I would recommend staying away at all costs, try to find another provider for internet. Comporium Sells 1 gig internet speed. The speed fluctuates from 10MBs to 890MBs, You are lucky to have 200MBs and thats Wired!... i spoke with many other people in Rock Hill and everyone warned me when i moved here that Comporium was not good, unfortunately they have a contract with the city. I guess thats an excuse for horrible customer service too.. Stay Away!
Comporium is the worst option for customer service. It’s like because they are the only option they treat customers as if they do not care. Nobody returns calls and can never give a definitive answer. Because I work from home I need the service but I will be researching everything I can because I am fed out with people giving wrong information and then the next person says “I don’t know why they told you that”. No ownership and no customer appreciation.

Comporium is extremely expensive for sub par WiFi connectivity. Other streaming services have a better selection of movies & programs for less money per month.

I’ve had a terrible experience with them. It sucks that no one else offers service for internet here. I’ve came to this location and had rude reps. Even when you can the reps are lost and I’ve done chat which seems to be more efficient. Overall it’s a bad company...I will say they have pretty good internet service but the customer service is not up to par.
I have had comporium services for decades and have never had any issues until the past few years. They no longer offer their traditional package deals, so the rates go up regularly. My same service has increased by $65 over multiple hikes in the past few years. The service has become very poor and the customer service is even worse. I’ve finally reached the point where it’s time to change.
I was just charged a $25 re-provisioning service fee this month. When I called and spoke to the operator at Comporium, she stated that she never heard of any fee like that, but after speaking to her supervisor, she explained that I had to pay that fee because they couldnt communicate with my router. I was never told about any fee and now I have to pay the extra because their internet didnt work. Gotta love comporium :(

I had to contact the representative, James Jefferson, who helped me in your store because the installer for my internet cut off the television connection. I made several calls to the Comporium Company and no one would listen to me about my problem. One girl told me to contact my TV maker, Sony. James had Tia call me that afternoon and the technician that unplugged the TV connection came back and reconnected. His name was Seth. I called him as soon as he left my house, a simple call from him to someone in the food chain could have saved me a whole day of stress and phone calls. He nor anyone else would help me that day, all they would say was ‘that’s what the work order said’. James and Tia should receive a customer service award, or at least an ‘at a boy’ for doing such a good job. They were very professional and customer service oriented unlike no one else that I spoke to taking my entire day due to Comporium’s boo boo.

Horrendous. Absolutely the worst wifi I have ever had. Whoever made the decision that allowed Comporium to become Rock Hills internet monopoly should never be allowed to make a decision again. The price constantly increases and the quality decreases. I can not wait to move away from Rock Hill and never see the words Comporium again. It should be considered false advertising to call them a wifi provider.
This company is not fair with their clients. Every year they come up with new fees in our bill and when you called and ask why is my bill higher they say that they raise up the price because they want to give the costumers a better experience. 2 years in a row raising prices for a service thats not even worth paying for. Thank God I order new services with a different company!!!

The internet in our neighborhood (Country Oaks) is continuously going in and out and is very difficult for virtual learning or working remotely when it is not consistent... When you call you have to wait average 1 HOUR just to speak to someone and then the problem never gets fixed!!! They say not enough people in the neighborhood are calling and reporting an issue, well maybe its because it takes an HOUR to speak to a representative! Then I find out they went up on our internet bill AGAIN!! And the ironic thing is there is a Comporium office less than .5 a mile from our neighborhood, I guarantee they dont have internet issues or it would have been fixed by now! Completely feel taken advantage of and there is nothing we can do about it except pay the higher rates and continue to call and spend hours on the phone filing complaints to still see no improvement. Please take care of your customers!

I don’t understand how your customer service can be so rude. The rep was rude she even hung up on me. Then your supervisor was rude as well. This community work very hard for the money they earn. A lot of them right now rely on internet to keep a job and provide for families, they shouldn’t have to call in and get unfair treatment. I do believe none of the reps are held accountable for their actions. Same as cherry road location lady at the window is always rude it never fails..... I don’t know who would read this or even if something will get done. But it’s ridiculous on how your company treats paying customers. its been maybe two times when I had to be serviced and it’s been excellent. But something needs to be done. It really does. But I’m sure nothing will get done. But it needs to be.
This place is horrible. They are over priced and have bad service. I have a compromised immune system. I spoke with them online and I was told that someone could come to my car and take my cable box. I went there and they told me that they would not do that for me. So I was forced to go in, when I got there it was like 4 people standing around doing nothing. I would be one thing if I just came and demanded that they help me. I wouldnt do that, however I talked to the people and they said it was service that they would do. And the service is slower than they say it is.
Basic Wifi service is $69 month for lack luster service at best. Not impressed.
Service in my area of Rock Hill is spotty at best. Takes forever to get someone from customer service on the phone and when you do they are in a hurry to get you off the call.

Recently had internet installed in the home we purchased in Rock Hill. The Tech sent out was great to work with. He had our time up and running in no time. Also walked me through downloading the app, setting up a few items, and how to read the health of the network from my phone. Im still a new customer, but very happy with how it has all started.
Never had an issue with them. Just need internet at our home and the quality is great! As well as the price! ☺😄

The price for their internet service went up from $49.99 to 64.95...And for some reason the city of Rock Hill wont allow competitors to come in..therefore Comporium has pretty much a monopoly when it comes to getting affordable internet service!!.I decided to use my mobile phone Hotspot to connect to internet..And will probably get a mobile Hotspot which will be cheaper than Comporium service..I canceled my service with them for internet yesterday..1/5/2021..and to top it off..$64.95 is their lowest plan..That just sucks especially without anymore competition.

