During the free estimate consultation, the sales rep was very thorough and very patiently answered all my questions. There was no pressure in his sales pitch, just facts about the Pella product I was interested in. He followed up by providing me with all the paperwork he promised, via email but also by US mail. He went out of his way to help me get a final price that I was comfortable with. Lastly, I have appreciated his quick response to the various text messages from me since the time of the contract signing.
Tyler was a pleasure to work with. He made sure to answer our questions and always followed up in a timely manner. He was very friendly, personable and extremely knowledgeable. This was our first purchase with Pella, and due to the amazing service Tyler has provided us, we will be shopping with Pella in the future and requesting to work with Tyler! Thank you Tyler for all your help, we love how our windows turned out!
I have a large 3 window bank that is original to my home. I had a couple companies out to get a price to replace it but all of them except Pella were not able to make my window due to its size. The sales person from Pella was extremely knowledgeable about windows and construction he answered all our questions explained how the install would be done. I would recommend using David Draves for all your window needs.
Jeremy Roark was very informative. He was really polite and me and my husband had a good time talking with him. He was able to explain everything about the service we would be receiving and even gave me information about a previous project. Thanks so much Jeremy!
Jeremy Roark was one of the best salesman Ive worked with in any field. Hes personable, extremely knowledgeable and excels at communicating. Unbeknownst to me, exterior doors are quite expensive. While I didnt go with Pella at this time, I will consider them once my budget allows it.
Jeremy Roark was amazing to work with. He arrived on time. Jeremy was incredibly informative and not like your typical annoying sales person- this was MUCH appreciated. I would definitely recommended using him as he truly made our experience a positive one.
I found Tyler to be very professional, responsive, and understanding! We placed an order and had to subsequently cancel it. He gave us no issues canceling it and understood our situation!
We had several window quotes for our entire first floor and ultimately went with Pella based solely on our salesman, Jeremy Roarks professionalism, knowledge, friendliness, and honesty. He was a dream to work with through the entire process. Jeremy checked in with us prior to the window installation and the day of installation. Our experience with the installation side was a bit more hectic, but in the end the job was done, and it was done well. Jeremy stopped in on installation day and again, checked that we were completely happy with every aspect of the service and their product. To know if there was an issue during any part of the process and that I could call Jeremy to help, was really reassuring and helpful when navigating a big purchase like this. I would definitely recommend Pella and Jeremy Roark to anyone looking to purchase new windows.
I had a large patio door and 2 casement windows needing replaced. The Pella salesperson (Dave Draves) was great to work with. He answered all our questions explained the differences between the different types of windows and brands. The entire appointment was relaxing, comfortable and productive. I would recommend Dave and Pella for window replacements
We’re so pleased with the service Tyler provided. He was very personable and friendly. He explained the entire new-door process thoroughly, no question was left unanswered. Tyler deserves a raise. I will post before and after photos of our door.
Tyler was awesome! He was really patient with me, showed me a bunch of samples and options and didn’t balk when I decided to change my order from vinyl to wood at the very last minute! Super chill and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
Tyler Riddle was very friendly, and took the time to come up with a solution that worked best for our needs. He was very responsive and helpful along the process. I would recommend working with him to anyone, and have been very happy with our installation product! For something that is a daunting and expensive project, he made it very smooth and easy.
Jeremy explained all of the details of 2 window types and answered all of my questions. He was knowledgeable about the products and patient with me while guiding me. He was a pleasure to work with.
Jeremy Roark, a Pella sales associate, came to my house to discuss replacing windows. He was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The pricing environment is very difficult right now, and he was understanding of my concerns and worked with management to get me the best price he could. I appreciate the level of customer service I received from Jeremy.
Jeremy Roark was very Professional, knowledgeable and patient and took the time to answer our questions and provide us with money saving alternatives and suggestions
I had an appointment with Dave Draves earlier this week. I was very impressed with Dave knowledge and professionalism. His understanding of the Pella window and my needs were spot on unfortunately I am on a fixed income and cannot afford to do my project now but hope to in the future.
