Tried on two separate occasions to use this service. Both times, the cab simply never arrived and I was curtly informed that they had no taxis available when I called to inquire about it 10-20 minutes after they were scheduled. On the second attempt, I had booked a solid day in advance. I try to give the benefit of the doubt where possible, but I wouldnt recommend booking with them based on my experience. I certainly wont ever again.

Great service! Easy to schedule, driver called ahead of pick-up time to verify and give his name, prompt and courteous service. The estimated price via online scheduling versus the actual cost was a difference of $2.50. Overall, very pleased. I will be using them again in the future, if the need arises. I recommend!

I have been using Park Avenue for the last 2 months at least 4x a week. The drivers are courteous and respectful and always on time. I feel safe using this company and recommend them.

Used Park Avenue Taxi today to get across Rochester. Im from out of town, and Rochesters taxi system seemed unfamiliar - not a lot of cars just driving around to hail. Took a chance and downloaded Park Avenues app and ordered a ride. The car showed up within five minutes, and I was kept aware of its location and the route on the app the entire time. Price was reasonable and the driver was polite, even taking a couple of extra bags without issue. Id definitely make use of the service again.

Called for a ride. was told be there in 15 minutes. 20 minutes later I get a call and the girl says I dont have many cabs today and we wont be able to give your a ride. best part was the text message saying thanks for cancelling.

Ive been using Park Ave Taxi for several months now and they have never let me down. Theyre always on time, and always friendly. They also use Square technology which makes for fast, easy credit card payment with a receipt delivered to you via text or email instantly. No other cab company in Rochester comes close to Park Ave!

Driver was on time for a 3:45am pickup. Cab was clean. Driver was courteous and pleasant.

This is the worst cab company ever my daughter has had 2 incidents with them. The first time they dropped her off and as she was getting out of the car she got a call and had to come back home. The driver told her he could not take her home because he had another stop she could wait 30 minutes and he could come back. This second time she had a job interview in webster mind you they know the address in advance they told her she would need a $15 order min cause she was using her card. Her order came to $14.50 on the meter. She paid $15. After the job interview she called them to pick her up and they told her they were doubling the charge to $30. I called to speak with a supervisor and was told they are not available this time of day. So I asked when will they be there he said If your calling them for this reason there is no need they will tell you the same thing. I said so your refusing to tell me the supervisor information He said First of all your calling a public line I said wait isnt this a business He said your cutting me off I just hung up the phone. Thats crazy we have two cars and the only reason she took a cab is because I was working. I will help her finish learning to drive so she does not have to worry about people trying to take advantage of her. I put one star only because I didnt have a choice.

Terrible experience. Driver freaked out over a stop for a few minutes and drove like a maniac after that. Completely ridiculous. Told we were wasting money. If I could zero stars I would. We used them earlier in the night to bring us to the party that we were picked up from and driver was also terrible. Not friendly at all and didnt even know where we were going. Had to use data on my phone to navigate. Very unsatisfied. Will never use service again. Cant wait for uber to move in.

One of this companys drivers almost crashed into me while pulling off of a side street (he clearly did not even take quick glance) on Mt. Hope Blvd.Angry, I presented him with my middle finger as I pulled into a plaza and he drove by. Clearly being an unstable individual, this man decides the most appropriate course of action is to violently turn around and follow me into the parking lot.There, he showed absolutely no remorse for his reckless substandard driving ability but instead proceeded to promise me that the next time he saw me flick him off something bad would happen to me.When I informed the office but failed to provide a van # (but gave an exact time and location, which presumably should be enough to determine the offender) they abruptly hung the phone up.This sort of behavior for a supposedly professional agency is beyond intolerable, and the fact that such volatile drivers roam the roads of our city is frightening. That such an emotionally undeveloped man can be handed a license to drive a taxi forces a great deal of skepticism into my mind about the general foundation of this form of public transportation.

I arranged for two people to be picked up at two different places who are blind. First they got the wrong day. Then the driver went to the customers house and sat outside and never called her. He then left. The woman is blind and could not see the car. He needed to knock on the door or call her. This company is terrible.

I see a lot of 1 star reviews. I used them for about 5 times in last 8 months. So far the best service. The drivers are respectful and were on time or early.

Theyre my go-to cab company and I havent had any bad experiences. Drivers are always polite, on time, and call when they arrive. Theyre usually able to accommodate last minute changes (ex. can you come an hour earlier?). Just got me to the airport on time despite very bad weather and delays everywhere. Would definitely recommend!

Was told 10 minutes, told en route three times after calling, and text 55 minutes later telling me cab was outside was met with no cab outside and operators telling me ten more minutes. Calling 3 different numbers for 3 different cab services gave me the same receptionist. Does this city have one cab service under the guise of many different companies?

