I needed one license plate taken off and they told me they’d have to take a panel off my car, it wouldn’t be easy or cheap, I needed to make an appointment for next week. The next place I called did it for free same day in less than 10 minutes. Don’t like when people try to rip me off.

Had a trailer tire blowout on the way to vacation, they found and installed 4 new tires and a wheel bearing, fast work, they were found by accident and were fantastic! Very reasonably priced also!

Had a real bad emergency and needed to get back on the road quick. Matt took care of me quickly and got me right back on the road. Thank you.

Our son recently had car trouble and being a student and originally from NJ, he did not have a mechanic in the area. We feel very lucky that he found Smittys Automotive Services. Even though they were very busy, Kerry resolved his issue. Very honest and reliable. Good people. If you are in need of Auto Repair, take your car to Smittys.

They arent rude and inconsiderate - according to the reviewer above.. they are BEING reasonable. If they say no then it means no, but if they nod their head yes then youre in luck! I have a very high respect for their line of work. Firestone on the other hand totally ruined it.. screw them. Smitty did a lot better job than Firestone who hired drug junkies off the street to fix peoples car.Secondly, they get the job done for a REASONABLE PRICE! I had a transmission blown out last year and they replaced it within days. And 12 months warranty, fantastic!!!!Now I have to get my gas tank replaced because he warned me last year and I didnt heed his advice, now hes slapping on my wrist and wont past inspection to get it replaced. Granted, that man got a point and I see why.Now, attitude does matter but I often disagree. Firestone was very nice to me but all they care about is profit and I can see them eyeballing me for money, and KEEPS asking me to apply for Firestone credit card. Smitty Automotive doesnt do that, they give you an estimate, a reasonable estimate. And a good job on the repairs.

If your looking for that Trusted Mechanic, Smittys is the place! Just knowing that they really do look out for you is such a relief. From complete transmission rebuilds to general repairs for multiple model cars, Smittys has been there for us for years. Recently I made the mistake of getting a truck transmission rebuilt at Dealership to save a few $ because of partial warranty coverage. Big mistake... it took two weeks to get my truck back and then it blew out again 17 months later. Thats 5 months past their warranty period so I was out of luck! 17k miles on a transmission repair! In the end, the guys at Smittys assessed the failure, rebuilt my transmission correctly, and then went to bat for me with the Dealership. In the end all is right with the world.I highly recommend them!

Smittys saved me!! Very helpful and friendly! My transmission went on my vehicle and me being a female, I did not know a fair price range for that type of work. I didnt want to get ripped off so I called many different shops in the area who quoted me at $3000 or better!! Smittys ended up doing the work for almost half the cost at $1600, did an awesome job and had my vehicle back and running in no time!!! Thank you smittys for being so helpful and not ripping me off!!! I will never go anywhere else!!

I have trusted Smittys Automotive to take care of my car for 15 years. Ive always been given honest information on what my cars needs are. They accommodate my schedule and are easy to work with . I know I can count on a fair price too! I have tried other Dealerships and find myself questioning all the extra costs they build in. Its like paying someone to change the air in my tires. I recently was told I needed new calipers and brake pads at the Dealer, but opted for a second opinion, Im so glad I did. They determined my calipers were fine. So I was spared a $1000 bill at the dealer and paid a fraction of that at Smittys.I appreciate the relationship I have with Smittys and will be continuing to take my car there for service as long as I am driving.

Took truck there for 100k maintenance. Very pleased with service. Most shops define transmission service by flushing out all the fluid and backflushing contaminates out of filter. I only found two shops that go as far as dropping pan and replacing filter. Smittys was one. They were also half the cost of the other shop. Notified me brakes were getting low but didnt try and upsell me a repair I didnt need at the time. They performed a free look over as Im taking the truck on long trip.Cons: I didnt get a call when vehicle was completed, but that doesnt bother me. I wasnt swayed by the negative review because transmissions are very complex. They likely found more wrong with it once the had it apart or tested it. That happens.