Tyler was very nice very professional, he explained everything that was going to take placeThe his personality .
I met with Tyler R. and immediately I was approached with enthusiasm. Not that corny salesman huge grin and a handshake but a very friendly welcoming person. He was extremely knowledgeable about the project which made for a great presentation!!
Tyler Riddle did a great job. He was very helpful and professional.
Dave Draves did a great wonderful job. Very honest guy.
I met with Tyler in June for a living room window replacement. Due to a production delay, it hasnt been installed yet, so I can only comment on Tyler. He showed me several options to pick from with advice, did the paperwork and sent it to me the same day and answered texts within 15 minutes. Very easy to deal with.Debbie Zeleznik
Jeremy Roark was on time courteous and very knowledgeable about the products! Very good experience with this rep indeed. Highly reccomend Jeremy Roark for your Pella needs.
Tyler Riddle was the sales rep that came to my home today. He was very polite, knowledgeable, explained the differences of all the windows and the pricing of all windows. There was no pressure to buy anything I would recommend Tyler if you need windows or doors. Thanks Tyler.
Jeremy Roark came out to give us an estimate to replace a few windows. He was on time, not pushy and we really felt like he cared about what we wanted. Hope to do business in the future.
I worked with Jeremy Roark who came to my house and walked me through the process of choosing a new door. I enjoyed going through the options and picking out something I knew I would love. He was knowledgeable and professional and I trusted his opinion.
Worked with their salesperson (Tyler) on replacing some existing casement windows with double hungs. As youd expect, he was very knowledgeable about the different lines of products Pella has to offer; however, what I wasnt expecting was his keen eye for design. He was available for questions throughout the whole process. Unfortunately, we couldnt come to terms on pricing (which is fine, btw) but would still recommend working with Pella (and dont forget to ask for Tyler!).
My husband and I are first time homeowners, who knew nothing about the window repair/replacement process. We had reached out to several companies to assist us with repairing our very large loft windows. All of which were unable to help us. We then decided to call Pella, and the process completely changed from there. Tyler Riddle, our salesman, came out and literally has spent hours working with us from start to finish. He is extremely knowledgeable of Pellas products and walked us through everything in a way we could understand. He was extremely creative when we were concerned about the costs of custom windows, and came up with a solution that was not only more practical for us financially but also looks fantastic. He also has followed up and checked in with us every step of the way through text, email and phone calls whenever we had questions. I highly would recommend working with him and Pella. In fact, we were so pleased with the process we decided to do a 2nd phase for our project and replace all of our bedroom windows as well. Thanks Tyler and Pella!
Tyler answered all our questions and did a great job overall
Great service, followed up for delay of materials . Service was quick and point in and tech offered to fix a window that needed parts that had been sent to us as he had a little time. Too notch
Tyler was great! Install was easy and fast.
I met with Pella Rockford in Jan 2021. In Feb 2021, I ordered and paid in full for over $14,000 worth of windows. They came in March 2021 and partially installed 2 of the windows and then the installer informed me they were missing pieces and remainder of windows were the wrong size for that site. He said they would correct it with a stat order. I have been calling the Pella manager multiple times per week since this day. I keep being told they are placing a new order, but never receive confirmation or installation set up. Each time I call, it is clear to me that no new window has been ordered. I have requested a refund of my full payment, declined. I have requested to see my original contract, no contract provided. I have requested to speak with corporate Pella, no connection to them provided. My windows are sitting in my garage collecting dust and the partial installed windows inside have a foam glue all over the interior windows. We are now approaching June 2021 without a corrected order number or installation plan. In fact, the manager has completely ignored my calls all day. I feel my $14,000 has been stolen from me in a scam of a company.** UPDATE Sep 2021: the project is STILL not complete. And I have been communicating with Pella corp. Very frustrating. I wish I could go back and not use Pella Rockford.
Jeremy Roark was easy to talk with, knowledgeable about the product. He was prompt and professional.