We have had continuous problems for several years with the Internet here in rock Hill. We’ve had techs come out numerous times and say that things are fixed and then the next day the Internet is a slow as AOL DialUp. There are no other alternatives here in rock Hill so this is a complete monopoly. We give Comporium between $300 and $500 a month depending on our phone bill and it’s absolutely garbage.

I have been having financial difficulty since Covid. This week it was either buy groceries or pay my Wi-Fi bill so I had to buy groceries thinking since school started back I had a little more time. I am behind 146.00 and they cut it off! My son is doing virtual learning and they said they would restore services if I pay the behind payment and reconnection fee since they have already waived one reconnection fee!!!!! Your community is struggling and having to decide whether they are gonna eat or no way of their child learning. You should be ashamed to not waive any fees while a family is struggling! You have this whole county on lockdown with wifi not leaving any other way for us to afford services nor gain another service! This is the ONLY county that I know that does this and its a trap! Thanks comporium for beating people down thats already down!

Just moves from California and I stopped by Comporium store in Rock Hill to get information. The wait time was very short and the person helping me (Chris) was very knowledgeable and insightful. He assisted in picking the best internet plan that fits my familys lifestyle and set me up quickly and painlessly. Service was installed the next day and has been flawless. The installer explained everything he did and answered all my questions. I would recommend Comporium service to anyone.
My cable bill bundle contract ran out and my bill doubled. I went in and spoke with Courtney McMoore. Her personality was great and she was very helpful in me choosing the right plan for me.
The 4 stars are really a reflection on the professionalism and courtesy of the Staff. If that were all I was rating on, I would give 5 stars. However, the cable lineup, while offering 100+ channels, left a lot to be desired. The channels I want to watch, except for a few, were premium channels. Already I was paying over $200/mo. for the FEW channels I watched AND CAN GET OVER THE AIRWAVES. The remaining 95 were trash!!!!! BOTTOM LINE: WAY TOO EXPENSIVE WITH MINIMAL ROI (return on investment). But, KUDOS to your great staff!!!!!!
I seriously haven’t seen a service so bad in my life. The wireless internet service is so unstable no matter how much you upgrade. It goes in and out all day. Without a storm or a drop of rain. There are no other options so you’re just stuck with them. The only thing they get right is cutting your service off if you miss a payment
My bill went up $20 in less than four months. Paying almost $100 for internet alone is insane and the service does not match the pricing. Not to mention when using customer service chat online or over the phone they’re rude. It’s easy to sign up for and they can do everything electronically, but when you’re ready to cancel it’s a hassle. Would NOT recommend.
Why is this company so horrible and why there is no other company in rock hill to offer services. They are so expensive and the Internet is so slow. This primitive company shouldn’t be the only one to offer dial up Internet here.

Literally, dial up from the 1990s was faster than Comporiums best, most expensive plans. Which are expensive, might I add. I wish Spectrum was available where I live..

This is one of the worst internet connections I have ever seen in my life even those cheap internets from like Walmart called clear for 50 bucks is better than this internet it always freezes it always disappears very expensive for its price Im paying more than 100 for an internet that is worth 30 dollars or maybe even 20 worst internet I seen in my life I wish other internet services would reach this far where Im at if they did I would of been gone long time ago.
I believe it was Dee that I spoke to when I went in to the store. She actually looked at me, greeted me, invited me over and was very efficient and professional. I was not very happy with Tech Support from the night before and the way they handled my call, but Dee took immediate care of me, explaining what I needed to do when I got home. Thats fortunate since I had decided to stay with Comporium or switch to Spectrum depending on how my in store visit went.

Customer service and sales are awful! I asked for an adjustment for my account due to the pandemic of covid 19, Unfortunately my job is nonessential and I cant afford a increase. My bill went up $40.00 more when Ive been on the same bundle package for years, what a coincidence my bill goes up for the month of April and my bundle package that Ive had for years expired which I wasnt aware of. I spoke with a representative last week to inquire about my bill and she didnt mention the increase. Ive been a customer for years and thats the thanks I get, what a great way to show your appreciation Comporium.
They do not tell you the truth told my 87 year old aunt she had 15 days to bring a Phone back she paid 62 dollars for and they Charged her 45 dollars for a Restocking fee what a joke

The visit with the store was fine but the next day the internet is down called and they said it would be up at 6 am no go called at 9 am they said it would be up at 10 am still not up they said it was scheduled maintenance not much of a schedule
Customer service representatives are very kind, take the time to explain. Yet Comporiums captive market with extremely high monthly cost is not friendly to the consumers pockets. Looking for alternatives though I am finding for the services needed it all ties back to a Comporium connection or affiliate.

Was thinking about changing my internet to Comporium who has fiber optic vs Spectrum who I currently have that is cable. Stopped in to talk with a rep to explain what equipment they use and how it connects at my house. Got all of my questions answered - even called a tech to ask a specific question I had . Gave me her business card if I had further questions. Overall good experience - scheduled a new install with her

Overpriced and always slow on bandwidth. Hold a monopoly over the area. You have no choice but to pay their ridiculous prices for their even worse service. We deserve the right to choose between other providers. There are others close by in Charlotte. But they do not serve our area. Screw comporium. Ill just use my FREE tethering from my phone to stream. If youre a gamer, be prepared for spotty and laggy connectivity. Bring your own equipment. Only way to even come close to good service.

I always receive outstanding customer service from Amy LaMar at the Cherry Road Comporium office. She has helped me with a couple of issues that Ive had. On both occasions, she made certain that my issue was resolved, and that I was happy. Can you believe it? She wanted to be certain that I was happy. Now, THAT is excellent customer service. She looked at my account and suggested different options that would help to lower my monthly bill, but yet, she is not a pushy salesperson. Amy is definitely an asset to Comporium!! Thank you, Amy!