I have been a Park Avenue taxi customer here and there for a very long time. There is a woman who dispatches(sounds older) and she isnt the most pleasant person, she will hang up and ignore your calls if she doesnt feel like doing her job.. Which sucks bc park ave taxi has always been good to me.. but when I needed a ride from a bad area of the city, they refused to come and get me even though I have been using their services for years. It has gone downhill, I hope the owner can really weed out the people who do not need to be working for the service. When that happens it will then be five stars.

After being 15 minutes late on a Thursday night for a ride I called 4 hours beforehand, I called and found the cab driver that was supposed to pick me up apparently signed off and they didnt send anyone in his place. Youd think with Uber and Lyft here now, theyd be trying to do their best. So just use them instead.

Dicey service. Some drivers are very courteous but others are extremely rude and will try to extort money from you, without having turned the meter on. Going to look for an alternative for my cab needs! UBER are you listening???

They say they take cards but when my ride was completed, the driver informed me of a 15 dollar minimum. Had to bump my fare up. To 15 from 10 to complete.When asked about this later in a text from the company they said that they informed me. I sent the screen shots of the conversation Id had with them and no where did it say 15 dollars minimum.Their response to that was that my conversation wasnt about the ride I had been talking about. What poor service.

Horrible and unsafe! First of all, the driver went to the wrong address. Then, my driver swerved into the opposite lane crossing the double yellow multiple times. He also drove into oncoming traffic . When I pointed out his unsafe driving behavior, he yelled at me and threatened to make my complaints a racial issue. When I asked to be let out before my destination, he was aggressive demanding the full fair to the destination and tips. I would never use this company again

I was using Park Ave Taxi almost daily since probably about April, yesterday I called for a pick up from work, the driver first off called me and didnt know where to pick me up (even though he had the address and a GPS) then when i got in the car he asks if i knew how to get to my house...he had a gps anyways he ended up trying to take the long more expensive way when i corrected him he got angry and started talking under his breath, I spoke up and he got loud and rude with me and threatened to drop me off in the middle of the inner-loop I then informed him if he did so he would not be paid. I then called Park Ave taxi while in the vehicle the lady told me basically she could tell her boss but i couldnt speak with her boss and that there was nothing they could do because they were independent drivers I ALWAYS TIP WELL AND USE YOU GUYS A LOT I WILL NO LONGER AND NONE OF MY FRIENDS OR FAMILY WILL EITHER. WORST TAXI EXPERIENCE EVER.

This is a terrible taxi company. I called and me and my wife waited almost an hour. When I called back I was told the driver was 2 minutes away. After waiting another 5, 10 minutes I called and was ignored. I would never recommend them to anyone.

I used this company for 3 rides within two days. The first time the driver was taking me on a 5 mile trip but instead takes an 8 mile route so he can run the meter up to nearly $30 for no reason at all and the driver doesnt say a word to me the whole ride. The second trip I scheduled to be picked up at 11:40am and he shows up at 11:20 when Im trying to finish getting ready for work calling me non stop screaming that hes been sitting there for 30 minutes when I didnt even ASK him to arrive at that time. He is violently pulling away from my house as Im walking up to the car and mind you, it was a 3 mile trip and he demanded that I pay a $25 minimum one way when the car window clearly states that the minimum is $15. The jackass doesnt even turn the meter on and is using his GPS on his phone driving awfully all over the village of fairport on the longest route for no reason because he didnt even turn his meter on. When I was trying to get a ride home from the same 3 mile route, this second jackass tells me that its a $30 MINIMUM when the other guy an hour before told me it was $25. My meter barely hit $15 and he demanded I pay $30 on my card and never gave me a receipt or offered one. I will NEVER use this scam artist, rip off, rude, unprofessional and bottom line JOKE of a company ever again. I am disgusted by how these jamoke cab drivers operate. Life tip: if you need a ride thats under 5 miles, save yourself over $60 and walk because itll be worth it in the end without having to deal with these con artists.

If I could give a 0 star review I would. Not only are their prices ridiculous, but the company has poor customer service. On my most recent trip with Park Avenue Taxi, I had a problem with their driver Sam (Vehicle:109). When I went to report the driver to the company, I was told that the owners would contact me about my complaint. I was never contacted, so I called 2 weeks later. Once again I got the same result. I have contacted this company a total of 3 times and still have not had my issue resolved. Do not use their services.

The worst taxi service I have ever seen! We called for a ride from airport to our home. They asked for our flight number and said they could track the status of our plane. When we have landed, we received a text saying the driver had left because he arrived earlier before. We called back and they said it was not their fault. Do not use this taxi service please. They will only waste your time.

I was waiting in my apt lobby and peeking out every now and then because it was too cold to wait outside with my 20 month old daughter. I called the company again to find out where the driver was. Apparently he was there waiting for me and has called me several times but I never got those calls. Anyway, I walked out to the parking lot and saw the cab. The driver started to drive up towards me but stopped a few feet away then stopped. I couldnt walk up to the cab because I had to wait for my daughter to catch up to me plus I had a car seat with me. The driver seemed to wait a minute or two until he finally drove up to me. Then no greeting, no coming out of the cab and helping me. Once I got my daughter settled in her car seat I got in the cab and the first thing out of the drivers mouth is that he called me several times and tried to blame me for not picking up. First off he had the wrong number! but the fact that he was trying to argue with me was rude! I told him the dispatcher should confirm phone numbers because he never asked for my phone number. Then halfway into the car ride he says I dont blame and I dont blame myself so you DID blame me in the beginning and thats why you were rude????? I will never use this company again!!!!