Pella rep Jeremy was so thorough. He took the time to answer any questions I had. He explained all that was involved with my installation. He gave me different options to finance. He was very professional and here at the agreed upon time. I really felt he was concerned about the work I wanted done, he listened to my concerns and took all the time needed to work with me until we figured out what was best for me.
Amazing service and detail going through every single window. Need more sales guy like Tyler!
Jeremy was very thorough and professional in our home. He was prepared and very knowledgeable about the variety of products offered.
I met with Dave Draves he was very pleasant and helpful. I would recommend him to everyone.
We met with Tyler Riddle as Pella Representative. He was polite, knowledgeable and cutreous. We had a positivie experience and are satisfied from working with Tyler.
Tyler showed window options and helped to take informed decisionHe is v good
Great appointment with Dave Draves he was very professional and really knows his stuff
I was more than excited to hire Pella as their name always gave me a sense of quality and high standards. It was unfortunate to be shown how wrong I was.The sales person was initially more than accommodating and met with me to discuss and finalize my order which was a replacement of all windows, a front door, kitchen door, garage-to-house door and patio door. The order was paid for via 0% interest loan on the same date; 8/18/2020. After that, I never heard from the sales person again even though I emailed him several times.I was told my installation was handled by a project manager but had no idea when my installation date was scheduled for. After months of back and forth trying to get a date, it was scheduled for 12/2/2020 (nearly 3 1/2 months after ordering). The installers were absolutely professional, amazing, and almost completed installing everything within 2 days; even if they were the wrong parts or damaged.* An imperfection in the decorative glass of the front door (swirl in glass)* No exterior trim for the front door (house left exposed to elements)* Dings in the garage-to-house door (below interior handle)* No spring-loaded hinges for the garage-to-house door* Two different shades in each of the patio doors (should be fabric but one was not)* The hardware didnt work correctly in the patio door* Damaged screen in kitchen windowImmediately after the installation, the items listed were not replaced with new items. Instead, they were sent to service. This was more than disheartening. No one should pay this much for doors and windows only to have new things immediately considered used and move to the service section of the company. But thats not all...I had to prove most of it even though the installers wrote some of it up.Months later...a person came to look at the garage-to-house door and front door to repair them, not replace them.A couple months after that, a different person came to repair the patio door and kitchen screen. They found the hole for the hardware in the patio door was cut incorrectly and thats why the hardware was not working correctly. He had a new fabric shade but that is the door that needs to be replaced because of being cut incorrectly. The kitchen screen was different and was missing the mid-support bar and it wouldnt fit into the window. As of writing this review, 3/22/2021, NONE of the items are resolved. Its been two weeks since the last person was here and I have not heard a peep from Pella. Ive emailed the sales person and they dont respond but, sadly, have been sending me marketing material to buy more stuff. Im working with the project manager on some items and the service department on others. The project management part of this was lost from the beginning. Absolutely crazy for new doors and windows. The resonating theme with Pella is lack of customer care, communication and standards. I do not, normally, leave this long of a review but wanted others to understand what pain they may experience. For me, I will try a different company for my door and window needs in the future.
If we could give 10 stars to Tyler Riddle we would!Very professional and knowledgeable!
Dave Draves was very knowledgeable and respectful would highly recommend!!
Jeremy was prompt for the appointment, professional and thorough in explaining the product line. A pleasure to work with.
We LOVE our new doors! When Ted Lapp was here thinking we needed just a main door, we all agreed the storm door also needed replacing. Ted was so conscientious in getting all the details finalized as colors and specifics had to be addressed in the order. He knew so many options for us until we found just the right doors. Mario & David were fabulous installers.
Ralph and his colleague did an excellent job replacing our sliding door and front windows. They completed the work efficiently and in 1 day. It all looks great!
Our experience with Tyler Riddle was outstanding. His thorough knowledge about the product, attention to detail, and enthusiasm were most impressive. We trust in Pellas high quality, and we highly recommend Tyler, and plan on working with him again in the future. Thank you Tyler!
