet Fitness. I went to planet fitness and asked to try out the facility for 1 day so I could decide if I would like to join. The person at the front desk went and asked his boss if I could and they wanted to charge me $25 for a day pass. Never again will I set foot in any of their gyms.

This place is awesome! Every staff member Ive had dealings with have been friendly and helpful. The entire staff is knowledgeable on the equipment and the best workout to get me where I want to be!! Its been a couple years since I worked out and I was uncomfortable but the whole staff in Rockwall made me feel like that was the place for me.

I love my gym! Always clean and weights are put back and the staff are always nice and accommodating with a smile I might add! I love the bagel & pizza days, yes it might be bad for every day but to have that treat once a month gives you something to look forward too! I have recommended this gym to all my family & friends & they all come here! We love it & Im moving to Washington soon, so I’m hoping that the gym out there is just as good to me! Thank you y’all for all you do, even if it’s the smallest thing, it still matters!

Its okay, the area Im in there isnt a lot of choices so itll have to do for now.

I have just joined Planet Fitness and I am just beginning to reap the benefits. I have had both knees and one hip replaced. I am beginning to see more range of motion in my replaced joints and am experiencing more energy.

Eh. The equipment is good and it’s not bad if you don’t need anything from anyone. I originally joined in Dallas, in a part of town that you wouldn’t think was too friendly. But the staff there is TOP NOTCH. It’s like sunshine walking in. In Rockwall, everyone is just so dis-interested and barely skating by doing the bare minimum of what their job requires of them. I am honestly not renewing because of this.

I love planet fitness but there is a white man (not sure of his name) at this particular one who is not very personable. The rest of the staff is great. I just avoid certain times of the day so I dont have to interact with him... its kind of inconvenient.

The gym itself is fine, but the policies for ending your membership are a pain. I canceled my membership and moved away, but it didn’t go through and it’s still charging me. Their policy is either do it in person, or jump through a bunch of hoops and eventually they’ll cancel it. And because of their lack of documentation, you won’t get a refund.

I’m a frequent here. The employees are very friendly and helpful. It’s also one of the cleaner gyms that I’ve been to over the many years of working out.

Stairmaster machine been down for over 2 weeks and counting. Down to 3 machines now. Staff is nice (they get 5 stars) BUT the owner of the gym needs to step it up and get it fix. We also pay a once a year fee that is coming up. Most likely to help keep the gym in tip top shape. Lets get that fourth machine up and running.

I have really weird work hours so I enjoy being able to come to the gym when there isn’t many people there. Even when there is a lot of people in the gym, because there’s so many to choose from; it doesn’t take long at all when you are waiting for a piece of equipment to come available. Also, everything is always so nice, organized and exceptionally clean. Having the extra amenities with the Black Membership is really nice and everyone there is always so friendly.

So I love this gym and I love the staff that work there. They’re all amazing to me. I would give this gym 0 stars based on I used a tanning bed there and got staph. I’ve had to clean my own standup. The guy put me in it right after a lady had just come out without even wanting to clean the bed. So I’m sure the one I laid down in the day before wasn’t clean either. I would advise everyone not to tan here until this problem is taken care of. Nobody wants a staph infection and a hospital bill. Do your jobs and clean the beds!!!! I’m not paying money for a highly contagious infection on my body. 🙄

The people that work there are amazing and the people that workout there are amazing! The equipment is great. The best part is that PF has helped me change my life while meeting some unbelievable people that will be life long friends!

Planet fitness has a pleasant environment and the equipment toenhance a persons well being. also, i would like to see the bagrule waived.

Planet fitness is such a great gym. Equipment and locker rooms are always so clean at any and every location. The tanning beds are awesome and prices are amazing. Workers at the Rockwall location are always very friendly!

For all the guff this place gets, it is 100% exactly what some people need. Im a pretty in shape guy, and when I come here I see people from every walk of life. Some times there are literally a hundred people here, and everyone is always friendly and switching out in machines and with the weights. People need a place where its not just a bunch of the same old guys who are working out everyday and are jacked to work out. If you are looking for a place you can just work out and do your own thing, this is the place.

Great place, but please! For the love of god invest in some more smith machines or squat racks they are taken 24/7 and I never get to use them when they are my favorite machine to use for squat and bench

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I love the separate areas for the 30 minute workout and the 15 minute ab workout. And of course it just wouldnt be complete without the spa area to tan and hit the Hydra bed.

Super clean, super big, everything is new and working great. Came as a guest and so impressed that i signed up that day. Hope it stays this way and they keep up the good work. Only con is the staff did not seem welled trained concerning the black card equipment rooms but worked through it and everything is great.