Well I called they told me it would be $15 and it was $18 then the driver didnt even know where we he was going. He took his time even stopped and waved to his friends which was complely annoying and rude to do when you need to be somewhere important.

Awful customer service. The driver was very impatient and left before I could get outside, then proceeded to text me and say some very racist things to me. I called the company to tell them how theyre driver acted and to get a new taxi and the woman who answered hung up on me before I could even finish speaking, twice. Please nobody waste your time with this service you will be very disappointed.

Not once, in four taxi rides, was I ever charged the amount on the meter. There was always an extra charge or a minimum that was not mentioned by the dispatcher or before the ride began.THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS.If you have the option, I would rather hitchhike than ride with this company again.I hope Uber comes to Rochester and destroys them.

This is the same dispatcher as the Brighton Taxi service! I am so very disappointed, on April 27, 2015 I ordered a taxi to go from my home in Brighton, NY to the Wegmans on University and East Avenue. I was told there was a minimum charge of $7.00 for the Brighton area. I thought hey thats not too bad, I can deal with that beats having a car and driving. The taxi guy showed up, and I was amazed he didnt know where the Wegmans was, so we sat in the driveway while I looked it up on my phone and got the specific address so he could program his GPS. The driver was very pleasant and we got to Wegmans with no problem. I tipped the driver an additional $2.00 for the convenience. When I finished with Wegmans, I again called Brighton Taxi again was told the minimum was $7.00. Park Avenue turned up and assured me it was the same as calling Brighton. The driver was again very pleasant, but went the long way around to get me to my home for a total of $9 again I tipped $2.00. Thought this was still within the realm of acceptable.Today 5/10/15 I called Brighton to get a taxi to the Tops on South Clinton and told him I knew the minimum was $7. He said NO the minimum was $15 I asked if this was one way, he said yes. I explained about the 27th of April and he said NO the minimum has never been $7. I declined the service. I then called Park Avenue and got the same story. At the end of which I explained that I too was self-employed, and had access to my computer and after I refused the service I would be going on-line and writing a review of both services.I am extremely disappointed, I checked prior to calling both services to make sure they were located in the area so that even with the low income rate for working within their own area, they would still make a profit. If Im going to pay $15 + tip for taxi service, I will get it from anyone in any area, and definitely not Park Avenue or Brighton.

On Jan 5 2018 I called for a cab the lady told me it was a $15 minimum due to weather conditions. It is against the law to price gouge due to weather or any other reason due to out of our control. Ive used this company many times but due to this I will no longer use their services. Im very disappointed in the company.

I had to take a cab to the train station in the morning and the cab showed up 25 mins late. Had he been 5 mins later then I would have missed my train. It was cold and I got no phone calls about the delay and when I called, I was told that the cab would be there after 8 mins but I had to wait 25 mins. Wont be using them again!

This was my first and last time using Park Ave Taxi. Husband took a taxi to the airport this morning from our house, which we done numerous times as we fly quite often and the trip has never been more than $20 (I even took a cab to the airport myself earlier this evening and it was only $18). The taxi driver went the wrong way and charged us $32. I called to complain and the person I was speaking with hung up on me! I will never use this company again and I dont recommend you do either!! Rude and horribly bad service.

Taxi overcharges by taking a huge detour so they can compensate for using friendly sqauare technology to charge your credit card. When they ask you how you are going to pay dont answer.

I am very dissatisfied with the service I received this morning. My driver was not driving safely, didnt know basic left/right directions, tried to overcharge me by $6, and then couldnt figure out the charge card mechanism. I was trying to get to urgent care and am in excruciating pain and the last thing I needed was this mess. I will never use this service again.

Very VERY slow. If I could give these people a negative score, I wouldnt hesitate for a second. Made me late to work because they went to the wrong address even though it took me 10 minutes to get the person on the phone to understand my description of the address so there should have been no mistake. Still managed to get it wrong ?? Then the girl on the phone said that the minimum was $15 so the cab driver takes THE longest route to get to my destination and make my bill $17. Then when I go to pay the woman charges me $20 anyways when the girl on the phone clearly said that it wasnt ?? I shouldve called right then and there and asked the dispatcher right in the driver face. They tried to play me, which I am not happy about. The cab was absolutely filthy and reeked of marijuana, mustiness, and cigarettes and had white crust stains all over the seats (???). I will never use this service again and I will steer away anyone else who makes the mistake of considering these people. STAY FAR FAR FARRRRR AWAY ! Youve been warned !!