We had several 40 year old casement windows replaced by Pella recently. Our salesman, Chris Paluch was excellent & very knowledgeable. The wood framed windows look so very good, and the installers were professional & meticulous. After the install, my handyman came over to put up temporary shades, and while measuring, he said the windows were installed very well, and this was unusual for many of the new windows he sees installed. We love the new Pella windows!
HORRIBLE experience with Pella - they refuse to honor the terms of their SIGNED contract with us. We signed a contract with a Pella sales representative who came to our home on April 1st. 8 weeks after our contract was signed and windows are supposed to be installed, we received a phone call from our salesman saying the curved window was going to cost more to make and that we, the customer, had to pay the difference. I stated we already agreed on a price of $15,000 in the legally binding contract. Mind you this is for only 2 window openings in my home, so it’s quite a bit of money already! The salesman then put me in contact with his manager who stated the same thing that we had to pay the additional $5,000. I refused and told him the contract was already signed and Pella couldn’t just raise the price 8 weeks later. He then forwarded me to his boss, the general manager. The general manager told me today that they are canceling the contract if we didn’t pay the additional amount. UNBELIEVABLE! This is the 4th project/contract I have done with Pella and cannot believe how they treat a loyal customer and just how unethical they are being. They have no legal grounds to cancel our contract and yet here I am stuck trying to fight against a major corporation to honor it’s contract. So please BEWARE of Pella changing the price AFTER the contract was already signed because apparently the contract means nothing when it comes to Pella’s obligations. Now I have to contact my lawyer - all of this headache and stress over $5,000 which is peanuts to a giant corporation like Pella. I still can’t figure out why they won’t honor their contract price for $15,000 since there’s clearly profit there still. How infuriating that since their salesman misquoted or underquoted our windows at the time of sale and he entered into a legally binding contract on behalf of Pella Corporation they can just cancel the contract whenever they want. And no one in the company wants to help straighten it out, they always tell me I have to go back and deal directly with the sales team. AWFUL - I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS UNETHICAL COMPANY!!
Very Professional and represented the high quality of Pella. I would recommend Tyler to anyone who wants to replaced their windows with a high quality US made product! Appreciate your time and business!!!
We had the pleasure of again working with Mindy Beard when purchasing our Pella windows in the fall of 2020. Mindy was a consummate professional, with a vast knowledge of pella windows, financing options, and planning installation, which went very smoothly. Her customer service is also impeccable, as she takes a personal interest in seeing that her customers are completely satisfied. We love our windows and Mindy too and no.... Mindy is not our daughter.😂
Tyler Riddle provided a highly professional presentation. He explained the process well and exercised COVID precautions. Although I did not purchase on the spot, not because of price, I highly recommend him to quote your product needs.
Good appointment with Dave Draves
Tyler was great a pleasure to work with
Weve had the Rockford IL store (Ted Lapp, Sales Representative) visit our home for three jobs. The first was 10 years ago to have our Dining Room sliding door replaced. It was always hot in summer and cold in winter. NOT ANY MORE! PERFECT JOB!6 years ago, Ted came out to quote us a new 10 w x 7 h bow window for the living/family room. Same conditions as before. ANOTHER PERFECT JOB! This past week Pella installed nine (9) new windows replacing the 23 yr old ones installed in 1999. Again, Thank you Ted! The installers were on time, did a fantastic job, totally cleaned up afterwards, and everything installed is just as perfect as the others!!Yes, it was a lot of money, but were 100% pleased, and no regrets. Im just sorry were out of old windows! FIVE STARS for PELLA and TED LAPP! Roger & Phyllis, Byron.
TYLER Informative and friendly.
Mindy Beard sold me an 8’ Bow window. The outcome was beautiful and the installers did a superb job! Mindy Beard was so helpful and eased my concerns prior to installation and showed up the day of installation to insure a succesful install
Excellent Technician Excellent Product!Only improvement move appointments to within a timely manner. (Walsh)
Great customer service!
I had a wonderful experience with my sales person Mindy Beard and the instillation person. I would highly recommend.
Our sales rep Mindy Beard was extremely helpful throughout the process and really helped my wife and I decide what windows would best work for us and our needs.
I was late for a delivery and they still unloaded.me quickly. Truck drivers use the North driveway.
Tyler was the best!
I understand we are in the middle of a pandemic, but we have been waiting over 7 months for our French doors, with several ship date that came and went. No answers, except due to the pandemic...I bet if I had multiple doors ordered, they would have been here...On top of this, the salesperson mis-measured the door, so if it would have came in....it would be wrong!.....canceled the order...if we would have reordered, we would be on the back burner again!Very poor customer service....I followed your instruction to leave my info, but your site will not let me...
Basically, the experience was good. Unfortunately Pella technicians are always busy and appointments take over a month. Once they arrive the technicians are courteous, knowledgeable and speedy. Pella does stand behind their products as far as being able to repair them but beware, if you are outside of the warranty you will be paying, and it is not cheap.
I have all Pella windows and doors in my house. Within 15 years over half of them are either rotting out or not working right. They will not do anything to back their poor craftsmanship. I will never buy Pella again. Went to Pella showroom to get new cranks for some of my windows only to find they don’t carry any parts you have to do them all on line. Not sure why they have this “showroom “.
Terrible windows and terrible service. They do not stand by their warranties. The windows will rot out soon before the warranty expires and then they will tell you they dont have a warranty - BUYERS BEWARE!
We had windows and doors replaced on our entire home. We had some major concerns matching the wood trim color and also installing around brick and stone openings. Our sales rep Ted did a fantastic job helping us get everything the way we wanted and explaining the process. The custom stain worked out great !! As for the install...the crew was outstanding !!! They finished way ahead of schedule and left our home in remarkably clean shape. We really like our new Pella Designer and Architect wood windows.
Every aspect was a pain. Scheduling, customer service, techs attention to detail, helping the customer, billing. This has been a 7 month process that is still not resolved.
I financed a living room window. The salesman is a very good person, but I feel he does not stick up for his customers or himself. Our experience was that the install date was changed because of the virus that we all are experiencing, I understand that, but what I did not understand is I had already received in the mail the bill for this window when the the window was not even in my home. I called our salesman & explained the situation, he said he would take care of this matter. Days went by & I received ph. calls about setting up another time to install window which I did. I brought up about me paying this bill as at that time I still did not have the window, I was not going to pay for something I do not have. Once again I was told they would take care of this matter. I finally received a call that pella had called Wells Fargo Bank to take care of this matter & I was told that this could not be done. Well I finally called Wells Fargo Bank on my own & the young lady took care of the matter, I asked if Pella windows had called & was told NO THEY HAD NOT.Well the window was finally installed April. 15th, the gentlemen that installed were fabulous, they went right to work & installed the window very professionally. my husband & I complimented very highly, of course they are contracted thru Pella, they dont actually work for Pella. The next day I called our salesman to tell him to have someone from Pellas office to call Wells Fargo to start the payments again, to this very day I have not heard from the salesman. I called once again to the bank & did the job myself. Pella windows does not stand behind their customers, all they want is to make a sale & get their money. Not professional at all. Next time I need windows, I will be going elsewhere & asking the question of Do you start payments before I get my product.Dori WellingtonFreeport IL.
We contracted with Pella for a front door replacement. In March 2018, we purchased a standard door with an ornamental window on the side. When the door arrived in April the window was on the wrong side which would cause us to have walked in over a vent (not within code we were told). So we went back into the process and we discussed with Pella that we also wanted to order a storm door. Pella gave us a cost savings on the storm door so we also ordered an arch beveled glass door for the door. We were set for late May 2018 with the new door and storm door.In May 2018 the door was successfully installed as was the storm door however the arch beveled glass door insert did not fit - when they finally got it lined up it looked to be around 1/4 inch too tall. I called the project team and discussed the issue and I also discussed with our sales representative. We did not hear the end on why it did not fit (my understanding was our storm door was standard size and this was not custom). In late June 2018 they were set to come out with our $400 arch beveled glass insert.Today they came out to install our arch beveled glass insert and it turns out that we were actually shipped a standard glass insert for our storm door. So I called the project team again and we are back in the grinder for another month.I am honestly confused with our results. Pella has a great name in the industry, but we started this project in March 2018 and now it is June 2018 and we still are not complete. The frustration level of dealing with Pella has been worse than any project I have ever done on our home. I had used Sears Home Services for windows in the past and this experience was completely different; no issues during the process. The telltale question is would you use this company again? The answer is No, I would look for someone else. I felt I paid a premium for premium quality and service. I certainly paid a premium but the service has been poor and the quality has been dismal. I cannot say how long their product will last; I pray it lasts a long time because I (a) cannot afford their prices frequently, (b) cannot go through this much frustration for the poor quality in the build process. I wish I would have looked at Yelp earlier - the comments there have certainly reflected on what I also experienced.
Warning, stay away. These people are only in it for themselves. We called them out to document rot damage to our Proline Windows to apply for Pellas $26M class action lawsuit. We were told documentation was free service call. Techs came out but never documented rot, just tagged some blinds that need repair. We received $400 bill in mail. When called they said yes documentation for lawsuit is free but job was coded as window repair estimate. Refused to credit or come back out, billed our credit card, Pella home office refused to help, lost challenge with Visa. How can any honest business justify that?
Had an in home consultation had got completely stood up. Tried calling the local showroom to find out where they were and there is never anyone there to answer the phone and no one ever called back. If its this hard just to get a consultation they must not want your business, and how hard would it be to actually get your product installed!
Windows are leaking water into the house when it rains and the sliding door is rotting at the bottom. Horrible products. Save your money and don’t buy from them!
Went in, spent a half hour looking at sliding doors, then asked for a price on two different options. Even though the doors were standard sizes, they were unable to give us a quote right away and said they would call us. They never called back. When we called them, we were unable to reach the local store and someone from another store in Northbrook called us back. This person said there was no record of our order, and when I said it seems like Pella doesnt want our business, maybe we should forget the whole thing, she said okay and hung up. Pella might make good windows, but never shop at their stores...
Pella sets the standard for Windows I only wish that when I had built my home I would have went with Pella instead of the windows that were used by the contractor. It is an excellent window as far as durability functionality and great support from Pella customer service.
All my windows in my home are Pella, but after 25 years it’ Time to update at least some of them. I had couple replaced a few years ago. I called for Pella to send somebody to check my basements windows tthat was falling apart because of water and humidity damage being close to the ground and the sprinkler system, Ted came and checked the windows and explained to me my options and showed me samples of the close to match my woodwark on the windows and gave us an estimate to window price and labour. I ended up replacing three of them since there was a special promotion at the time.Thte two guys that installed the windows were very professional and clean, and they worked very promptly and cleaned up after themselves too.I was very impressed with the service and the professionalism that Ted showed us and the detailsI would’ve gave five stars for quality and services but gave four for the pricing of the windows they are so expesive but the quality is really good.thanks Ted. And thanks to Pella store.
Doors are good. Warranty is short, and service expensive!
When our house was built in 2003, we had Pella Proline Windows installed. This summer after noticing wood rot on a 4,100.00$ window, Pella refused to come out unless we paid a 150.00$ inspection fee. After Pellas inspection and denial of responsibility, we refuse to give Pella one more dime! Feldco is replacing some of our windows for 11,200$. Thankyou Feldco!
Love pella
Worst windows ever, wood sills are rotting, Service charges 150.00 just to look at them.Dont buy Pella windows .
Easy in and out
Dave Draves was very helpful and informative about our window project. We will use Pella again in the future.
Very good vinyl windows
